We had Window Nation install 12 windows in our home on 3/23/19. The crew did a decent job although we had to literally point out areas during the clean up as only one individual could speak english. We are still finding miscellaneous debris that was missed. Prior to leaving our home two of the crew members were cleaning a downstairs window with a jug of liquid and rags. Shortly after leaving we noticed a large area on the window where it appeared that the tint had been removed. We contacted our sales representative and were assured that the issue would be resolved immediately. We received a call from Vytex Windows a few days later and were told that the earliest date they could come out to look at the window was on 4/16/19. We were not happy about the delay but, agreed to the date so this would not take longer than necessary to be resolved. On 4/16/19 a technician came to our home. He stated and wrote on his work order that the window was defective and the sash would have to be replaced. Also,we would be contacted shortly to schedule a follow up appointment. After 5 days we had not been contacted. We again contacted our sales representative and were told that he assumed someone had already contacted us. We also sent emails to Harley ( Window Nations Owner) and Vytex Windows with no response. We were finally contacted by Vytex Windows on 4/28/19 via phone message and email after their normal business hours. We responded to the email the following morning, 4/29/19 and were told that their earliest appointment was 5/21/19, almost 2 months after the installation date. Again we will have to accommodate them by taking off time from work to fit their schedule. Of course the interest free deal began after the install date although the job has not been completed and definitely not to our satisfaction! We are still unable to install window shades or coverings as they would just have to be removed when Vytex Windows does come out. We are very disappointed with the customer service we have received from all parties involved. We are also very concerned going forward regarding any warranty issues we may have and the service that would be provided. We would not recommend this company to friends, family or anyone else for that matter. In hind site we would have been better off purchasing the windows ourselves and hiring our own installers or another company. Customer service and satisfaction does not seem to be on their agenda. I am beyond fed up with this company. If there were no stars I would pick that. When the sales lady came out everything seemed good we had to get financing and we were able to get that. After that we were told someone would come to measure. When they got here the guy didn't even know that we were getting the whole house. Then a couple weeks went by and I called them she said that we had to resign the contract because they didn't have the whole job on it. We did this. We were told they would call every week just to check in and let us know what is going on. This never happened! Mind you they said we would have our windows in in 8 weeks that was on Ausgust 20, 2020. So now fast forward to Oct.1st they told us that they would have to change the invoice again because they forgot to put a window on it. This then led to the finance company hard hitting our credit for a second time without our permission or knowledge fast forward a whole month later to November 13th our credit was ran a 3rd time hard hit. They said the the second time was due to them having to change the contract the third time was due to it being 3 months since we had contracted with WN. After this we kept calling and they gave us a huge run around. That the company that made the windows which i was told WN made their own windows, that because of covid they were behind. I was upset because nobody reached out to let us know this. I continuously called sometimes met with frustrated people. Then we were called and told that they had another company take over because they were so far behind. So in Oct. they had a manager reach out to me who got upset with me and told me that it MIGHT be another month.. How dare they get upset with us!!!!!! So at the end of December we were told after I called again that the windows would be in by mid January. So we have a date finally to have them installed. I took off work which is not easy to do. I get a phone call after the time of 8:30 am from the accounts woman saying they would not be able to make it due to rain. We knew for days there was a chance of rain yet they never let me know this could be an issue. Terri told me that the crew did not want to come out in the rain. I called back to Heather and told her they never showed up and there was no rain yet and that i was sick of this company. She seemed shocked and told me she would call me back. So she calls me back and says they will be out in a little bit. They got there around 12 the rain started about 1pm. The crew was nice enough however there is a lot of issues with the windows The front window has a board in it because we cannot lock it due to holes put in wrong place and then the locks put in another wrong place (manufacturer) the screen on the back is too big we have cracked frames on 2 windows the framing is lifting up on several windows and they did not have all my windows they were missing one. So due to rain they finished up and told us they would be back to finish on Sunday they did show up. Heather came out and looked around asked us to take pictures that her guys had already took and send them to her. She had also told us that she would have gift cards and that money would be taken off for all the problems we have faced. She had nothing for us but more excuses. We also were told that it was because of the way the old managers were running things and that they were trying to get things in order. Fast forward to March I called to set a date to have my windows installed and she said that they would have to find a time to FIT US IN BECAUSE THEY WERE REALLY BUSY. We are first time home buyers and this has been a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.. It is now March 7, 2021 and we are still dealing with this. read more

