Our first stop on our first trip to Navarre Beach. We couldn't have picked a better spot, one that said, "welcome to the beach!" My husband & I visited late Friday night, and loved the back deck overlooking the water, live music, and great beach bar food! We travel to the Gulf as often as possible and love local seafood, but have a pretty good sense of where to go & what to order- we decided to order the hamburger & bbq sandwich here. Big portions, enough to take leftovers! I understand you're mostly paying for the amazing view, but the service is terrible, and $6 for a beer, really? The wine is little bottles of Barefoot that they at least pour in a glass. Haven't tried the good, but they did get a new chef who is amazing. Overpriced for what you get. Oh, you sit on aluminium chairs that will burn your butt come warmer weather. Made reservations through the Yelp app, arrived 10 minutes before our time to be seated only to be told "we aren't using that feature tonight" and we would have to wait another 30min to be seated. Frustrated, we went to the bar and waited 15min to get a drink. The bartender did fine but was alone serving a full bar and pouring drinks for the server's tables as well. I was disappointed in the food and drink. Mack was the bartender. I shared that my margarita tasted like it had Sprite in it. I asked for another shot to add to the drink. Imagine how frustrated I was to receive a bill with a $16 drink AND a $13 shot. Steak tacos had too much spicy aioli and there was regular slaw from a grocery store on it, not the advertised avocado/lime slaw. First time, family of 5, enjoyed it. Great views of the beach, friendly service, and nice atmosphere. I had the fried shrimp platter and we shared some cheese curds. All very good. I've never been treated so rudely in all my time coming here. It was 8:30 couldn't get a clean table or served food. Was told to sit in bar area for drinks. Tables were dirty, still couldn't get anyone to wait on us. 9pm they call last call and still wouldn't give us the time of day. A simple I'm sorry, or go someplace else would have been sufficient. So let me start by mentioning the waitresses do not wear masks, and I find this to be tasteless. Their food is also not that great. We went in expecting bar food. Our burger didn't have much taste which was odd since we have avocado ranch on it as well as cheese. The patties remind me of the cheap ones we get for burger burns on base. It's a place to go if everything else is closed or you want to stay in Navarre and eat on the beach. We do not visit places where they don't have them observing social distancing now so we won't be back until Covid is either a thing of the past, or I notice reviews have mentioned they're requiring masks for their servers. Soooooo, given the option of three restaurants here at Navarre Beach within walking distance, my wife and I tried this one on our second night here. I am not one to single out specific individuals in a restaurant so it must suffice to say that some additional training is required at ALL levels for satisfactory customer service to be achieved. I got the feel that this place was gladly catering to the local crowd who was already half ____faced and singing karaoke at 7:00 pm and that's great! The tourist is probably easily identified and obviously not cared for like all customers should be. Tacos were good and it offers a nice view of the pier and beach. Service was slow. Our friends had the burgers and were not impressed. We had a table of 5 adults and 1 baby and they added an 18% gratuity to the bill without mentioning it. Maybe if all you want is some place to grab a drink with a nice view, I would recommend. This place is a nice place to eat my waitress was very nice I got a coke and a surf dog I am a very picky eater i especially liked the red fish it was very tasty the surf dog is very large though but this restaurant is amazing anyways I would highly recommend to friends and family. read more

The food, overall, is only so so. The chairs are incredibly uncomfortable and the cleanliness was subpar. But our waitress was attentive and super sweet. I do NOT recommend the burgers. They're slimy/watery almost as if they're full of fillers. read more

Primer location!! We are visiting from Michigan, so a place with a view was a must. Windjammers is not fancy, plastic wear, disposable cups, limited bar however, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Our server Melissa was a pleasure!! The food is delicious and the beer is local and cold. The special was the Barracuda shrimp, their interpretation of bang bang shrimp, it was fantastic with light breading, fresh shrimp and a housemade sauce with just a slight kick. We had a delicious dinner- mahi-mahi and the sirloin burger for me and my DIL and chicken nuggets for my grandson. The seasoned fries were delicious! We were celebrating the halfway point of my son's deployment in Iraq and when our server Jason found out, he bought our dessert- caramel pretzel pie with lots of chocolate and whipped cream and was in our video to my son, thanking him for his service! The food was okay. I ordered the grilled fish tacos, and it seemed to take a long time. The manager and server said the kitchen was backed up, and that she was short staffed. Not exactly sure what is going on here but the service and food are all over the place. Waited almost 90 minutes to be seated even tho there were tables visibly empty. Finally sat down to order and the salad for my Wife took almost 25 minutes with warm ranch dressing. The rest of the food finally showed up 20 more minutes later. Fried redfish and chicken tenders were pretty meh and an explanation of the wait for food was never given. Looked as though everyone around us was all having the same problem. This wasn't what I would call dinner rush... It was almost 9pm on a Tuesday. If you are looking to spend $60 on a mediocre experience then this is your place otherwise look elsewhere. read more

Always a great place for drinks and sometimes live music. Food is good, and they've expanded their menu recently. Good draft selection, and I hear they are working on their liquor license. During the summer they used to have karaoke, but not anymore which is disappointing. But they do have live music Friday-Sunday. And the view of the ocean is great. read more

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the view. It's right on the sand, & while you don't have a gulf view, you can walk right down to the ocean after dinner, or walk the pier which is connected to the restaurant, & the longest pier in Florida. We paid $1 to walk the pier and it was worth it! Beautiful views! The food was good and the service was good. This is a great place for very casual food and drinks, many people were wearing swimsuits & flip flops etc.. the bar had an great beer & drink selection with frozen drinks. Girl taking reservations/check in had a REAL attitude problem. I thought it might be a "one-off" but literally everyone that worked there seemed to be doing everything they could to NOT sell food or drink; it was impressive in the worst way. 8 empty tables with a 20 min wait. Keep expectations low for food. We show up and they tell us a 30-45 minute wait on a Friday night at 6pm. Sit for an hour next to wait staff area listening to "86" being called out a few times. So the big joke with our family after we left this place was you guessed it "86". We get sat down at 7:30 and wait 15 minutes for a waitress, get served drinks, wait awhile again to place order and get refills....our food arrived all but two entrees and some sides. Several minutes later the other 2 entrees arrive and we ask why our fish sandwiches didn't have the sauces listed on the menu. Response from waitress was oh those are "86", can I get u another sauce. That would've affected our choices however when we started eating I don't think there is anything on the menu worth eating. This place either has a culture problem, they think they are the gateway to the Pier, having money problems, or all the above. Food was bad, service was bad (wait staff couldn't wait for night to end) , getting refills and correct drinks was next to impossible, staff yelling and joking about "86" was bad, running out of food and their favorite sauces was bad (my concern was do they only have a delivery once a week or is there another underlying issue, we aren't privileged to know that however observing and hearing wait staff jokingly say "86" was a known). This was memorial week. Good drinking place to listen to live music and observe the ocean. I recommend going to Broussards next door. In my opinion "86" this place or call Robert Irvine then visit, until then only access this place to walk the Pier. read more
