The Wingz operational model is very convenient for the client. Scheduling ahead and being connected to ones driver in order to work out the details is great. Problem is that some drivers are not reliable. We suffered the stress and anxiety of having a no-show driver that could not be reached by phone by either us or a Wingz representative. Of course no other driver was available. We really had to scramble at 6 am to find alternative transportation, which turned out to be very expensive. Wingz gave us partial financial compensation for the alternative but full compensation is "not its policy." Wingz needs to have fairly severe negative consequences for unreliable drivers. Undoubtedly, the cost would need to be higher for reliable service but reliability is absolutely essential. I have noticed numerous other reviews of clients suffering similar and other difficulties with Wingz drivers. read more

My first experience was Wingz was amazing, but the last two have been the pits. One time, they couldn't find a driver from SF to SFO, but let me know right away. This very morning, after promising via email that I was all set, they were a no-show. I didn't get their "oh, sorry" email until I checked this morning at 5:00 A.M.! We were fully expecting to meet our car at 5:15 in Sausalito to go to SFO, but once again, screwed! If Wingz can't entice enough drivers to start to compete in this market, they should get the sorry-ass executives to show up in their cars to make it happen! Or send a competitors town car! We used Wingz for the first time, because of a recommendation from a couple we met when we were leaving for Europe, May 10th of 2019. I called, and set it up, before we left. We were gone 7 weeks. a couple days before our arrival, we got an update from our driver, John Lopez, and kept getting updates, til we finally found him at Austin Bergstrom, which changed their pickup policy, that we didn't know about, and we had to take a tram, and walk 200 yards to find him. A stupid policy by ABIA. John was very nice, and helpful. We were beat, and was very glad for the help. I do think they are a little pricey compared to Uber, which was about half of Wingz, but him being there waiting, even with the stupid ABIA policy, was a big help. Best car service ever! We live on the coast where no cab wants to treat. Last cab to SFO cost $80.00 - with Wingz we got: confirmation email from our driver the day before, very nice and on-time driver at 5am, safe transit to SFO in a clean car, AND all this for $35.00!!! This time, I had to leave at 4a for a SFO flight, so I heard of Wingz and gave them a try. It's so great to schedule a ride and at a substantial discount over a taxi. We recently flew from KC, MO to San Fran and needed transportation from airport to hotel downtown. I booked Wingz through Expedia - this was my first experience with Wingz. After a 10 day cruise, we booked Wingz to take us from cruise port to airport. WOW! I was so impressed with the drivers and the ease of contact with them. They do not show up. They do not call you to tell you they will not show up. When you call the day prior, they will tell you that everything is fine and they have your reservation. Then they don't show and are unprofessional on the phone. Do not use this service. read more

We have used Wingz several times. Our pattern is to order a Wingz driver shortly after we've made our airliner reservation. Each time, drivers have accepted our request quickly (even for a 1 am landing at SFO just after this past Christmas. Jimmy, Reese and Tiombe have been three of our drivers while using Wingz, and all of them have been excellent--early, not just on time, for our pickups from home; friendly, and professional. Two of the drivers have shown up in brand new cars. On two occasions, the drivers have provided us with bottles of water to enjoy during our rides to and from SFO! When talking with the Wingz drivers, we have learned that more than one of them formerly drove formerly with Uber and Lyft, but leapt at the chance to drive for Wingz once they became aware of Wingz' compensation package for drivers. Their enthusiasm for the company makes us feel as if it is a company that actually gives a damn about their employees. And, of course, the cost of taking Wingz is less expensive than taking a cab. We love Wingz, and will continue to make them our first choice for rides whenever we fly out of SFO! read more

