So many rubs and sauces it was hard to choose. OMG! Went to Wing Champ in Sharonsville for dinner with the family! The food was amazing! Highly recommend! Smoked wings, brisket and ribs are out of this world! The wings come in all kinds of sauces and rubs that it was hard to choose. Tried several, one better than the next! Everything is homemade, including the Baked Mac and Cheese. Chef Charles made sure we were taken care of. Definitely has my thumbs up! Service was excellent! We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. Tables were spaced out to allow social distancing. Our waiter was very attentive and explained the menu since this was our first time there. She also let us know this was a soft menu due to COVID but more items would be added. This place tried to do a soft open. Probably wasn't a good decision as the owner does not have the staff to be open. Went there on lunch and it took 32 minutes for us to get a cheesesteak sandwich and two bowls. They were out of pico for the bowls. The food was wonderful though. This was a pleasant surprise. Much like others submitting reviews we went to this location thinking we were going to Jim Dandy's which had been a trusted lunch spot over the last few years. After talking to the girl at the counter we decided to give the new place a chance. Ordered the Brisket Philly Sandwich which might be my new favorite spin on the sandwich. It was flavorful, juicy and left me wanting another. I didn't realize it at first but the sandwich also came with large steak fries that sort of had a curly fry look to them and a fantastic seasoning. I have never had such a hidden jewel give me such a great quality product. I came in had the Phill's brisket cheesesteak and I thought that was different. The next time I came I had the wings and they were smoked first and then tossed. I realized it was the best wing I have ever had. I went in today and got food to go. I had 50 wings, Triple J's burger and Brisket tacos. The person taking my order was friendly and very professional. They knew the menu very well. The food was all excellent. The burger was cooked to order and had a lot of flavor. The wings were hot, well seasoned and fresh. I was very impressed with the tacos. They were larger than I expected, the meat was moist and tender. It also had great presentation and came with all the accompanying sauces. This has become my favorite wing spot in the city. Wanted to tried this restaurant for a while. They were open for dine in but we did carryout since the Covid 19 is still contagious. The outside appearance is the first thing that you see when you go to a restaurant so I wasn't impressed with the weeds growing and gutter hanging off by the door. First off business owners need to take pride in their business because first impressions are everything. Ok now for the food. I ordered the 4 wing dinner with 2 sides. The wings were not breaded just fried no flavor at all just bland. Anyone can throw wings in grease and fry them but without any seasoning there just nothing special about them. The sides were macaroni and cheese and yams, the yams were good but the mac and cheese needed salt and pepper just bland the consistency was good just no flavor. My husband got 20 wings garlic parmesan and spicy maple. He was satisfied with the garlic parmesan but not a fan of the spicy maple. We both ordered sweet potato pie and he gives it a 10 very good pie. Also when we got there to pick up our meal he went inside and they told him he needs to go to the drive thru window. There is nothing that indicates this when ordering online or at the front door. This is something that needs to be changed. Also when the young lady gave us our food she was missing his sides and a sweet potato pie. I just don't understand people that just can't do there job correctly all you have to do is look on the ticket and bag what was ordered. She apologized and gave us the rest of our order. I stopped by this restaurant today to try out and to support. The waiter sat us down and after 15 minutes went by, I noticed that he never came back to get our order. It wasn't very crowded and people we're already eating and looked to be enjoying their food. We waited another 5 minutes and another couple came in and were seated right next to us. Maybe 2 minutes went by and the waiter came right over to them and took their drink order and then asked if they wanted to go ahead and order their food. Once we saw this we got up and left. Got in a small line to pay for our 2 cokes and the same waiter asked if we only had 2 cokes. I said yes because you never came back to get our order and no one else did as well. This restaurant is off to a very shaky start in my opinion. The customer service was horrible. The waiter didn't offer to pay for our $2.50 a piece cokes. It's the principle or lack their of that made me upset and most likely will never visit again. read more
