While the food may be good, I would caution anyone from this location as it is extremely poorly managed and run by people who clearly care nothing about the community. I was there this evening, the lot was full and a car parked poorly that caused everyone to shift over. I went in, paid for my order which was not ready, I went back to my car to move it, when another person pulled up on top of my bumper, called me a foul name and spat on me.....All in front of the store manager who did nothing, but help the other person carry his food order out to his car. I went back in and said I would not do business with them and wanted my money refunded, they refused. I asked for the the store manager, who turned out to be the same person who saw the altercation and did nothing, I asked for his manager and/or the store owner and was refused. Had my dog not been in the car I would still be there battling this because it is WRONG! This is not courtesy, it is not right, how many of you would allow someone to spit on your family member, call them names, and just do nothing. As I was writing this someone named Ben, called from the 773 area code and claimed the party at the store who claimed to be the manager was not and that the store, has no responsibility for what occurs in the parking lot, even though it happened directly in front of their window and the party who lied claiming to be the manager, came out of the store to help the other person with his order. We walked on here for the first time today and my son was contemplating the garlic Parmesan wings. The cashier have him a boneless wing to try. He didn't like it so we ended up getting mild and hickory smoked BBQ wings. OMG! They were so good. They brought the wings to our table too which was nice. It was 2:30 in the afternoon so it's slow here - but still really nice of them! There are about 10 4top tables and a couple 2 tops- from the outside it does look like a carryout joint. There are three TVs mounted and good music playing at the right volume so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. :) read more

Ordered online, classic wings which is bone in. When I got home one of the orders was all boneless. Not sure how they had mistaken the order when they received the order online and it states it clearly. It was too late to go back...it's a drive to go there. Did not enjoy my meal. The sauce selection is lighter than some places but 9 styles should be enough for most. I got BBQ and Hawaiian and really liked them both. The potato salad was average at best, still it did the job. I live nearby and have passed this place 100 times. I'm not a big wing fan, but decided to try a chicken tender basket. Service was good, and I got the chicken, fries and a drink for just under $10. It is not fast (I waited about 10 minutes.) The food was good - fries were a little soggy by the time I got home 5 minutes later, but their ranch dressing is divine. One weird thing was that they put your fries in a basket, with no lid for to-go orders. So, it's awkward carrying the bag out because the fries aren't contained. I just thought that was weird. Probably my favorite wing place around the wings are always hot crispy and the sauces are so good! They give u lots of celery and carrots and their ranch and sides are Awesome! Tried Wingstop for the first time today because Franks for the Memories (our "go to" wings place was closed). Based on prior reviews, we must have caught Wingstop on a good day or they have improved their service. Our online order was ready on time and hot, service was courteous. We tried three flavors; mild, BBQ, and mesquite. Mild and BBQ were tasty and juicy. Mesquite was good by slightly drier tasting. We noticed that Wingstop's wings are meatier than Franks. We still love Franks but Wingstop is worth a try for wings if they can maintain consistency like Franks. read more

I wish there was an option for no stars because this is by far the worst wing stop I have ever been to. The customer service sucks here! My husband and I visited this location for customer appreciation day, the flyer simply states five traditional wings per customer for free from 5pm - 9pm the fake manager refused to give us the deal he said its one order per group we told him that's not what the flyer says he refuse to give us what we deserve as customers. We have spent hundreds of dollars at this location, I simply asked the fake manager his name he refused to give us his name, he claim he has no name and that he was doing us a favor by giving us free wings. The man went as far as threatening to call the cops on us, simply because we told him that's not what the flyer states. He grabbed a group of flyers and put them in my face, this was so childish and unethical on his behalf. This is ridiculous and we are highly offended. There's NO way any person should be treated like this at a restaurant EVER. We will not be spending any more money with this corporation. After so many years of great service/food at the niles location we were extremely excited When this wingstop reopened. The wings and fries were cooked to perfection and the customer service was excellent which was why my wife and I were in there sometimes twice a week but.......roughly 3 months after they reopened things started to go down hill and our orders and the customer service were never the same. The fries were either burned to a crisp or cold with no seasoning, and the wings were dry and over cooked or boneless when we ordered traditional. The staff seems like they love to argue with you about the order instead of being apologetic and making things right. My husband and I love the wings at here, even better than BWW. However, the service is getting worse and worse. The wings are still very awesome it is the extras that seems to have fallen by the wayside. When asking for light fry seasoning, they appear to have put extra to the point where we could not even eat them. Very good wings, great variety of sauces. I stopped by this joint as its close to the parents house. It is admittedly pretty balsy for any wing place to open up a location in Mundelein since Frank's dominates the Buffalo wing market in these parts (and for a good reason). But I thought I'd give the place a chance. This is a franchised chain, but they do the chicken right I admit. All wings are fried the same, no coating or batter. They are frying the wings right though, they are still moist but crispy without over drying, the wings are fried per order and are not sitting around getting cool or dried out. The nice thing about wing stop is they have at least nine types of sauces. I tried hawian, hot, garlic parm, and lemon pepper. They are all good. I'd still have to say that Franks still has the number one Buffalo wing recipe in the area (probably the country), but Wingstop sauce is very good, I'd call it fairly even in taste with BW-3s. But wingstop does have all those other sauces and they are very good. In particular I enjoyed the Lemon Pepper. Hawaiian is good if you are looking for a sweet flavored wing and garlic parm is pretty self explanatory. For the perfect cookedness of the wing and quality control as far as frying them per order I give this place the highest marks. The storefront itself looks relatively plain in its little strip mall, but its surprising roomy inside, and while sort of corporate-chipoltish, its not a bad place to eat in if you desire. Fries are good and fresh, mine were sort of salty though. Value is pretty good and prices are reasonable for portion size. Since this place does nothing wrong 5 stars. read more