This is the worst transportation company ever! Left us stranded at the airport with a toddler and baby because they cancelled last minute after we had the reservation for weeks ahead of time. Stated they weren't able to accommodate due to not being able to find a car seat or booster seat. Luckily we called our usual car service (Premiere 214-351-7000) who was able to get us another car within minutes. Wingz needs to have their feathers plucked and Seattle should shut them down permanently. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. My flight landed early, but I thought the driver would know, since I entered my flight information. No, apparently no one monitors that. Instead, I had to wait for over 45 minutes, and 15 minutes past my actual pick-up time. I tried to see if I could cancel the pick-up, but they were going to charge me 50% of the fare rate. I looked to cancel it again after the scheduled pick-up time, but then it would have charged me 100% of the fare. I wouldn't use this service again, even if they paid me. What a cluster! read more

Tried to book a car for 4am to make it to SFO for a 6am flight. The company cancelled on me 10 minutes before my intended pick up time. I sent an email to them about this horrible customer service and instead of receiving a respectful apology, I received an email that said: "We have almost zero chance to find you a driver if you post your request at 1am for a 4am ride. Drivers are human beings, they sleep like you an me. I would be concerned for your safety if a driver accepts a ride request at 2am to drive you at 4am." Excuse me, but this is supposed to be a 24 hour taxi service with exceptional service to and from SFO airport. I guess not. If you can't find a driver to take me to the airport for an early morning flight then you're running the wrong business. Their customer service is terrible and I will surely never book a ride from them again. read more

I've used this service twice so far from SF to Oakland on VERY early morning flight days (3, 4am..brutal). Needless to say, it's been the best experience. I get super nervous that I won't be able to get an uber exactly when I need it at that hour and this service fills that gap. Drivers have been on time, friendly and show up with reliable, nice cars. I used Wingz several times with success. On my last trip, the driver picked up up at 6 am and took me to the airport, told me she would also be the one picking me up at the end of the trip. My plane was half an hour early so I called her and she said she hadn't left home. I asked her to hurry. She never showed. I called the main number and after a lot of dithering they said they couldn't find another driver and agreed that I should take a cab and that they'd pay for it. But after all, they only reimbursed what I'd already paid for the ride, not the cost of the cab. Too bad, Wingz, it was nice while it lasted but never again. read more

Used WINGZ for the first time today, Redwood City to SJC. Driver was 25 minutes EARLY, called to tell me he was outside and not to rush. Spotlessly clean car. The driver, Jason, was friendly and professional, even gave me a bottle of water. The best part is that I saved $25 by using WINGZ and not my usual Super Shuttle! I have used Wingz several times now and have been happy every time. I love the convenience of scheduling my ride before the actual day/time and I find this particularly helpful when planning my ride home from a trip. My drivers have all be courteous, polite and on time. I have had a driver "switch" after my pickup was accepted, but it was no problem and the new driver was there on time and communicated with me before I arrived at SFO. I have also scheduled early morning pickups to SFO with no issues. The prices are great and it is so much better than using a shuttle. On the shuttle, because of where I live, I am always the first person picked up (so really early based on my flight time) and always the last one dropped off (this can take hours with 5 other drop offs all over the city). But with Wingz I don't have to deal with all of that. I will continue using them for my airport pickups and hope they add more airports in other cities soon! read more

I used Wingz for an early morning flight two weeks ago. It was my first time using Wingz. The driver was 20 minutes late and did not call. I had to call him. (I always allow extra time, so I made my flight but it was close.) I reported this to Wingz and never heard back. Not even an apology. It looks like others have had good results. after working for wingz for 26 months and completing 2082 rides on July 5 I had a tire blow out on the way to pick up a rider that I later found out was a founder at wingz, he arrived earlier than his scheduled 2 pm pickup, he contacted me when he arrived, I said I can pick him up early, so on my way the tire warning light went on, so I pulled over to check, the tire was losing air fast, so I got to nearest shop, to get fixed, I contacted wingz support, they told me to submit my repair invoice, which I did and to let the rider know then I contacted rider, he said he does not care about my situation, he cant wait 10 more minutes, he will get an uber. I said Im sorry, 2 days later my account was deactivated this really sucks, that they treat people that way read more

