The view/atmosphere is the only positive thing I have to say about this place. It took us forever to get our drinks, my hamburger tasted like salt and the bun was tough, and my wife ordered a dozen raw oysters and it wasn't until we waited over an hour on our food that we found out they didn't serve oysters and they brought out 6 peel and eat shrimp. We were here this time last year and everything was great, I absolutely would have given it 5 stars then. Our experience was completely different tonight, however. The waitress was awful. We are the people who always tip 20%, no matter what. Not tonight. Drinks were wrong, and brought late. That was the only thing she actually brought to us. All the food was brought by the cook. She was chomping gum and picking her booty shorts out of her butt all evening. She never checked on us after the food was dropped off by the cook. We had to walk up to her and order a pie. As a side note, the lighting in the restaurant in the evening is just string lights that change color so expect a VERY dark environment if you're eating after sunset. I also am 100% sure that our Pina Coladas were non-alcoholic. They tasted great, but when you pay the upcharge for the non-virgin drink, you should receive it. After the got up from the table, she went immediately went over checked the tip then speed walked to us and yelled "have a good night!" (in a "screw you" type of way). We were so disappointed in our experience tonight. We ate here three times in a week last year, now we will not be back. read more

We came in on a Sunday around 11:45a. We ordered appetizers and a few drinks. We got our food at 1:15p. Our server was nice, but we saw her maybe once every 20 mins. Portions were average to smallish and over-priced. Food was good, but not great, certainly not worth the wait. The most redeeming quality is we sat on the patio 100ft from the ocean. This is just a beachfront bar and grill. Not much variety or options on the menu, BUT what food is on the menu is excellent. I ordered blackened shrimp tacos which were easily the best I've eaten. Others in our party ordered grilled shrimp tacos and the special of the day hamburger. We all were impressed with the quality of the food. Lastly, Martin was our server and he was perfect. Because of him I marked Windjammers 5 stars rather than 4. Martin, thank you for being so pleasant. You made our dining experience perfect. read more

After reading the reviews, we almost passed this place up....sooo glad I didn't listen and decided to give it a try. We visited on a Thursday around 5:30ish. Was immediately seated. Our server was Ricardo...he was FANTASTIC!! He was full of positive energy, interaction with our whole party including my 7y/o son was phenomenal, great recommendations for food, gave us info on other local/ surrounding events...loved him!! Now to the food: starting off we had gator bites, calamari and cheese curds..everything came out fresh, hot, rather fast and delicious!! Our entrees consisted of the crab cake dinner, the cast away dinner (one fried and one grilled), surf dog, beach burger and chicken tenders. Food came out shortly after appetizers were finished which is perfect timing. Food again was fresh, hot and plated well. Portions were huge and again, everyone LOVED their dish!! The crab cakes were full of flavor and some of the best I've had!! I'm not a fry person, but the fries were perfectly cooked with crispness and flavor. Husband and my mother loved their castaway meal, son loved the surf dog and it was huge and full of toppings!! Nieces loved the burger and the tenders. We saved room to all split a piece of the key lime pie and Mississippi mud pie. Both were sooo dang yummy!! Full of flavor!! This is a small place to eat that is attached to the pier so I imagine on a busy weekend it would fill up and have a wait, but that is common anywhere. I've seen improvement since my last review. The food was decent. The drink was decent. The service was so friendly. I lost track of how many people came by to check on me. The bathroom... I took a chance because I couldn't hold it. I was pleasantly surprised. It was cleaner. Toilet paper holder was in working order. There wasn't soap in the stall sink, but there was at least pink soap in the other main sink. I hope the soap situation improves, but was so grateful the toilets weren't as scary as last time (12 months ago). read more

The front entry hostess and our waiter seemed to go out of their way to accommodate our every whim. The appetizer section of the menu seemed to have a broader selection of food than the entree section. Started with the decked out pier fries topped with cheese, chili, onions, sour cream and bacon. Very tasty and addictive Lol. The mahi-mahi flour tortilla tacos had cotija cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeño crema, and pineapple slaw. Delicious! The chicken strip basket had large mouthwatering portions with a choice of dipping sauces. Lish-d!!! All of this was washed down with one of their fruity frozen alcoholic concoctions! The servers were great and really sweet but we waited the better part of an hour and a half for two burgers - they told us the ticket had been lost and when I told them I wasn't paying for the burgers they told us we could either eat them and pay or not eat them because they couldn't allow for a refund. We waited about 35 minutes for a table - no big deal, we took a beautiful walk on the pier. However, it is a big deal to wait 45 minutes for bar food in a restaurant that is NOT crowded and a server that keeps telling you "I don't know what's taking so long, but your food will be next" who is then contradicted by a manager who tells you, "We are working on getting better, but this is a tourist town and you will wait this long no matter where you go but I will take 25% off your bill, but expect this kind of service and wait time everywhere." Essentially. "Sorry not sorry." I still give it 2 stars because I liked my Po Boy. My husband & children thought the food was "just ok," definitely not worth the wait. I am very disappointed with my visit to your establishment this evening ! Out of 6 dinners none of our food was good. Besides the fact that a torrential downpour started which was pouring directly into our food (due to where we were seated). When we got up to try and scoot our table out of the main impact of it the waitress told us we couldn't and they would move tables around in a minute. Well by that time all of our food was soaked and totally ruined. We were told it wasn't their problem, so $112 later we walked out still hungry and very dissatisfied! 5 stars When we had gotten there they said there were no seats available (probably because we were a party of 8) and there was a hour wait it was worth it! Waiting was a blast you could go out onto the peir and see turtles dolphins sea rays and more!Or you could see the gift shop witch has very good items inside. After the wait our waitress was super friendly and food came out in under 30 minutes I had the grouper fingers with the pasts salad. It tasted so good the grouper fingers were delicious and were very big. The pasta salad was decent it wasn't the best but it was pretty good. All in all I will most likely be eating there again next time I visit Navarre Beach. read more

Then we went to our table, which was very nice setting on the beach side, we were right in front when the Blue Angels flew by, highlight of being there! They were packed, took a long time to get waited on & a long time for our food order to come out. The side salad that came with the $16 cheese burger w/lettuce & tomato was about 4 bites worth & the burger was tasteless. Probably the worst burger had in a long time. The server seemed to be high or just out of it. Food was very sub-par for the price. The drinks weren't great either. There are a lot of other places that are better for your money. Especially in a party of 8 or more where they automatically charge an 18% tip that was not deserved. On top of everything there is some sort of 10% tax added in (may be the area). The carne asada tacos had large chunks of dry beef, the buffalo chicken sandwiches were overcooked like leather, the tater tots were so overcooked-dry and hollow, my grandson peeled the undercooked coating off his mini corn dogs, everything was disappointing. And they automatically add an 18% tip to your bill. We were a party of 10 and my husband was the only one to eat his whole meal. He had a burger and said it was just ok. We have family that live in Gulf Breeze that excited to take us there and just apologized to all of us for the disappointment. Maybe the got a new cook. I don't know. We loved the entire experience. After strolling on the pier we came back to Windjammers for drinks and appetizers. I got a Bushwacker and my friend got a Tequila Sunrise. Both drinks were superb!
