I am surprised, reading the reviews of Windy City Pizza in SOWEY. My bride and I were driving South on 18 last Saturday, looking for a quick bite to eat before we went to an Easter service. She saw Windy City Pizza, on the southbound side of 18, where D'Angelo's used to be. She said she had good feeling about it, so we ducked on in. I'm a vegetarian, and I just wanted a Caesar Salad. I have to say the service was excellent, very friendly, and accommodating. We did not have to wait long at all. My wife had a Greek Salad and she loved it. My Caesar Salad was ice cold, fresh, and none of the lettuce was browning. The Pita was very fresh, soft, and delicious. The dressing, served on the side, was also the tops. Pricing was very reasonable, the facility was exceptionally clean, again the staff were awfully nice, and there was plenty of safe parking. No negatives whatsoever. read more

I don;t particularly enjoy this establishment. I often times didn't care for the price and the quality of the food and flavors. My neighbors whom kept ordering from this establishment would tell me they did so because it was just nearby. But, I'd point out the price, the quality, and various other similar ones, also nearby, that also deliver, and they all conceded that they agreed with me. The main attraction to this establishment is THE PIZZA, but it's honestly not very good, and overly expensive. I'm sorry, I don't like writing bad reviews at all. Went to order delivery and was met with a rude man who claimed to be the manager. Daughter called to order a pizza, She asked for a medium and he stated rude " where did you get medium from?" Then when he stated the pizzas are in inches. We decided on a 10 inch. When she told him that's all we needed he told her " call back when you order something more than $13, the minimum is $15" and hung up the phone. First. You have 10 inch 16 inch and 20 inch. If she says medium, I would think you would assume it would be a 16 inch and nicely confirm if that was ok. And as a person that runs a business you would suggest ordering some type of side to put the bill over $13 instead of hanging up!! When I called back, I asked to speak to the manager, which he stated he was. I told him he was extremely rude to my daughter and he immediately started yelling and talking over me asking me how was he rude. Well if you would have SHUT UP!!! I would tell you. Then he hung up. Had gotten wings and a pizza here over a year ago and they both sucked. Fast forward decided to try one more time. This time subs, an Italian and a ham and cheese with lettuce and tomatoes. The Italian had a minimal amount of meat but plenty of lettuce! Quality of product was poor. The ham and cheese had even less meat. 2 pieces of ham for a large sub and a half a head of lettuce (see pics). My mistake to try this place again. Hung up mid order. This type of skill took years to craft, the person answering the phone is known as the Rude Dude amongst locals, as he reluctantly answers the phone by yelling "pick up only! We close in thirty minutes." I asked if they have thick crust or deep dish. Given the name Windy City pizza, I initially called this business looking for Chicago style. The 'Rude Dude' responds, "all our pizza crust is the same, call back tomorrow," and hangs up the phone on a new customer. I couldn't pay this fine establishment for the provided quality. Where to begin... I've tried this place before and I didn't like it at all but I didn't leave a review b/c I didn't want to add to the negativity. That was a long time ago and because of all the bad reviews I didn't try them again, until today. I thought why not give it another shot. Bad idea. I got a small cheese and boneless tenders. The tenders were absolutely terrible. All these reviews talking about "best wings on the South shore" is a load of rubbish from people who are used to eating trash I guess ‍, and that's exactly where I threw them, and I DON'T waste food. They were pale, soggy, with no flavor. I'm not sure why they offer so many flavor options if they're not going to deliver. They'd be better off just going with Buffalo & BBQ and really putting effort into it, just my opinion. The pizza wasn't completely horrible, I've had worse. I put the rest of it in the freezer for a rainy day. The pizza is the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I thought, well at least the celery is good, until after eating one stick I looked down at the 2nd and saw it was dirty . Now I'm just pissed. They screwed up the order. We placed an order for delivery. We asked for tenders with honey mustard on the side and what we received was a bucket of tenders drenched in honey mustard. I always order from Quincy location this is my second time order from this place and experienced the worst customer service ever I called and made an order. Then my kids change your mind so within three minutes of calling back to cancel the order the gentleman on the phone threatens to put me on the do not order list and want to be rude and argue with me over the phone when I called back as a customer and let him know I'm canceling. Terrible customer