Yeah, I've asked them 20 times not to come to my house and to stop calling. I just had one of their reps knock on my door for 15 mins. When I made it the door I said, I said I'm not interested. He kept on, we are just here to....like they always do. I mean they stop by 3 times a week at this point. I asked him, please stop, and he talked over me, so I closed the door on him, and I heard him scream "fuck you asshole," on the other side of the door. Nice. Met with three window companies and chose Window Nation because the salesman didn't push me to decide that day. Had to sort out a few pricing errors he made, but after that everything went smoothly. They scheduled a guy to come out and measure within a week of placing my order and scheduled install about 6 weeks later. Installation crew was outstanding and did a remarkable job. Love our choice in Windows. Easy to open, clean and looks wonderful inside and out. read more

I've had a horrible experience working with Window Nation. Very deceptive. Poor communication and organization. Professionalism severely lacking. I've had so many issues, it's almost laughable at this point. Months after my installation, I'm still waiting for them to repair damage that was done to my home during installation with one of their "best install teams." I purchased 10 windows from Window Nation. For two of the windows they installed 27 inch windows where we had 33 inch windows. It looks ugly as they put plastic where the windows should have filled the opening. It was this past summer. They have since had two people measure the windows and it is now after Christmas and still no word from window nation. The sales person keeps lying to me that they will be in contact as I have heard nothing. They promised custom maid windows that is not the case. They promised satisfaction and I have ugly windows with a filler to make up for their mistake. They also promise to correct their mistake but they have not responded to me at all. I intended to use window nation for the other 16 windows in my house. This is certainly not the case now. I just want my money back for the wrong windows and not talk to these people again. my advice short and simple- do a lot of research on windows that are available in all window places and be willing to pay the price for a good set of them whereever ou find themy. avoid this place. period. terrible windows, 50 pt inspection at factory still got me wrong grids, over 7 weeks to get them in and we will just say never, never, never again. read more

We had a great experience with WN. Our sales rep, Jacob Shipley, was extremely knowledgeable and honest, and gave us a detailed evaluation of the windows in our house. He recommended the Potomac window from Vytex, explaining how well run that company is. Our main concern was regular noise from adjacent commercial properties, and he discussed it in depth with us. He found the noise rating information for that window that we needed (which was very good), and we both did research on what type of glass blocks the most noise. We both agreed that double paned LAMINATED glass is the key, and that proper installation is critical (I talked to an acoustic engineer, for instance). We were very apprehensive about spending all this money and not getting any relief. Luckily, it did help reduce the noise substantially--many things I can't hear anymore (ie regular tricks driving by), and those that I can hear are not loud enough to distract me from what I'm doing / no longer drive me nuts like they had been. The installers were amazingly professional, it was impressive to see them cut each and every window to the exact right size (on a 100 year old house, no less), and they look BEAUTIFUL. Contaminated my house and yard with lead paint debris and has done nothing to remedy the situation. Windows installed poorly twice. On first install the crew left my windows (9 of 13) open to the elements without any capping as well as poorly insulated. Tried to leave without saying anything and changed the exterior appearance of my home without consult. Was promised all damaged wood would be replaced by the salesman Nowell. He was a real shark, got the signature and was mia. None of the damaged lead paint coated frames were replaced. They broke every last one. I have pieces of lead painted wood saved in bags for the MDE. second installer made some progress and poorly capped all my crooked and out of square windows by 10pm then took his leaf blower and blew all the lead dust/caulking mess into my dogs' yard and my vegetable garden. No protocol for lead was followed by either crew, I am awaiting response from their legal team. The job is still incomplete as my yard is still a mess of sharp pieces and I a must being told by the general manager of the Maryland location Misty that my job will be considered complete and I will be billed in full while it's still not complete. This company will do whatever to make themself right even if they put your life at risk they don't care. Spend your money elsewhere, or be prepared for agony. read more

