I enjoyed my shopping experience at Winnie Couture. Haley was my stylist and she was AMAZING! She called me the day before my appointment to get an idea of what I was looking for and wanted to hear all about my wedding. She had several dresses pulled for me to try on as soon as I arrived (as well as a glass of champagne!). She picked up quickly on my style and we were on the same page immediately. They have dresses of all styles. From all of my other dress shopping experience, the Winnie dresses are by far the best quality so far! They have built in bras that make it so secure and comfortable which I have yet to find anywhere else. Which also means they didn't try to sell me on pricey undergarments bc they were already included :) I did find one dress that I particularly liked but it was a little over my budget and I ultimately decided to leave without purchasing. My wedding is in 13 months and I am yet to find a dress. If I had more money, I would go back to Winnie Couture in a heart beat! I see from other posts that they recently had a sample sale. WARNING BRIDES- Read these reviews carefully (many of the + ones are from shoppers not buyers)! Buying my dress here was a nightmare! I am only giving it 2 stars because the place is pretty, they allow photos and I ultimately I loved my dress but I worked hard for it and paid through the nose to get it right. Everything was fine till the fittings started at which point, no joke, I had to go so many times I lost count (6-8??) and I had to pay $925 which was still less than the $400-500 more they would have charged me if I did not hold my ground on top of a dress that would have been approx $4000 (poly satin, and one little piece of beaded lace) had it not been for the 20% discount I got for buying it when they had a weekend special. Of those costs, many were for things THEY did wrong and did not admit to. The part they did concede, I had proof it was wrong and they couldn't wiggle out of it. It is not even just a matter of the money, it was seriously how aggravating, stressful and time consuming the whole ordeal was. My favorite expression of theirs was " that is a matter of personal preference" YES IT IS A MATTER OF PREFERENCE THAT MY BUST LINE BE EVEN AND HEM STRAIGHT! I could seriously go on and on but this would be a longer review than the Iliad. If it were not for my mom that used to be a fashion designer and could tell them what to do to fix it, I would have had one pricey piece of crap. Bottom line... their staff sucks, their seamstress sucks and their attitude is the worst of all since it is deny deny deny till they go oh yes, I can now see what you mean...cha ching. My best advice is wherever you buy know the exact measurements of your order, know your measurements, read your contract, know when they will do fittings, know what the fit tolerance is, measure yourself again before you pick up, and at first fit, spec the dress when it comes in and make sure you get what was promised. To know how to measure go on-line and learn. Take pictures of the sample and really inspect production upon arrival. If you make customizations make sure you know the impact to the rest of the fit and get it ALL in writing. Trust me on this unless you like to be completely freaked out, have all the time in the world to go to BH every weekend and have money to blow on stuff that a "couture" dress shouldn't need. Every bride loses weight, and the changes that I made were to fix HUGE problems like crooked hem, way longer and bigger than I ordered,misplaced trim etc.. things that THEY did wrong, not changes I made on a whim! read more

Fellow Brides, do not go to Winnie Couture in Beverly Hill. Save yourself the stress, please. I came in 9 months ago with my mom (I got married in March 2012) and found my dream wedding gown. Amanda, the regional store manager was my Stylist. Because we were in BH, we felt fully confident we'd be treated with exceptional customer service and Amanda would be knowledgeable about wedding gown alterations, etc. Sadly, we were WRONG. Amanda measured me to a size 12 dress. She refused to re-measure me when I told her I am usually a size 6/8. She said, "it's better to go bigger so it's easier to make alterations". We thought it was strange but because she is the Regional Store Manager and works at the Flagship Store in Beverly Hills, we took her word for it and moved on. 8 months later (4 weeks before my wedding) my first fitting! I was excited until I put the dress on my body and the size 12 slipped off. My mom and I were in shock and turned pale! Amanda and the seamstress said "Don't worry. This is normal. All our brides need major alterations when their dress comes in". We were nervous but again, let Amanda lead. I was told everything would be fixed at the 2nd fitting. 