Not a review of service but of bad bus driving. Today 7/29/19 at around 5pmj, bus 487 ran me off the road, south on 355 exiting off to Maple. Apparently that driver didn't care that I was right next to him and forced him self over to my lane which forced me on to the shoulder. Police were notified. read more

I used them 1 time and never again. They kept saying the car was going to be there it was supposed to be only a block away. I waited almost an hour. I could have gotten a cab in half the time and almost half the money. read more

When having a New Years Eve wedding, transportation for our guests was a huge worry. Luckily we found Windy City Limousine! They did an excellent job shuttling our wedding guests to and from our venue. They were prompt, polite, made sure our guests were comfortable. The driver was a few minutes late, which is fine, this happens. We had our bags lined up on the porch, he didn't show any interest in helping us, so we carried the bags down to the curb ourselves. The driver had a lot to say during the ride to airport, I wish he was more focused on the road. We cancelled our return trip with Windy City and picked a different company (Boston Coach) which was 2.5x the price for a SUV, but was worth the money. Also, you cannot cancel a reservation online when you use Limos.com, you have to call their central operator and be hassled and shamed by their customer service staff. This is my last experience with Windy City and Limos.com -- you get what you pay for! read more

We paid a very large price for the coach bus. Unfortunately the driver had no idea where she was going, the bus was filthy, the bathroom had urine allover the seat and floor and the bus had a strong moldy scent. Windy City did not assist us as all of the passengers were late for the event due to the driver's ignorance of the city's streets. Our corporate coordinator for events and transportation was calling their offices and put on hold for 20 minutes and was hung up on never returned her call. We will not be using Windy City again in Chicago and their affiliates throughout the country. read more

We booked this company for our November 2016 wedding. I dealt w Klaudia via email & phone since we lived out of state. I was able to go by to a few months prior to wedding and was given a tour of the vehicles we had interest in. They have immaculate clean looking vehicles. We booked a sprinter and Suv for our wedding. The drivers were very professional and were more than just on time. I would recommend to anyone and am glad we booked w this company. Better off with a school bus. Rough ride more then, half curtains missing, bathroom not emptied & smelled horrible for several hour ride. The AC unit was not working, only, one speaker works, Is blown out,. Seats broken, don't care that but the headrests are worn too. Definitely not classy, has to be the worst vehicle on the fleet. Previous windy city bus saving this from one star. Time to retire a few of these busses, or reserve them for just bar crawls. For gods sake pump out the head when it's full, or before another group gets the charter for a full day. read more

This transportation company is not customer oriented at all. I travel a fair amount at least a couple times a month. I only recently began using this company as they were referred to me as being reliable. I used them on 4 other occasions and did so successfully. We have a small 12lb 10yr old cockapoo that travels with us and we have made it clear with these guys that we have a dog and that we do not want to have her in the carrier for the ride to the airport as she will be in a plane for several hours ( and this is in our profile). On this occasion the driver showed up and requested that we put our dog in the carrier which we stated that we would not and that we were up front with the company about this. The dog got excited and ran into the the vehicle while we were closing up the house and ended up on the front driver seat where she did get his seat wet ( now he stated it was urine which it is possible but we had just had her out back to do her business before we left and there was snow on the ground so it could just as easily been water) which we cleaned up immediately with a paper towel ( very little ). The driver again requested we put her in a carrier and that is when I just refused and informed him that we would drive ourselves. On the way to the airport I called the office to let them know what happened and to not charge me since I did not use their service. I was told that a manager would call me back well that was 2 days ago and I finally called them today and was told again that a manager would call back and this time they did. The call was from 2 people ( accounting manager and Livery Manager) who put me on speaker phone and proceeded to explain how their guy was great and that he spent a lot of money on his vehicle (which I am well aware of since I own the same Make and model). needless to say their dispute resolution methods are less than appropriate and sure are not done with the intent to resolve an issue only to admonish and make sure we are aware they are right. Bottom line is that if this particular driver had issues with pets then he should not have been dispatched to us and the driver once in this situation should just deal with it as long as we are not requiring anything that would be detrimental to him or his company which it would not have been. Not to worry I will never use this company again this is for all the other people that are just looking for quality service and I will not even say for a reasonable price because this company is at the upper end of coast spectrum but I personally am willing to pay more for quality service. read more

I would have liked to give a zero for this review. I had an extremely hostile driver, who must be experiencing some life difficulties, but he shouted and snapped at a polite request, and made me feel very unsafe in the car with him. On top of that, he used his cell phone to receive notifications and scroll on the map throughout the drive. I will be reporting this behavior to my company as well, who uses this service often. I would have imagined Windy City exercised better driver vetting. read more

