So I came here with a couple friends because my buddy lives out this way and he gets an hour lunch at work so he said this was right next to his house and he really enjoys his place and we should try it. So of course I looked at the menu and read some of the reviews before coming just to see what they would have that I would enjoy since I am a vegetarian. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place because it was definitely really cool how it had a theme with an old style train station but it definitely was a modern building which I don't know the old train station was torn down and this was put in place of it, but I did like how it felt inside. So I ordered the spinach dip and the mushroom quesadilla for myself. My two friends end up ordering a burger and a sandwich for themselves and of course they got fried pickles and onion rings for the table. So my friends burger looked phenomenal and so did my friends sandwich. I did try the onion rings and they were phenomenal in my opinion, and so was the spinach dip. I didn't try the fried pickles because I'm not a pickle person personally but both my friends said they really enjoyed them. My one friend said they really enjoyed their sandwich. But personally for me, I enjoyed the spinach dip of course but to me, the quesadilla was just bland. I enjoyed that they try to do something unique with a mushroom quesadilla but personally, I feel like it was too big of cuts of mushroom and other items inside of it, and it all just kind of fell out all over the place. There was no flavor really to the quesadilla and that kind of put me off on it. I personally wouldn't come back just because nothing stood out to me when I came to this place on food wise other than the appetizers and I'm not gonna come back to a place just for appetizers. This restaurant was the nastiest restaurant so far that I've been in I ordered a beef filet sandwich that was beyond bad I couldn't eat it with my hands so I tried a knife and fork still nastiest sandwich I've ever had. First time going for dinner in a very long time We were seated in the bar area. Waiter came over pretty quickly but after that not so much and not friendly. He was also the bartender for the bar area which didn't help. The kitchen people were serving. I guess that's a thing. I have to say everyone employee there didn't appear friendly. I can't say I saw smiles on any of their faces. We started out with the fried mozzarella which was awesome. I ordered the lobster ravioli, the sauce was different so I am not sure how I really feel about it. Hubby ordered flat iron steak and said it was delicious. First time trying this place and it can best be described as "meh". We came in for a late lunch on a Saturday - the place was not busy and we sat at the bar and had draft beers - the selection was decent, but it was not served very cold - I like my beer much colder and it was the same for both beers we had. For lunch I ordered their Chicken Avocado club with onion rings. The bread that they served it on was a bit odd - it was a square roll that was not crusty and was very thin. Once the filling (which was tasty) was put in it the bread was somewhat floppy and soggy and off putting. The onion rings were undercooked and soggy rather than crispy. Hubby had the fish and chips - the fish was good and very crispy, but the "chips" looked like they came from the bottom of the bag of frozen french fries and were almost all less than an inch long. The service was friendly but we were never asked how the food was, which maybe was a good thing. Will not be going back - there are many better options in this area read more