We had our windows installed recently. The installation service was great. However, these windows have sound proofing problem. If your windows face busy streets or highways or just have any traffic around, I would not recommend these windows. You only will feel the pain after they have installed and then you have nothing else to go for. Their customer service to support this issue is incapable to handle it. I think the problem is the Window glass panels they use. BTW, we chose one of their high quality window. read more

Signed contract on May 6th . They told me that it would take 4-6 weeks for install of 3 windows and a sliding glass door . Installation finally happened on July 7th . The team that did the install did a terrible job . The screen door has a lock with no latch on the frame for it to lock or even shut properly . We have to keep jiggling the screen to try to get it to open or close . There is a large screw that is sticking out at the top of the door frame that should of went into the frame . They completely missed the frame making the whole thing loose . You can actually wiggle the frame . I now have bugs crawling into my living area . This never occurred before replacing the door .The caulking around the windows was also very sloppy with a lot of gaps . It does not appear to me that it will hold up to the weather very long and this is from an untrained eye . Among other things that were wrong with the installation ,I started calling the company the very same day of the installation on July 7th . So it took many phone calls and e-mails to finally have someone call me back on July 31st to schedule a tech to come out to look at all the repairs that needed done . He came out on August 3rd . He said that the whole door had to be taken out to repair and it would take another whole day to do the repairs.It is now Aug 14th and after many phone calls I finally heard back from the company to schedule the repairs . That is not until Sept 10th . I would not recommend Window Nation to anyone due to the poor customer service and the installation problems . read more

After many yrs, our 1970s split level needed its drafty, antiquated windows replaced. We did our research, and Window Nation was quick to jump on the opportunity. The sales person came to the house "after hrs" as it was convenient for our schedule. While knowledgeable, she was a bit pushy and talked down the competition. Even with "all their discounts," we paid about what we expected, as windows are not cheap. 0% financing for 18 months helps! They measured twice, with two different people, and had them delivered within a few weeks. The techs did a good job installing and insulating them, although, they did damage a light in the garden and one of our blinds during the process. But, it's really too be expected, I suppose.......Bottom line, the house is nice and warm, no drafts, and we expect reduced heating and cooling bills for quite some time! I'm a fan! read more

I talked to several different companies for a quote on a roof on a single family home. These guys were the 2nd most expensive. Sales people are forceful. If I 'sign today' they'll give me the lowest price they can, which is almost half off. I decided to ask about replacing a door to an unused workshop I have, I just wanted the simplest thing and they quoted me almost 4k. I can go to Home Depot to get a door for 200 bucks, why would I pay 4k instead? I ended up going with a local company for much cheaper and the same 50 year warranty. read more

I signed a contract in July, promised install 1st wk of Sept, and was delayed at last minute 3x and didn't get an install till the END of November, into the heating season, which was the goal of signing on in July. Further, the communication was hours long to get problems rectified, I was promised "3 main mgrs" would contact me, that never did, from internal depts. that agreed they should, due to the holdups and problems. I had to insist on some compensation when they installed, in end, months after they were supposed to, on some sort of discount, which was hard to get, and at the end of Nov, they installed the WRONG color trim, which I left on, took the discount, just to be done the job I'd signed on for in JULY and rid of the long problems from July to almost December. I can't recommend them - communications with them is bad, the job was done with a wrong color window trim (their admitted fault), and good luck getting hold of anyone to help you if a problem arises - plan on lots of NON-returned calls. read more

