But more than the sandwiches, the customer service was worthy of ten stars. The owner was personable and very friendly, going above and beyond to take his time and suggest options. I really liked this place. The owner behind the bar had really good energy. He was the best part of my visit. The beer list was fantastic, but way over priced. $11 or $12 for an IPA with an ABV under 6.5 is criminal, and that's only for a 12oz pour. At least pour a pint so we don't feel like we're totally getting ripped off. As far as the sandwich, I enjoyed it. But this is my issue, and feel free to start the eyerolling now. If you are truly a sandwich aficionado, you know there are simply better deli meats out there than Boar's Head. I don't know who the marketing guy is for Boar's head, but I tip my cap to him. He should go into the marketing Hall of fame, because everybody just goes along with their marketing that they're the best, and that simply isn't true. The truth is, it's a subpar product. First off, before I even get to the food let me just say that the man at the register was super nice and extremely helpful. I want to say he was the owner but I'm not sure. There's also wine, beer and a few sodas in a fridge and some chips near the counter. There's indoor and outdoor seating and puppers are allowed out there. As for the food, I went with 3 other people so I got to try a few different sandwiches and everything was delicious. The Oklahoma Sunset is a must! Everything meshes so well together. Kitten Mittens is another good one as well as Ruben and The Jets, and Needs More Butter which is a special and although messy, it was good! We heard this place was good so we thought we'd give it a try. First impression was excellent! Nice looking restaurant with great ambiance. Outside seating as well, that's a plus. We were met with a warm greeting by very personable staff the moment we walked in the door. Their selection of sandwiches is very cool. I'm a huge fan of pastrami so I went with that. This is how it should be. Plenty of pastrami with swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. As a bonus, there's grilled onions as well, all on toasted marble rye. Yum! My wife had the Dude Ranch. She loved it. I may have snuck a bite of that as well. So good! We also got a Hail Ceasar wrap. It was fantastic! What a great place! We've had our eye on this for a while now since we kept walking by it but since they close at 8pm, it was hard for us to try it for weeknight dinner. This place is my go to for food and craft beer when in the Anaheim packing house area. They have a small but current / unique rotating tap beer menu which pair well with their amazing sandwich menu. They also have gourmet hot dogs which I haven't tried since I have been making my way through the amazing sandos. The staff/owners are always friendly and welcoming and helpful. I'm coming back here as soon as I can. I came here on the tail end of a bar hopping trip- a very disappointing one where most of the beers I had were underwhelming. But Windsor Brown's saved the day. The drinks were so good ("Feathers, Bone Chimes, and Eternal Rest" was especially sweet and tasty). And I would go here for the food alone. We also tried the macaroni and potato salad which was loaded with mayo and pretty much inedible. I found this spot on Yelp, and I'm mad at myself for just now discovering Windsor Brown's despite how close it is. Better late than never though. My husband and I have now been 5 times since we discovered it 2 months ago, and we've tried a different sandwich every time, because they are ALL great. That said, my personal favorites so far are the "not quite basic" and "ruben and the jets." Their pasta and macaroni salads are both very good too; we always get one or the other with our sandwiches. The owner is very friendly, and he and his team do a great job with both food prep and service. The craft beer selection is great, and their outdoor patio is very nice this time of year.
