I love Winn Dixie! For the most part this is my go-to grocery store. I love the Bogo deals on not only wine, but everyday items. I wish they carried more of the types of items I'm accustomed too. Winn-Dixie has made a comeback from being a store that had my singing lost his way and stopped caring. They started their transformation by bringing in Choice grade beef, which made sense since they always had a reputation of being the "beef people." They put an emphasis on bringing in good products and started offering good sales. They also did a remodel of a lot of the stories that were open. Some stores have closed down, but the ones that stayed open have been made into attractive stores that you would want to shop at. This particular location is in the Normandy Shopping Center and the parking is good outside and there are signs stating that they have security cameras in use in the parking lot. The store itself is relatively clean and the staff were friendly. Overall, this was a positive experience. read more

This is your basic Winn DIxie. They keep it clean for the most part. I see the management walking around checking on things and I appreciate that. The checkout lines are usually not long. They have put up plastic shields around the cashiers to provide for safety. Plenty of parking! The lot goes on for days. Pizza Hut in same parking lot that is convenient. Plenty of carts so you dont have to look for one. The staff is helpful if you need them. I go here all the time. read more

I make a trip here at least once every two weeks depending what's on their weekend special. This location has been around for a while and hasn't been remodeled up to the same standards compared to some other stores I've been to. The self check out can be a pain. Every once in a while registers are down, or sometimes it malfunctions which needs an employee override. A couple hours before closing they will close the main entrance and customers will need to enter through the Exit. I learned this the hard way because the business hour sign threw me off and figured this out the next time I came back. Overall though not a terrible grocery store. Just make sure you are signed up for the rewards program to qualify for the discounts. read more

This store is an embarrassment to what it used to be and what Winn-Dixie used to stand for. The selection of goods has been drastically reduced and no longer can you find a decent variety of brands. The meat is decent but the bakery and produce leave much to be desired. The worst of all are the employees. A few months ago, I accidentally triggered the alarm in the self check-out (very easy to do) and the worker came up and started going through my bags to see what was purchased and what wasn't. I understood that and stepped back. When she couldn't find anything, she turned around and grabbed for my purse. I refused. There was a very brief stand off, no words, and she backed off when she realized I wasn't going to just hand over my purse to her. I called corporate and made a complaint but no one ever got back to me. I stopped shopping there. So, after a while, I decided to give them another chance. Never again. I am not a "viral video/photo shaming" type of person, but in hindsight I wish I was. One worker, supposedly stocking goods, was sitting on the floor picking his nose. Another was standing in the middle of the store having a very detailed, loud conversation about someone's health status on his cell phone. There was no one in the bakery or the deli. The bathrooms were filthy, and it was before 10 am. The tipping point was back at the old self check-out station. I really had no choice, there was only one register open and there were more than 4 people in line with very full carts - I only had 3 items. I got to the register and dropped a 12 pack of soda and it opened. Totally my fault. I put it on the ground, picked up the one soda can that had rolled out and placed it BETWEEN my feet, intending still to purchase it. (It didn't dent or explode and would have been fine. It's not like I haven't dropped them before, its not the end of the world, right?) I scanned the other two items I was holding and then I was PUSHED out of the way. Yes, pushed by an employee. She grabbed the 12 pack from between my feet, muttered something I could not understand and stormed off. I was speechless. I paid for the items I had (not the soda, hadn't scanned it yet) and went to the front desk and the girl there (a different one) walked away without speaking to me and didn't come back. Again, I've contacted corporate to no avail, so I've given up. The Winn-Dixie of old is long gone. There are plenty more grocery stores around here with better choices, better products and BETTER EMPLOYEES for me to give my business to. read more

Not a bad location, slightly bigger than some Winn-Dixies I've been to. They're a dollar section is no longer a dollar section . I had a problem with a mix and match BOGO deal went straight to customer service and they checked it and gave a refund it was very easy, and they were nice about it. read more