I heard the ads online and that it was a locally owned company, so I called and scheduled an estimate meeting for them to come out to my house and give me the quote. I did so on a Tuesday come Thursday I received multiple text messages over and over saying it was urgent and then also multiple calls from Maryland number as I work sun up to sun down I'm not able to answer. Also when you speak to them they want to know if your wife is going to be there as I am the husband and I said that I am the homeowner and they said no what about your wife will she be there and I'm not trying to be negative but I'm the one placing the call so you should be dealing with me I don't ask them if their sales manager is coming to the appointment When I finally called the number back I found out it was window nation who said their headquarters was now in Maryland. I informed the lady that I was tired of the calls and Texts I will be at my schedule time appointment and please make sure your representative is also. She then said something smart as she transferred me to hold which for some reason I have no clue why I want to be put on hold as I didn't need to talk to anybody else. The salesman was on time Saturday and did a great job of explaining the windows the prices and everything else. My confusion comes if I finance seven years no interest I paid full retail. But if I finance 10 years with interest they give it to me cheaper and I pay less overall which personally makes no damn sense. Why not just give me the best price straight up not acting like you're giving me a deal when in reality if I didn't need a deal it seems like your prices will take advantage of somebody who's not paying attention. I do understand it's a commission based job and again my salesman was very nice but because I pay attention I see that it seems like they're trying to scam me. And they offer 40% off if they were loud me to keep a sign in my front yard which I don't have a problem but then I also have to go online and do reviews. I would prefer if you just give me the best price upfront. You shouldn't have to talk me into it I need windows and I'm willing to pay but not when you're able to knock off 40% like it's no big deal and tell me that you're looking out for me if you were truly looking out for me you give me the best price upfront read more

Overall dissatisfaction with SoftLite, the subcontractor Window Nation uses for manufacturing and installation. The crew showed up right on time. The crew lead did a walk-through of the home to confirm where the windows should go, and reviewed the supplies on the truck. The crew lead informed me that I had signed an incorrect contract that did not cover all of the windows in my home (7 as opposed to 9). I furnished the triplicate copy of the contract for him, and showed him that I indeed did sign a contract for 9 windows. He reviewed it and agreed, but did not apologize for the mix-up. Somewhere between our contract and the crew dispatched to our home there was a breakdown in communication. The truck only had 7 correct windows. Two of the windows were wrong: one was for the half bath, and was not painted in the Musket color/would not be compliant with our HOA; the other was the sliding door, which was also not painted, and it opened from left to right, instead of right to left. The crew lead called his supervisor at SoftLite (Danielle) about this issue. Danielle tried to convince me to keep the incorrect windows and take a discount for them. I informed her these windows would not comply with my HOA regulations, and that it would not be in my best interest to do so - I would just have to replace them again when the HOA found out. She persisted, particularly with the sliding back door. She tried to tell me that the left to right opening would be fine. However, the crew lead showed me that we have a vent on the floor that would not allow for this. Finally, Danielle agreed to order the correct two windows for me, and to "give them for me for free" in that she would not "charge me extra" for them. I was appalled at this, as I had already paid for all 9 windows, and had the contract to prove it. We scheduled a second installation date for Sunday, July 26th, when the two remaining windows will go in. Prior to scheduling the follow-up installation date on July 26th, Danielle and the crew lead tried to tell me that they could not install any windows today, and that they needed to all go in at once. The lead even had the gall to tell me that he did not want to pay his crew to come out here twice, for partial installations both times. I told him my fiancee and I had already used two vacation days from work, and we were not staying home again. After much persuasion, I convinced Danielle and the crew that that 7 correct windows needed to be installed today, and to schedule the follow-up for a Sunday. At 1 pm work finally began on my home, two hours after the scheduled start time. I do not fault the crew members, who worked very hard, were respectful and completed the job. However, I was shocked by the deplorable customer service I received from Danielle (in CO) and the crew lead. I hope Window Nation improves its coordination efforts with subcontractors such as SoftLite. This was not a pleasant experience for me, and I'd be loath to recommend Window Nation to anyone at this point. read more

Beware! Your interior sill measurements will be reduced and vary by window based on the WN method of installation. Your inside mounted blinds will be useless.  Our sales person said nothing about this. Be prepared for an exhaustive sales process with lots of methods used to try and get you to pay a higher price. The first quote was over $1,000 PER WINDOW. My end quote was less than $600, 45 minutes later with a high pressure "you must act now to get this price".  You would be better off working with a local contractor and confirming their install method, I regret I did not do this.  My inside mounted 2 inch wood blinds are useless now in 17 of my 22 replacement windows.  Efforts to get response from WN was a run around of various people saying they made no claim about interior measurements and they don't see a service issue/problem. The only way you know your available inside mount space will be reduced is on install day, when the install team has already removed/destroyed your original window and you have no choice but to accept this install method and the tiny remaining interior sill - less than 1 inch. If your window treatment and style inside your home matters to you, don't use WN. If it doesn't, use them, but be prepared to work for it in an exhaustive high pressure sales pitch that leaves you wondering if you really got a good deal. read more

