Imperial Garden continues to provide fabulous food and service. We last got food from here last night. They were thankfully open on New Year's. My order was ready when I came by to pick it up. They offer online ordering on their website, but I always call for pick up. Pick up orders are usually ready within 15 to 20 minutes. The menu is quite vast; it offers plenty of pescatarian and vegetarian options. I love their kung pao shrimp. The location is kept well maintained and clean. There is always plenty of parking. Finally got to try Imperial Garden and it falls somewhere between 3-4 stars. I always round up when I'm unsure of the number, nice staff will always leave enough of an impression on me to round up. This restaurant is definitely giving blast from the past, I loved the inside. Baby pink and green decor. It's definitely old school in decor and that's what gives it its charm. I called in an order for pickup so I didn't get to dine inside but I went in for my food and waited a few minutes so I got a good look at the place. The staff working here were very very nice. Both a woman and a gentlemen helped me and had friendly attitudes. I felt my patronage was appreciated. My food was ready right on time and packaged nicely. The food overall had hits and misses. Every dish was good but having read some of the higher 5 star recent reviews I think I had gotten my hopes extra up. The dishes I enjoyed were the veggie egg rolls. As simple as they were they were very tasty and the winning combo is how good their spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce are. Would totally get this again. Another dish that I liked was their chow fun, needed a little more sauce in my opinion but was promising. The two dishes that were average were their fried rice and shrimp egg foo young. Wouldn't likely get them again or recommend them. Not bad by any means but just okay. An appetizer, one main dish, one noodle dish, and one fried rice dish came to $60. Always on the hunt for good Chinese food. This place definitely filled my craving for the day but not sure it would be in my very top Chinese restaurant recommendation for this side of town. My second and last time eating food from Imperial Garden. There are certain dishes I enjoy spicy. The first time I ordered Curry Chicken "spicy-spicy", but it was mild at best. This time I ordered the Spicy Eggplant and requested it be "EXTRA SPICY". Again, it was only mild. There was nothing even remotely spicy about it. If these folks can't make food to order as requested, then I won't be a customer anymore. Very disappointed. read more

We mainly order for delivery. The man who delivers the food is a very nice man. I told him I was in China 8 times and we became instant friends. The food is wonderful and it's consistent!!! The shrimp in lobster sauce is our favorite. The service when we eat at the restaurant is wonderful, they treat us like family. The surroundings are more than pleasant. Mother's Day Luncheon. We ordered off the 'Imperial Specialties' section scoring the crispy LEMON CHICKEN (3.5 stars) and the SUB-GUM PAN FRIED NOODLES (4.5 stars). That lemon chicken was crispy good but it was one-dimensional. You have your chicken, and you have your sauce....that's it. I don't know why but my 89 year old stepmother-in-law and wife both decided they needed their own order. Of course almost a full plate's worth of lemon chicken rode home with us in a box. The SUB-GUM was the hit of the meal with bok choy, broccoli, carrots, onions, pan fried noodles galore, chicken, shrimp and tender flavorful beef. Factor in that this also easily fed 2 people and you've got a bonafide bargain at $15.98. Score a buncha steamed rice for a buck and you're in business. read more

The staff is always friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. My two-year-old loves their soups and they always go out of their way to make her feel special.
