    Fried chicken biscuit
    Mary I.

This place is amazing! Ive been wanting to go for a while and I'm so happy that I finally did! I HIGHLY encourage everyone to go here. The seating is so nice and reminds me of Georgetown, DC with seating outside. The food is soooo SOO good! I got the fried chicken biscuit and it was so fresh and so clean. My friend and I split it, and I'm happy we did it or it would have been too heavy. The biscuit was so warm and flack and the chicken was so juicy! My only complaint is that I wish there was more honey and the chicken was just a tad too salty. Everything was reasonably priced! My friend got the ginger mint soda (house made) and it was really watered down, so not a fan. Everyone should go here!

This place lives up to the hype. The fried chicken biscuit had incredible crunch and flavor. The build your own biscuit wasn't as good but I think it's because I didn't choose a good combination (I chose egg, sausage and bacon jam). The flavors didn't work. It might be helpful if they have some suggestions for folks with the BYO. There's ample space and seating and going on a Friday morning was a lot less hectic than the weekends probably are.

WOW. Went down in Memorial Day. Waited for about 20-25 in line. Moved well. People were courtesy to not sitting long. Food very good.

simply wow just wow. I mean the wait was long, but boy was it worth it! and the staff was so sweet and checking on us while we waited. Got a counter to seat situation that was odd at first but works so well for them. But the food, oh the food! Lights out breakfast. The honey cornbread cookie is still in my dreams. 10/10. Everything was so good - obviously the biscuits and the fun little biscuit bites were terrific. Go and get anything and you will be forever glad you did.

This has been on my list for a while. I went solo in a Saturday morning. Not the best move as they are so busy on the weekend and we had to wait outside. But because I was solo I got seated fairly quickly at the countertop. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. Plus I got to meet two new people who were also diners. I had the biscuits and gravy. Delicious. I did have to add a little local hot sauce with a side of potatoes. My new friend an engineer from Nigeria recommended the chimichurro 'sauce'. I did have that with the potatoes and it is out of this world. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What a great hidden gem.

Yum! Bold southern flavors on fresh hot biscuits in a charming cafe setting. We found easy street parking in this nice residential part of Pittsburgh. The iced teas were fresh and served generously, and the fried chicken with just a little honey was excellent. Service was quick and friendly.

I took my parents here for Sunday brunch and this place always hits the spot! They enjoyed the Greens, Egg & Ham biscuit sandwich (city ham, egg, braised greens, hot sauce), Johnny Cakes (3 cornmeal pancakes w/ butter & Paul family farm maple syrup), while I stuck with the Biscuit & Sausage Gravy breakfast plate (handmade sausage, warm biscuit, one egg any style). During peak times, my only suggestion would be for the restaurant to display a clearly marked sign along the sidewalk indicating where the line begins. This would help manage crowd control without patrons having to awkwardly patrol each other.

Really enjoyed my recent visit to Wise County Biscuits!! If you can get past the lack of parking and the sometimes long lines then you are in for a delicious treat. Some lines are never worth the wait but this place is for sure. They have a variety of tables and a counter area for seating. My wife got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and I got the Fried Biscuit Sandwich. It was a crispy buttermilk fried farm thigh with some local farm honey, was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've encountered. Biscuit was nice and fluffy and did not fall apart, the chef and the kitchen know exactly what they're doing here. They have an open kitchen so you can see them prepping the sandwiches in addition to trays of freshly baked biscuits, there is a good reason this place is always busy, a true gem in Pittsburgh.

The food and coffee is absolutely delicious! The ordering/seating situation is absolutely asinine. You order at a counter and then they find a table for you. My party of 5 waited in line to get to the register, they let us order drinks but then we had to get into a secondary line to wait again to order food until a table became available. The decor is nice and the staff was friendly, but the weird process put a damper on the visit.

If you go on a beautiful, weekend morning, expect to wait in a line. You order at the register when they determine there is seating open for your party and you take a number back to the table they assign you. The pastries were so good, their grass something special cake was so moist and delicious. I typically get the sausage and biscuit and it just hits the spot.

