This place should be only for drinks, a bar and that's it. We had such a bad experience. We ordered the Calamari and I tell you what I've never seen such a sad dish in my life, there were about 9 burned rings of calamari, I was so amazed I wouldn't even offer that to my worst enemy. The server was really apologetic when I point out the looks of this dish, the food overall was terrible. How can they fool people like that? Jesus you are in a turístico area, I'm sure you get a lot of traffic but come on, treat people with a little respect and serve decent food or just dedicate your place on drinks only or who knows I've cream! Food was mediocre and took more than 2 hours to come to our table. I could see our server trying to scramble with other tables, no wonder it took so line I will NEVER go back nor will I recommend this place. You lost 3 locals and 3 visitors. read more

Location is neat. We ate a late lunch here after being on the beach because it was convenient and for a water view. Signed in with an estimated 30 minute wait. Should have left at the 45 minute mark. These folks are not good restaurant managers. Don't work the seatings. Tables sat vacant while people waited. Server was very friendly. Food was standard bar food - frozen food, fried. But way over priced. 2 chicken strips and a handful of fries in an aluminum foil lined plastic basket for $14. Pretty much everything was $14 in similar portions. Took it a while to be served given the basic menu. Granted that's probably the price all around but the food was just mediocre for the wait and price combined. read more

So, the place really looks nicer and cleaner. Server was on point as well as the food. I was expecting some beers from the ye olde brothers but no worries. Beer on tap is diverse enough. The menu could expand some more but it's opening day so improvement will come. We arrive around 1700 and the crowd was at minimum so not sure how it will be at full capacity. Had the hummus and blacken shrimp, no complaints Either way it is a great start. Mar 2019 Stopped by with some family around the early afternoon so wasn't too busy. Definitely busy due to its location- beach view is awesome. Service was not good at all & it wasn't busy when we went for lunch. Two of us had the Grouper and it was good, two had steak tacos and said they weren't good, said steak was chewy and didn't like the marinade. Potato salad was good. Drinks - water/soda/tea came in a small clear plastic throw away cup- not even the size of a solo cup. Hard to get refills- hot outside and ice melted so quickly and no refills is no fun when your paying those prices. Definitely could use friendlier and attentive waitress. Would we try again? Possibly- we go to this area a lot on vacation, not a lot to choose from but may just continue to drive a distance for better food and service. View & atmosphere is great though. This was a pretty nice place with a great view and a pretty cool vibe. The waitress was not that friendly but sometimes we have bad days. The margaritas taste made from a cheap mix and not that tasty. A bit too sweet. We visited during the quiet time between lunch and dinner- the place was not busy, many open tables. We were seated on an inner table, directly under a loud/high-speed fan blowing directly onto the table. Anything not weighed down blew off the table, and was hard to hear the person next to you. So we moved to a table one row over. After putting in our order- we were told that it was alright just this one time, but we should not change tables again. I can assure Windjammers, they do not have to worry about us changing tables at their place again. We've been coming to Navarre Beach for 40 years now. Own a home on the beach, and spending a lot more time at it after retiring. It's been over 10 years since we've tried this place. Too many good restaurants in this area that do not scold you for wanting a decent table. read more

Very disappointing. We did not order food so this is not a recommendation for or against the food. The location and ambience looked to be really nice. Our issue was with the service. We interacted with 4 different employees while there and I would say it was a culture of rudeness. If you are not planning on ordering food I would not recommend going here. If the place had been full with a wait line I might better understand. But we walked right in without any waiting and there were plenty of empty tables. We loved this place since we first moved to Navarre but noticed the place went downhill until the temporary shutdown in December 2021. We recently tried Windjammers again after the reopening and were pleasantly surprised. The new wait staff seemed completely revamped, we didn't see any of the old staff. They were very polite and most importantly prompt with service which was a huge improvement. The mahi tacos were as good as they were before, one of the main reasons I loved going there. My wife and daughters love the view there, you can often see dolphins in the water near the pier. The only thing I miss the tator tots, although they replaced them with waffle fries which were a decent substitute. We'll definitely be back, it's our favorite place on the island. Be aware the wait can be long during busy hours, get there before 5pm to be seated quickly. read more

