No hello back, no smile. The girl that was checking me out was yelling across to the other checkout girl about something she needed to do with a Western Union. Do they even have supervisors here? I love this location simpley cause the morning staff are lovely! I come here to fetch my cerials and soy milk for breakfast at work at 8am. There's always a friendly face in the morning! Actually I really like this Winn-Dixie compared to some others I have been to. This store has a great selection and always seems really kept up. I think their prices are better than Publix. The parking lot doesn't have carts all throughout it, which is a huge plus compared to some stores that have no cart returns. I do have one issue though that drives me insane here, which is the checkstands. Almost every time I go here there is only one regular checkstand open along with the u-scan lines. If I have under 15 items than I always go through the u-scan because it saves time. If I have a ton of items it is frustrating to have to get in the regular line that can sometimes take well over 15 minutes. It seems everyone wants to go in the regular line even if they have enough items for the u-scan. (I'm used to people actually using the u-scan lines where I'm from, so it's super odd no one really uses them here) I really wish this store would open some more checkstands up when it is busy. I usually shop in the morning to avoid a good percentage of the lines but even then it can take forever. This is one thing that really bothers me here because I feel like there could easily be more checkstands open. read more

This supermarket is awesome. There are always great savings, especially if you have your winn-dixie card. There are always people to help you if you need help. You have everything you need in that store, and the self check-outs make it so much more better. The food from the deli would probably be your only pre-caution. Some foods are spoiled in the deli especially the chicken. Other than that, this place is awesome. read more

Just picked up a sub from the deli. Thought we'd give it a shot being that we usually get our subs at Publix. Very very very disappointed. It would have been great except the bread must of been a week old, it was so hard. How does this happen? If bread is old, get rid of it. It's probably one of the cheapest part of a sub. By deciding to use it anyway, you give us no choice but to never purchase one again. I've yet to get old hard bread from Publix ever. read more

It is a negative review for the pharmacy. They never pick the phone even when medical provider would like to call in a prescription. My doctor called in 3 times. She spent over 30 min on hold and was disconnected all 3 times. I called in to prescribe a prescription for my patients many times with the same result. I went in person to transfer my prescription from publix, they told me that it would take a few days to do it. There were no customers in the pharmacy. Also, they were rude. Found some OK deals here, but some of the items advertised on the shelf didnt match at the register and the cashier had to redo in order for me to get the savings. Winn Dixie is not a place that I would call pleasurable to shop in.. One associate saw the huge line waiting to check out. Only one register was open and only one girl over-seeing the self service. I never post things like this but this got me extremely upset and I had to share. I just did my Passover shopping at Winn Dixie of aventura and by mistake I took the wrong brand of Matzah. After getting home I realized that I had made a mistake and went back to the store to EXCHANGE it to be told by the manager that I can't exchange the product. I would understand if I was bringing it back after the holidays or even after a certain delay that they wouldn't accept to exchange but this was literally a few hours back after having spent over 500$!!!! I even told the manager that he would be loosing a regular customer for an EXCHANGE of 2 packs of unopened matzah and that I would make sure to share this embarrassment but he didn't seem to care so here I am!! I couldnt care less about the matzah I'll just get some elsewhere but the principle is that for something so rediculous you can see that they have zero customer service and don't care to loose you as a customer so I'm very happy to spend my money elsewhere!! After shopping at publix, you realize the difference when it comes to customer service, Winn-Dixie is the worst, you can find yourself waiting on the lottery line with no one is trying to serve you, they just look at you wondering what you are doing here. I like the items in Winn-Dixie, they have a great vegetable section, i think they should put more effort on replacing their staff with Publix staff. read more

This place is not up to normal grocery store standards for the beach area.. Sometimes they only have one checkout isle open. People working there are not experienced and don't even know the word customer service. I only buy small items there because it reminds me of a gas station with low quality food and items. I asked 4 separate employees where a simple basic ingredient was the response I got from all of them was if I could find it they were out of it. Unfortunately, my experience at this Winn-Dixie hasn't been that great. The second I walked into the store, everybody seemed miserable and the vibe in the store was horrible. I came to take advantage of the 3-day sale Winn-Dixie was having and I asked an employee where some items were or if they had any left, and he didn't even know about the 3-day sale.. this was very disappointing, since there were stickers for it almost everywhere. The worst part of my visit here was the cashier. A lady was ringing me out (after shuffling through her bag of chocolate for a minute while I stood there waiting) and I asked her to look up my Winn-Dixie card since I've never received mine in the mail. She went ahead and tried it once, and when I wanted to try a second number, she rejected my idea and said "I'll just use this one" (the one that was given to them on the cashier). There was no line. There was no people. She was simply lazy. Great location, clean environment, but very poor management and low quality service. They have only a few people who are really nice and friendly. Most of the workers are very rude, not attentive and not supportive. I rarely leave bad reviews but just had to say that employees of this place are a joke. I like shopping here, the Hispanic ladies at the deli are always sweet and helpful. They always have specials and with the winn dixie card you get added savings. It never seems too busy, but I usually go around mid day. And the manager Dixon is always pleasant and willing to lend a helping hand. I prefer shopping here as opposed to the publix in Sunny Isles or the anything in North Miam. read more