3 weeks before my wedding,2nd fitting, the dress fit worse than the 1st fitting. The boob padding was huge, the skirt lining was not in the right place and was showing through, the belt was mangled and the back was too tight. Furthermore, Amanda WAS NOT present at the 2nd fitting. Again, I was told everything would be fixed during my 3rd fitting. When I returned the following weekend, the dress was a mess! It was tattered from all the work that has been done. The seamstress lifted my wedding gown skirt and started cutting the seams on my body!! When she did that, we had enough! We insisted a new dress be ordered and Amanda said it was not possible. She would not make an exception and showed no empathy. Furthermore, she did not admit that she measured me incorrectly. My fiancé ended up contacting the CEO, Chris, explaining the situation to him and I was able to get re-measured. Turns out, I am a true size 6. The CEO was not able to get my dress into the store until 4 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING. YIKES!!! Once it came in, Amanda gave me a hard time about showing up for my fitting. The seamstress was not present at my last fitting, 1 day before my wedding. The dress was gorgeous but the fit could have been better and so could have the customer service. In short, I had a horrible experience at Winnie Couture in Beverly Hills. I told myself, I'd let people know about my experience not to be negative but to be informative. Jenna did an excellent job helping me find my dream dress. I tried on seven dresses total (and like 8 others at another store) and am so happy with my decision. Both her and Sole were super attentive throughout my appointment and I felt very comfortable the entire time we were there. I struggled deciding between two gowns and Jenna helped "coach" me through the different things I liked and was unsure of on each dress. Ultimately I picked one of the dresses however Jenna was able to customize it to match a portion of the other dress that I loved. Excellent customer service and an overall great experience. Winnie Couture does not care about their brides!!!!!!!! I am very saddened to say that Winnie Couture made my wedding dress experience a disappointing venture. It started off very pleasant, and turned very ugly. Obviously when you are purchasing something that is of great cost everyone caters to you. I think that is what makes me so sad, when they were trying to get the sale they were so accomodating, but once the sale was completed the level of customer service plummeted. I am not here to ramble on and on about every little thing that was done that was not up to par. However any bride knows the stresses of getting married, and the last thing you want to be stressing about on your wedding day is your dress. My wedding day was filled with angst because I had to hire an emergency seamstress due to the fact that the seamstress at Winnie Couture could not properly fit my dress. It was so shocking and disappointing because everything leading up to this was wonderful, Monika the sales rep was amazing, but when the dress couldn't be altered right they took no responsibility and put it on me; the bride. Even though it wasn't right I had to pay for everything or I would't be allowed to leave with the dress. So here I am 4 days before my wedding day with a dress that doesn't fit right, a bill for alterations of $500, and a designer who doesn't care about me. Thankfully a family friend is a seamstress in my hometown of Palm Springs and she took 48 hours to restructure my dress and delivered it to me on the DAY of my wedding. I spent $5000 on a dress that didn't even fit me right. I ended up spending a total of $1000 on alterations, and when I called Winnie Couture after the wedding they told me there was nothing they could do. They have the worst customer service skills once you have paid. They do not care about you, the only thing they truly care about is the sale. My dress was beautiful, but the stress that it created tampered with the beauty of the dress. For the money I spent I wish I went somewhere that cares about putting their brides before the sale. They have nice dresses but horrible service. I wanted to try on dresses while my friends were in town and booked an appointment for a Saturday. I went in and they had me wait 20 minutes for a consultant to come back from break. I was so upset that by the time I was going to get started trying on dresses I only had about 45 minutes to try on 5 dresses! Then I wanted my maid of honor to help me and the consultant barges in the room and said no so the dresses don't get ripped! So whatever. I ended up going to panache bridal and found a gorgeous dress. Even though it was like 5000 and a thousand over my budget. Beautiful gowns and items, however the sales staff is completely fake. Originally went in to check out their sample sale but walked out with a pair of shoes. At the register, I discussed shipping options with the sales associate. At that time I was told shipping would not be an issue and would be included. 3 months later, here I am receiving a call that I have to come in store to pick it up and that they cannot honor their our arrangement as they do not have it noted on my invoice (how convenient). Ladies, make sure you get everything in writing at the time of purchase on your copy, businesses like this cannot be trusted when they will say anything to close a sale. This was my first stop when dress shopping. I did not end up buying my dress here but I highly recommend Haley. She was one of the sweetest and most helpful saleswoman I had met during this entire process. She encouraged an open mind and was extremely helpful in explaining all the different silhouettes and styles. The boutique itself is super cute. There are couches/chairs, a large mirror and chandelier hanging in front of each dressing room. It's a comfortable and perfect area for anyone who comes with you to join in on the experience. They offered us bottled water & champagne, and my appointment lasted almost two hours. They have a great selection of gowns, in different shapes and in a varying budget range. Haley allowed me to take pictures of the gowns as Winnie Couture is a private collection. I finally got the balls to write this damn place a review. Well, im giving this sad little place one 1 star, but if i had the choice...none. Last