The consultation was significantly longer than expected. However, I was persuaded to make a purchase. The company contacted me one day later to schedule the measurements. Terrible company. I worked for them and upon quieting They are holding and refusing to pay me commissions due in accordance to the contract. They keep making up excuses as to why they are holding it. Bottom line, these jobs were completed while I was employed and according to the contract and an email with a spreadsheet sent to me I was to be paid this commission by now, but they have given me 2 different excuses as to why they have not paid it. Signed a contract to replace my windows in June 2020, installation was meant to be done in August 2020 but didn't happen. Finally got a call that they would install on September 2. I took out my blinds and moved all furniture as per their instructions. On the day, they never showed up or called. We called them after their window of arrival ended only to be told they were coming. Asked for explanation, nothing up to now. I spoke to the sales manager warren, he promised to call me back and never did. I called him today, his message was basically he would call back whenever he has information. When I pushed for timeline, he finally said he would 4pm. I am waiting for that call. The customer guy Chris was professional, but the sales manager and customer care have no customer care skills at all. They operate like they are doing a customer a favor, even though they have already taken my $$$$ for deposit! read more

You kept me informed regarding the ordering process, delivery date and time. Your techs showed up on time, advised me of the process for removing the existing door and installing the new one. After they completed the job, they instructed me on how to use the door; the safety lock on the screen and well as how to keep the door in tip top shape. After the techs left, I could not tell a trace of them ever being in my home. They were meticulous, courteous and professional. Your training goes far beyond many other companies out there. I recently purchased an older home and am in the process of getting quotes for replacement windows. I called WN. They will inundate you w/calls and emails pre and post appt. setting. He was on time and very professional and courteous. I really liked him. He seemed really great until I got to the end and he said the price & discount was only good for today and it would be illegal for him to give me the same price tomorrow & gave me some double talk as an example that Boscov's couldn't give me a sale price the day before the sales flyer begins or the day after it ends & stated and a lot of other nonsense that didn't make sense to me - WTH? I had to make a decision on $7200 in 5 minutes after 40% discount that's only good for that day. I wasn't asking for a year to decide. He also told me that it would be 20% more if I didn't agree to buy today & I would then deal w/the inside salesgirl. Well I told him that was pressure sales and a quote was a quote. He also asked me if I knew how much it cost the company for him to come out to my sales appt? His answer was $850 due to marketing & gas costs. He said that the price was only good for that day and it was not pressure sales. He also that he could pack up his stuff and be out of my house & there was no pressure. I asked him to step out of house so I could call a friend. The friend advised me to wait. I called him back in and he offered me $1100 less. I am not a snap decision maker. Had they said the quote was good for even a few days to a week & I had time to think about it, I may have done it, but the pressure sales tactic does not work w/me. He also said I could agree to the price today and I could cancel w/in 5 days and showed me a disclaimer. Well I prefer to not have to try and get out of something b/c most of the time it is not as easy as they say. I was also told that if they didn't close the sale that first day w/the customer, the customer never calls the company back & usually ends up using another company-again WTH? Well,original quote for 8 windows w/o discount was a little over 12K. After supposed 40% discount *(only good for one the day of sales presentation), it came to around $7200 or $7300. I chose to do 7 windows instead of 8 to cut cost & it came to about $6600. Ultimately I said I couldn't decide that day, the salesman came back at me w/$5460 which is $780 per window. Bottom line, the company needs to changes its tactics. It's probably not the salesperson, but the company's idea to present it that way. If you ask me, that is causing them to lose business. Well I read quite a few reviews for WN all the way back to 2013. I'm here to tell you the high pressure sales shenanigans is still going on. Last evening (08/07/2018) the pushy WN sales person decided to walk around to my back yard where I was cutting grass on my lawn tractor and motioned for me to shut my tractor off....thinking "hmmm here we go"...so I did. He immediately went into the sales pitch, by one, get one free. Attempted to tell him my wife and I just had a major home improvement purchase in the past few weeks and my daughter is about to begin 6 years of pharmacy school at a division one university so we're not getting windows for a while...he kept pushing, not taking "No" for an answer. At that point my wife got home from work and came out on to the back porch. I steered the guy toward my wife knowing she's tougher than I am while I finished cutting the grass. Thinking she would get rid of him, she gave him my name and phone no. which are now on his paper and the next thing I know he's got me on his cell phone with their "confirmation team". The guy on the other end of the phone is now asking for a good time to meet "tomorrow evening" and requested my wife also be present....that said to me this means $$$$$$$. The salesman in my yard tried telling the guy on the phone I also wanted siding since there is some mold on the siding where the sun doesn't shine as much (power washing will take of that, otherwise the siding is fine). I then told the guy on the phone "no siding". The other thing the sales guy kept pushing, the estimate is good for a year....At this point I had enough and agreed to meeting the following night which would be this evening as of this writing. Told the guy on the phone from the "confirmation team" 7 PM was the earliest I could do since that's when my wife would be home. He immediately says "can you do it any earlier?" I just told him that's when my wife would be getting home.....apparently they're not just pushy but also have hearing difficulties.....I called the WN confirmation team today and told them to cancel the meeting, told them I agreed to the meeting to get the sales guy out of my yard and I just want to drop the hammer on this now...also mentioned I have other expenses and not in the market at this time, he replies what night would I like to reschedule....REALLY????? He started the schpeal again about the estimate being good for a year....I immediately replied in a stern slightly elevated voice "NO NO NO NO NO" at which point he finally stood down and said he is cancelling the meeting. If they should show up tonight anyway I will be sure to revisit this blog and report it. read more

