my wife and i purchased a home that was in need of all new windows before we moved in , we purchased this home in jan 2014 , i am posting this review now , because of the other people giving bad reviews. we were very impressed with our salesman showing all the window grades and options. i never felt pressured , and upon reviewing the quote to replace all 22 windows , i felt $12,500 was a honest quote .keep in mind, we upgraded to a tinted window and also wanted the new windows to match the design of the old windows from 1936 . we sealed the deal. they did the final measurement and the new windows were custom made and installed in one day as promised . i feel some of the bad reviews are unfair to window nation.the entire experience was a pleasant one. it has now been five years and our windows are perfect . we love them. read more

We were told our price included promotion of BOGO free. I asked numerous times to see an itemized bill but was never given oe. The windows are okay (not the quality we got from Window Wizards), and installaiion was good. But we woukd never recommend WN becaue we feel we did not get the pricing that was advertise. read more

Well, I did not purchase the windows but today the salesman showed up and was on time. He was very friendly but holy cow 2 hours to go over his presentation with material samples, UV light bulb demo, etc (I do recommend sitting through their presentation, you'll be an expert after).... It was very informative but we wanted to get to price. The salesman would not get to price until the end......Then at the end, for 19 foam filled windows and a sliding glass door the quote was $30k, then came the military discount, cash discount, still no way....I kept calm, wanted to feel him out and said, no way that is more than I paid for my kitchen + 3 bath remodels together. Then the price came down to 18K. And I was being nice but trying to get him out the door. Then after he leaves, of course the phone rings 10 mins later, and their is a commercial big order they can combine me with for $13K but I have to act now. I felt rushed, and told him send me an email with it all laid out. He sent me an online brochure, no estimate, nothing with all the windows he measured. Regardless of what they carry or have to offer, we're walking... the salesman started at $30k and ended at $13k, I am gonna walk away and follow up with our trusted kitchen/bath remodeler and will also contact the guy who replaced our roof for input. read more

I have to strongly agree with the other people that are saying this is one of the worst companies out there. So after waiting 8 weeks, after they told us they had missed counting 25% of the windows after a substantial price increase and after signing the change order. 1 week before the "GUARANTEED" install date we made them give us they informed us that they had made a mistake and there was going to be another $5k increase in the contracted price. In their words it was their fault so they'd cover $1k of the increase but were expecting us to agree to the $4k increase that was their mistake. This was now 9 weeks after signing the contract with them. After being informed of the increase the were proposing they would not call us back, the regional manager Warren, never called us back even after repeated messages left at the main office and with another manager there. Spoke with Jonathan Moore on a Thursday and he told me someone should be back in touch with me by Monday. Of course that didn't happen. We consulted an attorney given all of their shenanigans. Currently trying to decide whether we just cut our losses or take them to small claims court as their repeated failures have now cost us a significant amount of time and money. Here we go again, as soon as I post something about window nation I receive a phone. Is there a problem you are having with your windows. This I have told many times that the cold is coming in. I sent Cindy a picture of the window and she stated that the balance cover is missing. She will get in touch with Alex who measured the windows. I said he was out before and just caulked the outside of the Windows. So Alex called and said he just got an email of the window what's the problem. I said didn't Cindy tell you what the problem was. Is there that much lack of communication going with your company. He said why is there plastic in the Windows? I said I told you last time I have air coming in the Windows. He was to call Cindy, I called Cindy she was to call him and to call me back. But she also wanted the post taken down from Yelp. Also just to let anyone out there know these window suck. I have gas bills to show you that each month since I got these windows, the usage is more each month then I used all of last year. The heat is just going right out these windows. The windows are made so cheap. Why do you see these specials? Anyone want to see the inside of these bad Windows and gas bills are welcome to see. Don't waste your money on these scammers. read more

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE....you will never get them out. Said estimate would be 60-90 minutes. After 2 hours, I had to rush him a long and get him out of my house. Tried to over sell his product....$15,000 for 12 windows and a sliding glass door for my townhouse. Tried to pressure me to buy windows on the spot, multiple times trying to close a deal, came down to $10,000 by the time I kicked him out. Dave Harrison from Window Nations was extremely pushy, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Great product, but over priced, and lots of pressure to buy on the spot. I would never recommend this company. It was a horrible experience and I went with someone else who offered a better price for similar windows from the same distributor. There sales approach is a huge turn off, and they really try to rip you off. read more