July of 2017, Winnie Couture was my very first bridal salon to go to. Reading the reviews here on Yelp made me so excited to try on Dresses here, i couldn't wait. Well, when the day came i got the opposite of what i wanted to feel. When i arrived there with my mom and sister, it was very glamours place. All the dresses, were very pretty. I couldn't wait to see what i looked nice in or what made me feel like a bride. That's what every girls feels, like.. right?? Well, guess what..they made me feel FAT! FAT! FAT! LIKE A FUCKEN HIPPO!!! mind you, i'm a curvy girl, size 6..ok, but these dresses where no size 6. And the consultant, who was helping me was not very happy on helping me. First of all, I didn't know what style looked good on me, what i liked... nothing. I was totally, new at this dress hunting thing. She didn't bother to talk to me, nor explain what dress i was trying on, what made me look pretty. She just wanted to rush the appointment and get my money. What really pissed me off was that she had the nerve to tell me that i was "not giving her anything to go off by". For what little dresses that "did" fit, were nice. Im not going to lie they were nice, but they did not make me feel like a bride. First off Bitch! I CAME TO YOU...for you to help me what looks prefect on me. NOT FOR YOU TO INSULT ME. Forth more, Winnie Couture stated that they offer drinks to their soon-to-be brides and guest to make the appointment more conformable and fun, right? Well, the girl didn't bother to offer anything to me, my mom, and my sister till the very end of the session. Heres the kicker. My session only lasted for 30 mins or less. How sad is that. I left very discouraged, very emotion, and totally sad. Winnie Couture ruined my day that day. Made me feel like i was a hippo. Determining how many, if any, stars to rate Winnie Couture is really difficult. Ashley (who is no longer working there) made the first half of my wedding dress shopping experience so fantastic, and the dress is pretty. It's beyond disappointing that the store manager made picking up my dress such an awful experience. I had been treated so wonderfully that I was extremely shocked to be treated so poorly when I went to pick up by dress and by the store manager, no less! Ellie Bacon, the manager was so rude. From calling me "beautiful" way too many times to be even close to sincere, to rushing me to pay and out the door, without time to make sure I was happy with the fit, and to, frankly, not even considering making any accommodations when I felt the dress fit too snug. That a custom designed and finished wedding boutique wouldn't be particular and specific about the fit of their dresses and customer satisfaction is beyond me. Call me naïve, but I truly believed Ellie would actually follow up and reach out to let me know about the shoes I was interested in. Nope. No call, no text. I like my dress, but the fit isn't fantastic, the wedding is close and Ellie made it abundantly clear that Winnie Couture wasn't interested in making my experience pleasant. Buyer beware. read more

I found my beautiful dress here! I'm so excited about it because I tried on several dresses with a certain style in mind and only really liked two. My friend really wanted to see a style with sleeves, lace and beading...yuck! lol It was everything I said I DIDN'T want on my dress, but I tried it on for her and that was it! I cannot say enough good things about Winnie Couture! I have had a wonderful experience with this boutique every step of the way. My consultant has been Monika from start to finish and she is a complete angel! The first time I visited the shop was with one of my bridesmaids. Monika let us browse around the store and explained the styles in each section of the store and the materials each dress was made of, and how they could be upgraded and so on. We picked out a bunch of dresses and Monika also made some pretty suggestions. That girl knows her stuff! She got me in and out of about 8 dresses in less than an hour! Including the time we took to pick them out! (Compare with about 4 or 5 dresses in an hour and a half at other salons.) The dress I ended up falling in love with was a completely swarovski crystal beaded fit-n-flare gown. Winnie Couture offers a 15% discount if you buy your dress the day of your first appointment. However I wanted to wait for my mother, who was flying in from out of town the following weekend to buy a dress with me, and Monika extended the 15% discount until the following weekend! My mom ended up loving the dress as much as I did, so we bought it. We also made about 3 custom changes to the dress - including changing the neckline, backline and mid-seam. I was a bit worried about how the beading pattern would come out (if they were just going to chop out the parts I didn't want) but they completely customized the beading to match all of the changes on the dress! It is just beautiful and perfect and I got to take it home this weekend. I recently moved from LA to NorCal, so I will have to get my alterations done up here, and I'm very disappointed I won't get to keep working with Winnie Couture. They are so wonderful! read more

