Garlic Parmesan Wings/Lemon Pepper ATL style
Giovanna V.

The wings here were pretty tasty! I love how they had kool-aid as a beverage. It's been a minute since I had some! The only reason I give this place four stars instead of five is because the Parmesan garlic sauce on top of the wings was a little overwhelming. Next time I'm in LA I'd come back if I'm caving wings. But I'll stick to other flavors as that sauce was a little too much on the creamy side. It gets really busy so just be aware of that.

6 Piece Wing Combo with the ATL special and Cajun fries. Very good. Wings were Very flavorful but a little salty to me.

Good food. I ordered online which was quick and easy. 6 pc combo with ATL special and Cajun fries. Ordered a kool Aid to drink. It wasn't as sweet as I'm used to but still good. Meal is a little pricey but I will go back on one of the special days.

Those who are familiar with LA, I drove from Wilshire and LaBrea to try these wings. What a waste of time and money! I ordered the 15-piece combo with the ATL Special, W2G Special, and Garlic Parmesan Fries. Everything was nasty. Adding to my dislike of the flavors, the wings were overcooked and dry. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were soggy and had entirely too much Parmesan. The Kool-Aid and Lemonade mix was good. I passed too many good chicken places to get to Wings 2 Go; I will not be returning. Oh, forgot to mention: most places give you carrots and celery sticks with the wings, and Blue Cheese dressing is an option. Wings 2 Go gave me three carrot sticks and ranch dressing; I would have preferred Blue Cheese dressing.

I tried for the first time today thru Uber Eats and got the 10 piece combo with Cajun Rub, Chile Limon, with fried rice as my side. The portion size was good and food was tasty. Order arrived in a reasonable time frame - I would order again .

The food is bomb!!!!!! I had the fried rice, lemon pepper chicken and the bbq jerk chicken. I am very picky so for me to give a review like this is very rare and usually I don't even eat chicken or anything fried but I must say this place will be my exception or my cheat day food outlet. I highly recommend this spot

As someone who loves chicken wings, these are some of the best I've had in a while. Perfectly cooked and sauced wings with delicious flavors. The standouts were the Wings2Go Special, ATL Special, and Jerk BBQ. If you're in the Inglewood area definitely check out Wings 2 Go.

I got the lemon pepper wings with fried rice. My husband got half lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan. They wings were cooked really crispy they way I like it. Way better than Wingstop and fire wings.

My brother discovered this place many years ago and we love ordering delivery. Our favorite wing flavor from here are the lemon pepper! This time we got 30 lemon pepper wings, Bacon and jalapeño Mac & cheese, a fried rice and Cajun fries. The service is always great and fast. It's a small place and we love it. Their ranch is also good.

If you're a wing lover, this place is a must! The wings are absolute fire -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just the right size. Not those overly huge, suspicious-looking wings, but real, quality ones. Out of their ~11 flavor options, my personal favorites are the Chili Lemon and ATL Special -- seriously addictive. They also serve a refreshing watermelon slushy that's the perfect pairing for spicy wings. Highly recommend grabbing one! I've tried the mac and cheese and rice here -- they're not really my thing, but I know plenty of people who love them. For me, the wings are the star of the show, and I'll definitely be coming back for more.

It's a little place, but the food is absolutely amazing. It was delicious fresh great customer service. probably the best wings I've had.

I've been looking for a good wing spot for a while now and I'm Happy to say that I've finally found one! The wings here are crispy but still maintain a delicious juicy tenderness without drying out. I will be back soley for the lemon pepper hot because ... WOW! I ordered a 10 piece combo with fried rice and everything was incredible. In my opinion the best wings in LA, but for sure in the South Bay ( if you consider Inglewood South Bay) the parking lot is small and so is the establishment but I ordered ahead so this wasn't an issue at all . Will be back soon.

Like many restaurants, they have had their ups and downs, but they are hanging on. We have bought the Family Special which is no longer a Sunday option, but on other days. For just under $50, we had a whole Baked Chicken, 3 sides and corn muffins. The Chicken is always well seasoned and cooked well. Our favorite sides are the Collard Greens, Yams and Black Eyed Peas. We had some friends and family over, so we purchased 2 Family Specials and some extra Corn Muffins. That was plenty for 7 adults and 2 children with a little leftovers. Although, we have had some negative experiences here previously, we still dine there by take-out mostly. The owner does listen to and reads reviews. That doesn't happen every.

Came here on a Friday for dinner around 6:15pm and were seated inside at a table right away. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The ambiance was nice, as well. That said, the food did not really live up to the hype. Particularly, the fried chicken was very dry. The baked chicken was quite a bit better, but the cornbread muffins were probably my favorite food item. If in the area, I'd still say this spot is worth checking out if you're curious. Just don't come in with super high expectations. Maybe we caught them on an off night.

Alright, it took me a second to gather my thoughts, but here it is…read more I came to Soul Food Shack with my expectations set squarely on the food. I was only in Cali for a short while, and this spot happened to be about 15 min down the street from where I was staying. Perfect location, and I was curious to see how Cali does soul food. From the first bite, it hit me Emotionally triggered as I was transported straight back to my childhood. It felt like I was sitting at the kitchen table in New Orleans, eating my nanny's candied yams, greens, macaroni, and fried chicken. The flavors had that deep, home-cooked love, that is not taken for granted or lost on me, so hats off to the cook! That kind of food doesn't just fill you up; it connects you,and to top it off, the drinks? Man, they serve that real deal kol-aid. The kind I used to drink as a kid. As I was eating, I started thinking about how food ties us to previous & future generations. It's wild how dishes once considered scraps i.e: greens, yams, cornbread, oxtails, are now sought out in restaurants just like this one. These meals are more than just food; they're stories of survival, resilience, and community. But I digress, I know y'all didn't come here for a history lesson in Black culture, so I'll leave it at that. Now, onto the standouts. The mac and cheese and yams? Easily the stars of the plate. I like my yams runny and solid, because I love mixing it with the cornbread. Sweet, savory, soft--that combo hits every time. The macaroni? Seasoned perfectly. Creamy, rich, and not bland like you sometimes get at other spots . That's rare, and I don't take it for granted. Overall, Soul Food Shack gave me more than just a good meal, it gave me a taste of home, miles away from where I grew up. If you're ever in Inglewood and need some food that feeds more than just your stomach, pull up, tap in, eat up.

Every bite had so many flavors, perfectly balanced, and the biscuit itself was insanely buttery and soft easily one of the best I've had in LA in a long time. The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.
