I will say, tortillas are good and taste fresh, al pastor from the trompo was crispy, juicy and the sweetness from the pineapple was well balanced. unfortunately the asada was lacking for me. it was dry and the texture was almost like ground beef. we also went at 10ish, not too late, but they didn't have many of the salsas and onions cilantro and someone had to ask them to bring out more. it could have been an off day! and it wasn't a complete miss so ill def see for the next time

It was another Food Truck night in Granada Hills, my father and nephew joined me on the hunt. As is my usual modus operandi I first survey the trucks that have shown up on any particular Friday evening to see which ones pique my interest. On this evening's outing the first truck to catch my eye and olfactory senses was Wise Barbecue, it looked like a very good possibility, I took note of it as we continued down one side of the street and up the other to make sure that we had observed all of this nights offerings. We all agreed that tonight's winner was Wise Barbecue so we headed on over with all due haste. My father and myself both ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Cowboy Beans as a side dish, my nephew ordered the Beef Brisket. Our orders were ready in about 10 minutes, we picked up our meaty bounty and found a place to sit and enjoy this night's meal. My sandwich was good, very tender pork and lots of it, the BBQ sauce was good two. The consensus on all three meals was that this was some good BBQ, everyone was satisfied! read more

Very disappointed. I went here for lunch and the Mac and cheese and the meat on top was like warm at best. The make and cheese did not have much flavor and it was ready in 1 minute. I suggest you save your 11 dollars and try something else. read more

Well i had seen this on Instagram and shared it with him two weeks prior. At first he wanted to go to Nobu or there were a few other high end options, but that is not his style honestly. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.

Again, I work hard for my money, I wanted to support a black owned business, but $40 was honestly given and trash is what I received.