Prior to my appointment with Winnie Couture, I had several other lackluster experiences at other bridal salons. Upon arriving, Monika warmly greeted my 6 other guests (family and in-laws) and I, and showed us around the beautiful salon. After describing what I was looking for, I probably tried on about 8 dresses before ultimately choosing the dress I will wear on my wedding day. Throughout the appointment, Monika was very sweet, patient, and very talented at helping me choose dresses. After trying on multiple dresses, I started to feel a bit confused about what I wanted and speechless at times, so I really appreciated how Monika was able to work with me on strengthening my vision and having me give more verbal feedback. I left the appointment confident that I made the right decision, and extremely relieved that I finally bought the dress! I ended up saying yes to a beautiful mermaid style dress with gorgeous lace details and sleeves and an intricate lace and transparent back -perfect for my outdoor forest-themed wedding. I also made significant customizations to the lining and the neckline. I'm also very appreciative that Monika worked with my mom to help her make this appointment, as I live and work overseas. I also liked that there was a special promotion for brides who wanted to buy their dress then-and-there during their first appointment. I would recommend to take advantage of this promotion if you are serious about buying a dress, and to do your research on their website beforehand -I believe you can save up to 15% off your purchase! one of the worst bridal appointments I had. We were the first appointment and the manager was supposed to be our sales associate. After waiting in the lobby for about 15 min, the receptionist (who was SUPER sweet) ended up having to help me for the next 45 minutes because the manager was "busy". Best service ever! When I called to schedule an appointment they were very friendly which other dress shops were not, and they took time to get to know you and your style even before you go in for the appointment. They have a website in which you can put in your style of dresses in your MY CLOSET, the day before the appointment they call you to confirm your appointment which other dress shops also didn't do, and they ask you if they can choose some dresses for you in your style, it shows that they noted what you told them over the phone which also shows that they really care. Haley at Winnie really listened to what kind of style I was looking for, she was really great at picking out ONLY the things I had describe, and they can custom make any changes to the dress that you LOVE to make it extra special for the day of your wedding. They make you feel really special, wanting to know you, your fiancé, and your wedding venue. I promise you will have a great wedding dress shopping experience as I have if you shop at Winnie. I ended up picking the first dress I had tried on and this was my first wedding dress shop appointment, which says a lot. I went to my second appointment somewhere else in Beverly Hills just to see what they had to offer and how it would be, and it was horrible. I felt so comfortable here from beginning to end and with the help of Monika I was able to finally find my wedding gown! Such a great selection to chose from and each gown is so unique and beautiful in its own way. Monika was amazing and really knows what she's talking about. She made me feel so comfortable the entire time. I'm the MOH to my best friend who's getting married next year. Winnie Couture was one of many bridal shops I've called and so far the absolute best. First off we were all taken back by the beauty of the store, it's absolutely gorgeous. We were 30 minS early to our appointment but they took us in right away with no hesitation! We were greeted by the woman at the front then by Kimia who introduced herself as the stylist. We are a huge party and she brought all of us champagne. She made the bride feel so special while making it a super fun experience for the whole party! Every other bridal shop we've encountered seemed frantic and overwhelmed with our huge party but the girls at Winnie had a blast with us. I am giving this place 3 stars only becuase I LOVED LOVED LOVED my wedding dress....but had to pay a lot and work hard to get it that way. I choose my wedding dress with the first visit and after that visit it went down hill. I had to pay an additional $800 dollars in alertations, and had about 4 fittings. The staff was nice, but I did not feel appericated. When spending about 6k on a wedding dress, it is important to be proffesional and over accomidating, but they were not like that! This place does have gorgeous dresses, but be very careful about the pricing. I mixed 2 dress and they charged me for the more expensive of the two although I used less farbic from that dress. Every detail added to my dress was also a pretty penny. There prices seem resoanble until you add all your additions. The staff can also be more polite and no so salesy! I do not like when the staff is only driven by sales numbers and that is what it feels like in there. I get their point is to sell, but this is the most imporant day in a girls life she should not be sold, or upsold she should buy the dress because she LOVES it. So having more empathy and truly caring about your customers is what they need to work on. That will drive more sales, then lying to customers about alteration cost, and the prices of the dress. read more

