Sliders and alligator - get the fish sliders and not the cheeseburger ones. Alligator was good!
Jeannie K.

Checked out the happy hour. The food was mostly ok. - The bao (bready part) of the short rib bao was straight up hard. 1.5/5 - The baked oyster trio ($12 for 3) were good but raw oysters could have been shucked cleaner. Good mignonette though. - Fried fish sliders were good, cheeseburger sliders were not. The pan-grilled bread was also burnt. Amateur. - Tried alligator for the first time and really liked the chewy bites! So the food would've been 3.5 overall, even 4 if without the short rib bao and cheeseburger sliders. Edit: I just remembered. The slice of chocolate cake was massive and pretty good. It's like eating a giant Ferrero Rocher. But I'm disappointed by the attitudes of the team. The manager was the exception - warm, friendly. The rest of the staff: weirdly cold and snooty. Our server warmed up, but I think it must be the vibe between coworkers there, which is often set top-down and by the team culture. Either way, I'm not going back. Felt stressful just being in the midst of that. Nice space though with a spread of fish on site if a bit too dark for my tastes (for the dining room, not happy hour area). I do wonder how often the big fish on ice get switched out considering the dining room was empty when I arrived at 5:30pm on a Monday. $9 for required valet.

Over the past five days we've tried Willie Gs at the galleria , Landrys in Galveston and Willie gs in Galveston. They are all great but this location is my favorite! All by the same owner but all unique restaurants and experiences! Food: the Cajun pasta is special! Full of flavor and made to perfection! That's probably my favorite dish. The andouille sausage is so dam good! The fried alligator is Amani's. So are the mini cheeseburger sliders! sushi amazing! The short rib was phenomenal! Great food. Solid service. Valet What more can you ask for.

This was our first time visiting for brunch overall had a good experience minus the service from our waiter. Who didn't seem to know much about the brunch menu as they stated this is not the usual shift they work so they weren't helpful at all when it came to questions. Very disappointing. Other than that, the food was amazing. Loved the braised, short rib and grits as well as the bourbon street pasta. We had the steak egg rolls for our appetizer which we learned was recently added to the menu. I thought they were good, especially with the dipping sauce, but my sister wasn't a fan of it. Her recommendation was to cook the vegetables a little longer so that they were softer. Thoroughly enjoyed the mimosa with Grand Marnier and also tried peach Bellini, espresso martini and blushing martini. We'll definitely come back for brunch hopefully get a different server this time. Though the restaurant is more upscale decor they have a casual dress code and valet is complimentary up until dinner time.

Spicy margarita - forgot the name.

The food was quite tasty. I came here with a group of folks from work and we all enjoyed. There's a lot of options--I had a little bit of indecisiveness going on, so I asked the waiter and he recommended the spicy tuna. It was a great suggestion and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite! He was fairly attentive, especially as we came in late. I had my spicy margarita, which was quite tasty and a sushi roll. The table ordered calamari, crab & lobster rolls, and crab cakes. Note: The crab cakes photo much larger than they actually are, but they are yummy! The lobster roll was ok, a bit too much mayo to me. Calamari was fine. I left satisfied and I would for sure come here again! :)

Sticky Burnt Ends and Oyster Trash

We visited Willie G's on Easter, and as expected, it was extremely busy. Even with a reservation, we had about a 20-minute wait, which wasn't ideal but understandable given the holiday crowd. Once seated, the experience really picked up. Eric was an excellent waiter--attentive, professional, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. We chose to order from the regular menu instead of brunch, and every dish delivered. The Oyster Trash and Sticky Burnt Ends were standout appetizers--full of flavor and a great start to the meal. For entrées, we had the Bourbon Street Pasta, King Crab Fried Rice, and Pan Seared Salmon, and all were excellent. Everything was well-seasoned, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was nice, but it was definitely loud. There was a lot of movement from guests going back and forth to the buffet, which added to the noise--but it also made for great people watching. Overall, despite the wait and noise level, the food and service made it worth it. We'll definitely be back.

I entertained myself at Willie G's for a mid week after work happy hour. They have quite a few great options in their menu. I stayed with their $10 glass of Sauvignon Blanc. While $10 is definitely not a steal for happy hour especially for Mahu brand it's the going price nowadays so I'll take it. For the food we had the following. Snapper Bites: 10/10- the flavor was delicious. It's grilled which made it even better. The fish was cooked well. Nigiri Trio: 10/10- my guest stated the fish was very fresh and they enjoyed it Crispy Fish Sandwich- 10/10. The toast was yummy, the fish was fried well and it had a lot of flavor. Spicy Tuna Roll- 10/10. The price is good on this and my guest stated again the fish was fresh and it was flavorful Past Oak Rill- 10/10- the price for happy hour is good on this ($10). It was a very flavorful roll The service was good. He was attentive and patient. We got there around 4, and the actual bar was packed. So if you like to sit at the bar you may want to get there in the 3'oclock hour to get a seat. There were plenty of seating options in the bars dining area though.