Holy mother of biscuits! I didn't realize Pittsburgh was in the south?! On our last morning in town before leaving, we decided to come to Wise County Biscuits for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. After placing our order at the counter, we took a seat at a table and waited for our meal. To start, we shared the cinnamon sugar biscuit bites; think biscuit meets churro meets cinnamon sugar doughnut. They were the perfect sweet little appetizer we needed. For my dish, I could not resist the classic biscuits and gravy. To wash it all down I had an iced vanilla coffee. Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum! The biscuits were buttery and flaky without being dense. The gravy had great flavor and it could not have been a more perfect meal. f you are craving some stick to your ribs, delicious breakfast food, this spot needs to be number one on your list.

Wise County Biscuits serves breakfast foods such as biscuit sandwiches, country ham, johnny cakes, grits, and baked goods and lunch foods such as chicken-salad sandwich, burger, and beet salad. It also sells beverages such as coffees and teas and other businesses' packaged foods such as sauces and maple syrups. My husband and I ate breakfast here one time on a weekend morning. The restaurant was busy with other customers. We waited in line for several minutes to place our order, and then an employee assigned a table to us. We drank bottled apple cider and chocolate milk. Our ratings for the foods are as follows: Johnny cakes with apples - 4.5 stars - Three cornmeal pancakes were thick and fluffy and topped with brown-sugar apples and buttermilk cream. Cinnamon-sugar Biscuit Bites - 4.5 stars - These biscuit bites looked like donut holes and had a tasty sweetness. Your Way sandwich - 4 stars - My husband customized his breakfast sandwich to contain scrambled eggs and crispy bacon with the buttermilk biscuit and egg. He prefers breakfast sandwiches that are made from bagels, but he did say that the biscuit tasted very good. Grits - 4 stars - These grits contained cheddar cheese, butter, and pepper and tasted good. The total price was $39 plus tax and tip.

Made to order Biscut sandwich: eggs, pimento cheese and ham. Along with a side of potatoes.

So, actually a guy at the information booth was eating something from here and I asked him where he got it from because it looked very good and he recommended them to me. So we headed their way. Tbh: Every place that we wanted to eat at had a line 25-50 deep and we were super hungry and their line was only like 5-7 people deep which was a blessing. First off, the service in general was kind of crappy, but I understand as it was a hot and very busy day and from what they told my gf at the time they were getting low on food as well and only had a couple items that were left from the menu. After deciding what we wanted which was one of three things my gf at the time ordered us the Mac and Cheese and a container of ranch to take home while I looked for a place for us to eat. So after they handed her our food we headed over to an area with tables and chairs to eat the Mac and Cheese. I must say we both thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of it and my gf at the time isn't even vegan. So that says a lot! I highly recommended it :) FYI: The person who took her order also forgot to give her the container of ranch she paid for. I wasn't made aware that she purchased it until afterwards because my gf at the time wanted to surprise me but they didn't give her a receipt so she had no proof. Oh well, you live and learn, sadly! The vibe on this day was on point so we let the little things go in regards to the crappy service and the shorting us of an overpriced container of ranch fall to the wayside and continued on with our wonderful day, smiling and enjoying the amazing festival and area. If I decide to stop by your food trailer again this year at the festival or whenever I am somewhere you are posted up in front of, I hope you make up for your mistakes from last year because that's the right thing to do.

Christie (@cmnst4 ), the owner, was genuinely so kind when we talked about coming in-warm, easy to chat with, and proud of what they've built. That energy carries through because the staff was extremely friendly and honestly couldn't wait to make up my order. I love that it's an open kitchen. You can see them pressing tortillas, building everything fresh, and actually talk to them while they're making your food. It feels interactive and intentional instead of rushed. We tried a handful of things, but I have to specifically mention the chicken tacos on a corn shell and the quesadilla because they were exactly what I wanted-flavorful, fresh, and done right. Not over-the-top, not trying too hard. Just solid food made by people who care. And that's the kind of spot I'll go back to.
