My three sisters and I came to Nacho Daddy on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. We were greeted and seated by a young woman wearing glasses named Melissa. I remembered her name because of the incredible kindness she showed us. When we arrived, we had a small handheld poster board with a picture of our grandfather, who recently passed away. Melissa smiled and said it was beautiful, then kindly asked about it. When I explained that it was my grandfather's birthday and we were there to celebrate his life, she asked for his name. After I told her his name was Charles, she offered her sincere condolences and made us feel so welcomed. A little while later, we suddenly heard the staff ring the bell and sing, "Happy Birthday, Charles," and they even sent over a drink in his honor. That simple act of kindness meant more than words can describe. My sisters and I were brought to tears. In a moment that could have been filled with sadness, Melissa and the staff made us feel seen, supported, and celebrated alongside our grandfather's memory. Melissa was such a huge part of making this experience unforgettable. Her compassion, thoughtfulness, and genuine kindness are exactly what hospitality should look like. Another recommendation is the cheeseburger nacho, an Americanized version with ground beef, bacon, cheddar, jack, queso, onions, tomato, and lettuce. The 'mini nachos' are perfectly sized for a light meal but if you're hungry, get the full size order which is huge and shareable. When it came time to pay our bill, our bank cards were temporarily unavailable due to a system outage. We had the money. This was not a financial issue. It was a technical one we were actively working to resolve. Instead of being given a moment, security surrounded our table and treated us as though we were attempting to leave without paying. We were not. We never attempted to leave. I want to note that a couple of the security members were actually kind and professional throughout. A manager then approached with immediate hostility white male, tattoos, wearing a white crop shirt, and beige pants) no introduction, and no interest in hearing our explanation. I want to Emphasize That everyone working there refused to give me his name (white male) I even attempted to ask him and he walked away. He made demeaning remarks about our finances and specifically told us that if we didn't pay, he would call the police and trespass us, but if we paid, he would not. We paid. My brother sent $30 via Zelle directly to a security staff member to settle the bill. It was paid in full. He called the police anyway. And trespassed us anyway. I had offered to leave my ID as collateral, leave card information on file, or return the next morning. Every offer was refused before we even got to that point. The responding officers acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate. His own staff was visibly uncomfortable. Unless you are prepared to be treated as a suspect over something completely outside your control, I would think twice before dining here.