Well, we ate here (even though it had 3 stars) because my husband wanted to and I was unimpressed. He really wanted seafood and even though, I try to stick to a vegetarian/vegan diet, I'll suffer through seafood when there are limited options. If you have any kind of gluten allergy, you can not eat here. If you're vegetarian, go somewhere else. If you're vegan, forget about it. I ordered the Decked Out Fries without the bacon, but ended up getting just cheese fries, they didn't include the gravy. I thought maybe the waitress didn't understand what I wanted, because there was confusion when ordering, so I didn't say anything. We shared the Cast Net Combo. The grilled fish would have been great, if it was dripping in oil. The hush puppies were foul, which was disappointing because I really like hush puppies. I saw a big bucket with the hush puppies in them. I'm not sure if they make them daily or weekly or what, but they're not fresh and they taste off. The oysters were deep fried and mushy, but I'm not a fan of oysters, so you might enjoy them. My husband said the blackened shrimp was good, but they also looked pretty greasy. I can't handle a lot of grease, so I only ate a few bites and my husband finished the plate. I did eat all the coleslaw and it was pretty good, but you don't get very much. Our waitress was very nice and pretty quick. She checked on us a few times. The bar was absolutely hopping. Apparently that is the place to be if you want to party. All in all, I would go to the bar, but I would not eat at the restaurant again. Especially not with the prices. read more

Casual and fun, it's the first place we go when we arrive in Navarre each year. My husband and I love the piña coladas and fish tacos. Our whole family especially loves live music nights and the playground on the beach. Service can be unpredictable but never all bad. Went here with my wife and son at about 1pm. Didn't look busy, empty tables everywhere (inside and outside). We were told we had to wait, because they weren't seating anyone at the time because the kitchen was backed up. So we waited about 7-10 minutes and were seated. I got the fried shrimp Po'boy, and my wife got the cheese curds and my son got the Cast net Combo. The cheese curds were alright, frozen food service curds, nothing special. My son enjoyed his combo, but a little light and underwhelming for $18. Now to my Po'boy, we live in the south and in the south your Po'boy game better be strong especially for $14! I don't normally take pics of my food, but I just had too. My po'boy had six shrimp on it. They weren't even touching, this is the SADDEST po'boy I've ever seen. Taste was ok, but bread is bread, and that's the majority of the sandwich. We were all very unimpressed. We got McDonalds on they way home (across 98), it hit the spot Windjammers missed. read more

Our experience here was a huge disappointment. Waited over an hour to be seated, which was fine. We walked the pier in the meantime. We had a group of 5, which they split up between two smaller tables. After we were seated, it seemed like they forgot about us because a staff cleaning tables asked if we had been helped and got us ice waters until he found us a waitress. Upon ordering, we find out that their grill is broken, so they can't make any grilled item on the menu. We have to all change our orders. Then we find out they don't have bread for a grilled cheese. After ordering, waitress disappeared and didn't reappear for so long that we decided to leave. Asked her to box up our food because we were still hungry after waiting an hour to be seated and another two hours to eat. Food was not good. Paid $122 for food I could've gotten at a fast food place. read more

We were in the Pensacola area for a wedding and sharing an AirBNB house (4 couples). First night we all went to Windjammers. 6 of us got there at happy hour and took a table / chairs in the bar. The guy that waited on us struggled a little but in his defense, we showed up at different time, with the last couple an hour late. Told him one tab and then switch to individual tabs for each couple. Then we ordered food. When the bill came, it wasn't right but we all worked through it. It was kareoke and our group all sing in the choir (except me :). So it was a fun night. The waiter is probably still exhausted dealing with us. We arrived and were told a 15 minute wait. It was 25 but that's understandable, they can't control how quickly tables clear. Or can they? We were seated and after 10 minutes of no service (not even taking a drink order), we noticed the family next to us seemed to be waiting to pay and getting impatient. After almost another 5 minutes (almost 15 minutes total of being ignored) we left. The lady at the table next to us was abandoned by her husband and kids, left to pay a bill that wasn't coming.