I had an appointment yesterday with Window NATION @ 1pm. A few minutes before the appointed time, one of their representatives called to say the agent coming was running 15 minutes late and would begin at 1:30pm, mind you, my appointment was at 1 o'clock. I told her that since the company had asked me for 60 minutes and I had another appointment at 2 o'clock, that would only leave the agent 30 minutes for his presentation. The person on the phone said they would honor my time... The person arrived earlier than the person on the phone stated, but I didn't come to the door because I had been told another time and I don't open my door to strangers. The person called back again to say the agent was at the door. I reminded her that she had said 1:30pm. After opening the door, I told the agent that I had another appointment at 2pm. He came in and began the presentation. Agent went to the car to get one window, he came back empty handed and said he wouldn't want to show me just one window, especially when he wasn't sure if it was the window I wanted... I reminded him that I had another appointment and the hour had been a waste of time! He tried to schedule another appointment, but I wasn't interested, as my time had been non-productive. The next morning someone from the company called to try to apologize. I thanked him and restated I wasn't interested in doing business with the company. Five minutes later someone else called again and I repeated that I wasn't interested. I told her not to call again! This was a very poor experience and I can only imagine how poor the company is. I was SHOCKED this morning to see so many excellent reviews. Too bad my experience was so VERY POOR! I'd like to change my rating to 0.5! My experience was VERY TERRIBLE... read more

Sale rep showed up on time, made measurements and then came up with prices on a blue form. She tried to hide numbers and reveal a series of prices one at a time to show price discounts. While the price for the windows was too high, the quote for two French doors was astronomically high. When she realized that I was not impressed, she went out to her car and came back with a lower price from her manager for the windows only. She left without leaving any estimate at all saying one would be sent later. I received an email several days later with a total price for the job, no price breakdown, just a very high single price with a monthly payment option. Since I had a base window replacement job with a possible add-on job for doors this makes no sense. Obviously they had included the door replacement along with the windows to come up with such a high number. I sent a follow-up email asking for a complete price quote with no response. Prices were very high for vinyl windows, higher than one I received from a premium brand window company. The price for the two doors made by "Amish" in Ohio was completely absurd. read more

I heard of this company on a radio station. They advertised "Buy two Get two free", so I called. I went through the prompts and selected "in home estimate". Someone answered and asked for my information and then was transferred to someone that told me he was a "window wholesaler", I told him I was on hold to speak to someone to get a in home estimate. He said he was the person I needed to talk to. At this point I did not mention the advertisement. He asked how many windows and what the sizes were. I told him 19 but the sizes I did not know, I thought that would be his job. Without even discussing the particulars of the kind of windows he gave me a price of $500 per window installed.... I thought that was kinda high.. I understood if it was one window, but thought if you had 19 to do there should be some kind of curve in the price, he said he might be able to "sharpen his pencil" Get this! I mentioned the "Buy two get two" he said that the regular price for a double hung window was $1,189.00 and he included the discount. Ask yourself a question.... Who would pay $1,189.00 for a double hung window, especially a "wholesaler". I called back the next day to complain to the manager..... They put the same person on the line and he told me he was the manager. Buyer Beware! read more

I called and set up an appt time and the woman let me know they would be calling to confirm the appt. She wasnt kidding, I confirmed my appt 4 times in one day! The day of the appt., which i took off of work for, the literally called me at 8:58 to tell me the salesman would not be coming to the 9:00 am appt. Nice job Window Nation. read more

The initial estimate was great, the salesman knew what he was doing and answered most of our questions before we could even ask. We decided to go ahead and put down a deposit to get all but a select few of the Windows done and filled out the paperwork for financing. I was unable to get approved for enough to do what I wanted done. I asked them to cancel my contract and refund me my $1500 and that I would save up most of what I needed and have them come back out then. As soon as I asked for my money back all communication with me stopped. I called and left messages twice and sent 2 emails to the entire team I had been working with and still no reply. Seeing how they treat people that can not do the services immediately but plan to come back exclusively to them after saving some money back makes me never want to call them back for any services in the future. read more

We had a consultation tonight and the guy was insulting from the second he sat down. He asked us our price range before even telling us what product he has. I guess our older house isn't what he's use to since he kept telling us what "nice houses" they usually install at. We asked if it was possible to just buy the windows since my husband does remodeling for a living. He said yes but then went on to tell us it would still be at least $600 a window which is probably out of our price range. We started out with a price that dropped about 2k when he suddenly remembered they have cheaper windows. Except never even so much as showed us a picture of the windows he was talking about. I asked again about buying just the windows and he made a comment about having a "professional install them" to which I replied my husband is a professional licensed contractor. His response was "well how long would it take you?" I told him just as long as it would for their installers to do. We told him we would talk it over and let him know and he immediately stood up and started to walk out and I said "sorry you wasted a trip" and with a snotty "yeah" he was gone. The phone rang less than 10 minutes later and magically the price was almost half of what he originally said. After he was so insulting to my husband I wouldn't deal with that man again if they were giving away the windows! I guess we will stick with the "builder quality " windows he kept mentioning when I said my husband could install them himself. read more

