Horrible business practice of not seating parties of 8 together. We show up with cash and willing to wait for a table of 10 and this Genius Manager says he can't seat us. So we ask to sit outside in the patio and they say it's closed on a busy work day. We were ready to drop $300 on a party of 10, plus drinks and this horrible non tactful manager turns us away to go to another establishment. I'm happy to spend my money where they want it. read more

Someone once said, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone." These are simple words of wisdom that can describe Wings N More. We really enjoyed Wings N More while we lived in the Coastal Bend. The wings are among the best that we've had (and we've been all over) and the other things (e.g., fried dill pickles, onion strings, chicken fried steak, etc...) are really good. From what I understand, the wings at Wings N More are a hybrid wing that combine both Buffalo and Miami style wings. I would LOVE to find a Wings N More type of restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley! We do have a few wing restaurants (such as Wing Stop, SmokeEaters, BonChon, Von's, Jang Mo Jip, etc...), but they either offer Korean wings (very good...but not the same as typical American hot wings), greasy fried (Wing Stop) or just not as good as Wings N More (SmokeEaters, et al.). In addition to wings, it is difficult to find a chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken, onion strings and appetizers that you find at Wings N More. Each time we fly back to South Texas, we make sure to stop at Wings N More. Prior to our most recent trip, we read some negative reviews and heard criticism of the restaurant (since they moved to the new location), but we still gave it a chance. We were glad we did! I will say this: The new location lacks some of the charm of the old location. I miss seeing the college and pro flags/pennants all over the walls or the raised dining hall. It would be nice to see this location decorated with something distinct (even some local high school, Islander or Javelina gear on the walls). Like I said, you don't know what you've got until it's gone (or until you're gone -- it is true either way). Good hybrid hot wings, chicken fried steak, fried pickle chips and onion strings might be unknown or unavailable when you wander outside the confines of Texas (or area code 361). The wings were delicious. As I sit here in my hometown of Indianapolis, I find myself missing and thinking often about the parmesan garlic boneless wings. Love the food, but today wasn't the best experience. We were sat in the bar area and after sitting and ordering appetizers and drinks they informed us we were not allowed to wear "tank tops" in the bar area. We asked if we could in the regular area and he said yes. He stated it was the owners decision for this and that that was that. Once walking down the stairs the manager was looking at us and shaking his head as if we should of known. Since when can't a guy wear a sleeve less shirt in a bar area but okay in the family area. Ive gone here a few times just for the fried pickles, the best I've had around town I'd say. The wings could be better or meatier for my taste. If you want a meaty wing ironically chuck e cheeses has really decent buffalo wings. Wing n More though, has nice rib lets and chicken strips that are really great. they offer a nice big glass of sweet tea or beer helps wash it all down, standard drinks available as well. The environment is pretty cool and very sports bar-y, but not the best of its kind here. overall its worth a try if not for the fried pickles alone. read more

The only thing that saved the rating from getting two stars was the solid bleu cheese dressing for the wings. I had come back for the Buffalo shrimp appetizers.. I came with a group on a weekday. I love the service and atmosphere. after a short wait we got a table and our server, Ashli got our drinks quickly and brought the appetizers fast. She was very friendly and kept our drinks filled! To all, Wings n More in Corpus Christi My family and I received the worst customer service from Manager Jesus. We were asked to wait for about 30 minutes since we had a party of five and none were available at the time which of course we agreed. We were shocked to find out it was a table for four and not five which confused us and made us upset because we waited for a five. To ease the frustration, my sister asked to sit else where as no one was sitting there at the time and Jesus told us we couldn't sit there and if we wanted to wait for a five seat we would have to go back and wait. Mind you, no apology was provided, no solution, and he even walked away from us stating we were rude and he wasn't going to tolerate our rudeness. If we were rude, why did the party that was right behind us who didn't even know us defend us, and why did our waitress apologize to us multiple times? He walked away from us while we were talking TWICE!!! On top of that, the people behind us were just about to leave and offered their table to us but Jesus said "no because other people were waiting". I do not call that customer service nor do I call that a good manager. It was completely embarrassing going through that without resolution. To end, I'm sure he told all his staff what happened and they were giving us dirty looks as if we were low class people. Since I can't file a normal complaint through the owner as according to the lady at the front is unreachable, I felt it necessary to post this review. I have loved this place for years, the food is really good, really consistent. The atmosphere is nice to hang out with friends after work. Super fast service and everyone is always friendly. Then last night I wanted to go celebrate a promotion and they wanted to split up my party of 12. I asked if we could at least get tables next to each other and it was a big NO. Now I understand that large parties are a hassle and everyone wants separate tickets and its a mess. But, they wouldn't even try to accommodate us. Really disappointed. This is my first Yelp, so here we go. The location is convenient, but the parking lot is a little small. Some of the customers are parking out on the street. The service was courteous and prompt. Big smile when my order was taken. Our order was ready very quickly considering we ordered at a lunch hour of 1215. The place was not short of customers. My Wings were hot, my curly fries were nice and hot. My Ranch dip was nice and cold. And my Sweet tea was iced down. My only issue was that the wings were small. So small they became crunchy due to the lack of chicken when they were fried. I ate the ten wings and was craving a few more. Worst service received in years. Went to eat about a hour before closing and sat on the right side of the restaurant near the bathrooms. Our Server (Anna) took over 15 minutes to greet my wife and I. Once greeted we immediately placed our drinks and food order. Drinks came back incorrect (claimed no sweet tea in the restaurant). After close to 45 minutes our food was brought out by someone else, cold and with the wrong sauces. Anna did not come out to check couldn't find her or a manager to help. My wife went to the bathroom half way through the meal when she came back she explained to me it smelled of a awful smoke. Moments later our server came out from the same bathroom. Parking lot was full so it's normally a good indication the food is good. Not here. Started off with the wait staff passing by several times before our drink order was done. And even that was mixed up. Ordered the appetizer fried mushrooms. They were ok. Nothing special. Then we order our meal. Chicken fried steak was so tuff the knife wouldn't cut it. Flavor! Didn't exist not even the gravy. Fries as a side. Stale. Semi warm. Waitress never once came back to ask about the meal till she brought the check. Called in an order and was told they could not start the order until I was in the parking lot. Not a big deal, I get there and there is NO PARKING ANYWHERE, so I call them to let them know I'm in the parking lot but trying to find a space (this way they can start on my food). I'm told I have to either come in or wait for their take out spaces to be available. There was a line for the take out spaces. I don't mind trying to find parking out in the street as long as I know I'm just going inside to pay and get my food by the time I get there, but the fact I would have to find parking somewhere out in the street or across the street at the gas station before I walk inside so they could start the food is ridiculous. Last time I was there I had been ignored by the server for 15 minutes before I walked out, which is why I thought ordering take out might be a better choice. Not the case.