We used Windy City Limo for our wedding in April 2012. We were pretty budget conscious and thus had developed a pretty complicated logistics plan to get guests from the hotel to the church...and then from the church to the reception at the lowest cost possible. Mallory, from Windy City, was really patient with us and helped to work through all the plans. She helped us get the best rates possible and made me feel really comfortable with our decision to go with Windy City. On the day of our wedding, the buses we used (a combo of the 14 passenger and 35 passenger) were impeccable! Our guests thought they were extremely elegant/upscale. I actually think the Windy City buses made our guests feel really special - which is exactly what I wanted. Windy City was a little more expensive than some options out there (like school buses) but I would definitely recommend WSL for any bus or private car transportation! read more

I used Windy City Limo for my recent (12/16/17) wedding. Everything was PERFECT!! I worked with Klaudia Stachura leading up to my wedding and she answered all of my questions thoroughly. On the day of my event, the drivers for both of my charters (I had a party bus for the bridal party and a coach bus to shuttle my guests) arrived early, were SO fun, polite, and accommodating, the vehicles were clean, spacious, and elegant, the party bus included everything we spoke about over the phone/email, the radio was easy to control, and there were absolutely zero hiccups in our traveling! I am so appreciative of the services from Windy City Limo, which helped to make my wedding day run very smoothly! We hired Windy City to run a continuous shuttle service from our hotel and reception hall for our guests (so that no one would have to worry about securing transportation if they had a few drinks). Unfortunately even though communication was excellent before the event, Windy City could not deliver on the day of the event. The driver assigned to our contract did not understand his duties (even though our coordinator had confirmed our expectations based on the contract multiple times). The driver stranded the bride (me) as well as 30 of our guests at the hotel. Later, when I confronted him about his mistake, he was rude and smug. When I contacted the company after the event, the driver began to make up stories about how "someone" told him to wait at the reception even though guests and staff would not have done so. Not only was their employee incompetent, but both he and management were completely unwilling to compensate us for the breach of contract. I had very high hopes for this company based on their excellent initial communication, but wish I would've gone with someone else. I can't get the 45 minutes of my wedding back (the minutes I missed because I was stranded by their driver). read more

Just picked my daughter up from a school field trip that used a Windy City Limo bus for transportation to Great America. Upon arriving to Great America the coach bus underwent an inspection by the Illinois State Police and DID NOT pass safety inspection! The kids had to be transported home via a school bus from another company. What is going on with this company? How can you be allowed to carry children in an unsafe vehicle? read more

Beware...if you're looking for a shuttle to show up at the time it says it will, don't bet on this company. We hired Windy City Limousine for our wedding in August to shuttle guests from the hotel to the church and then from the church to the reception. The positives: The reservation process went smoothly, Jessica was great about answering our questions and always replied promptly. It seemed like it'd be smooth sailing. Rates were competitive (but that's only worth it if you receive the service). The negatives: Shuttle didn't show up on time and the management was beyond unhelpful. The bottom line: The shuttle wasn't at the hotel when they said they would be and so were unable to take people to the church. So we had to scramble to get people to the church, the ceremony was delayed and family photos were heavily curtailed (not to mention the stress, confusion and expense). The shuttle did take people from the church to the reception - and that part went smoothly. But it took a couple weeks and more than one phone call before management finally refunded us for the half of the contracted service that we did not receive- not exactly the kind of thing you want to have hanging over your head on your honeymoon! read more

A truly horrible experience. We used them for our wedding day. We literally had to correct the instructions 4 times before wedding day. On the actual wedding day, the car service left without the bride and groom and wedding party, so we were all stranded at the venue for hours at the end of the night. The day after the wedding we requested a refund for the service and got no response at all for two and a half weeks. Finally someone followed up and argued with us, but ultimately agreed to issue a refund for less than half of the cost of the service. The refund never appeared. Two weeks later we followed up and the manager said he would personally issue the refund. Still no refund two weeks later. Finally, after a third time contacting Windy City Limo, the $100 refund was issued. The entire thing was a pain and a mess. read more

