Excellent experience from when sales (Michael M.) came out to do estimate to when installation was done by Francisco Lopez and his crew. Installation crew was fast and efficient. They left the work area clean. The first thing the crew did was to cover with tarp the wood floor area where they'd be working so as not to scratch the flooring. I hired same company many years ago to replace the sliding door in San Diego condo. They came out many years later to fix the lock mechanism on our request. So finally my last window arrived and was installed today, only ten months after the original contract was signed and almost a full summer after the other windows were installed. At the conclusion of this whole ordeal it came down to one person doing their absolute worst at communicating. One person made this whole experience go sideways for me and my family. I have been reassured that person no longer works for the company and the stars I leave today reflects the salesperson, the installers and the new leadership that took over and handled my issue to an acceptable result. Going forward I have no need for new windows for at least 10-15 more years so it will be some time before Window World gets another shot at my business. The salesperson came out and was very nice. We signed the contract and gave a deposit. They were supposed to come back quickly to measure, but it took two weeks of phone calls to get someone out. Then they were supposed to pull the permit next. Mike was our salesman who promised over and over he would get back to me but never did. I was able to get in touch with Wendy and Angel to get updates on permits. They said they were pulled. Three days later we went to the city and the permit was still never pulled. The windows were supposed to be installed within two months of signing the contract. It's been more than two months and they never even pulled the permit. Stay away from this company! They make promises they can't keep and never get back to you. read more

I ordered 2 sliding glass doors back in Sept and with the Global Supply Chain issues the wait was anticipated to be longer; they finally came in January. Mario and his guy came to install them and they did an OUTSTANDING job! They cleaned everything up so nice, didnt leave a trace of anything behind. They were on time, very pleasant and took their time to make sure that all was well with the install. They removed 2 old wooden french doors. 1 was a sliding french door and the other were double opening french doors. The doors they put in are beautiful. Terrible customer service. 1. Wrong slider action installed, they refused to change it and didn't offer much of a discount for the inconvenience and having. A door with the wrong actin installed. I even asked the installers before they installed it and they said it was correct, it wasn't. 2. Found a scratch on side glass, door glass ordered for replacement but they don't call/text/email updates. We had to call multiple times. Upon a recent call to them they said it was in and would call back to schedule, then didn't call to schedule. We had to call and schedule. 3. Install date came and went with no call and no show crew. We had to call again. They finally got back to us and we are waiting for the reschedule date. I strongly suggest to consider other options that have no customer service issues. This is the worst experience we've had with lack of communication. Don't let the commercials fool you, shop around. If I had the owners # I would like to let them know how I feel wasting a day waiting for their installers and lack of communication on crew no show. read more

I was told they would be installed by Thanksgiving and then the front desk person said it may be longer than that and it was quickly resolved. We ordered 6 new windows, 2 sliding doors with screens and one garden window in September and was told due the the usual "supply chain issues" they would be installed in January. January we received notification they would be installed in February, we were good with that. I took the day off from work to be at home during the installation. When the installers arrived they did NOT have the sliding screens nor the garden window. This was a surprise to me as no one at Window World passed that information along. About a month later we received notification that the garden window and 2 sliding screens have arrived and scheduled an installation date. My husband took the day off this time. When they arrived, one of the sliding screens was the wrong size. How does that happen? When you measure for the sliding door, the screen should match. Our sliding doors were two different sizes and they knew that. We were told they would have to order the correct size sliding screen. Well, it has been a month, and no word on when we will get our screen. Every week we call for an update and never have received a phone call back. We are very happy with the windows but the customer service is the WORST!!!!! With the weather getting nice in the evenings, we would like to open the slider, but have no screen. TLDR; Windows seem decent (heat rejection doesn't seem as strong as their demo window) but they subcontract their work and their subcontractors could not care less about how clean/dirty they leave your house. Communication? Their communication is very similar to that of car salesmen; great when they're selling you something but non-existent after they make the sale. They're quick to respond when asking for initial estimate and up to the point of signing the contract to move forward with their work. Communication immediately fell off afterwards. Windows took months to arrive, which is likely due to Covid so I'm not knocking them for that. However, they subcontract their work and the subcontractors left my house a mess. They left dirty fingerprint smudges all over our new paint, didn't re-install the blinds correctly, put up crown moulding around the sliding patio doors but left nail holes, finger prints, black smudges all over the trim and the wall surrounding the trim. Unfortunately, they had to come back to re-install one of our windows because they ordered the wrong one which took months to arrive and install. I had scheduled an install day but the install never happened because the coordinator doesn't respond in a timely manner at all. After waiting a week to schedule another install date, a new pair of subcontractors showed up to install the correct window in our office. When they arrived, they left one sheet of carpet cover on the base of our stairs and failed to cover the rest of the staircase, the hallway and our office. What's the point of laying down one sheet at the base of the stairs when they're climbing in and out of our window onto our roof? Needless to say, they left roof tile stains all over our office carpet and dirty smudge marks all around our window. I couldn't even get the stains out with a carpet cleaner so I'll have to hire professional carpet cleaners to get all their stains out. Funny thing about the carpet cover is that it said something like "we cover your floors because we care." They could not care less about you after they make the sale. Keep that in mind. read more

The first time we purchased and had our windows and sliding doors installed was 3 years ago and everything went smoothly. That was the sole reason that we used them again. My issues with WW is not with the installers. It's with Sales to project management. They were not up front or truthful during installation. Example, I was told that the job would take 1 day for installation. During the installation and towards the end of that day the workers realized that they were not able to complete the job and needed another day. No reason was given but it was a big job and I understood. They told me that someone from WW would call the next day to schedule. I personally called that same day and spoke with Jeff who assured me that the workers will be back the next day to complete the job. The next day, I had called and spoke with Jeff and Anthony numerous times because no one was showing up at the promised time. I was given the run around again like they are on their way and then the truck broke down. Two workers finally showed up toward the end of that day to do more "measuring". This was the first time I was informed that there was an error in measurement. This was very frustrating because that meant that another day will be needed to install. What would have been a 1 day job turned into 3 days. They should have been honest from the beginning that they messed up with the initial measuring. I would have understood but keeping me in the darks was not cool. Prioritizing unfinished job and scheduling should have been taken into consideration by WW and not by the me as a customers calling and pestering them for answers. Unfortunately we had an issue with one of the doors which needed to be replaced. I was told that the ordering and transportation of the new door will take 4-5 weeks. After that time frame, WW called to schedule an appointment . The scheduled day turned into another disappointment. I was informed that they ordered the wrong door and I must wait another 4-5 weeks, which I had no choice but waited again. This morning was the day that the installers were coming. I get a call from Jeff stating that the truck with my door was broken down on 405 and that the job must be pushed to tomorrow Saturday. This was the same excuse used " truck broke down" twice on me. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow........ Their lack of communication and honesty leaves a bad taste. I cannot refer anyone I know to WW. read more
