Walmart prices without the lumbering families walking hand in hand, taking up an entire isle. Sure, you can't get guns and ammo but we have plenty of stores in the Valley for your firearm needs. Love the bulk section. Things that really stand out. Bulk Coffee: I'm a coffee snob. I buy only the best but after a shove from my daughter, I gave it a go. $5.99 a lb for the espresso roast. It's on par with peets, starbucks, etc. and remember, that's a full lb not t he 12oz size offered on the shelves. Dairy: One of the few places you can find Dairygold in the valley. Maybe the only place. If you're from Seattle, you probably have a place in your heart for Diarygold. The butter is the absolute best. Chicken: I realize that the fresh roasted chicken is available at every grocery store but at $4.49, Winco has the competition beat. If you live in the area, you'll usually get a 10% off coupon for $100 or more. Look for it, it's a great deal. read more

Happened upon the WinCo as I was out for my weekly grocery run so I decided to go in and see what this place was all about. Upon first entering, I. Wasn't quite sure which way to go...the stores seems rather large and the layout is completely different than other grocery stores. Some aisles go slanted some go front to back, so it took me a bit to get my bearings. I did find a little map that you can have in hand for some help. The prices were definitely better on most of the items that I typically buy, however, if those items are on sale at my local frys or the like then the sale prices are better. For instance a can Hunts of spaghetti sauce at WinCo everyday is 1.29. I know on sale I. Can get it for .99 at walmart etc. Overall though, if you are not typically a coupon shopper, then this place would be your best bet as the everyday price is cheaper. My lack of 5 stars is simply for the meat selection, both deli and bigger cuts ie: roasts etc. I did buy the store brand lunch meat (ham, turkey, and roast beef) to give it a try and it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. The store was very clean and the employees were very friendly. You do have to bag your own groceries, not a big deal but I stood there for a second before I realized this. I would definitely shop here again for basic things on my grocery list. read more

We love this store!! SO glad we discovered Winco, The selection is always top-notch and the store is always clean. We save money here compared to other Grocery stores like Safeway and Fry's. Their prices are lower on almost every item, It must be because you have to bag your own groceries and they don't take coupons but this has become our weekly grocery store! I wanted to talk to someone in customer service and I got yelled and basically asked why am I bothering them and very unprofessionally told that customer service is closed. My husband equates Winco to Disneyland (he is a numbers guy and is ALWAYS price shopping on groceries. We have found so many great deals here. They have a fabulous bulk foods department. You can find almost anything under the sun. They also have more organic choices in this section than I would have thought! Our favorite deal so far has been the jumbo cooked shrimp in the seafood department. They are about $7 cheaper per pound than anywhere else in town, and they taste amazing. My only complaint is that they don't have many organic choices in the produce department. read more

We love Winco! It's easy on the pocket especially on produce which has been good quality so far. Also Milk is always under $2 a gallon! I love all the different types of breads they carry and their HyTop brand products aren't bad. We hate shopping at Walmart and supporting an awful company. Winco treats their employees well and have always had exceptional service. You can't compare it to Fry's or Safeway it's a hybrid! What really helps is that it's great for just 2 people, I don't always want bulk quantities from Costco but love the grocery store prices that are very competitive. read more

I happened to be in the neighborhood and needed some snacks, etc. for my wife "locked up" in a skilled care nursing home :) Easy parking, clean wide aisles, lots of choices of "normal sized" products unlike Cosco. Bulk items as well. Amazing variety of common items at excellent prices, many cheaper than Walmart. The staff was great, very helpful, sought to help me with location of products and managing to self checkout. Always open. They take cash, checks, debit cards, but not credit cards. read more

Self check out cashier is rude. Went shopping on a Friday afternoon. They had 2 registers open and all of the self check kiosks open. When it was time to check out the 2 open registers both had lines about 3 people deep with full carts. There was not one person at the self check out and the store was dead. I went to go use the self check out and was stopped by the cashier who stated that i had more than 15 items in my cart and i would have to go wait on the other line. The sign above the self check out says ABOUT 15 items ... i counted mine and there was 18 items but she still refused to let me use the self check out even though there was no one using the kiosks or anyone waiting. At first I was going to ask to speak to the manger, instead i left her my 18 items and went to Walmart instead. I think i will just continue to shop at Fry's and Walmart where i can use self check out any time i please and they have better costumer service. read more

WinCo makes my culinary dreams come true. Switching to shopping here from Fry's carved anywhere from 30-60 bucks from my weekly bill and they have a really large selection with things I've had to really hunt for in the past. Their prices are unbeatable especially if you buy stuff on sale which is easy to spot because they do color coded tags (look for green). The staff has always been super friendly to me and I've been shopping here since they opened. They don't take credit but that's probably is part of the reason their prices are so low, I love that they're employee owned and perhaps this is just me but I love bagging my own groceries in the exact order I put them on the conveyor belt, I'd rather do it myself than watch someone else who doesn't care as much do it. I do wish they would play music or something because it does seem too eerily quiet sometimes and buying their produce can be a dangerous game (seriously, eat it fast), but those are my only very non-serious complaints. They have an awesome selection and I'd have to really be convinced to ever shop anywhere else. read more

