Sweet baby j wings and wedges

Wow!!! I've never had wings this good! They use organic chicken and no seed oils. You can definitely taste the difference. The owner told me he brines the wings for 12 hours - and man, you can really taste the depth of flavor. I love all the flavors, and even straight up with no sauce is delicious. The Magic sauce is my favorite - salty, sweet and a little spicy. I'm not usually big on fries or potatoes but these wedges are on another level. Crispy outside with a creamy inside. I'm definitely coming back again and again!!

Excellent wings and gluten free! The owner is fantastic! Will come back for more. The dry rub is my favorite with blue cheese or ranch

Bottom Line Up Front: If you love mala (the numbing and…read morespicy seasoning derived from Sichuan peppercorn and chili peppers), Six Alley will deliver the heat! The Food: As its name denotes, Six Alley Xi'an Biang Biang Noodle specializes in noodles, which is handcrafted in house. Ironically enough, I decided to have one of their burgers instead because that's such an unusual option. Though, I can attest that the noodles are delicious after having a taste of my friend's noodles. Now, back to my burger. I ordered the Cumin Beef RoujiaMo, which is stir-fried beef mixed with cumin and chilies and served on a crispy flatbread. It's listed on the menu under Asian burgers, which is actually inaccurate. After all, there's no lettuce, tomato, mayo, or any condiments that one would come to expect from a burger. It's more accurate to call it a "Chinese sandwich," which would help set the right expectations. Semantics aside, the Cumin Beef RoujiaMo was tasty. The meat was tender and the flatbread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I quite enjoyed it. Just note, it is spicy! I asked the server how spicy and she said, "Mild." That's "Asian chili-lover mild," folks, not western mild. By American standards, it's more of a medium spice level. The Location: It's located in a small strip mall off MacArthur Boulevard near the 55 Freeway. It's not difficult to find, but it is difficult to find parking -- especially during peak hours on the weekend. To make matters worse, the parking stalls themselves are narrow. If you normally drive a large truck or a wide SUV, consider taking a sedan or smaller vehicle if you have one. The Service: For an Asian establishment, the customer service was surprisingly solid. I say this as an Asian myself; old-school Chinese restaurants are known for having employees with non-existent customer service. But this crew was young and understood that being friendly was essential for western restaurants. The staff didn't check up on us or offer exceptional service, but they were accommodating and knowledgeable when whenever I flagged them down. The Setting: Even though it's a smallish-medium restaurant, there's a decent amount of tables to accommodate a decent number of people at one time. It's clean and nicely decorated. However, the bathroom was another story. Sure, it had soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, but the back of the faucet was coming apart due to corrosion and it looked like the toilet bowl hadn't been scrubbed in months. Overall, a shocking sight considering how tidy the dining area was. The Conclusion: If you love spicy Chinese food, you'll love Six Alley. While I don't, the dish I had and the customer service was good enough for me to want to go back and try some of the other dishes. It was an enjoyable experience overall.

Last time I came here, they were completely sold out, so I knew I had to come back and try it again…read moreand it definitely did not disappoint. Be prepared for a wait anywhere from 20-40 minutes, but it's honestly worth it. I ordered the 10-piece banh khot, and the portion size was huge! The banh khot was crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and had such a good savory flavor with the perfect crunch. The inside is super cute and simple, though probably better for smaller groups rather than big parties. Overall, such a good experience and absolutely worth the wait! Would definitely come again!!

3.5 but the owner 10 stars!…read more I've had Banh khot lady on my hit list for a very long time. Somehow I stumbled upon Banh khot Vung tau first and it's hard not to compare the differences, hence the 3 rating. I'm not in HB/Westminster/FV/GG area that often. I'm usually there once a month for a pedicure. So after my pedicure my cravings always hit for Banh khot or Banh cuon or Spring rolls .If I can have all 3 at once that would be my death row meal LOL. Anywho I wanted my Vung tau, I came in an hr before closing and the owner had a sign out the door about closing an hr earlier for his daughter's birthday, which I respect wholeheartedly. I was going to go home defeated but I was like oh yea let me try Banh khot Lady ! It was only a mile and a half away. I pull up and my Lord the parking lot is a clusterf*ck. School was out so trying to pull in with the herd of teens crossing was overwhelming, somehow I got the last space right up front. It was Banh khot Wednesday so they were busy as hell!!!! The owner asked if I had a pick up order, I didn't, then he asked if I ever been there, also no. He broke it down, very straightforward menu. He had personality plus was so awesome to everyone coming in. I ordered 9 banh khots , a five piece egg roll and a bag of Chicarron. Wait wasn't too long for me but after it was for others placing their order right there. Fantastic timing on my part. I was starving so I opened the bag of chicarron and OMG CRAAAAACK!!!! I couldn't stop eating them. I had to force myself to stop so I didn't get sick. These were small crackling type pieces, not big puffed chicarron like a liquor store pork rind. I'd totally get it again! 10 stars! Got home, cracked open the Banh khot, I tried one naked without the lettuce mint cilantro fish sauce. Their Banh khot is drastically different than Vung. BKL banh khot were shrimp and pork together. The batter was thick like a mini pancake and spongy, a tad bland. I was too spoiled with Vungs banh khot, their BK are thin and crispy, like a delicious crispy shrimp crepe and lots of green onions and crack pepper sauce along with fish sauce. BKL could definitely use a pepper sauce and go heavy handed with the green onion to top. The texture just wasn't for me. Now the egg rolls! Those were damn delicious!!! Packed with protein. So good with wrapping them with the lettuce mix you're given. Dipped in fish sauce and added Sambal oelek , perfect bite! I'd easily come back for these! I'll definitely come back to BKL, for those addicting chicarrons and egg rolls and fantastic service. I'll get my BK at Vung and head over to BKL for the egg rolls LOL. Kill two birds with one stone. Don't be discouraged on trying their BKs , we all have different tastes. Texture and comparisons really weigh my judgment :)

I ordered the Pork Red Chile and Bean and Cheese with Rajas tamales, while my boyfriend chose the Chik'n Green Chile and Spinach and Crema tamales. We both tasted each other's dishes. My favorite was the Bean and Cheese tamale, and his was the Spinach and Crema. The restaurant's interior was clean and unassuming, with lively music at a pleasant volume. The highlight of our visit was Jordan, who took our order and served us at the front. I would describe him as exuberant and genuine. His friendliness really made an impression on us, and he clearly knew the menu well, helping us make our selections. Everything looked too good to resist. If you have the chance, definitely come here. I have never encountered a place like it before, and the vegan tamales are a unique find that I haven't seen anywhere else.

The tamales were incredible -- the masa was so moist and flavorful and the fillings were SO good. My personal favorite was the spinach but they were all winners for me. I had the three loaded option and I loved the very generous toppings too! We also loved our conchas (we tried the strawberry and chocolate) and drinks. My jamaica was perfect, and I have to recommend the horchata especially (which my partner opted for), since it's the best vegan one I've ever had! I also have to say that the people at the counter were incredibly accommodating and kind. They were all so patient and helpful with questions anyone had (including other parties who came in) and really understanding about helping with seating arrangements -- it's a smaller space and we had a party of 4, with me in a wheelchair. I wish every restaurant I went to made me feel as welcome as I did here! I can't recommend Shane's enough, so please go and give them your love and support, and eat some incredible food!