This is the 2nd time they leave me standing on the curbside for 20 min then switch cars on me then make me sit inside the car for another 20 min.... Over 45 min wait total time.... The positives - car arrived on time - The negatives - this service was schedulted through Make A Wish - which would tell someone that children are involved - two car seats were ordered ahead of time - they were not installed and when installation was attempted they did not fit the vehicle. Passengers were now running late so took one of their own cars to follow the limo as it was the safe way to go with the infant seat situation. The driver dropped the many bags and passengers a long distance from the sky cap - a Chicago policeman and Southwest Airlines representative were kind enough to carry the luggage. Are you kdding me!!!! This is not a family friendly operation. read more

Such a disappointing experience. After being a loyal customer for business trips as well as family trips, the regrettable level of customer service that was given forced me to severe ties. They showed no accountability or regret after informing them that we had to load all of our luggage in the snow. What they did do was charge a 15.00 waiting charge, which was not accurate. I found Windy City to be unreliable and unprofessional. When Windy City failed to show up for my 10:00 a.m. reservation on November 4th, I called at 10:20 a.m. and was advised that Windy City was running late and would arrive within 10 minutes (10:30 a.m.). I didn't have enough time to wait (nor did I trust Windy City's time estimate) so I canceled the limo reservation with Windy City and resorted to taking a cab at a higher cost. The final insult was that Windy City still charged me for the trip not taken and refuses to credit the improper charge. I will use an alternative limo service in the future and recommend that my employer do the same. read more

I utilized their coach bus transportation as a package deal during a lazy river tubing outing on 8/22/15 in Indiana and left my wallet AND phone in the overhead compartment on the return bus trip back to Chicago. I immediately reached out to them and was excellently handled by Mary Heraty, the Director of HR! She kept me in the communication loop at all times and kept me calm during that frustrating ordeal. I'm happy to report that my belongings are back with me, safe & sound, and I have Mary & the awesome staff at Windy City Limos (especially Nicole Nelson who stayed til 8PM to be able to give my possessions in my hands!) to thank for that! read more

We used WCL to transport our wedding guests from the hotel to our ceremony/reception site (same location for both). Leading up to our event I worked with their event coordinator Mallory she was very nice and helpful...when I could get a hold of her. Sometimes after leaving a message I wouldn't get a call back for multiple days. Very frustrating when trying to plan an event. On the day of our event the shuttle was on time, but the driver said he couldn't leave until he received payment. WHAT?! I gave them my credit card number when I put a deposit down and told them to run it for final payment. My fiance and I were already at the venue taking pictures and got an emergency phone call from the friend we had put in charge as the wedding shuttle coordinator. We had to stop taking pictures...interrupting the time we had with our photographer to tell the driver to use the card he had on file! Ridiculous and should never have happened! As a result the rest of our pictures were rushed and stressful. Thanks a lot WCL!! Also, at the end of the night the driver gave my husband and I some weird religious book. It made us uncomfortable and took us away from saying goodbye to some of our guests for a few minutes. Unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Rude!!! Just got off the phone with Judy and she was completely unproffecional and rude! Asked for a quote for pickup dropoff services for my wedding. She first told me its a 3 hr min for weddings, which i dont need, so i asked if ii hadnt mentioned it was for a wedding would pricing be different..she huffed and puffed as if i was bothering her with my questiions and told me im gonna need at least 3 hrs every wedding does...umm im sorry but if i wanted a quote for 3hr service i would have asked for it..dont need someone telling me what i do or dont need especially with an attitude!! I just watched out my office window as the driver of the bus we hired to drive our international colleagues to their hotel walked each rider from the door to the bus with an umbrella, carefully pointing out to each the puddles and low spots so they wouldn't get their shoes wet. I used Windy City Limos for our wedding in April. We rented two buses, one before the wedding and one that was a shuttle bus to take guests from the reception back to the hotel downtown. The entire process from start to finish was great! I emailed to get a quote and received one very soon after. I worked with Mallory and Judy, who made sure we had the exact types of buses we needed. They confirmed the pickup times and locations a few days before the wedding, and we had absolutely no problems. The drivers were extremely professional and helpful that day and evening. We recently rented a party bus for 21 people to a concert. The driver, Anthony, was on time and very courteous. He helped us connect our phone to the bluetooth to control the music which made the experience even better. He assisted us with loading and unloading the bus with cooler and snacks. I reserved a bus for a company outing to US Cellular Field. As is standard, the rental was for 5 hours with the knowledge that any time over that would be billed. I was not able to attend the event and when the bus driver was asked when the group had to return to the bus, he said 9 p.m., to get back to the office by 9:45 because the reservation was for 5 hours - THE GAME STARTED AT 7. He NEVER mentioned the additional fee after 5 hours. The group had to leave during the 7th inning and miss the fireworks after. I called Windy City Limo who "investigated". The driver said he informed them the reservation was for 5 hours and there would be an additional fee after that. I spoke personally with 9 out of the 15 people on the bus ... they call confirmed the driver NEVER mentioned the additional fee. Windy City is taking the word of 1 driver/employee over 9 customers. Windy City did offer a "discount' on a future reservation ... REALLY?!?!?! Our company will NEVER use Windy City again. I am shocked and disappointed with the driver and management's handling of this situation. read more

