5 star experience experience except our waiter was lackluster and it was a little off-putting. Before anything, I was a waitress. While my peers were working to get that money for fancy clothes and phones, I was giving money to my younger brother by the fistfuls and saving all I can. All I can. I took all the tables my coworkers didn't and I had my tips stacking up. Good times. Also, if I didn't feel good or have an emergency I stayed home. Not a big deal.....I had been stashing the case anyways so I never panicked. Ok, enough of that. We started off with our waiters pick for appetizers which was the spinach dip. It was so delicious. Your typical great spinach dip but 10 times better. They didn't cut it with cheap parmesan to stretch it and it was balanced in flavor 20/10. Yummy in my tummy. They have a lobster roll sushi that sounded fantastic but decided on 1 appetizer. For entrees I got the spinach stuffed chicken. It was between the chicken Royale. I'm not a fan of ordering chicken when going out to steak houses, seems so basic. However, when I go back I will definitely choose the chicken Royale. Yumz. My salmon was cooked perfectly. Recommended by the waiter ( our waiter was good, I would dine with him again. He just seemed worried and we took that into consideration but he gave us great information. He didn't just recommend the most expensive cut on the menu. He put though into it. So yes, my salmon was great. Very tasty and noy stuffed with the same spinach dip as an appetizer. It was topped crab and sat on a bed of all dente asparagus that just need a few shakes of black pepper, it was a great menu. My sister ordered the pineapple teriyaki steak. It was very good except she asked for medium and I knew medium rare was going to be better in that 48 hour marinated steak. I just knew it would cut like butter and be oh so buttery and juicy! True enough the inside of the steak was well done. Well, she really enjoed her medium rare steak. I tried and hardly had to chew it 20/10. I'm taking everyone here, lol. It wasn't my birthday but my birthday is coming close and one thing my sister LOVES is planning a birthday surprise to celebrate your life. She puts a lot of though into what each person would like by the menu and this time she most definitely picked the best establishment. We will be going to the one in Dallas as well! Come here now, hurry up!
Another happy hour date but this time, it was on a Friday at Winsome Prime. My friends had been here before for dinner but this was my first time. We got there at 4pm and to our surprise, the door was locked and there were two patrons waiting outside ahead of us. One of the staff member opened the door around 4:04pm, but that 4 minute wait was slightly off-putting. We made the false assumption that they opened before 4pm but nonetheless the door should've been open. We were able to get seats at the bar but word of advice, if you want to enjoy happy hour, get here right at 4pm because the bar filled up quick. The happy hour menu is very limited, but we ordered 3 out of the 4 things on the menu. We got the shrimp, spinach artichoke and my friends got the wings. I ordered fries as well but they never came out and I'm glad they didn't because they are shaped like onion rings. The food was good, the service was mediocre, but the vibes were decent. There was a DJ as well so that added to the overall experience. One thing they need to do is change those barstools. They are literally peeling off the seats and that does not leave a good impression.
New go to when I'm out in the Houston area! Beautifully decorated space and I received service pretty quickly at the bar. The bartenders were amazing and very attentive. I had the happy hour Truffle Lemon Pepper wings and a side of the Parmesan Truffle fries. The fries were actually a form of what looked like potato wedges? I wasn't a huge fan of the cut but the flavor was still so delicious! The wings were great too. Hoping for another Houston trip soon so that I can visit again!!
I want to say 3.8 stars. So they only had patio reservations left and there are 2 patios. A covered one with fans and a front space without fans that is very snug. It was hot and a fan would've been helpful although there isn't much space for that. We had to wait for a table with a reservation. We waited about 10 min. There was a camera man videoing everything and everyone and we had to actively try to stay out of the video as we did not want to be filmed. We decided to get several apps and drinks. The food was good. The truffle fries came with ranch and ketchup instead of an aioli. They don't really have mocktails besides a virgin mojito. You can park in the shopping center lot for free. It was my birthday dinner and I put it on the reservation but they didn't bring out a candle, say happy birthday or anything. Which was disappointing because I saw someone at the bar get a birthday dessert. I think I would come back but definitely need to be sitting inside. Service was a little slow but not sure if this is only on the patio.
