I had an excellent dress shopping experience at Winnie Couture! It was the first place I tried on dresses. They were friendly and attentive. My stylist, Suzanne, was wonderful and really made the shopping experience easy and fun. I brought 5 girls and my mom with me and Winnie was extremely accommodating and welcoming to us all. I'm not sure if I'll ultimately buy my dress from here (not getting married til 2015 so have a bit of time) but I appreciated the way that things could be easily altered or changed and swapped between various dress designs. I found the ONE at Winnie Couture over this past weekend. All their gowns are beautiful and fit really well. I had Marlin as my stylist. She was great. She listened to what I was looking for and she selected a few gowns that I really liked. She was attentive and super sweet. I had a great experience at Winnie. Dress shopping can be stressful. The staff at Winnie are some of the sweetest people! Each time I came into the store they greeted me with a warm welcome and made me feel right at home. They have a wide selection of dresses and accessories and are willing to help you out in any way that they can. During my first appointment I showed them a photo of another dress that I had been thinking about getting and, while they didn't have the same dress, they combined two dresses to be able to give me a comparison to work from. IN LOVE! I did some research and Winnie Couture came up as a top bridal salon in the LA area. I was a little hesitant at first about inquiring because I figured the prices would be out of this world with it being in Beverly Hills and I'm not hugely into the idea of a typical wedding gown. However, I decided to give the place a call and got the most wonderful person on the phone, Sarai. She asked me great questions about what I was looking for, what my venue was like etc. I did not have my venue picked out but I gave her the names of the places I was considering and she was nice enough to do some research on them! Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of champagne. Sarai made me feel really comfortable in the store. She gave me free reign and then helped me get into the wedding gowns. I fell absolutely in love with the first dress I tried on! Literally spent two hours in it because I was shocked on how much I liked it. In addition, I came back with my parents and sister the following week (still love the dress). I would definitely recommend Winnie Couture as a must-see for all brides shopping for dresses in LA! I live in London now, but I returned home to LA to buy a dress because I knew there were more boutiques in LA that suited my style. And even though I saw some gorgeous dresses at various boutiques and stores, I ended up buying from Winnie. Details of my experience, in case this helps anyone: Sarai was the perfect dress consultant: friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the dresses, and she never pressured me or rushed me to make a decision. I ended up coming back to Winnie a week later because I needed to try on the dress again before I could make my decision, and she fit me in and made time for me at the last minute, before my flight back to London! I really appreciated her patience and her efforts to help me be 100% happy before buying anything. There was one skirt that was a huge standout and unlike anything I tried on anywhere else (Saks, Monique Lhuillier, Nordstrom, Lauren Elaine) but I wasn't sold on the bodice or the fit. Winnie allows you to mix and match parts of different dresses to create a new dress (for an extra but reasonable charge) so I took the bodice from one dress and put it onto a skirt from another dress, which meant that I am getting a custom dress. :). Sarai showed me exactly how it would look by holding up the skirt I liked over the bodice I liked, and she is an expert because it looks like one dress in the pictures! Other reasons to recommend Winnie: they have a huge selection of stunning and dramatic dresses in a wide variety of styles and materials, so it's perfect if you want to try on a range of designs. Even though I thought I knew what I wanted, it was still helpful to try a few dresses that didn't exactly match what I had in my head; for me, that was the only way to narrow down what I actually wanted. I ended up getting a dress that had elements of what I envisioned, but turned out even better than I thought. Also, the prices are quite reasonable (for a wedding dress), since I think they start around $2k. To sum it up, I think Winnie was one of the best places I went to and even if I hadn't bought a dress there, I would still recommend it. read more

