My family had doubts on my selection, but by the end of dinner they were apologizing -- the food was that good. Our waiter, Navi, was excellent. He patiently answered every single question from my very particular family and made the whole night feel effortless. There was also a guitarist playing chill background music that added the perfect touch to the evening. I had the chicken francese and finished with the spumoni tartufo -- both excellent. My dad ordered the tiramisu and said it was the best he's ever had. This place genuinely impressed an Italian family. Highly recommend -- go in, and don't let the outside fool you.

The guy says "five minutes." In any case, I stand, I wait.... and I.... wait some more. It wasn't five minutes. Lots of workers standing. She says "we're just getting that cut up." But they weren't - it was already cut. They took one of their old pies off the rack and slid it right into a box. It wasn't in the oven. I could feel it was cold, but yes, I took it and went home. I can't say you couldn't eat it but.... it wasn't good. We did eat some of it, but only after baking it in my own oven. Good thing I ordered in advance, eh? If you are going to do a take out here, my advice would be to skip ordering altogether, and just go there and get the slices yourself. They won't be too fresh, but at least it will be fast.