This Winn Dixie has come a long way since it's remodel. While it is more organized the selection is still limited. As with most places there are plenty of cash registers there are not enough people running them. Many items do not have price tags so you are playing Russian roulette. Oh boy. Produce here is very slim pickens. It is rarely fresh and rarely fully stocked. Every time I've been (total of 4 or 5), I've had very soft and almost rotten roma tomatoes to choose from. Not to mention, the prices are higher than the quality of produce and food. read more

I LOVE my neighborhood Winn-Dixie. Previous to me starting to go there, I had heard horror stories about Winn-Dixies. The service is GREAT !!! The cashiers help me find coupons for items I don't have coupons for, they have even run around the store looking for a specific item I want. Not to mention the savings are GREAT !!! all the BO-GO deals are awesome, coupons are great and they also have these buy 1 get 4 things for free, like one time I purchased a 12 pack of tissue paper and received a box of GLAD trash bags, Palmolive dish washing detergent and Windex FOR FREE!!!. Horrible! Last week's ad had a special promotion of Winn-Dixie cream cheese. I purchased two packages and was charged the non-sale amount. At 11:30 am today, April 3, 2014, I went back to the store with the receipt and showed it to them. I was told that because the sale was the prior week, the service desk needed and over-ride from the store manager, who was the only person authorize to make the adjustment. Also, I was asked to bring the unopened packages back to the store. The service manager did not respond to calls and loudspeaker requests to come to the service desk. The service person was informed by another employee that he was on a personal call on his cell phone, right outside the store. She went out and asked him to come in. He waived her off. We both waited for 10 minutes, when she went out again, this was repeated two more times. After 30 minutes, I said never mind, forget it - I give up and am never coming back here again. She was very apologic and said there was nothing more she could do. While we were standing there, another employee stopped back and said: you know I tried calling here since 8:00 am this morning was never able to get through. So much for their "revamping" - go to Publix instead, you'll get better service. read more

The worst kosher bakery in entire Miami. They never made a cake for my son's 10th birthday party claiming that they don't know what happened!?!? They didn't even have the paper where the order was placed. On the top of everything they didn't mention one time sorry about it. Of all the grocery stores in the entire city, including my favored triumvirate of specialty stores; Fresh Market, Trader Joe's and Penn-Dutch, this particular Winn-Dixie, on the border of America and the third-world, oops I mean Broward and Miami-Dade, is to me, arguably one of the best grocery stores in South Florida and I would also argue it seems to strive to get progressively better. Case(s) in point: I didn't have my Winn-Dixie card with me but they immediately applied the discount(s) to my grocery purchases and they were swift in working my coupons through as well; no complaints, no double-checking, no treating me like a common criminal simply for asking for discounts and the privilege of using coupons - real customer service, real smiles. This store is uber-clean, has a quite large vegetable and fruit produce section that seems to glisten with freshness and the meats and fish section also seem to indicate fresh, clean and abundance. You can find quite a bit in this store, from wines and beer, pet products, personal product and hygiene needs all the way to all types of food from canned goods to ethnic items with relative ease. It's in a nice location in what appears to be an underutilized mall (from a parking perspective we were almost at the grocery store's door and other customers seemed to drive about with almost unexpected ease and courtesy; both so rare to South Florida). Because of their cleanliness, abundance of products and many sales and discounts I am guaranteed to return. read more

Average Winn-Dixie. Absolutely nothing special besides the fact that it is near a couple of other retail stores (Old Navy, T.J. Maxx, and Dollar Tree). There are problems however (which I think is prevalent at other Winn-Dixies I've visited) and they are the following: You NEED to have the Winn-Dixie card to get the sale items and you need to renew it every year; they take off the promotional (sale or bogo) discounts at the END of the transaction (this means that you won't know if the item you picked up is really for sale until the end of the transaction); they are almost always understaffed, especially at the Deli, so you can't get an employee to help you out if you find an item out of stock; the deli and bakery is almost NEVER open (you can almost never get fresh fried chicken, fresh deli cuts, etc.); they put the sales item sign near items that aren't for sale, and because of the taking the promotion off at the last second problem, you will almost never know that the item you picked u isn't really for sale; finally, they sometimes don't have popular sale items in stock. read more