We'd had a few good experiences with Wingz before -- booking in advance, better price than cabs or Uber, seemingly more reliable than Yellow cab (which had been difficult to communicate with and scared us with late or non-arrivals several times) and nice drivers. But that all went south on our last trip September 24. About a half hour before our scheduled pickup for an international flight, we got a text from Wingz that our driver had cancelled and that they could not schedule a replacement. Having before had to wait on hold longer than 10 minutes to book a cab, that option seemed out, so we tried Uber, where we were able to get a an Uber Taxi with just a few minutes to spare, though at a 50% higher cost than Wingz. Wingz promised to reimburse the cost of the replacement ride if we sent them the Uber receipt, which we promptly did. (Although the initial communication seemed to say they would reimburse the full cost of our actual ride, closer examination of their followup email indicated that they would not reimburse the full cost, only the amount that we would have paid if the original Wingz reservation had worked out.) A month has now passed, and there has been no further communication from Wingz, and no reimbursement has yet been posted. [Followup note: After another inquiry about the reimbursement, Wingz finally did provide it, although the reimbursed amount was, after all, only the original Wingz invoice amount and not the actual cost of our non-Wingz ride.] We gave Wingz one more chance on our return from the trip. At least we got the ride then, but unlike on our previous returns we had about a 15 minute wait at the airport because the driver was still completing a previous trip that he had scheduled a little too close before our reservation. Tired and jetlagged, we would have done better at that point to just take a cab from the baggage claim level, since there is seldom any wait for cabs from SFO (unlike the situation getting there from the City), and Wingz only picks up from the departures level upstairs. After all that, I think Wingz has just cancelled itself from consideration for our next trip. We'll probably try Flywheel or Uber. Haven't used Flywheel before, but it looks similar to Hailo, which we had excellent experience with at our destination on this trip. read more

On Thursday, Oct 15, 2015 I successfully booked Wingz for 7:30 am, Friday Oct. 16, 2015. I was very pleased that I was picked up on time, and all went extremely well. On Sunday, Oct. 18 I was supposed to be picked up by my grandchildren on my return, but our plane came in 2.5 hours later than scheduled. They could not come pick me up so they called Wingz for my return to Morgan Hill, and gave their credit card, and booked me for pickup. Then my granddaughter called to tell me they had received an email canceling my pickup due to no available driver!! There I was in a wheelchair having to come outside at 10:15 to flag a taxi for the price of $68.10!! I sent in my complaint, and "Melvin" said the shuttle needed two days to be ready. On Thursday night 12 hours was plenty early, and they took my booking! He gave me a credit of $25 towards my next trip. read more

Unreliable, careless, and entirely unprofessional. Dallas Wingz driver Rick called our landline at 5:15 am. I've never ordered any service from Wingz. A wrong # can happen to anybody, but he left a message on our machine, didn't notice that our names on the voicemail weren't at all the name he was looking for, then apparently did get a call from the guy he was picking up, but didn't notice that that guy was calling from a different number, and so called ME back again a minute later. We have a newborn baby in the house and didn't appreciate being woken up. I called Rick later in the morning to ask why he had called me. He told me it was all the other guy's fault, and when I asked him how it happened, he said "Are you really calling me just to argue about a phone call?!!" and hung up on me. No apology at all. Everybody makes mistakes, but when you do, please don't a) repeat the same mistake and then b) refuse to apologize. read more

First Wingz experience hmm, not a good one. I absolutely will not want to try again. Scheduled on mobile phone over a week in advance. Debated over the rate in my head as it sounded like a great deal being the same price as a shuttle but just taking me to my stop. Received my driver confirmation. Everything was in place. Arrived at the airport and called to check where to meet. After a 6 hour flight the last thing you need is a screwy system that leaves you stranded someplace unfamiliar. No driver. No email to say no driver. No text message to say no driver. No phone call to say no driver. No missed call or message either. Called customer service who seemed apologetic and sincere but it doesn't help the disaster storm already in place. Was told I'd get a credit towards another service but no credit received. No email either to say I won't get a credit--absolutely nothing!! Over 2 weeks have gone by...crickets. Wasn't waiting for it but it might have actually meant a second consideration should I ever want to try the service again; you know...benefit of the doubt. Consider your options people. read more
