    Sweet and sour chicken

Ordered this food got home and seen that this was old chicken rebattered and refried the color of the sauce didn't look right it's usually a vibrant pink today it was a light brown color, I had to take it back to get refunded, Will not be eating here again. They insisted that the chicken looks like this because of the flour. I've been eating here for months and have never seen chicken look like this. I also ordered almond chicken which they forgot to put in the bag. They only put the sauce and white rice in the bag.

Nice to have a dine in Chinese restaurant in the area. This place has been around a long time and it shows but it was clean and the food was good. The Wonton soup that comes with the meals is a bowl. It has home made wontons and 3 good size ones. This is the best Wonton soup I have had. The dinners are family style. My house special Lo mein dish had 3 meats and was very big. 2 of us ate this and we still took home half of it. The Steak Ala Steak was good as well but I liked the Lo Mein dish better. It is kind of pricy but you get a lot for your money. The also have home made rolls and will take special requests.

I wasn't expecting too much out of the dim sum here, since last time I came here (~ 5 years ago) they were mostly serving the Americanized stuff (think General Tso's chicken and fried wonton strips). However, I was pleasantly surprised! In fact, I'd say it's the best dim sum in the metro Detroit area now (which sadly isn't saying much, but it was actually good). The decor and atmosphere is definitely dated and unappealing, but don't let that deter you. I came with my parents and we ordered a good variety of dishes: har gao (steamed shrimp dumplings), shumai (steamed pork and shrimp dumplings), steamed chicken feet, baked bbq pork bun, baked pineapple bun with custard filling, pan fried pork and vegetable buns, bean curd rolls, red rice roll, and stir fried rice noodles with beef. Everything was fresh and pretty lean, which is not always a given for dim sum. Everything was cooked well and had the right flavors. For the rice noodle dish, they used fresh rice noodles instead of dried, which makes a big difference. I must say, I wasn't a fan of the rice roll, since there were shiitake mushrooms all over inside, and the flavor permeated the whole thing (I hate mushrooms, especially those). The dim sum here is authentic, fresh, and tasty. The noodle dish we tried was also excellent. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good. I will definitely be back in the future!

We've passed by this joint plenty of times. Taking my husband back and forth to work at the hospital at 13 and Woodward. Only reason why we showed up is because we heard they were slinging Xiao Long Bao. If you haven't had XLB, it's one of the bestest dimsum food ever! Otherwise known as food dumplings, these guys are right at the top of the food chain as far as I'm concerned. So we're here now and we're ready to chow down. Chinese Broccoli: Pretty good,, we usually order these as a palette cleanser. Curried Baby Squid: I adore this plate. The ones served here I could order again and again. Definitely super strong. Bean Curd: Super yummy!! Perfect crunch texture of the tofu skin. Lovely sauce as well. She Mai: It's pretty good. My friend ordered this because she's hella basic, but at least I got to taste it and it was actually pretty good. Salt and Pepper Squid: This dish is one of the strongest dish we've had on the table. An explosion of flavors in my mouth. Xiao Long Bao: These guys are pretty good. It definitely works! I would totally order these over and over and over again. From what I know is that there's only two restaurants that serve XLB in the Metro Detroit area. This one, and the other is out in the farmlands. The other spot had me trying to make a reservation and required me to tell them what I want to eat so they can prepare it. Sound's like a lot of work, probably will never go to that one. This is also the reason why we're here. Convenience wins this round. A well deserving 4 stars for the food and service. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

In Michigan, there are not a lot of dim sum options, so when Wing Hong started serving dim sum, I got super excited! They are a little less expensive when compared to Shangri-La in West Bloomfield. Everything was fresh and tasty. Some of my favorites were the egg tarts, pan fried garlic chives dumpling, shrimp rice rolls, Chinese cruller rice rolls, shrimp kau, and bbq pork buns (baked & steamed). They definitely did not disappoint! This might be my new spot for dim sum.

Very little has changed here in the 50 or so years the restaurant has been open. Don't mess with what works.

I love this place, the staff is always so friendly and have often popped out with my take out to my car. I've come too early before and they've offered to let me sit in my car and they'd bring it out to me when I'm ready. That's service! The food is always fresh and flavorful. We love the pad Thai with tofu for the kids and we go back and forth with curries and noodle dishes ourselves. Spice level here is standard and you can get it on the side if you're so inclined which is nice to amp it up on your own terms. Crab rangoons are still the best here with the green onion really perking up the cream cheese inside. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes. The community know about this place now so wait times are a little closer to 25-30 min during peak dinner times so plan accordingly for take out. They do have a small indoor seating area with a couple tables and bar seating but this is mostly a take out restaurant. Enjoy!

While personally looking out for my nut allergy, which is what I always desired. A great Thai restaurant that is accommodating to their customers. The food never fails to be exactly what I ask for and delicious. Though I never had the luxury of eating inside the restaurant I can confidently say it wouldn't be bad experience. Thank you for going above and beyond! And your exceptional hospitality. It will always be appreciated.

I liked the question "what Spicy level do you want ... (mild/medium/spicy)" for each dish. Decent sized portions and tasty food. The many and varied Pad Thai plates beckoned and we tried the omlette Pad Thai which was delicious and piping hot. Chicken Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice also were pleasurable. The atmosphere is really casual - the layout is more of a cafe than a formal dining room. I would definitely return and with friends.

To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.