On Monday, March 12th, I returned moldy rolls i had bought the Friday before. However, it was 7am and I stood around customer service maybe 5 minutes, not too long. A cashier yelled over "they are not in yet." I told her I needed to return these rolls. Apparently returns must not be pleasant over there because all I received was attitude. I had to wait through 2 more customers who were not there before me to get my $1.78 back and the comment, "let me get through these people. They probably have somewhere to go." Are you kidding me? I was on my way to work! No apology from her either. Usually, I get much better service, but the last two visits haven't been so nice. Winco train your employees please! If I was a rude person, she may have had some issue, but I'm not. But if this happens again, make sure your manager is on staff because I will give him/her an earful! read more

My boyfriend raved and raved about Winco and talked about his experiences going here often growing up in California. When they finally built out here, we ventured out to shop. Store front is large, in a good location with ample parking. Shopping carts are deeper than normal, which is smart. Store layout is somewhat of a maze in the beginning but is large inside with a lot of product. Prices are noticably lower on many items but not on everything. It might take me a couple more trips to know what to get here to save money and what I can continue to buy at my neighborhood store. Staff is also very helpful and we used our spend $50 get $10 off coupon. Shoppers bag their own groceries so dont expect that when you shop here. Overall, I liked Winco and will return! read more

My husband and I recently discovered Winco and so far we love it. When we compared prices, we found many items at a much lower cost than we had been paying at other stores. Suddenly we are buying a whole lot less from Fry's and Safeway and relying on Winco for most of our grocery items. Recently I bought some seasonal pumpkin flavored coffee with a freshness date of June 2019 for only $1.99 and a bag of Ghiradelli peppermint brownie squares with a freshness date of July 2019 for only $1.49. We also appreciate that when an item rings up at a cost higher than the shelf sign, they give you the item for free. read more

Somehow Winco makes grocery shopping worst than it has to be. I had been anticipating the opening after watching it being built, so my husband and I tried it soon after it opened. It's a cold warehouse with no music and an awkward layout. As we walked around we felt like their prices were really good, but they didn't offer everything we normally get, so we still had to stop at Fry's on our way home. And deli meat? Not fresh cut- cut hours ahead of time... When we got up to the counter we expected to be pleased with the good deals we got because every price seemed cheaper than what we normally pay. Instead it was more expensive than what we typical pay for the same items at other grocers. I almost asked the cashier if she had rang something in wrong. We were baffled. Plus you have to bag it yourself, AND you can't pay with a credit card?! Worst grocery shopping experience ever. Grocery shopping already sucks and they found a way to make it worse. This is my favorite grocery store for dry goods for baking, pastas, rice things like that. The bulk section is very unique and awesome. The store is always super clean the only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is the produce isn't as fresh and high quality as some other grocery stores in the area so I usually just skip that part of the store. read more

No credit cards accepted here, that's a huge factor in me not returning. Plus, the environment wasn't too spectacular--it had a quiet eerie feel to it. This is a pretty nice grocery store ( but I do miss my favorite grocery store back home- Mariano's) prices here are good, there's a good variety of produce, a very good bulk section and good customer service ( few weeks ago I purchased a pack of steaks and the next day the meat went bad and they were able to give me my money back. I have to come back and mark Winco down from my already low 2-star, to a 1-star. I went back because it was convenient, and picked up Apples, chips, some bulk candy, and some frozen foods. I found the apples overripe, the chips smelled like they were stored next to dryer sheets, and some of the candy was so stale it was hard as a rock. When three out of 8 (counting the frozen foods I also bought) items are defective, it can't be a coincidence. Obviously they are selling inferior products and that is how they bring the price down. read more

I am beyond happy that Gilbert finally has a WinCo! This is our favorite place to shop for many reasons, but first on the list is the BULK section. There are so many things available that I can't find anywhere else in town. We love their low prices and wide variety of products. Produce is good, even for the price. I love that they're open 24 hours, especially on weeks when I'm unable to get to the store until late at night. We always fill our 5 gallon jugs of water here. Bulk, bulk, bulk!!!!! It's a mini cosco minus the membership fees! I love the bulk options and choosing my own spices, candies and even pounds of pasta. There isn't much staff around but the ones you encounter are friendly and always say hello. The store is always neat & organize. Keeping costs down by bagging your own groceries is cool except I can't keep up. I like to go late at night for this reason so I don't hold up the line slowly bagging my own stuff. read more

The store is large so it can be time consuming to travel up and down the isles looking for things but I always make sure I have time to browse. This place has it all. This is a great place to go for a lot of grocery shopping. The store is very clean, and the seemingly unlimited bulk food bins are a great way to get a lot of food for cheap. But watch out, they have tons of candy and snacks in them, so don't shop hungry! The bulk foods include coffee and they have a Huge selection of whole bean for under $6 a pound. The cashiers are very friendly, and if bagging your own grocery's are what it takes to shop as cheap or cheaper than Wal Mart, then count me in! read more

We have shopped here about three times and will definitely be back. The store is VERY clean and organized. It is not hectic at all which is a nice change of pace from Walmart or Fry's. Plus we have never had to wait to checkout because there is always a cashier open. I do wish they had a bigger selection of g.m. items (toothpaste, soaps etc...).
