The environment was probably my favorite part, it was cold outside and as soon as you walk in you smell some amazing aromas and it was the perfect temperature. As soon as you walk in you stand in a long line and make an order at the register, then hopefully you can find you a seat and wait for them to call your NAME or NUMBER. I got a 5pc southern fried creole wings with a side of red beans, boudin with crackers. The food was pretty decent, I feel like I should've picked an actual flavor for my wings and I would've enjoyed them a lot more! The red beans had onions or like peppers in them and that was new to me... so it wasn't my favorite. The fries are perfect; I hope they never change the recipe. The wings are incredible with lots of flavor and fried just right. Get this-- the boudain balls are actually boudain and NOT dirty rice! The assortment of alcoholic beverages are also very good and strong-- you can even take them to-go. Now for the "bad": - Parking is sometimes horrendous. There's a lot of traffic in this parking lot due to the other yummy establishments, but, I believe they've purchased the lot next door so hopefully it gets better. - Unfortunately, their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. The employees are very dry and act like you owe them something. I've been here more than 10 times at various times/days and I'm never treated nicely. I've experienced some very petty and rude treatment here. If the owner wants to keep their doors swinging, they need to hire new staff. Do not "train" the current ones-- get new staff!!!!!!!! Preferably, former Chick-fil-A employees. - Operations need to be tweaked. The cashiers hold up the line and increase customer wait times by 15+ minutes at a time. I witnessed one cashier ring up indecisive customers for 10 minutes then proceed to make their "special " mixed drinks for another 10 minutes before even acknowledging other customers in the line that was nearing out the door. Several customers left in the process but I had already placed an order online. Owner, you lost about $200 in that 20 minute period smh. I'll start with the positive by stating that the cashier that took my order showed a great level of customer service. She was polite and more than willing to help me place my to-go order despite the fact that I couldn't makeup my mind. I finally decided on the Mardi Gras Special. Now to the downside. Parking far from the best but minor issue depending on the time you're going and how busy it is. Now the food- It was so-so. The dirty rice wasn't bad. However, the five parts of the wings I received were all flats/wingettes, not a single drumette. The flavor was lacking (Caribbean Delight). The gentleman that gave me my order said it was due to a lot of special orders. That shouldn't matter. Unless a person specifically makes a request to only receive a partial part of the wing, only. I also had to ask him for my celery and blue cheese. I got the blue cheese but no celery. In food service you need to have standards and consistency otherwise you'll set your business up for failure. I'm not a big fan of Wing Stop but if I had to compare I would eat their wings over Wings Quarters. Especially if I'm paying almost $10 for 5 pieces of wings and fries or dirty rice. Conclusion: I won't give them a second try. The first poor experience was enough. There are too many food places in Houston to eat at and more keeps popping up. Ahh Wing Quarter, you let me down this time. This isn't my first time at Wing Quarter, but it's my first time there during a busy Friday night rush crowd. I'm hoping that's the reason, although, not an excuse, but I hope that's the reason my good taste and looked so terrible on this visit. It was busy, packed, and a lot of stuff was going on. Maybe, hopefully, I just got the one bad order they had all night, but either way, I did not enjoy my food one bit. When I ordered they asked for my name and phone number to text me when my food was ready, a sign in the front said the food would be ready between 8-12 minutes... minutes passed, maybe 25, I left, went and picked food up from 2 other places, came back and still hadn't received a text. Went back inside and checked on my food, still hadn't been called. After a while they called my name, food looked to just be sitting there. The woman who called my name didn't even look towards me as I raised my ticket in the air, just walked off and started doing something else. I told the cashier that the woman had called my name, but didn't look up to bring the food and he told me I had to walk down the bar where people were sitting and eating and basically hover behind them to receive my order, even though I had seen him bring others their food to the front counter. When he opened the containers to show me the food, it looked dry and disgusting but I had already paid and had been waiting for what seemed like forever, and had other people's food in the car waiting so I just took the dry/sat out wings and hoped they would taste better than they looked. They definitely tasted and looked the same, disgusting. I didn't finish the first one, just threw them away. I tried to eat the green beans, and I don't know which was worse, I ate maybe 2 bites and got upset with myself for even trying, so those also went to the trash. I've eaten here once or twice before, the food isn't the best, but it's much better than I tasted tonight. Then I got to the fries they must have just pulled them out of the icebox because they where super cold. I called back to the place and ask for the manager instead of her apologizing she came up with all the wrong things to say. My husband and I joined our friend group for a birthday brunch this past Sunday. The drinks that were available were good. Waiter said the bar had limited drinks because they were short staffed. The food was sub par and it was disappointing for the restaurant to not have SPOONS or BOWLS, yet serving gumbo, among other things on the menu, that require those necessities. There are dollar stores on every corner that could've provided a solution for that. The outdoor setup would have been perfect had the music been on a level that you could maintain a conversation. It was either blasting loudly or not on at all. Those that worked the shift said the music was too loud for them to place orders inside the restaurant so they stopped it altogether. While searching for daiquiris this place was across the street from where I was. We got there (party of 6) around 945, not knowing they closed at 10. The girl at the front was extremely rude and was clearly annoyed at us, but when a dude came in after us ordering she was nice and friendly to him. We ordered at the counter and asked if we could eat it there and she informed us they would be closed by the time it was ready instead of asking us if we'd like to sit down when we first got there.