This is a wonderful Winn-Dixie and it is where I do most of my shopping. It is conveniently located to other places I frequent with ample room for parking. The service has always been above average from my experience and I am quite satisfied with the selections they offer. Whenever I go to the deli, bakery or product sections, I am almost always immediately greeted and asked, "Can I help you?" I especially like the clientele that come here because everyone seems to be so friendly and hospitable. And with my handy dandy Winn-Dixie rewards card, I enjoy seeing the savings on my grocery bill and love bragging to others about my Fuel Perks: the few pennies taken off of my gas bill every month. Teenage workers have taken over the store. They are constantly congregating at the front of the store in little groups, on their phones and giving zero customer service. You're lucky if you get a hello, much less eye contact or attempt at the smallest amount of chit chat. They seem to have no supervision, and do what they want. I used to shop here almost daily because it is close by,...but now I drive further just so I don't have to go there anymore. This was my first time at a Winn Dixie in years and the first time going to a location in the South; it was ok overall. Let's start with what could use some work. I did not like the way the issues were organized. I went looking specifically for red curry paste which I assumed would be in the ethnic isle. I saw Siracha and curry sauces so when I didn't see the paste, I assumed they didn't sell it. I continued shopping and a couple of isles over there is curry paste work marinades and sauces? As I went on I saw a lot of the same theme; similar items split between multiple isles. Needless to say it wasted time and is confusing. On the up side, I love the deals and selection they have in fresh frozen beans, veggies, and fruit! I lost it in there and piled up! Pricing is fair, the staff is great and overall it was a good visit. If I have the time, maybe I'll try and figure out the isles however I'm not completely discouraged. There was enough good on this trip to get me back for a round 2 soon. read more

I like the self check out. The selection isnt so good, Wal-Mart and Publix both carry way more stuff. But since Publix is expensive and Walmart is a little far, when I need something I know they have and I don't have time to go to Wal-Mart, WD is where I go. read more

I really have to say my perspective and attitude towards Winn-Dixie has really evolved in the past couple of years. It used to be second fiddle to Publix, but these days I've been really impressed with the fresh meat and produce. Prices have been competitive as well. I can say I haven't been disappointed during my trips to Winn-Dixie which is not something I can say about other grocery stores. For Fathers's Day I purchased a super thick cut of petit sirloin for the grill at the request of my father. It cooked up so well over the charcoal, so much so that I've spoiled my wife and she won't eat steak cooked any other way. Thanks Winn-Dixie. read more

The selection vs other groceries is OK and it is good to mix it up. The produce is more altered chemically than I would prefer. We recently had stopped in for a few Squash, Zucchini, and Eggplant. The taste was OK, but could NOT get past the color of the Squash a faint yellow. Also, picked up a T-Bone steak that was a good value considering price for weight of the steak. The meat was of good taste and would try again, thin cut T-Bone for $9.50 enough for two folks to share. This location offers a good selection of steak sauce and other spices. The check out personal helped be get the Rewards Card discount. I agree with Kerry C in that I would on most occasions go to other stores unless I feel like breaking my routine and then think to myself I have a routine for a reason. read more

In an area where every Publix is a mad house, this Winn Dixie is convenient, but not in the direction I would normally drive. In spite of this I found it to be surprisingly well run. Merchandise was well presented and the store was clean. Checkout was a breeze (and this has not historically been the case at Winn-Dixie for me) and the staff was very helpful, visible and attentive. read more

They have two check out cashiers. Period. All the time. They refused to add additional . No, I don't know anyone who works here. Had a "customer service" issue. Beef roasts were buy 1 get 1 free but I was charged full price for both. I BROUGHT THEM BOTH BACK WITH THE RECEIPT since I had problems before and there it was ... that attitude! I had stopped shopping there for several years due to issues then having to deal with "customer service" clerks. I had the product and receipt and they made the error yet she treated me rudely and I feel is was because I am white and she was black. She was a rude drama queen! Making hand gestures like I was giving her a hard time. When another black employee walked past she told that employee "yea, I really get 'em" clearly meaning me. They both laughed. I told her I didn't appreciate the way she was treating me, using her hand gestures like I was giving her a hard time when I was not. Then she began talking to me like I was a two year old. She apologizes to the black man behind me for taking so long but never said a word of apology to me. I told her to give me a refund on both and I left. I will not be returning. read more

The store itself is fairly clean and shelves "usually" in good order. THE FRONT END SERVICE IS almost ALWAYS A NIGHTMARE! Rude, poorly trained teens who clearly don't care about you, your eggs or bread. Its on the way home but usually I'll suck it up and drive a few extra miles and go to Publix. Publix is similarly priced, do the math, and I don't need a Valium when I'm done shopping. read more
