This joint is one of my fave lunch spots that i stumbled upon one lunch break once upon a time about 6 months ago plus I love supporting local businesses specially if it's worthy of another visit. I returned once and once again for their fresh made wings you can literally see them toss the wings in the background. You can pick out from an assortment of Creole/Cajun dishes besides wings like boudin balls, fried fish and gumbo. The customer service is legit and they even hold up a genuine conversation with you. Walked in here on July 4th because I was looking for some chicken. A lot of the places around medical center were closed and this just happened to be one of the open ones. We had shared 30 wings and got to try a lot of the flavors: Lemon Pepper, Spicy Lemon Pepper, Original, Big Easy's Sweet Heat, and Southern Creole Fried. Off the bat, all of these are saucy wings and you won't get that crisp, except for the southern creole fried. The Lemon Peppers were ok, but I think it was too buttery. Original was too vinegary. The Sweet Heat was good, but I couldn't eat just that flavor. I think the best one was the Southern Creole Fried. Next time I would just ask for what their dry rubs are, if any. A lot of the reviews knock this place for service which is true. Good thing we were the only people in there and we couldn't really be ignored. The food does take a long time, especially since we were the only ones there and they had a huge crew in the back. But hey, the argument is always that its fresh. I will say that none of the people that came in after us got wings. To that point, I really enjoyed the dirty rice and gumbo. Maybe this place is more known for its creole food. tl;dr not good customer service. wings too saucy; ask for dry rub. Probably just stick to the menu that isn't wings. read more

Very good wings! I always get take out due to COVID but the wings are still crosby and hot when I get home. They have some of the best flavors I've had so far in the houston area. I've also tried their fried seafood. Very very good. The only complaint is they do not make their own cocktail or tarter sauce. And that's a must for me. Overall I cannot complain though. I really wanted to like wing quarter, but it's not for me. Good service, good drinks , but nasty wings. My wings tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil. They were out of shrimp, fish and all sides except fries. My boyfriend liked his wings. It could have been an off day so I would say try it for yourself. read more

Alright, I am new to Houston. I work at UH and have coworkers who introduced me to this place. Right off the bat, in all three times I have been here I've gotten to Fully-loaded Gumbo. Its delicious! It just hits the spot. The fried catfish is really good as well. So are the wings. I've had one of their frozen daiquiris and was really please with the size and taste. I will have to admit, my first two encounters there - the girls up front were rude and dismissive. The third time was a more pleasant experience. Overall I definitely will be here again. read more

My first visit was disappointing. I order wings, dirt rice and crawfish etouffee. Nothing was heated(room temperature) I order two favors of wings couldn't tell one favor from the other they both taste exactly the same. I liked it! I ordered the platter with shrimp and catfish. The catfish was excellent! The fish was boneless, moist, and breaded lightly. I did not need tartar sauce of anything. When i first walked in i noticed the decor on the wall and it looked amazing. I was the third person in line so i knew it was going to take a while. Well it was only one cashier and 1 cook and i really don't know what the other person was doing. Anyways i ordered the Canal street special that came with either french fry's or cajun rice, so i got the fry's i ordered around 12:22pm and didn't get out of there until after 1pm so that was a no go for me, but since i ordered extra muffins i had to wait on them, she also gave me 2 extra shrimp and 1 extra corn bread muffin, that kind of made up the time of me waiting. So let me back up, i've been craving shrimp since last night and my friend told me that the shrimp here is very good and so that's why i ended up here. Fast forward made it to my friend house and i was eating she shrimp and i can say that this will be the place i will be coming to when i be craving for shrimp. Tried the Atchafalaya Special today Catfish & Shrimp with Dirty Rice instead of fries. First time trying their Rice, it was great. The fish was cool. Had better, but still a good choice. Atmosphere was great, wasn't too crowded (2PM). Zydeco band was performing on their patio deck at 4PM, so as it got closer to that time, it was beginning to fill up. Parking is limited. Tonight I arrived at about 9:15pm. There was a long line, but the cashier moved at an ok pace. When it was time for me to order I ordered the spicy lemon pepper 10 piece wings and a high octane. I asked for ranch and the cashier said they were out, but had blue cheese. I asked for honey mustard and she said no but they had ketchup. I said no thanks so she offered a side of dipping sauce I said ok thanks. Their printer was not working so I had my receipt texted to me. I waited for a hour for cold wings! I was in such a rush to get to my husbands job for his lunch I didn't complain... especially because by now they were closed with a lot of people waiting. I asked for the dipping sauce and the cooks were very ugly to the young lady so I said I don't want it and left. They were out of fish, ranch, the daiquiri machine barely worked. Sad to say, but it's hard to support businesses who don't take criticism from paying customers. Secondly if you are the owner of this place please hire a new manager she don't understand customer service, without your business will not thrive. Now to the food I called in my order they texted me and I came in. I received my food then left . I got home and the 10 piece I ordered only had drummets , no flats. Then I got to the fries they must have just pulled them out of the icebox because they where super cold. I called back to the place and ask for the manager instead of her apologizing she came up with all the wrong things to say. "Well we cant control what wings Come in the bag , " " the season on the fries are cayenne and season salt." The fries are nasty. And cold and the wings are sub par. So if you ever have a taste for good wings or food or good customer service , This is not the place. I was being nice with the 1 star. I will not lie the food is the bomb. However these condiments are horrible the tartar sauce is gross they did not have ranch or cocktail sauce. They don't carry Louisiana hot sauce and the saltine crackers were stale. Nevertheless if you eat hear just take it home and use whatever condiments that available at your house. read more

I came for an event and I had the wings original hot bone in they were good i wouldn't come back for just wings. The Cajun fries were good ate more of those than the wings. Never got the celery sticks which supposedly came with my meal and neither did my friend.The fried fish was good also but I have had better. My friend didn't like the red beans and rice but thought the gumbo was a 3 out of 5. The daiquiris were pretty good also. The restaurant got hot after more people were in the small building. Then a young boy came to sell school chocolates and some one from the kitchen told him to "get your little ass out of here". Also my friend got 20 wings and they gave him 1 small 2oz cup of ranch then if he wanted extra 75¢ per cup.