Requested a quote and phone rep says it will take 60 minutes. Sales rep comes to house and stays over 2 hours! Came over at 6:00 and kids are hungry a tired but this guy won't leave. Quote for windows and doors we wanted was $7k more than what we ended up paying. Sales rep actually said "this is how I feed my kids" while not leaving and making it physically hard for me to feed my kids. They emailed me later and I told them how much I didn't appreciate all this in a response. Castle Windows had a pushy rep stay two hours too and when I emailed them back they apologized. Window Nation didn't apologize and keeps emailing me though I report their email addresses as spam. Window Nation will send a pushy rep who won't leave and will keep emailing you no matter how much you tell them to leave you alone--and you can find better deals from Window World and Lowe's if you, like me, don't believe the quality of one window to the next with similar U factor and SHGC numbers isn't worth 50% more cost than the next. The sales pitch was absolutely dreadful. They waste your time and MAKE you watch videos and actually feel caulking and they go on and on and on. They also talk bad about competitors. I had to ask the sales person to leave my house. My toddler was all over the place and he kept going and going. I asked him to get to the bottom line, and he told me he MUST go through every aspect of the presentation. He said the installation was warrantied, but insisted on going through every step and how they do it. I'm a single mom of a very active toddler and I have no time! The windows are the last part of the presentation, so we didn't even get to that part. I had 3 other companies come before him, and one didn't even need to visit - they sent me an estimate via email. Learn your customer and adapt to their lifestyle. Your sales pitch has to be able to be comfortable and adaptable. I basically got no quote because I refused to listen to the sales pitch which would span the entire hour. He stopped to talk about movies and such - trying to build a rapport. Meanwhile my toddler was bouncing off the wall -- learn your customer. Who does marketing or who is the sales Director?? Change needs to happen. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We had a salesperson in our home for an estimate. After a rather long presentation, we were given several pricing options ranging from $40K (retail) that no one pays to a year long price which was about half to a 30 day price which was slightly better to the sign today price which was about $18K. We decided to sign the contract knowing we had 3 days to cancel under Virginia law. We gave a deposit check for almost $6K and were told it would not be cashed until after the cancellation period. (LIE!!!) After cancelling the contract 2 days later and receiving confirmation via email from a manager stating the check would be VOIDED (LIE!!!) I emailed the salesperson thanking him for the time and effort and let him know we had cancelled. After the July 4th holiday, I checked my account on Friday 7/5 and was angered and surprised to see that my check had been cashed. After several attempts to call all persons involved (sales rep, manager, company) I received a call back from Customer service stating it would be Monday before accounting could take a look at what happened. I called on Monday and was told that it could take up to 10 days to get my money back. After much conversation, I was told that a check would be sent overnight via UPS to my house and arrive on Tuesday, 7/9 (LIE!!!) As I write this review, I still have no check and it is scheduled to arrive on 7/10 late morning. The whole situation has been ridiculous and handled in a very bad manner. I would not give my business to this company if they gave me the windows for FREE. read more