The entire experience with Window Nation was incredible. When I met with the salesman, Thomas Bonds, he listened and did not try any high pressure sales tactics. He was pleasant, informative, and professional in all respects. I was told that it would be 4 - 6 weeks before installation but it turned out being just over 3 weeks. I received e-mails that told me exactly what I needed to do to be ready for the crew. A phone call the day before the installation was also appreciated, professional, and courteous. The installation crew told me that they would arrive at 10AM and they did as advertised. The crew respected my house, took off shoes, and put drop cloths in the areas they would be working. They vacuumed areas and left it clean. The crew, led by Juan, did not mess around. They got down to business and had all 9 windows replaced in a matter of hours. I highly recommend Window Nation. My experience was first class from start to finish. read more

I had an appointment with Window Nation yesterday. It was a horrible experience and the salesperson left me feeling threatened and concerned for my safety. The sales tactic was bullying and intimidation. At the beginning of the appointment, I informed the salesperson (SP) I was taking bids on window replacement. I was asked by the local office to set aside 1 hour for the presentation. After an hour and a half the SP finally got to pricing. The SP used inappropriate (in my opinion) tactics. I was given several different prices. Window Nation would honor the price within a year, honor the price within a month, or their best offer price, sign right now price. I informed the SP I had been offered a much better price from another company. The SP began to grill me on what company gave me the better price. I informed the SP I wasn't interested in discussing this and I would think about his proposal and let him know. I thanked him for his time and the SP protested. He repeatedly protested and told me he had the right to know who the other company was. I thanked him for his time and told him REPEATEDLY I will think over my options. He continued to bully me about the other company. He would not get up from my chair. He was not leaving. I began to feel scared and uncomfortable. After each time he forcefully spoke to me, I responded, "I am not going to make a decision today. I have another company coming for an estimate and I will let the Window Nation know if I decide to use his company." He would not move. I am becoming more and more concerned. I did not want to adjitate the SP further because of his bullying tactic. He finally picked up 1 window to leave. He could have carried more of his equipment but chose not to. After coming back in the house to "retrieve" his equipment, he said he had to make a phone call. He took his phone and ran out of the house. He did not pick up any of his supplies to vacate my house. I am so very uncomfortable. I removed myself to my living room to give the opportunity to retrieve the remainder of his equipment. He came back in my house without knocking and sat at the kitchen table. I wait 5 + minutes for him to remove himself from my house. He does not leave. I am freaking out. Finally, I go in to the kitchen and he tells me he has a better price with an advertisement sign. He begins hacking on a calculator. I move to the family room sliding glass door with my phone in my hand. I am scared and uncomfortable. It didn't occur to me to leave my home, my safehaven. All I could think about was getting him out of my sanctuary. I declined his final offer and thankfully he left my home. I felt unsafe and insecure with this man in my home. Customer service calls were amazing, Mr. Alan who was came out and did a wonderful presentation, but then the installers came to my home looking like they did not work with a company at all like it was a regular saturday hanging in the yard work type of day, regular clothes but the attitude from one made me so uncomfortable that I had to keep an eye on him, the window installation time was 8-11 well of course they showed at 10:30am which means that they did not leave my home until close to 10:00pm and they rushed you can tell one of the windows is sitting at an angle, the rain was pouring at 9:30pm so there was not point checklist, no walk through and I had to literally run outside in the pouring rain to ask how to operate the windows (just a simple open and close) so I had a follow up phone call and expressed how I felt, of course in this case the customer is wrong (yes they said the window wasn't like that when they left and they are not responsible for cleaning up any caulk that was missing from a few windows) so I as the customer is wrong, I asked numerous time for a walk through since I never had one and since the weather was an issue on that night. I was told that someone would be in touch......that was over 2 weeks ago. I'm not arguing with anyone on how they do their business but if there is a problem then we must find a solution or else I will leave reviews with photos to show that there is a problem unsolved. Thank you for my beautiful windows but I knew in my gut that this was too good to be true. I purchased 10 windows which were not cheap but since 1 or 2 are not right I'm completely being ignored and told that I the customer is wrong. I will not refer and will be removing the sign from my yard today. read more

