Me and my boyfriend love to come here we always order online or over the phone. Unfortunately , even though the wings are delicious (original hot to be exact) the wings have been dry several times as if they over cooked them. Ok, so I came in with the forewarning that getting your order might take some time. This wasn't going to be a problem for me. But I obviously had concerns about the taste factor. I wasn't going to lose sleep if it turned out that their chicken was on the lame end of the taste spectrum. The reviews have been more on the plus side, but, as you know, nothing is more convincing then trying it yourself. So I hauled my bootie for my first visit here, and I walked away impressed. The hardest part of this experience was having to choose which wings to go with. Here's an idea of what my dilemma was like: Wing Flavors: (as written on the menu) -Atomic ("The name says it all.") -Cajun ("Original Hot with a little zip on the lip.") -Original Hot ("This is it! Our original recipe for hot wings tha made us famous.) -Mild ("For those who want the flavor, without all the fireworks.") -Hickory Smoked BBQ ("Bold with a little KICK.") -Lemon Pepper ("A zesty favorite from coast to coast.") -Garlic Parmesan ("A great blend of flavors, worth wrecking your breath for.") -Hawaiian ("Sweet and tangy. By the way, I don't like eating my wings with dipping sauces. It detracts from the flavor, in my opinion. Unless you're getting the original wings, why dip? Anyway, a concern brought up by one of the previous reviewers of the place was that they charge for their dipping sauce. I'm not sure if that's not considered standard, but I ordered the combo: 10 wings, side of fries, and medium drink -for- $8.99. I wasn't looking to get fries, but noticed it was a good deal, so I took the plunge. When you order the combo, you get FREE dipping sauce. So it seems like the way to go, if you don't mind dropping a little extra money to get the fries and drink (plus free dipping sauce). Wow, I know this is supposed to be a review on their wings, but let me tell you, their fries may be the best fries in Santa Clarita...bar none. They're thick cut, but not fat like Tommy's, and their seasoning is perfect. My highest rating is being given to Wing Stop, because it's a great place to eat with a bunch of friends. Albeit somewhat small in size, the atmosphere is conducive for a lot of talking, and drinking. They have a decent size selection of beer, which is great. Maybe they ought to incorporate a beer-battered hot wing? And, lastly, I couldn't bother giving a 5-star review to a chicken place if their chicken falters in the taste department. These fools definitely sprinkle a little crack on everything. Everyone tells me Wingstop is the new hip fast food joint so I decided to try it out. I had garlic parm and the original with fries the first time around. They're absolutely great. They're meaty, cooked, and they're nice and hot! Not that fatty tastes like it's been frozen for a week kind of deal. The fries obviously have sugar and a few other spices, and it's a real treat compared to your average joe burger fries. Dipped in ranch it's to die for (probably not that healthy for you either). And here is a fair warning: I thought the original wings were weak sauce on the spice level. They don't really have that many levels of hotness so I said "F!@# that weak sauce original stuff, I'm going for the atomic." Bad. Idea. Seriously, I had terrible case of fire-butt for 24 hours. And not the "Man I ate some spicy food last night" it was more like "Holy fuck I think I am giving birth to satan himself out of my asshole." I ate two atomic wings before I just had to call it quits. I probably could've done 4 MAX but I already knew from the way my lips were burning that it was not going to be a good idea. They give fair warning, but not enough warning. That shit was hot. Other than my bad decision to get atomic wings this last time. I highly recommend you just TRY this place. A combo is like $7-10. Wings are decent for the price. I really like the garlic parmesan bone in wings well done. They charge you for sauces which should come with an order of wings but ok...you want to maximize profit. That's fine. I usually call in my orders so I can avoid a wait. Sadly...90% of the time, they underestimate the time and you end up waiting. I get it. Everyone gets busy from time to time. Just give us realistic time frames instead of telling us what "your manager" tells you to tell us and we'll all be ok with it because it's an accurate estimate. 5-10 minute extra wait - inconvenient but bearable...things happen. 