Attended the home and remodel show at Dulles expo center and saw these folks at a booth. Made an appointment and they came when they said they would. However, then I got the big sales push - " the discount from the Show is only available while I'm here - if I leave it goes away". I was unimpressed with the answers I got to other questions and so decided against their windows. Later when I was reviewing the materials I had collected from the show I found the promotional material from this contractor where it said their quotes were good for 30 days. Sorry folks, but that kind of sales fibs means I NEVER buy anything from you. Buyer beware! read more

I worked with Chris, whose follow up was top notch. He kept me in the loop on everything and was highly professional throughout the entire process. I never had to wait for more than a couple of hours for an email response. The employee who came out to measure called 30 min. before arrival and was on time, efficient, personable, and courteous. I was told it would take about 2-3 weeks from the date the order was put in to the actual installation. The measurements were taken on 11 May, the order went in the following week, and the window's were installed on 11 June. The installers were to be here between 8-10, they showed up at 8:30. We had ordered 27 windows and when only 3 installers showed up, I was somewhat concerned, but they actually worked non stop and were finished ahead of schedule. They were professional and courteous. They cleaned up after they were finished and the windows look beautiful. I feel like the price was amazing and I absolutely will refer my neighbors to Window Nation. I could not be more pleased with the service and product offered by Window Nation. read more

I attended the Capital Home Show on Saturday, September 20. I went specifically to speak with window installation companies. I met with the representative from Window Nation and made an appointment for the following Tuesday. However, on Monday I received a message to call and confirm the appointment. I returned the call to confirm but the woman on the phone said I was not allowed to purchase windows without my husband being present.. What!? I have made many purchases for my home since my name is the only one on the deed. Oh well, Vinyl-Lite is coming on Friday to give me an estimate without my husband needing to be here. read more

Called for free estimate they came out late of course gave a rate and then contacted me a few days later saying manuf was behind and needed the business so even a better rate when asked about the 5 year 0% Im being told oh ya but there is 0.699 % on top of that thus raising the payments so therefore it is not 0% interest but they keep saying it is separate from the 5 year 0% doesn't matter false advertising. read more

I made an online request for a free in home estimate. No one showed. When I called they told me that the online request wasn't final until I talked to someone to confirm. That is fine, but not clear in the online request form. Both Customer Service agents I spoke to were rude and condescending. I can understand a miscommunication, I can't understand being rude to potential customers. read more

After writing to the owner of Window Nation about my experience, a local manager called me and I decided to give the company another try before deciding which door installer to go with. The salesperson showed up 20 minutes late for the appointment, but was courteous and did educate me about door quality and glass quality. The visit took more than an hour and he would have stayed longer if I had not rushed him. I was disappointed to learn that the person visiting and giving me an initial quote did not measure the doors, but a separate person had to visit the house to measure the doors, and depending on what s/he found, the price may vary. I was quoted retail $8,000+ for two doors, but with standard discounts, $5,700. He said if I decided that day, it would be $4,200. I did not have time to check reviews and compare companies that day, am an turned off by high-pressure sales tactics like this, so I did not take them up on their offer. The $4,200 quote was within reason and though the second-highest quote, it was in the ballpark of the better quotes. Their door and glass quality seem to be very good. If the discount was valid for more than a few hours, I may have used their services. read more