Reservations for 8:30pm. Valet parking extremely fair priced. Open door service, as I went on a Thursday. Not very busy and no wait time to be seated. Excellent choices offered by the server. I went with the stuffed spinach salmon and the lobster along with a side of collard greens. All tasted delicious and a 5 star in my opinion. The inside decor was nice and I have plans to visit the Dallas location for a variance between the two. I've been wanting to try Winsome prime from fellow friends giving a rave review of the Dallas Winsome. All in all, the ambiance was warm and relaxing. Customer service was excellent and the food hit every tastebud in my mouth. I would recommend to others. Thank you for a great time.
Winsome is such a hit! Beautiful space and on a Monday they had a bumping dj who played great R&B tunes. I sat at the bar and ordered the sparkling champagne, shrimp appetizer and lemon pepper chicken appetizer all from the happy hour menu! All of these items were $7 each. I also ordered a tuna roll ($15) which was surprisingly the best thing I ordered. It was so fresh with a hint of spice! I arrived right at the start of happy hour 4pm and it soon started to fill up at the bar. Service was friendly. I enjoyed chatting with the bartenders but she definitely needed help as the space filled up. Happy hour portions are extremely small so I would come back for a nice drink or also order dinner as well. Highly recommend Winsome for date nights, happy hour with the girls or dinner. The actually menu looks great too. I got the rum cake to go but they forgot to give me my ice cream and it came out cold so I would need to come back and try it. Definitely how they gave it to me I would not spend $15 on this dessert.
Great service--Les was top-notch! The food was amazing. This was our first time dining here, and we decided to give it a try since it was the first day of Houston Restaurant Weeks 2026. It definitely won't be our last visit. We'll absolutely be back!
First visit with Mother's Day reservations, seated within 5 minutes, packed venue, live music, ushered to covered patio with fans. I began to sweat. Consider adding a wall mounted a/c and close in the covered patio. Both valet and free parking in the same shopping strip center parking lot. When I reserved dining, I didn't see option for seating, just special message request. Requested seating indoors once seated in the coverered patio for a few minutes. We jumped at the opportunity when the manager said 3 bar seats available next to patio. door. Manager didn't remove any of the used plates and drinks left at the bar before we sat. I called over the bartender, Pablo, to ask him nicely to clean our bar area. He brought us out new water glasses, napkins, and made us feel special! Thanks Pablo for turning this day around! 10/10 We ordered delicious crab beignets, sweet potato waffles, and burgers. 5/5 Great 3 member live band at start and end of our meal. 5/5 They took their break during our entire visit. R& B played throughout.
SOLID!! That's the best word to describe my experience here. Rock Solid! I recently went here for a company dinner and had heard from a friend that it was good, so I was looking forward to it. The TLDR of here is that they have a great, helpful wait staff, nice interior layout with good musical vibes and some really good food at reasonable prices. Plus it's in an area that has easy open parking if you want to skip doing valet. The first thing that I appreciated was that I found a regular parking spot near the front of the restaurant when I pulled up. Valet is cool but it's nice when you don't have to use it. With a shopping center nearby I'm sure there's always free parking near if you don't want to valet. Walking up the exterior design is nice and it carries over to the interior. I feel like the seating allows you to feel secluded enough while still being able to observe around you. I always appreciate an open kitchen so that was a plus for me as well. They had some nice tunes playing to really wrap up the ambiance. Our wait staff was helpful and to me kept a good balance of being present without being overbearing, especially with a larger group. As this was an end of year holiday dinner, we took a group photo in front of the Christmas tree and one of the bartenders helped by taking the photos for us. For food I had the Dip, Chili Glazed Gulf Shrimp and the Lobster Truffle Roll to start. The dip was pretty solid and it came was nice sturdy tortilla chips for them. The dip was more thick than thin and had a decent flavor to it. The shrimp were a good size and seasoned well with a sweet and savory taste. The lobster roll was my favorite of the three. It has a nice balanced flavor without anything overtaking anything else in the roll. I'm a gin drinker and as they didn't have a gin cocktail I wanted to try i got a Negroni. It wasn't my favorite but as it wasn't on the menu, no harm, no foul. I also got a pineapple juice with puree drink made to go with my food and that was pretty good. I always appreciate a place that gives no issue with ordering off menu. For my main I went with the Hawaiian Ribeye on a medium. The steak left a little to be desired doneness but it was a well seasoned flavorful steak. It was paired with charred pineapple cuts and small potatoes. Both of those went well with the steak and completed the meal. I also had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and Broccolini as sides. The broccolini personally didn't have much flavor but the lobster Mac had nice sized lobster pieces compared to some others that I've had. Everyone with me seemed to also enjoy their meals. We did have someone try the Collard Greens Risotto and they didn't like it but it was actually okay to me. This is a place that didn't knock it out of the park flavor wise for me but it delivered more than a decent amount of good food. Overall it was a really pleasant experience from top to bottom.