service. Even worse online ordering system. Tried to order a Garden Salad with Jack Daniels chicken. I chose Garden Salad and under, it gave me chicken options. I checked off the Jack Daniels option under the CHICKEN OPTIONS. I received my salad without chicken at all. I called and was told that I only marked off Jack Daniels. Not Jack Daniels chicken. Maybe I am confused, are they offering the actual whiskey to go? Why is there a Jack Daniels button? In addition, my 9yr old daughter loves Turkey Subs with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cucumbers. When I ordered this online, it did not give me an option to choose cucumbers. It did, however give me a special instructions section. I made sure that I noted she would like cucumbers on her sub in the special instructions section. Again, when I came to pick up the order I was told that they do not follow anything in the special instruction section and that this time only they put the cucumbers in there but they wouldn't do it again. I should, instead, choose a different topping so that I would be paying extra for the cucumbers So, I'm wondering, if I chose onions and peppers, would I be charged for that? I ordered a chicken sandwich. The picture on the website showed a crispy breaded chicken sandwich with lettuce tomato and all the other fixings. I got three pieces of small chicken on a bun. One could assume the picture on the website is what I was ordering. When I called to complain they insisted they had no idea what I referring to. Then said that any place they know of says you have to ask for all that stuff. I asked them if one orders from McDonald's wouldn't you expect it to look like the picture and come as described. Manager disagreed. I then asked for a refund which the manager refused. Appears to be very false advertising and fraud. Perhaps the manager could benefit some personal reflection and mindfulness. Yes, they've been around since 1989. Not this location though. I suspect if they'd like to remain in business in South Weymouth they'd treat their customers with a bit more care and respect. If I could give zero stars I would. Live less than 1/2 a mile from them. received a delivery and the driver complained about his tip And got argumentative. I was not aware I had to tip a certain dollar amount and did not know the $3.00 delivery fee went to the store and was not shared with drivers. I called to talk to management about the driver complaining and arguing and spoken to so rudely. Management did not care one bit and put me on the no go list. if I'm not aware the $3.00 delivery charge isn't shared I would have tipped more and if it was a further distance to get to me I would have tipped more. I have very high standards for my greasy food cravings and this place has met them. We got a plate of fried chicken with steak fries (which are so fresh and perfectly fried) and a cheese pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza, Buffalo fingers and a Caesar salad around 5:45 pm Saturday night, we were told delivery would be around 40 minutes. No problem we said , it was pouring rain and crappy out. A little over an hour later the driver comes to the door. Still no problem, He doesn't know what we ordered, hands my husband a pizza box with a calzone in it . My husband said that is not ours . The driver starts to get aggravated and says hey I'm working my ass off here been working all night what did you get at which point my husband told him we had a cheese pizza buffalo fingers and a Caesar salad so he pulls out a pizza buffalo fingers and says well I don't have the salad I'll have to go back to get it I was standing in the living room and I said you know what never mind just forget the salad which he started to getVery perturbed and gets very aggressive and in my husband's face swearing dropping the F bomb my husband told him to get off the porch take your food and get out of here we don't want any of it he started yelling and swearing tbrew the food on the ground and went to hit my husband I went out in the porch and started screaming at which point he went to his car and stood there yelling we came in shut off the lights and lock the door he stood out on my lawn yelling and then we heard something hit my house. Extremely disappointed with our experience tonight. They're not accommodating at all and very expensive, which I don't mind if I can get what I want. We wanted boneless and bone in wings plain with sauce on the side. They said no they can't do that. You can get plain wings but the only sauces you can get on the side are honey mustard salad dressing, Buffalo and supposedly sweet and sour. So I ordered 20 piece of plain bone in with side of Buffalo and 20 piece of boneless with side of sweet and sour. The boneless wings came in a spicy sweet and sour sauce all tossed. I caught it while I was still in the parking lot and they said it would be another 15 mins. Meanwhile my bone in wings are getting cold. I left the order and got my money back. Never again!!!The 99 is right across the street and have great deals for the games on Sunday we ended up getting takeout there and it was delish!!!