I'm so upset at Mundelein's Wing Stop. ! Be careful when ordering food there. They just tried to have me pay for an order they messed up on. I'm so hurt since this is one of our favorite places to eat wings at, until I ran into Jay the manager there.......I called to order 30 traditional wings as usual . When picking up the order, Jay said "you are here to pick up 30 boneless wings?" I said "No" I ordered "30 wings with bones." He said no you didn't, I took the order "and began arguing with me. I said "obviously it was a misunderstanding. But I do remember the person I talked to over the phone had a very soft voice and I could barely hear him. An employee approached my husband and said that he is willing to correct the order and it will take 12 minutes. We said "that is perfect!"as he walked back to fix the order the manager yells at him not to do it until we pay for the 30 boneless wings and continued to insist we pay in front of another customer and Really why would I pay FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT ORDER. When wing stop first opened it was our go to place for wings. Now we have noticed a significant change in both customer service and the food. The change is definitely not for the better. Every time I call to make an order I feel like I'm talking to some kid who has absolutely no clue what they are doing, in the time that it takes for me to order my food on the phone I could drive over to wingstop order my food have it cooked and be home. There is always a new person working when we go to pick our food up. I believe that says a great deal for what type of place this is, that they can't keep their employees. This last time not only did they forget our dipping sauces but still charge us for it but the kids working behind the counter were eating the chicken. We actually saw them eat a chicken wing and then throw half of it out. If that isn't gross I don't know what is. I think I've seen enough. read more

I usually love the wings from here... But the employee who was closing Monday night 2/3/14 was a complete lazy, douchey employee. It was 10:40 and I called to ask to place an order for take-out. His response was "sorry we're closing up." Um, you're open til 11, but I said ok and hung up. I was already driving towards wing stop and was literally only about 3 min away. So I decided to stop in to maybe get a different answer. After asking for 1 order of wings, he proceeded to tell me he could only do boneless. I personally don't like boneless so I asked why, his response of course was "they cook faster, we're closing soon." First of all, it was 10:45, they're open til 11:00. Second, the fryers weren't being used or cleaned. Third, how long do wings take? Honestly, maybe 6 min? Then you put it in a bowl and toss it w hot sauce, how hard is that? Doesn't even hardly make any mess. I've worked in restaurants my whole life, I know what it's like to get a table when the restaurant closes in 10 min. But then they stay for 40 minutes. From start to finish, wings should take a max of 10 min. If you hate ur job, then quit. read more

Very inconsistent. Different staff working every time I've been there. A few times the wings have been great. Very crispy and meaty. I especially like the lemon pepper. Other times wings were so fatty i couldn't eat them. Fries are over seasoned. They charge you $1 for veggies which are inedible. Once i watched a member of the staff eat fries that were on the counter and it so happened they were actually my order of fries that she put into the bag and handed to me. Another time i found a hair in the wing sauce. The location and online ordering is ideal and convenient but i will no longer be ordering from here until management makes some changes. Seriously the WORST wing stop I've ever been to. This specific location needs to do a complete staff turnover. I have experienced some of the rudest, unapologetic customer service from the crew in Mundelein that I will no longer eat wing stop unless I am driving through another town and see one. I've given 3 or 4 chances now, and I'm still amazed at how the easiest things are missed. Twice I've had online orders not even started until I walked in and told them they had one... Once I've called and instead of listening to my order the employee just interrupts with a "yeah how many do you want all together man?"..... Another time they forgot all of the ranch dressings for my family's order even tho we ordered extra and paid for it.... And another time they stacked 6 boxes on top of each other in one bag instead of splitting them into 2 bags, which left them spilling over the oily hot sauce on my front seat..... I love wing stop, but this store really doesn't have it together at all. It's really not that hard... Nice smiling faces that can speak in a respectable manner, good quality products, and a clean establishment..... That's what it takes. Wingstop is my go-to place. I come to the Mundelein location all the time. I went last night ordered my original 6 piece boneless combo all Louisiana rub. I used to work at Wingstop in Tinley Park so I know how things go behind the counter. I got my order last night & my wings were barely coated with any of the Louisiana sauce, it was just straight dry seasoning on it. When I brought it to the counter the "'manager" was arguing with me that Louisiana rub is just a pure dry rub and they don't make them "wet" unless ordered that way. My wings still should have had some sort of wetness without ordering that way, and they were COMPLETELY DRY, with just the "dry rub" on it. I waited an extra ten minutes for him to remake my wings which I didn't ask for that, I just wanted the Louisiana sauce put on there, tossed in the bowl and handed right back. it was completely ridiculous. read more
