We picked up lunch from here today right after they opened at 11. We were planning on taking our sandwiches to a brewery and eating there, and we had our puppy with us, so I sat on a bench on the sidewalk out front while my husband ordered our food. The owner saw me and told my husband we could sit on their patio, so we moved over there. He brought us glasses of water, and filled up a bowl for our dog to drink while we waited. Super nice! Got our sandwiches and headed over to the brewery. These sandwiches are massive! We each ate half and will eat the rest tomorrow for lunch. Husband had the "Our Go To Italian" sub and it was so freakin good! He said it was the best Italian he had ever had, and I have to say it's definitely up there for me. Great flavors in this sandwich! I had the Not Quite Basic, which is ham, swiss, brie, tomatoes, and dill pickles on ciabatta bread. Rarely do I see sandwiches with brie on them, so I was excited! It was really good, but I was expecting a panini since it was on the "From The Press" section of the menu. It was not a panini, and the ciabatta was very thick and hard, the sandwich was so fat I could barely take bites from it. I wasn't mad at it though, I would get it again, just ask for different bread. We will definitely come back. It rained yesterday so it's chilly outside, it's an open atmosphere kind of like a brewery feeling with big open doors to the patio and into a high ceiling open floor modern cafe. The gentleman who works here is super nice and welcoming and the vibe is very laid back - they have some smooth vibe 50s instrumentals playing and it makes it feel like a cozy Sunday inside. Check My wife and I came on a busy Saturday due to a large halloween event going on at center st. I ordered the "our go to italian" and she ordered the ruben (special, off menu).