I ate here one evening with a work colleague. I showed up with a reservation for an early dinner and the restaurant only had a few occupied tables. We were greeted and seated immediately and were able to review the menu. The sound system was on and they sure have good speakers. Conversation was tough so we asked them to turn our speaker off and they accommodated. I decided to order a Caesar salad, Hawaiian Ribeye (marinated in Teriyaki sauce and served with grilled pineapple on top) and roasted potatoes. We shared three cheese mac and broccolini. Overall, the food was good. This was my first time ordering a sweet ribeye. The experience eating a sweet ribeye was different. I didn't love it or hate it, just different. The service was good as well. By the time we were ready to leave the restaurant was almost full. The restaurant was nice and the service was good. Four stars!
Celebrated a birthday at Winsome Prime and certainly appreciated the experience! First, the ambience! Such a beautifully decorated restaurant. You immediately step into an elevated, luxury vibe. Soft music filled the room, not too loud but just enough to add to the ambience. Now onto service - our server was amazing! I wish I'd wrote his name down to give him the proper kudos again as he was that great! As it was my group's first time dining, he made sure to give us a thorough rundown of everything as well as recommendations. He also checked on us often without overwhelm which is always appreciated. Food - delicious! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Also, I really appreciated a dedicated vegan menu as that is hard to come across in fine dining. *Steaks received 10s by all who ordered *Salmon also received a 10 *I had the vegan squashing "beef" - very flavorful *everyone also raved about the sides and apps (honorable mentions were the crab beignets & the lobster mac and cheese) *the complimentary slice of cake (huge!) with a sparkler sent out to the birthday girl was such a sweet touch and was also delicious!
My fiancé and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were in Houston for the weekend. My sister recommended Winsome Prime as a nice restaurant for us to go to for their intimate setting and romantic ambiance. We throughly enjoyed this restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options with soft music playing in the background. We were served by Pablo who gave us superb service. He made great recommendations and made sure we were tended to while we sat outside. Now let's get into this food. The collard green stuffed oysters were so good I ordered them twice. They were so flavorful and had a very intriguing taste given that this isn't a combination you would normally pair together. The spinach stuffed salmon was also a very good item on the menu. Creamy, warm and tender. Additionally, as a Ceasar salad connoisseur, their version is definitely high up on my lift. And lastly, the yummy cocktails! I enjoyed all three cocktails we ordered, A Star is Born, Mojito and espresso martini, not too strong but also not too sweet. A very good mix of liquor and flavor. Winsome Prime is a great choice for a romantic date night out or just grabbing a bite to eat with good company.