I was referred by friends to try Willie G's. I booked a reservation here for my birthday. They were able to accommodate a party of eight people for 8:30pm. There is no self parking only valet and it was $8. Once inside the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance. The entry was bright and decorated elegantly. The dining rooms are darker and more intimate. I checked in with the hostess stand, but was not allowed to be seated until half my party arrived. My party size changed at the last minute to a smaller size and the hostess was able to accommodate me with no issues. When we made it to the table it was nicely set and sat us ladies comfortably. Our waiter was Deavyn. She was attentive, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of great suggestions on the menu. Some friends ordered sushi as an appetizer. The sushi looked amazing and they said, "It tasted good and fresh." Some friends ordered the crabs cakes and also thoroughly enjoyed their dish. One friend ordered the seafood pasta and love it. I ordered the Gulf Red Snapper, subbed the broccolini for the crab fried rice. I topped the red snapper with the oyster trash which I highly recommend. I also added a side of brussel sprouts. My meal was delicious, 10/10! The restaurant does provide a complimentary birthday dessert. I chose the butterscotch bread pudding and it was a 10/10!!!!! My friends enjoyed it as well. The service at this restaurant was above and beyond. One of the managers named Trey stopped by our table to check on us and sparked up conversation afterwards. He was very personable like Deavyn. This was a great experience for my birthday and I'm so glad I decided to celebrate at Willie G's. Overall with tip included I spent $102 dollars. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date night, girls night, anniversary/birthday dinners, or just looking for great food/service. I will be back soon to try their brunch menu and other desserts. (This restaurant is not kid friendly. There is no changing table in the men/women bathrooms. I didn't see a kids menu or high chairs.)

Willie G's is an outstanding dining experience. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed, which made the experience more enjoyable. The dessert was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere had an upscale yet welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Willie G's feels like a Houston staple. Easy to get into and good food selection. I have had mixed levels of service but overall not bad. It's good for game day at the bar not the most romantic for a date, but I've enjoyed myself here with friends.

willie g's is definitely a chill vibe. i would best describe willie g's as an upper échelon red lobster with a more diverse menu. the food is fresh and flavorful, the service was fun, friendly, and attentive.. there are no complaints, i would add willie g's to a short list of places that you can depend on going to for quality seafood and service. bonne appétit

Came to Willie Gs for their happy hour with a few friends! We ordered almost every happy hour bite and had several drinks. The food was amazing, came very quickly, was cooked and seasoned very well and extremely flavorful, I don't know which bite was my favorite! The service was great, our server was very attentive and the entire staff was very kind. The ambiance was very warm and quiet, will definitely be back for dinner and future happy hours

Crazy Shrimp Roll

We come here all the time and the place is awesome. The servers and the management really care! We usually sit at the bar and love the oyster bar trash, the post oak roll, the spicy tuna roll, the crazy shrimp roll and the broiled seafood platter. They just added filet mignon egg rolls and they were amazing. I'm surprised their rating isn't higher. It's a nice upscale seafood experience that has something for everyone. Special shout out to Armando and Justin at the bar on Sundays.

Ange R.

Hands down the top seafood spot around! We went for the family-style red snapper, generously stuffed and absolutely delicious. The Brussels sprouts and potatoes made for satisfying sides. The only miss for me was the gumbo, it was a bit too brothy for my taste.

The staircase lined with butcher knives (check out my photos!) is such a unique design element, and the whole restaurant has this upscale, modern vibe. We were seated upstairs at a large round table with an incredible view of the city. As the sun set and the lights came on, it made the whole evening feel even more special. Our server, Michelle, was absolutely fantastic. She was so personable, attentive, and genuinely made our dinner even more enjoyable. Now for the food... wow. We started with the calamari and the burrata, and both were phenomenal. The burrata was unbelievably fresh and creamy, and every accompaniment on the plate complemented it perfectly. You can tell they put a lot of thought into balancing every flavor. Then our entrées arrived, and while my steak was cooked beautifully and all of our sides were delicious, there was one dish that completely stole the show: the Cream Corn Crème Brûlée. I genuinely don't think I've ever had anything like it. It was sweet, savory, creamy, rich, and somehow perfectly balanced all at once. Every single person at our table had to try it, even the ones who initially said they didn't want any, and everyone's reaction was exactly the same: complete disbelief at how good it was. If you only order one side here, make it the Cream Corn Crème Brûlée. It's unforgettable. The only small critique anyone at our table had was that the Brussels sprouts weren't quite as crispy as expected, but honestly, I still enjoyed them. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and some of the best food I've had in a long time. It's absolutely worth the splurge, and I can't wait to come back.

I wish restaurants would move away from the pull apart rolls. I just want crusty bread with good butter. The creme brulee creamed corn was interesting. I think I prefer it savory. Everything was just a little more expensive than I thought it was worth. It's frustrating to want a good glass of white wine but not have many options under $20.

We had the ribeyes, mash potato, mac and cheese, green beans, and French fries. The steak was seasoned perfectly and grilled to the perfect temperature to my liking. We are still talking about it, I can't wait to come back and try their chimichurri sauce. We ended with the strawberry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheese cake.