I worked with the floor manager and she was so amazing! This was my first appointment of the day and first time trying on dresses, so I was so grateful she was patient and awesome at reading what would look good on my body. I always had in my mind I wouldn't go for strapless and that I would prefer something with sleeves or an interesting back. I had nixed all the strapless dresses from the start but, luckily my stylist had vision and she convinced my to try on strapless as well since everything could be customized to have added sleeves. She wasn't at all pushy, though. The first dress I tried on was one of hers. She started to add sleeves and a custom back with some extra lace fabric that was lying around, and I gotta say it was a genius move. The strapless dress I wasn't going to consider from the rack was turning into exactly what I wanted. I'm so glad she had vision, because I never would of picked up the dress myself. I didn't buy it right away since it was the first dress (at the first place!) I had ever tried on. But after visiting four other stores, trying on close to 50 dresses, I went back to Winnie for it because nothing else even came close to it! I returned the same night without an appointment right before they closed and they let me put it back on. My stylist was awesome, took the time to measure me, offered my family champagne again, and was so amazing to work with even though I returned as they were closing up. She was also very cool about the budget. I was flexible, so she could of pushed for a higher sale item without any worries, but she didn't try to up-sale just for the sake of getting a higher price. In fact, without me even asking for this, she gave me two different pricing break-outs which varied based on the type of lining fabric (a price difference of $1500!). I personally didn't even notice the lining fabric so I'd be happy with anything, whether it was the floor sample's lining (it happened to be one of the more expensive choices) or any other alternative lining (I honestly don't think I could tell the difference). Luckily she was the sweetest person ever simply looking out for me, and she saved me $1500. She also applied the 15% discount even though I didn't buy it right away during my original appointment. I'm so happy I went to Winnie. Utmost professional in every way, total visionaries, and honestly just trying to make a bride happy. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 130pm. I arrived at that time and opened the door to the office space. A lady quickly came to the door and said jenna was with another customer and didn't allow us in. She pulled a single chair into the hallway for us to wait. My mom sat and I stood for 25 minutes past my appointment time. Noone bothered to come check on us to let us know how much longer it may be. So we left. From my first trip with my bridesmaids, to the final "Yes" with my mom there, our girl Nina was patient, helpful, fast and kind every step of the way. She took my budget into consideration, picked out the most gorgeous gowns to my tastes, and when I finally decided, took the measurements and went over everything in detail. She definitely knows what she's doing and she picked a variety of dresses for me to try on that were all very flattering on my figure. I found a dress that I liked very much but was not 100% sure that it was the dress for me. Monika provided me with a pricing breakdown and offered ways to reduce the pricing based on the use of a different liner, length, etc. She was encouraging but not pushy. She was very patient with me and she respected my decision to keep looking. Customer service is far below what I expected. I made an appointment a week in advance. When I arrived at my appointment there were no employees to be found, not because they were helping other clients but because all three were in the back. After about 7 minutes, a girl came out to "greet us". She seemed surprised to see us, even though we confirmed our appointment. She did not shake our hands, ask for our names, or ask if we'd like anything to drink. After filling out their questionnaire , Kimia came out to greet us and start pulling dresses. She listened to what I was looking for, however she was very quiet the entire appointment. At that point I had been to 7 bridal appointments and each appointment was filled with several wedding related questions and good candor back and forth. I received none of that here. The entire appointment felt awkward due to minimal engagement and lack of etiquette on their end. Needless to say my mother and I agreed we would not give Winnie Couture our business. read more