We came here for houston restaurant weeks. Arturo was our server and he did a splendid job. Such a nice guy and he really took care of us. We were seated outside and it was quiet for the most part with a good environment to eat. We started with the crab beignets and spinach dip. I can say the dip was really good. The beignets left some to be desired. Its not quite what we were expecting. Think more boudin ball vs beignet. The chili sauce that came with it definitely livened it up. We also ordered the smoked old fashion and the espresso martini(not the one with tequila) both solid drinks. The espresso martini is potent in a good way. The old fashion was made correctly and the smoke was a good addition. Next we had the chicken royale and the Hawaiian ribeye. The chicken royale was really good. The potatoes were creamy and flavorful, the chicken was very good and had good flavor. Between Arturo and the ribeye, this is why they get 5 stars. The ribeye was allllll the way worth it. Smashed potatoes as sides. Crispy and the perfect pairing. I could eat that ribeye every day and will need to work in pineapple into my steak nights at home. Finally, we had the rum cake. Great way to end the night. We are both fans of any type of butter cake and this hit the spot. Ice cream to cut through the richness of the cake. Great dessert. A great experience. Great night. Restaurant Week brought me to Winsome Prime, and I'm already planning my return! The atmosphere was beautiful, the music was ON POINT, and the Restaurant Week menu had so many great options. Three courses for $55 felt like such a good deal for the experience and quality of the food. And a huge shoutout to our server, Chris! He was incredibly attentive, accommodating, and made the entire experience even better. Great food + great music + great service + gorgeous vibes = absolutely worth the visit. read more

Food was pretty good not too bad however sadly right after the meal finished we did spot a roach as we were ready to get up and leave, and it's just not something you expect to see after paying 250+ for a dinner for 2 ppl. After telling the manager we just left but will not be returning. read more

I recently visited this steakhouse for dinner with a large group of friends to celebrate an upcoming wedding. It definitely feels like an upscale restaurant, and the atmosphere inside is relaxed, intimate, and well suited for special occasions. Our party was about 12 people and we were seated across two tables, but we were still able to enjoy the evening together and had a great time celebrating. One detail I thought was unique is that photographers walk around the restaurant offering to take pictures for guests. If you like the photo, you have the option to purchase it afterward, which is a nice way to commemorate a special night. For my meal, I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon along with the New York Strip and grilled asparagus. The food itself was excellent--well seasoned, well prepared, and very flavorful. The portion was generous enough that I ended up taking some of it to go. The reason I am giving three stars comes down to the service. Although the food and ambiance were great, our server did not seem particularly welcoming at the beginning of the evening. We barely saw him at first, and when he came to take our orders there was very little patience. It felt somewhat rushed, as if we were expected to order quickly, eat, and move along. Toward the end of the evening the interaction improved, but the initial service set the tone for the experience. To be fair, the restaurant was very busy and I understand that the staff may have been managing multiple tables. However, the level of hospitality did not fully match the upscale environment the restaurant presents. Overall, the food was outstanding and the ambiance--especially celebrating with family and friends--was excellent. Unfortunately, the service experience brought the overall rating down to three stars. read more

Never knew Winsome Prime existed until we saw the listing on HRW. Service felt slow at first for a half filled restaurant, but the pacing picked up after food orders were placed. Started with a cocktail, Fight Risk (Grey Goose Vodka, pineapple juice, super yuzu, Thai basil syrup) - refreshing Appetizer: char-boiled oysters (6pc of varying size) HRW 1st Course: - chili glazed shrimp: delicious, good quality shrimp - Crab beignets: ok, texture was not like a beignet 2nd Course: - Hawaiian Ribeye was savory; ordered medium but it came out more medium rare - sides of crispy herb potatoes were unique Sides: Brussel sprouts - delicious 3rd Course/Desserts: - each served with ice cream - French toast bread pudding was my favorite! - Rum Butter cake was alright Heads up, tipping is automatically 20%. Winsome Prime - Houston Great Vibes, Great Service... Just Wish the Flavors Hit Harder Winsome Prime is on the edge of a strip center with plenty of parking, so valet really isn't necessary. Inside, the space is cozy and modern with darker tones, wood accents, and a great R&B playlist that keeps the room