    fried chicken biscuit with potato's
    Anastasia M.

I've been here twice now, and the biscuits are great! I love the fried chicken biscuit and their fried potato's are delicious! You walk in, wait in line and grab a table after ordering, there's lots to look at in the restaurant while you're waiting, they have a bit of a farmhouse vibe which is just so cute. It seems like the menu has something for everyone!

Cute, casual place. Full service at the counter or you can order at the register and grab a seat to wait for your order. Sausage biscuits and gravy (plus made to order egg) was fantastic. Got 2 biscuits to go - one with homemade jam and the other with pimento. A few open tables and bar seats when I arrived just before 9am on a Sunday (they open at 730am). I looked up at 915am and there were a dozen people lined up to order. Good value.

There's a lot of hype surrounding this restaurant... and it's for good reason. You never know if a long wait for a restaurant means the food is fantastic or if it's just popular. This place is both. I came here on a Friday morning. The line took about 10 minutes. You have to order your food first and then find a table. I can imagine on the weekends the line may be up to 30 minutes long. I ordered a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken and eggs. All the flavors were perfect. It's your classic breakfast sandwich made perfectly. For my drink, I got the hibiscus tea and added their complementary simple syrup, fantastic. Looking at other people's meals, I could tell everything they're probably tasted amazing. I came by myself and sat at the counter. Probably made it a lot easier to find the seat. The waitresses behind the counter were super attentive and will still serve you another drink and water if need be. You could even order an additional dish without standing online again. I didn't stay long because I didn't want to idle while people were waiting for a seat but it does seem like a nice spot to have brunch and keke with Friends.

This place is amazing! Ive been wanting to go for a while and I'm so happy that I finally did! I HIGHLY encourage everyone to go here. The seating is so nice and reminds me of Georgetown, DC with seating outside. The food is soooo SOO good! I got the fried chicken biscuit and it was so fresh and so clean. My friend and I split it, and I'm happy we did it or it would have been too heavy. The biscuit was so warm and flack and the chicken was so juicy! My only complaint is that I wish there was more honey and the chicken was just a tad too salty. Everything was reasonably priced! My friend got the ginger mint soda (house made) and it was really watered down, so not a fan. Everyone should go here!

Visited once prior to this review but visited on a busy Saturday morning. The employees welcomed us in and kept the line in order while we waited to place our food order and sit down. Very cute inside. They have items available to go and their biscuits available to purchase and cook at home. Their employees were super friendly. They took our order efficiently. I got the chili grit bowl which was outstanding (I wasn't aware you could choose how your eggs came on it though - would have definitely got scrambled if I could have chosen but didn't find this out until after the fact)! Seasoned well and good ratio of ingredients. I also got an iced ginger & honey coffee - it was good but wish it had more of the honey flavor come through. We were able to sit and eat together - the employees got those us who needed to-go containers taken care of and we were on our way within 30 minutes. Great experience and will definitely be back!

This food was simply amazing! I am a breakfast snob, and this food was again simply amazing! I didn't have to wait long for a table, the place on a Saturday morning was jumping, but you had people at the counter and at tables! I got the two eggs breakfast with a biscuit and sausage patty. Again the food was delicious! The restaurant was clean , service was amazing!

Biscuits were fluffy and delicious, egg and cheese were incredible. Potatoes salty and garlicky and roasted to perfection!! Very nice staff, food came out quick. Homey feel inside, very cozy!!

simply wow just wow. I mean the wait was long, but boy was it worth it! and the staff was so sweet and checking on us while we waited. Got a counter to seat situation that was odd at first but works so well for them. But the food, oh the food! Lights out breakfast. The honey cornbread cookie is still in my dreams. 10/10. Everything was so good - obviously the biscuits and the fun little biscuit bites were terrific. Go and get anything and you will be forever glad you did.

This place lives up to the hype. The fried chicken biscuit had incredible crunch and flavor. The build your own biscuit wasn't as good but I think it's because I didn't choose a good combination (I chose egg, sausage and bacon jam). The flavors didn't work. It might be helpful if they have some suggestions for folks with the BYO. There's ample space and seating and going on a Friday morning was a lot less hectic than the weekends probably are.

WOW. Went down in Memorial Day. Waited for about 20-25 in line. Moved well. People were courtesy to not sitting long. Food very good.