10-20 minute extra wait - completely unacceptable in my opinion. If you like hot wings, and are in the SCV, this is place to get them. I usually eat in the restaurant and can say that they do a brisk take-out business. I'm a big fan of the Atomic-flavor. It will kill you. Seriously. The Original Hot are really good too and have that sharp vinegar (not salty) taste that all good hot wing sauces have. The Cajun is pretty good too. Cool off your tongue with the Hickory BBQ. (BTW, if you're ordering the Mild, why are you here?) It is open late (until 12am) which is great when you have to eat late. I think logic would dictate that you don't get a craving for chicken wings less than four hours before the start of the Super Bowl. But it wasn't my craving and for those of you who are married, I'll leave it at that. When we arrived, the line was 10 deep until they announced new orders wouldn't be ready for at least an hour which nicely moved us up to the front of the line! Not leaving us much time to decide, we quickly went with the 40-wing "family pack" with BBQ, Hawaiian and Louisiana Rub as the flavors which came with fries, carrots and celery. We each ended up having our favorites and for the four of us went through these much quicker than expected, making a mental note that we're getting the larger size next time. Well, what did I expect eHH? I went on a Friday night. I think it's the cashier's job to at least greet you when you walk in. I understand they had a hefty order on the way but at least greet the customer standing at the register and that you'll be right with them. If you acknowledge that the customer is there, trust me, you'll be less anxious as an employee there if your customer is acknowledged. I was not greeted at all, but ignored until someone from the very back finally noticed me standing there after FIVE minutes and she jes stood at the register looking at me to place my order. With that out of the way, I actually did not order the wings. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Strips MEDIUM spice with fries and a drink (Some sort of meal deal). Cost $7! I think that should include veggies, but it does not. Waited FIFTEEN minutes for my food. Food tasted like Carl's Jr. chicken strips with a hot sauce over it. The chicken was a bit dry and the fries just a little too soggy. I believe if put sauce over your chicken, it should cover the entire thing and it should not taste dry or bready. I had been wanting to try this place, I love chicken wings and waited for a night that I needed something quick and could afford to eat the extra calories. They could not offer any recommendations as to what was good. I opted for a family pack, which promised to feed 3-5 people and included 3 flavor choices. I opted for a garlic Parmesan, honey bbq and mild since I was feeding my 2 boys as well as myself. The wings were very scrawny. For a place the serves almost nothing but wings I would have thought they had a better supplier. Everything was tasty though, and the mild was truly mild. You would be better off with the original or cajun. The family meal included carrots and celery, though they actually sliced up the celery stalks down the middle and even then only gave me 5 small carrot sticks and 5 partial celery pieces. The fries were very good, I think they put sugar on them which paired with the wings nicely. In the end, the 3-5 people the meal promised to serve barely served me and my two young boys. The prices on the beers are under $4 a beverage. This is kind of important when it comes to a certain kind of customer. Myself being one of them. Lets break down the quality of the wings. The flavored seasonings for the wings are in the many, I would have to say that I recall at least 10+ different options of flavors. Bone in, Bone out, depending on what the customer prefers. Now comparing these wings to the wings that I express much love for are the Hooters chicken wings. Wing Stop. Wing Stop. What can I say. I really love love love wings but it's a hit or miss when you come to wing stop. Sometimes theres good service other times the workers are running around like chickens with the head cut off trying to handle the massive amounts of customers. However, a few things are difficult about this wingstop: There usually not ever enough sauce on my wings :( For 16 bucks I need my sauces right and I don't want to add dipping sauce. They run out of ketchup often and it take like 10 minutes for them to refill it. Final Conclusions: I prefer to get Original Hot and Garlic Parm! I ordered on the website and they charged me but then they said they never received my order and couldn't refund the money to me. I'm talking $35, the owner said there was nothing he could do for me at all. I literally have the bank statement and it says they accepted my transaction but they refuse to give me my money back then tried to charge me again for the order. Are you kidding me? This location is better than the one in Canyon Country one, though. Update: My boyfriend and I ordered a 15 piece combo, OG Hot and Hawaiian. I am not a huge fan of spice, hence my Hawaiian flavor. After waiting an abnormal amount of time, I finally got my food and came home. To my surprise and utter annoyance, they didn't give me Hawaiian. They gave me MANGO HABANERO. What the! That is extremely spicy! I'm glad this didn't happen to a small child or someone super sensitive to heat. I was pretty pissed, to say the least. After trying to call and complain, no one answered the phone after two tries. I basically spent $20 on 7 OG Hot wings, fries and two drinks.