lively but still easy to talk. Service was the highlight of the evening. Our server was attentive, knew the menu well, and made good recommendations. When they found out we were celebrating, the restaurant brought out a complimentary slice of rainbow cake, which was a nice touch. We started with the Bacon Jam Wagyu Sliders. Two sliders with bacon jam, sriracha mayo, and pickles. These were very tasty and probably the most memorable bite of the night. The Flight Risk cocktail was refreshing but very pineapple forward. It includes Grey Goose vodka, super yuzu, and Thai basil syrup, but those flavors didn't really stand out. The Snapper Orleans was well cooked. It's a blackened snapper filet over collard green risotto with an Orleans sauce with crab and one shrimp. The fish was nicely prepared, but the risotto had no real hint of collards, either visually or in flavor. The Chicken Royal was a pan seared airline chicken breast stuffed with boudin, rice, cheeses, spinach, and peppers, served over mashed potatoes with mushroom royale sauce. It was good, but like several dishes, the flavors felt a bit restrained. Overall, we expected more punch than what came through. Dessert was the biggest disappointment. The Rum Butter Cake surprisingly had no rum or butter flavor. Overall, the food was good but didn't quite rise to the price point. The restaurant stands out more for its service and atmosphere than bold flavors. Ratings from our visit: Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Food: 4 Bathrooms: 4 (clean with a push door for hands free exit) I wouldn't make a special trip across town for the food, but I would go back if I were nearby. Met up here with friends yesterday, a total of 9 persons, to be exact. Ambiance is Nice, with a bar to the right as soon as you walk in. Dress code is enforced so make sure to look it up before you come. We were seated at one of the booths on the platform and they gave us an additional table for overflow. We were able to sit 7 in the booth comfortably and we are all average size. My friends and I like to order all different things and eat family style. Apps: Crab beignets, artichoke dip, shrimp cocktail crispy cauliflower, truffle fries Entrees: Jerk Lamb chops, Stuffed Chicken Wings, Grilled fish w/risotto, Spaghetti squash veggie pasta Sides:Collards/ Mac & Cheese Drinks: Smoked old fashion/French75 I was disappointed with the Beignets, as that's was I was most looking forward to. The consistency was off and it was more like a fritter than a fluffy Beignet. Also, the Asian sauce just throws everything off. It would be better with a very acidic remoulade, in my opinion. Mac & cheese was my best bite. I would probably go back if I'm in the area for convenience, but I didn't try anything that would make me drive from Shadow Creek this time. Came for happy hour. We tried a couple of their $7 cocktails -- lemon drop and classic margarita. Both were great. We also go the chili shrimp and truffle lemon pepper wings off the HH menu -- they were pretty good also. Also tried the side of truffle fries, which I didn't exact to like as much as I did, because they weren't traditional fries. Staff were supper friendly. Ambiance was pretty good too. I saw a bunch of glowing reviews about this restaurant and I made reservations to take my wife for her birthday. Then I saw a few reviews that spoke kinda bad about this place and I almost canceled my reservation and I'm glad I didn't. We couldn't have been more happy. The food was outstanding and the staff were very respectful and thorough. The jerk lamb chops we stellar and the ribeye was slapping. They had r and b jamming the whole time and it was a vibe. My only complaint was the gratuity but other than that we were quite happy. read more

Enjoyed brunch in a Sunday after service. Surprisingly the wait wasn't long at all. Amongst the table we had the butter pecan waffle , sweet potato chicken & waffles and shrimp and grits. First of all, Ajah was AMAZING, her recommendations were absolutely amazing! We had seen a tiktok of the food and we knew we had to come here for my birthday dinner. The staff helped us identify the exact meal we saw in that video. We loved every single thing we ordered! Honorable mention: the hawaiian ribeye! Bursting with flavor and sooo juicy! Upon entering, you're welcomed by a beautiful bar display on your right and plenty of seating to your left. The hostess and servers were all incredibly kind and welcoming. I met my Uncle here who has never tried Soul food, and it certainly did not disappoint. We ordered the avocado toast and the truffle lemon pepper wings. At first, I was skeptical about cutting into the soft bread, but it was surprisingly easy to eat without creating any crumbs and delicious. We also chose the chicken and waffles, as well as the shrimp and grits, both of which were fantastic. The shrimp and grits weren't too dry or overly saucy. I highly recommend trying their brunch and cocktails for a delightful taste of soul food. read more