Jim S'. review under this company was EXACTLY my experience. The salesman tried to charge me1k for each window (13K total)until I showed him an estimate from another window company who would only charge $400 per window installed. The salesman then said he would call his boss to see what he could do. I felt like we were at the new car dealer with the salesman going to "talk to the manager" to try and lower our price. Ridiculous. The salesman got off the phone and said we could have the windows for $8,500.00 if we purchased them right then. Just like Jim said above...it is one of the oldest scams in the book of high pressure sales. That price was still more than the estimate I received from the other reputable window company, Window Man. And Window Man's windows were better quality for the price. I was stupid enough to fall for Window Nation's high pressure sale at the moment and put a down payment on the job, but smartened up and within two days got my money back (I was allowed 3 days to cancel the job). Go to Window Man if you want a one time fair price for a good quality window. No high pressure sales job, no outrageous prices. read more

I did essentially a whole-house window install. My experience was not without hiccups, but I would certainly recommend Window Nation. My salesperson was no-nonsense, did not put on the hard sell (which I very much appreciate), yet was very knowledgeable about the product and service. I actually liked her a lot. I feel I got a fair price, and my windows all seem to work perfectly (although time will tell - I have only had them for about a month or so). The one thing that really did sell me was the double lifetime warranty, which covers the time we live in the house, plus the lifetime the next owners live in the house (great for re-selling). Installation was done in a very timely manner, and was completed in one day. As good as the experience was, I feel I should describe the hiccups also. The first came after I signed the contract for an agreed-upon price with my salesperson. That evening I got an email from a different salesperson in the same office, suggesting that if I "act now" I would get a price that was $1,000 less than what I had signed for. Then there was an email trying to redact it. I called my original salesperson and explained that it seemed sketchy and why was I not offered that price in the first place. She explained that it was a mistake on their part, and that the other salesperson didn't have all the info about how many windows I was buying, etc. Nonetheless, she honored the price - no hesitation. I was happy with that. Hiccup #2: a couple of weeks before the install they came and tested for lead. They found it in the windows' paint (no surprise). But on the day the installers were there, I noticed the workmen had ripped out all the windows upstairs with no remediation treatments at all. I inquired and got a blank look. Turns out the installer didn't know about the lead. I called in a panic, and Window Nation immediately sent over a clean up team and a lead tester. They cleaned up, tested and all was OK. Then they sent a second tester that evening just to be sure. All was OK. Then just to be extra safe, the next day they sent both a housecleaning crew and an HVAC duct cleaning service to rid my house of any other possible residue. So while it all didn't go without a hitch they get top marks in my book for customer service. read more

So far, not too impressed. The folks at Window Nation (WN) were more than anxious to get us to sign on the dotted line the same day they came for a presentation, which we did and we agreed to purchase 9 windows to be replaced in our house replaced. The very next day we got a call asking us what day would be good for installation and we picked a date. We were assured by WN that we would receive a call the day before to confirm the installation crew would be here on the agreed date. The day before the install we did not receive a phone call and waited all day. So I called their customer service after 6:00. Closed. Then I chatted with some woman on their website and all she could tell me was that we were on the schedule for the next day, but that was it. Could not really confirm they were coming, but promised to have a customer service representative call me the next day. That was not really helpful, as the whole reason I called was to confirm the date and prepare. So, my wife and I assumed they were coming and removed all the blinds and the all the curtains from the 9 windows being replaced. We then moved a great deal of furniture because we were told the crews would need a certain open area around each window in which they could work. Took us several hours to do that. Plus the date that we agreed to have the work done was a Thursday (a normal work day for my wife and I) and I took a vacation day so I could be at home for the installation. Then about 7:30 am the day they were to arrive, we got a call from WN stating it was raining and that they would be unable to install the windows because they would not seal properly in wet conditions. No one ever said anything to us about not being able to install during the rain before we signed the papers. Plus, cannot WN see the weather forecast at least the day before and make a quick convenience call to let us know the install date would be in jeopardy? Apparently not. We now have another install date on a Saturday in a few weeks. I only hope its not raining on that day. Bottom line is that based upon my experience, I would grade WN an "F" in terms of communication after the sale. read more