I almost bought my dress from Winnie had it not been for the over-budget pricetag that came with having to alter it the way I wanted. This shop is huge, spacious and beautiful, with dresses lining the walls and comfy interior design. The sales associates and stylists are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. My stylist was Pamela and she was great! She picked out several beautiful gowns for me to try on and talked me through each dress. What I liked...what I didn't like...how could Winnie make the dress my dream dress? They really try to figure out what you are looking for and why you like certain things and don't like others. They spend a lot of time with you and don't rush you or make you feel pressured to buy. I was very close to getting my dress here but it would have put me severely over budget because I wanted to make some major adjustments to one of their gowns. Before arriving to Winnie Couture I was skeptical to confirm an appoinment because I was worried about the price point and didn't want to end up in tears loving something I couldn't budget into my wedding day. My mom insisted that I make an appoinment and agreed to book an appoinment at the LA expo . Flash, forward to my appointment day on 2/17/18. As I prepared to leave for my appoinment I was in a panic because I was running late (insert first meltdown (. I zig zagged through traffic with my mom (safely) from my little city in Orange County to Beverly hills having mini internal meltdowns for an appoinment that I thought would be been taken off the books. Before I arrived one of my brides arrived first letting me know that they would still fit me in ( I could finally breathe). When I walked in I was happily greeted and my party was offered champagne ( Yes, please since I missed breakfast ). Everything in the shop was beautifully decorated with ornate chandeliers and crushed pink velvet button tucked mirrors. The details throughout were beautiful.I was greeted by my stylist Jenna who guided us to the sitting area in front the viewing platform . She listened to my interests and let choose all my dresses (The fun part). All the dresses were neatly organized and shoppable. I never felt rushed or pushed into trying something I didn't want ( Ok, maybe by mom, just be open to it ) to try on. I let my mom know and Jenna know that I would be open to try on what my mom wanted, Jenna understood. I tried on my mom's selected pieces, I wasn't feeling it ( sorry mom) .My bridesmaid helped me whip my interested and options into place for me . After trying on many beautiful dress. I found the one that felt right and made me invision myself walking down the aisle on my wedding day. Jenna selected various cathedral veils for me to try on and pieced together some jewerly options. Everything was amazing. The numbers were reviewed and I had step out of the shop to review the numbers with my fiance (Yes, I was stepping outside the budget). I wanted the dress so badly, he wasn't buying it at first . Flash forward to after lunch and returning back to the shop . I was greeted by Jenna once more and requested to try on the dress one more time. This was dress! I frantically text messaged my fiance that I loved the dress and this was it for me (started to feel weak at the knees). In the end I ended up saying Yes to The Dress and the veil( insert tears here) ! I had amazing experience at Winnie Couture, Jenna was so amazing during the entire experience. I went to purchase a wedding dress the sales associate gave my family & I the feeling of racial profile, I am Native American/Hispanic. I am not the "norm" in Beverly Hills but I was expecting the same customer services as the other ladies, we were not treated the same way others in the store where treated. One sales associate made a remark saying "way waste your time when "they" are not going to buy anything" I was shocked but didn't want to ruin my day so I ignored her comment, the same associate was giving my family & I dirty looks while we were in the store trying on dresses, I have pictures that show her making faces at my family & I. This was supposed to be a special day for me & my family. When I told Ellie about this she apologized and said when I come in to pick up my dress she will have VIP room for me & my family along with champagne.I then told her that was not necessary that is the treatment we should have had in the first place. We felt so humiliated, insulted that in this day and age this is still happening I was measured by Rachael for my wedding dress paid the deposit. I was told that the measurement would would be my EXACT size the only concern Rachael(their employee) had was the length because I am short & the dresses are made standard 5'8 & I am 5'1 Rachael assured me everything will fit & I would not need other alterations other then length. I went to pick up my dress & it did not fit on the top breast area. The manager Ellie told me it could have been because I was measured with a bra on, but I did not have a bra on during my measurements Rachael said she need to measure from my nipple to shoulder blade, left side & right side so we would have the exact size of my bust & NO OTHER ALTERATIONS WILL BE NEEDED.I have paid close to five thousand for my dress to fit and it does not, Ellie told me it would be an ADDITIONAL charge to get it fixed. Beware they just take your money and wish you good luck. None of the employees are on the same page. I went back in forth for days emailing finally got a response after my 3rd email. if you are not Caucasian with blue eyes and blonde hair this is not your store. It was a awful experience for my family and I. I did end up getting my dress here despite all the drama only because they would not refund my deposit.