Arturo our server was great. I thoroughly enjoyed my Hawaiian ribeye as well as the Brussels and broccolini. Lemon drop was good, and the oysters that were chargrilled was good too. I went in today to Winsome Prime (formally known as Warwick) for the business lunch (2 course for $25). Jo Jo my bartender and server was super cool! He made sure everything was good on my end. My first course was the gumbo. It was decent. Me being from New Orleans...it doesn't taste like authentic New Orleans cuisine. It wasn't the worst, nor the best. It was just fair. Even when it came to the cut and size of the chicken and sausage it was different. My second course was the ribs. It was tasty. The barbecue sauce was perfect! The French fries was SUPER plan (no salt to taste). Just plan Jane... The ambience is always nice!!! I took advantage of the happy hour drink. This was my second visit! Formerly known as "The Warwick", Winsome Prime recently changed its name b/c of its expansion into the Dallas market, where a "Warwick" hotel already existed. Thanks to our welcoming and patient waiter, Tyrone, we learned this tidbit of info during a friend's small birthday dinner on a jam-packed Saturday night. We made reservations and were quickly seated after waiting at the bar for less than 5 min. (In that short time frame, the bartenders were eager to provide us with menus and ice-cold water to cool off from the Houston night humidity). From there, Tyrone unhesitantly shared all of the menu favorites -- the $150 martini tree (feat. Casa Migos and 6 martini glasses) gave the table a good laugh -- I don't understand how that price could ever be justified, even in a swanky place like WP where the playlist and service are consistent and perfect for a girls' night out, date night, or any kind of celebratory brunch or dinner. We loved every single thing we ordered! - [ ] * The jam-crusted and bacon-topped brussl sprouts were sweet and savory - [ ] * The 3-cheese mac was creamy and just enough to share - [ ] * The Rockefeller oysters (mixed with collard greens!) were unique and seasoned to perfection - [ ] * the Orleans Snapper, though more like a filet, was full of flavor, too, and not too heavy on the cajun flair, and the accompanying shrimp (2) were nice add-ons - [ ] * the stuffed salmon (what I've ordered 3x now) was just as good as I remember from last time and the time before last, though I wish it was either 1) possible to swap out the asparagus it comes with for the brussel sprouts or 2) receive more than 3 asparagus pieces While Tyrone was extremlely nice, I do think he could've used a bit more help since there were times when our water and soda were not refilled. To his credit, he was managing two other much larger parties and maintained a great demeanor the entire time. When asked, he was happy to have my friend receive the notorious rainbow birthday cake with ice cream and cotton candy on the side at no additional cost. You know you're getting older when your taste buds can't take more than a single fork full of the cake, but boy! does it make for a good "I need something sweet" dessert late in the midnight hour, LOL. In short, I'll always recommend the Warwick/Winsome Prime, no matter the occassion. The food and service are consistent, as is the $8 valet parking that's easy to forego given all of the avaiilable nearby street parking. read more

We came here for our last night at Houston dinner; I'm so glad we did. The customer service was amazing! Very warm and answered all our random food questions. The restaurant is beautiful; a bit chilly but I know I'm in Houston and their AC is always on. The food was so delicious! Southern style elevated cuisines. I enjoyed everything but couldn't eat it at all as much as I wanted to lol. I had a roll, we shared macaroni and cheese and someone got a delicious steak. All the choices were so tasty. Definitely check this place out for a date night, celebration or visiting out of town lol. read more

Came with a friend for dinner and we enjoyed ourselves as the atmosphere was nice. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately and ordered. My friend ordered from their vegan menu and I ordered their lemon pepper wings, fries, and Cesar salad. We also ordered mocktails to try out. The customer service was great and food decent. read more

My favorite meal in Houston was at Winsome Prime, which was formerly known as the Warwick when I ate there. I highly recommend their Hot Chicken Sandwich, which was fried to perfection and bursting with flavor. Had a birthday reservation there & they went above & beyond! The service was amazing our drinks never went low, water always filled! Arturo was our server & he was super friendly & amazing! Recommended the best items on the menu! If you have the opportunity to have Arturo you'll have a great night! Service is amazing! The manager came out & asked if everything was good we even met the chef as well! Now for the best part the food! We got the pasta, snapper, salmon & lamb chops! Everything was amazing! We're from Vegas & that was one of the best lamb chops my husband ever had! Definitely recommend the food, ambiance & service of this restaurant! read more