I called Window Nation to request someone to come out to show me options and take measurements for replacing several windows that I would not be financing. But to my dismay, I was asked if my husband would be home. Although I'm married, the deed is in my name and I'm the homeowner. First very disappointing conversation and then I'm told that the manager would have to call me. For what? Could the person on the phone not schedule me an appointment? No, I was told by a supposed to be manager named "Chris" that they could use Google Earth to see my home and do the measurements that way. I have never heard of such! I want to personally see and touch the windows. I must look like boo boo the fool! I told "Chris" that I have never heard of this sales practice, and he told me Window Nation used it to save time. (Mean face). Moreover, you calling me by my first name and you don't know me is a lack of respect. It is unprofessional. Also, if they advertise in the newspaper weekly, they got a large advertising and sales budget that is lumped into the consumer's cost of the windows. It's sad when a company thinks they are so big that they can afford to miss a sale due to stereotyping. Well, look at all those big companies that are no longer around and learn how to treat all customers fairly! Also,my quote was lumped and not broken down, as requested since I was paying outright and not financing. I will be sure to report them to the BBB and Consumer outlets. No thank you, Window Nation. Giving them one star is one too many.....It was about a month from when we signed with Windows Nation until our FIRST scheduled install date. Corporate called the afternoon (around 4:00) before to confirm. The morning of, 30 minutes before the scheduled time they were supposed to be here, the install guy called and cancelled because of the weather forecast. Pretty sure there are ways to find out the forecast prior to the morning of, especially after myself and my husband switched our work schedules around to accommodate the install date. They rescheduled for a that coming Sunday morning. Sunday morning comes and they show up earlier than expected. They got to work right away, but didn't say anything to my husband or myself, appeared annoyed and miserable to be there. Didn't introduce themselves or give us any paperwork or business cards to identify them. Toward the end of the install, one of the guys showed us that one of the glasses of the sliding glass door was marked up. New doors and they are already messed up. They cleaned up and packed their truck and left. Didn't walk through all the final products once installed and show us how to pull them down and out for cleaning. Half of them, the top window, wasn't closed all the way. My husband and I were checking everything out and found a defect in the sliding glass door. The luck on the door didn't budge. It finally clicked and is still stuck. CAN'T OPEN THE SLIDING DOOR. We discovered this 10 minutes after we realized they left (never said bye or thank you or anything). The window in the kitchen is also messed up. The top window keeps sliding down, the locks are tough and when they do move, they don't actually locked anything. Called the cell phone of one of the installers immediately...NO ANSWER. Left 2 messages and NO RESPONSE. Called the personal number of our sales guy, who gave his number to us at the time of sale, and NO RESPONSE AGAIN. Left several messages. Called Window Nation, which they advertise in their brochure 24 hour emergency customer support, and THEY ARE CLOSED. I waited some time before providing this review in hopes someone would have the professional courtesy to call back. If they can't support Sunday installs, DON'T DO THEM. AND DON'T ADVERTISE 24 HR EMERGENCY CUSTOMER SUPPORT. The sliding glass door is still stuck. I currently do not have access to my backyard because of this. This is absolutely unaccepted and should NEVER happen. The installers should have checked all of this before they picked up and left. Even for the price, I would NEVER deal with this company again and I recommend people to look elsewhere. Unreliable and unprofessional. If you have a choice look for another company. I heard their ads on the radio and reviewed them online before calling. That is 15 minutes of my life I will never get back. I am looking to replace one window in a condo my daughter lives in. I was told they don't replace just one window for rental property. Then I was told they do not come out to do an onsite estimate that everything is done over the phone. When I asked how that works I was told they use Google maps. The condo is surrounded by trees so if there is technology out there that can see under or through trees I did not see how that was going to work. Then once I started questioning the answers the phone started going dead for a few seconds at a time. I mentioned it and she told me they were having problems with their phones. I needed to replace one window but I had up to 12 windows that might have been replaced with the right company. Speaking for myself this was disappointing and it was not what I had expected. read more

I am completely appalled at how we were treated. We spent over 2 hours getting estimates for different areas of our house. After the sales guy David "made a call to see what deals he could get us" we decided to have them do our gutters because it was a great deal (pending some stipulations of course). We put our deposit down, had the gutters measured and were told the installer would come out to measure again. A week or so later, the installer came out to measure, just to make sure the original was correct. We all had the same measurement and then were told to wait for a call from someone to schedule the install. After 3 weeks, we still heard nothing. We happened to be checking our bank account to see that Window Nation had re-deposited our money back into our account. Trying to get in touch with the sales guy has proven to be a joke. I left numerous messages with no call back, except for what I assume was a mistake with a butt dial. When I finally did get in touch with David (because no one could tell me anything) he stated that the measurements were wrong and the regional manger decided not to do the job unless we wanted to pay an extra $1000 for the mis-measurement. I am not sure what was measured wrong but we had 3 other estimates on our gutters and everyone got the same length. So do not listen to the hype about how great they are and the cheapest and best customer service because its not true. We are still waiting for David to call us back to let us know what they got for measurements. This has been a huge waste of my time and energy and have already told my neighbors and friends never to have any type of service from them ever!!! My husband and I both work in sales and would never, ever treat a customer this way. David needs to be held accountable for his own mistakes and crappy customer service. I would give them zero stars but this site wont let me do that. read more
