I think this Wingstop over the years got off to a bad start. I definitely don't believe it's a 2 out of 5 (at the time of this review). They have been on time with my door dash and pickup orders, and are helpful and hard working. The wings are great, big portions. Only gripe is their atomic wings don't taste very fresh and the sauce has been overwhelming lately. Other than that it's a good amount of food for what you pay. I called and spoke with Josh who was honest and said he didn't know how to refund my missing items and offered to write my name down for "food next time" I come or speak to his "GM later." I read an article the early morning of July 29th that it was national wings day. I felt inspired and motivated when I found out that they were offering 5 free wings with any order, so I ordered that immediately for my lunch hour I had planned after 1. I drove over there and got my wings and they seemed okay. My free wings were absolutely DOUSED in hot sauce compared to the wings I had paid for which I thought was weird, but it did not stop me....unfortunately. About an hour later I felt brain fog and an hour after that I had to lay down. About 30 minutes later, I had uncontrollable diarrhea and about 30 minutes after that I threw up so violently that I could not make it to my toilet in time and managed to spray vomit all over the walls of my bathroom. The remaining night, I was in so much aching pain and with fever - shivering and sweating all night - it was unbearable. It has been 3 days and I still am not 100%. So if you are looking for an adventure in Wichita Falls, go to Wingstop. I know what you are thinking. How could I know it was this that made me sick? Wingstop was good as usual food wise but service was horrible! Specifically the cashier, Willis. He was super rude and acted like this was it was the worst day of his life. He did not say one polite thing to me or my boyfriend. He acted like we should know the menu and the rules of "showing a license when using a debit card" (which is required here). This was the worst service I have ever gotten from a restaurant and I've been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years! They neglected to inform us that wings we ordered we no longer available when we ordered. When we arrived to pick up the order they TOOK OUR MONEY, then began to COOK what we had ordered 45 minutes earlier. The worst Wingstop my wife and I have ever been to. The first time my wife and I went we waited on our food for nearly an hour. There was hardly anyone in the place. The manager walks to the door and said that he was locking up the store because he had to go pay his kid's child support. Seriously?! He had us tell a cook to unlock the door when we were ready to leave. When we got our food, the fries were cold and the wings were under-cooked. The second time my wife and I tried to go in a lady with long nails was standing over the deep fryer and was scratching her head over the deep fryers. Disgusting and filthy! Before moving to Wichita Falls, TX, my wife and I lived in Abilene, TX. The Wingstop in Abilene always kept a clean facility, were always friendly and respectful, and always had our food in a reasonable amount of time. The Wingstop in Wichita Falls is absolutely pitiful and should be #1 be moved to a better location; #2 hire all brand new employees who know what they heck they are doing; #3 learn how to cook food; and #4 learn some customer service skills. read more