Said yes to the dress today at Winnie! I drive by this place all the time on my way home from work, and never thought I'd be able to afford it. This is only the 2nd bridal salon I've been to, but once I found the dress, I canceled my other appointments. I had made an appointment here because my mother encouraged me to look around Beverly Hills despite what I anticipated to be unaffordable price tags. I used the website to request an appointment and they called me the next day and offered me the first appointment of the day on the following Saturday which was AMAZING. My consultant Marlin called me the day prior and we discussed what silhouettes I'd tried on before, price range (dresses in-store range 2500-7000), the feel I was going for, and even looked up my venue so that she can get a good idea of the type of dresses to pick out for me! She took into account what I told her my mom would want to see, and the alterations I would likely need to make. Then she sent me an email with a link to "my closet"- a feature on the website where you add dresses you're interested in to a list so that the consultants can pull them for you on the day of your appointment. She picked out two dresses for me online, and one of them was THE dress. As soon as I saw her choices, I was excited and had a great feeling about the appointment. On arrival to the appointment today, we were greeted warmly, and asked if we'd like water or champagne. The store itself is exactly what you'd expect a bridal salon to look like- beautiful couches with accents of pink, large white framed mirrors with small raised platforms, chandeliers and physically separate areas for each bride/entourage so you're not watching other brides (or getting watched by their family members). There are private fitting rooms where your consultant puts the dress on you but you don't see yourself until you're stepping out to show your party. My party and I were encouraged to wander around and pick dresses (which are arranged by type) after we were given a brief orientation. We picked a few out and I tried on most of them in addition to the ones Marlin had picked out for me. For reference I am about a 12 normally and 16 bridal, and there were plenty of dresses that I tried on in size 18 and clipped to fit. So if appropriately sized bridal samples are a concern- know that not every dress is a 4/6 sample size. I knew I was very excited about trying on the dress she picked out for me, but I did try a few others before coming back to that one. They have a good variety of fun and romantic dresses to choose from. Marlin was amazing and encouraged me to try different things, and was very supportive of every decision I made. She never pushed me, and only made supportive and confidence boosting comments. Once I had said yes to the dress, she put a veil and gave me heels to wear to get the full effect and walk around the store. I got the chance to move in it the way I would on the day of the wedding. I tried on three different veils, and ended up buying one of them (current promotion of 10% off the veil if you check in on yelp!). The next hour and half (spent almost three hours total) were spent in discussing the customizations I needed for the top of the dress including sleeves, straps, the lace for the sleeves, color of the dress. I was measured (and every measurement was double checked by the manager) and signing the contract. We finished off with celebratory champagne and pictures. There was a 15% discount on the dress if you buy it on your first day visiting the salon as well which saved us a few hundred dollars. The deposit was 50% of the final price. This does not include any alterations that would be needed once we pick up the dress which will take about 6 months to arrive at which time the other 50% will be due. They were also very patient with my picky but awesome mom and allowed us to see things more than once and answered our questions . Winnie Couture was the first bridal boutique I visited and it was no doubt my favorite bridal experience. The beautiful boutique had gorgeous dresses. You can feel and see that they are made with quality fabric and materials. I had a "wow" reaction for every single dress I tried on. The staff, especially Ruth, were friendly, helpful, and professional. She helped me step into the dresses, and made sure I was clipped in to perfectly fit my body. I ended coming here because I saw there booth at a brides expo. I was extremely nervous to make an appointment with them because I had absolutely no clue what I wanted as my wedding dress. The girl that was at the booth was extremely sweet and convinced me to make an appointment with her. I'm SO glad that I did. The day of my appointment Monika greeted me and told me that she was going to be helping me with the process of trying on dresses. I was so overwhelmed by all the beautiful gowns that I had no clue what I wanted. The only thing I did know was that I wanted to look elegant and sexy on my wedding day. With only those two things in mind Monika did an amazing job in selecting dresses for me. I basically fell in love with everything she chose for me. Not only did she do a great job in selecting dresses for me but she also made me feel beautiful in everything I tried on. I also appreciated her honesty and opinion. She was the SWEETEST! I learned about Winnie Couture at a bridal show where i fell in love with their Kamila dress so I decided to go try on dresses. I went with my mom and sister and found a good selection of dresses. I ended up trying on about eight dresses until I found THE DRESS! It was not like any of the dresses I had in mind. The staff was great. I ended up going past my scheduled time but was in no way rushed. They let me take my time. The place looks great, elegantly decorated with chandeliers and every bride-to-be gets their own "area" where your guests can sit. I was placed in the VIP area where it is completely separated from the other areas so it is totally private. They also offer a discount if you purchase your dress on the first visit. read more