We had Michael as our driver for our wedding. He was fantastic!! Michael was perfect all around and went above and beyond the call of duty. At the church, he was helping the bride fix her dress right before she walked down the aisle. Then he seemed to appear out of nowhere with a bottle of water when one of the bridesmaids felt faint. We didn't have to worry about a thing. If something was about to go wrong, Michael fixed it before we even knew it was a problem. The limo was in great condition and you could tell that this wasn't his first wedding. Anything we forgot, he had extra... Any questions we had, he would answer before we even had to ask... He was always thinking two steps ahead of us. Also, he catered to the bride. He planned ahead and always made sure that she was sitting on the curbside door so she didn't have to crawl over a seat to get out. Michael really made the day great and I would highly recommend him to any engaged couple looking for a driver. Do not underestimate the need for an experienced driver on your big day. read more

Windy City Limos was a real life saver on our wedding day - it was RAINY, COLD & WINDY! Plus, with such a big bridal party (18), it was tough getting around the city to try to find spots where we wouldn't get soaked! Across the 18 members of the bridal party, we have been in nearly 100 weddings collectively & could all agree that Melvin was the best driver across all of our varied experiences. Our driver Melvin did a WONDERFUL job - not only was he on time (early actually!), he had a strong command of the city & was flexible with last minute change in locations. He also went above & beyond to help the wedding party stay dry by helping us with umbrellas as we got on & off the bus, helped with the flower arrangements in between stops and had an incredibly cheerful spirit throughout the entire day. We truly appreciate the excellent service & would absolutely recommend him specifically but also Windy City Limo to all of our friends & family for future events. WCL helped to fix what could have been an awful night. We had signed contract with another company to drive us for my birthday night and when that company didnt show up at the scheduled time my finance scrambled to figure out what was going on. After several phone calls to that company we had no driver for the night. I started calling around and got to talk to WCL and simply asked how soon could someone pick us up. The dispatcher (Brian I think) said they were pretty busy and didnt think they could accommodate us. He asked what had happened and I told him the story. He asked me to hold on a second and began to work magic. About 2 minutes later he came back on the line and had juggled their schedule and was sending someone to pick us up! Nonetheless, we were picked up and brought back home by WCL. They made what could have been an disaster into a great night out with friends. Thanks to all of the WCL staff for their Saturday night save! PS In the confusion I meant to tip the drop off driver Tom...I forgot. Just know the next time we need a service I will be calling WCL and requesting Tom. I owe him big time! read more

We used Windy City to transport our wedding guests from hotel to reception and reception to hotel. As mentioned in previous reviews, the booking process was smooth and they were prompt to respond to all correspondence. However, much to our disappointment, after countless phone calls and emails confirming all the pick up times and locations were correct, the driver ended up having a "mind blank" and went to the wrong hotel!! I still cant understand how this happened when they called the DAY BEFORE our wedding to confirm all the details. Thank goodness one of our family members was there with the customer service phone number to call and get the driver to the correct address. Needeless to say, approximately 35 of our guests ended up arriving to our cocktail hour almost a half an hour late and costing us around $450 of wasted $ towards our reception bill. When I wrote to complain, it was almost insulting to hear that all they could do was refund us $30 which counted for the drivers gratuity. When it comes to wedding transportation, this company has proven to be unreliable and clearly has poor communication between their drivers and customer service staff. read more

We hired WCL to shuttle guests from our downtown hotel to our wedding venue in Pilsen. Their website could use a little fixing up since not all the photos of the vehicles were working, but I was really pleased with the quality, comfort, and cleanliness of the mini bus they sent. Plus our driver Don (I think, met a lot of people that day!) was really nice. There was a cooler of drinks (sodas and water) on the bus which was a nice touch. On the way back our driver was flexible enough to let off a few guests at their apartments along the way (yay), but (rightly) stood up to requests to go out of the way to places that would have taken us off our main route and would have caused us to get charged overtime plus would have inconvenienced the rest of our guests. read more