Don't go in and sit down. I missed the sign. We waited in line and placed our order. By the time we placed our order a table was available. The food was excellent. The biscuits were worth the price. I had the make your own sandwich with bacon, egg, and palmetto cheese. Egg was over easy with a gooey center that complemented the sandwich nicely. I had a taste of the biscuit and gravy. It was the best I ever tasted. Ambiance was bright and clean. Huge windows that left in a lot of light. We can't wait to go back.

Yum! Bold southern flavors on fresh hot biscuits in a charming cafe setting. We found easy street parking in this nice residential part of Pittsburgh. The iced teas were fresh and served generously, and the fried chicken with just a little honey was excellent. Service was quick and friendly.

This has been on my list for a while. I went solo in a Saturday morning. Not the best move as they are so busy on the weekend and we had to wait outside. But because I was solo I got seated fairly quickly at the countertop. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. Plus I got to meet two new people who were also diners. I had the biscuits and gravy. Delicious. I did have to add a little local hot sauce with a side of potatoes. My new friend an engineer from Nigeria recommended the chimichurro 'sauce'. I did have that with the potatoes and it is out of this world. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What a great hidden gem.

Wow! What a great sandwich!…read more My wife and I visited Pittsburgh for the first time on July 30th, 2026. This is gonna sound crazy, but we stopped in for a sandwich at 9:00 a.m.!!! They've been around since 1933 and when you walk in you can feel the history. The walls are covered with painted caricatures of famous locals. This place is an institution. My wife and I sat at the counter and ordered a roast beef sandwich. All sandwiches come topped with tomatoes, coleslaw, and french fries. Yes, you read that correctly, they pile fresh cut fries onto all their sandwiches! The sandwich was massive and delicious! We are so happy we sought this place out and you will be too! Seek it out!

One employee was VERY nice to my father who has mobility issues and let him sit inside in a chair while we stood in the line to get in, which did move relatively quick. I think 20 people ahead of us, and we were at a table in under 15 min. 5 of us ordered 5 different things, and only one person had an actually 'good' meal. That is not a high % of quality food. The rest were super bland and off the mark flavor wise. Our waitress was also nowhere to be found half the time, we often needed drink refills and she only came over to take our order and that was really it. We had to ask another employee for water and napkins. I just don't 'get' it. The hype is not worth it.

We got to the restaurant, approached the podium, I expressed the reservation and was told that they did not have one for me. We were asked to sit in the penalty box until they were able to find a table. We were fortunate and were seated. Our server was great. Very personable, helpful with the menu, made recommendations, etc. We ordered cocktails, which were very good. We then placed our order for dinner. My spouse had the beans and greens which were found to be quite good. I had the house salad which was also very good. For an entree, Bo ordered CACIO E PEPE and I ordered, BUCATINI all'AMATRICIANA. This is where we started to descend into food limbo. The cacio e pepe was flavorless with as little pepper as possible. So few, in fact that you could accurately count them. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. My entree was another disappointment. In the description, it states: "Bucatini Pasta, Guanciale, San Marzano Tomatoes, Pecorino Romano" Now, can any of you, off the top of your heads, tell me what Guanciale is? Guanciale just happens to be, an Italian cured meat made from pork jowl or cheek. Its name comes from guancia, the Italian word for cheek. It is rubbed with salt, black pepper, and spices, then aged for several weeks, creating a rich meat with a high fat content that is prized for flavoring classic pasta sauces. In my entree they were small cubes, meat-like, and one side of each cube was burnt to a crips, solid black and real crunchy. It gave the whole dish a burnt taste. Not the best. For dessert, Bo ordered the Banana Sundae Cheesecake. I bet you thought it tasted like bananas. Nope. It tasted like cheesecake. I passed on dessert. My choice was determined by the quality of my entry. Atmosphere. There are some restaurants, these days, where you have to raise your voice to talk to one another. Here we had to literally scream but still not be able to hear one another. It's all too common now to forego a suspended tile ceiling and carpet on the floor, which absorbs the sound. This was absolutely the loudest dining establishment I was ever in. Looking around, it seemed that most people have bought into the notion that this is as good as it gets when it comes to dining ambiance. Look, I'm old school and this just didn't cut it for us. There certainly are a lot who love the restaurant and grade it accordingly. I'm just not one of them. Bon appetit!
