Are here yesterday and did not like the food or the service. The lady at the cashier was rude! I asked for Wayer she said they Dont sell water. This was my first time at Wing Quarter. They have limited parking since they share the lot with other stores/restaurants. There is a gravel lot for extra parking. The restaurant is fairly small with extremely limited seating inside. They do have outdoor seating. If it's your first time, I advise reviewing the menu ahead of time. The staff struggled to answer my questions about the menu and I felt rushed. Also, when I checked in via the app, I received 50% off on 1 boudin ball, but the owner wouldn't honor it. She said they don't pay to be on Yelp and she isn't sure how I got the coupon. I was shocked. I've never had that happen where the manger/owner didn't honor the coupon. For my meal I had the garlic parmesan 8 piece bone in wings with macaroni and cheese. It cost more to have for bone in verses boneless. They don't tell you that there's a price difference. The order I got normally comes with dirty rice or fries. The wings were delicious. They were seasoned perfectly and the chicken was juicy and not dry. The macaroni and cheese was terrible. I couldn't even tell that it was actually mac & cheese. It tasted like just regular noodles. I was super excited thinking it was going to be full of cheese and flavor but that was not the case. I wanted to send it back, but didn't feel like they would do anything about it after my experience with the owner/manager. Even box mac & cheese is better. If you didn't understand let me share again do not get the mac & cheese. It was so disappointing and the owner or (maybe she was the other manager) was so rude that I will never go again. I had WQ cater an event two days after Christmas, which many will understand is a difficult task. They were very professional and worked with me to get exactly what I needed. They would have provided chafing dishes but I had those so we saved money by using mine. No problem at all! They arrived in a timely manner. The chicken salad sandwiches and wings were delicious. I love wings and was really craving it when I came here. A bit disappointed by the flavors we got as well as how the wings were cooked. My usual go to place is wing stop but I wanted to try something different. Even though the name is the wing quarter, it was interesting that my group was the only one in the restaurant who ordered the wings. Everyone else either had just the gumbo or the fried chicken. That's when I knew we made the wrong move in our choice of food here. My group of 3 got 30 wings (flavors: lemon pepper, spicy lemon pepper, southern creole, sweet heat, and original), a side of Cajun fries, gumbo, and dirty rice. The total including tip was $52 which was a bit pricey for my taste. I think th Cajun fries is worth getting. The rice was too mushy for me and the gumbo (while it was full of ingredients) was bland. Let's talk flavors: - lemon pepper/spicy lemon pepper: my first time having this flavor that was not dry rubbed. Honestly, both of them tasted the same to me. The sour lemon hits you really hard with each bite and then it just gets salty. Probably would have enjoyed it more if it was dry rubbed. - sweet heat: very sweet and lacked the heat. Tasted almost like a sweet bbq sauce, nothing special. - original: super vinegary. Regretted getting 10 of these as it was my least favorite. The sauce was watery, spicy in a way that makes your lips tingly (I love spicy food too), and my lips just puckered every time I ate it bc it was sour. - southern creole: my favorite even though it's just a regular fried chicken wing. Why yes, all the sauces :) I got the pork chops and fried fish (still trying to remain keto, people!), and glanced over at the drinks (oh my!). They were so tasty! I took that route and when I arrived my food was ready. The boneless wings were so big!! The sauce I got which was sweet & hot was so good! I loved the dirty rice which was very flavorful. I'm not a big fan of catfish but I decided to try it here. It was seasoned to perfection! You get 4 big pieces and fries. The portions are very big and can easily be shared. Stopped in last Sunday night right before closing to grab a few drinks to go. Bryson was working at the front counter and made a mistake, giving my partner the incorrect drink. Instead of apologizing for and correcting his mistake he had a horrible attitude with my partner and misgendered her intentionally because he was upset. She confronted him about it, asking his age and telling him that he was being immature and inappropriate. She is very chill and mild mannered. When she got back to the car she told me what happened so I called the store to get Bryson's name. After hanging up I get a call back and Bryson states my name which I'm assuming he got from the caller ID and asks why I needed his information. I let him know that it was my partner that he just disrespected and I would be contacting management. He apologized to me and explained his mistake because I let him know very frankly that his attitude and what he said was offensive and absolutely disrespectful. The wings were really good. I had the hot lemon pepper, a flavor that a lot of places don't serve. The service was friendly and fast, but I was disappointed to not be able to taste the dirty rice, because they were out. I will give them a pass because it's New Year's Eve, and a lot places weren't even open at that time. I had the Cajun fries instead. It's essentially French fries with seasoning salt (likely Tony Chachere's). I will likely return, and i would recommend others to visit. Oh, one more thing. Had the boudin balls from here the other day. They need to try again on those. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I recommend driving to Scott, La and going to Best Stop or Billy's, and attempt to recreate their flavor. That's how real authentic boudin should taste. I was told that the owners are from NOLA, which sort of explains why the boudin isn't that great. Boudin is a country thing. You're not gonna find the best boudin in NOLA; it's gonna be in places like Laffy, Opelousas (and other places in St. Landry parish), etc. Essentially, don't waste money on the boudin balls or links. Another patron informed me that they often run out of things. That means management may be poor, but that's merely an assumption. Hopefully, they are able to work that out.