After 5 hours out on the lake Wixom Station capped off the day with an enjoyable dinner on the patio. We had 11 in our group, five of which were adults. Services was great through and through, only one error with an entree which was rectified very quickly. - EGGPLANT DIABLO: (Fresh eggplant lightly breaded and topped with a zesty shrimp-Palomino sauce) - This was my starter and as a crispy eggplant lover I give a thumbs up. Eggplant done poorly in this fashion can be a soggy mess. It was still beautifully crispy even after being dressed with Palomino sauce. Nice meaty pieces of shrimp adorned the sauce which was thick yet creamy. - FISH & CHIPS: I'm a hard critic on Fish & Chips, it's comfort food to me. The Cod is your typical food service variety but it was executed well; I've had the exact same product be a soggy mess at a lot of places. The tartar sauce was pretty impressive, I love me some tartar and dip my fires in it too. Great stuff here. There was a variety of food at the table and everyone was happy. Chicken tenders, amazing Mac & Cheese, fried pickles with some killer bistro sauce, pasta alfredo, and so on. More enjoyable than my last experience but also reading back on my review from three years ago I can see how my opinion of restaurants has changed. I've come to understand there are different players at different levels and I was harsh. Sure as a good cook I can make most of what I had easily at home but sometimes who the F wants to do that? Went there for lunch yesterday. My hubby wasn't very hungry. He said he would just take a few bites of my food. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken. Honestly, it was pretty good. When it came they split it up on 2 plates.. mind you I did NOT ask the waitress to do this. But I thought wow, that was really nice. Then she brought me the bill. They put a charge on the bill! What?!? I was extremely upset over this. I tried to call the restaurant and speak with the manger, but she was too busy to come to the phone. Yeah, pretty good. On the first visit, I had the chicken parmigiana and it was okay, but not great. I also sampled the fish & chips, however, and they were worthy of a second visit. I mean, not quite but almost as good as the famed and actually litigated old Susie Q recipe. And I don't even typically care for fish & chips, really. These were good. Obviously, I came back a second time for the fish & chips. On that visit, I came to the conclusion that this restaurant is good, but might want to rethink the menu just a bit. The Italian items seem to be less than amazing and I prefer when a restaurant finds something they can excel at and then builds a menu around it. For this one, that appears to be the fish. As for the rest, the atmosphere is okay, despite the somewhat out of place wild game trophy mounts. The service was fine and the cocktails & beer selection was okay. I found on both visits that the temperature of the place was uncomfortably warm for some reason - to the point where people were actually complaining to the staff. Whatever. I have been waiting to try this place for quite some time, and was extremely patient the during the entire experience of COVID but the service was unjustifiably terrible. We were told 10-15 minutes and we would be called, asking for patio seating because it was full. We give it 10-15 minutes come back and atleast three of the parties left their tables from the patio but were told to wait another half an hour... okay we waited and came back and she said nothing was open... we peaked out on the patio and there was literally one table occupied out there. She quickly bussed a table for us. We then sit at a table for over 10 minutes before we get up to order our drinks because no one ever came by. Someone then tells us that drinks are ordered at the table. A waitress comes by immediately to take our drink orders. Okay we ordered.... another 10-15 minutes pass and the bartender had to come out when she realized we never got them. We were never even told what drinks they had so we just winged it. The waitress then takes our order of fried pickles. It was speedy and they were delicious. She comes back for our food order. Food comes out in perfect timing. I ordered fish and chips- chips were perfectly crispy... the fish? Either toooo over cooked or too much batter. The waitress then never comes back! We waited for 40 minutes after finishing our meal, we wanted boxes, we had to track down our bill because she never came back. Just completely disappeared. We left the food behind because it probably would've been another hour just for a box. I wouldn't recommend this place for dine in to anyone and the food? Subpar. 2nd time coming here and just very rude and unattetentive staff. On or 1st visit we were the only people in the place, no one greeted us so we sat down in the bar area & immediately got attitude from the 4 ladies standing around. Once the lady at the bar approached us things got better & went well. The food was good and we enjoyed our time. Any place can have an off day & I believe in second chances so we tried again yesterday to try their happy hour specials and the experience was so much worse. Again very few customers, the place was practically empty & several waitresses hanging around the reception area. We did get greeted this time but the gal seemed annoyed from the get go. Needless to say we had 1 beverage over the duration of 40 minutes. Got approached by a waitress who introduced her self super quick and took off before we could request an appetizer. Then waited another 15 minutes before we got approached for a refill & I just asked for the check. Wixom Station is a really cute place and it's right down the street from my office. While I don't think this will end up in my regular lunch rotation, I do see myself going there once in awhile because a lot of the menu items do look pretty enticing, especially since there are Groupons all the time. The lobster ravioli looked really good, but I was craving beef, so I decided on the tenderloin sandwich with a side of the turkey noodle soup instead. The turkey noodle soup was actually pretty good. They use ground turkey mini meatballs and cut up lasagna noodles instead of the normal egg noodles. It's a nice twist on the standard and I appreciated that. The ground turkey does have a slight bit of a kick to it, so probably not the best option for those who doesn't eat anything spicy. The side of soup is equivalent to a bowl at most other restaurants.It was a tad salty, though. The tenderloin sandwich and fries that came with were also great. The beef pieces were tender, the fries were fresh. But again, the sandwich was pretty salty and I love salty foods. I have zero complaints about the service. I will be back to try the lobster ravioli next. read more

When we are golfing near by at Lyon Oaks we go here for a late lunch/early dinner. Have always been treated well. We are usually 3 or 4 men looking for food and drink after golf. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Food is good or at least no problems have been encountered. read more

Not sure about leaving a review here... How do you judge a place when you haven't eaten there or even spoken with any of their staff? Walked in for a late dinner - Around 8:30 or 9:00. There were 4 or 5 tables with customers, mostly just drinking. We waited to be seated. And waited. And waited. 20 minutes later, we left. End of story. We were there Feb. 27th around 7pm. So I wanted to leave this review especially because I have been in management for over 6 years and I would want someone to let me know if an employee treated someone poorly so they can give feedback to their staff. My boyfriend was also a server for years. So we are both extremely understanding of issues and usually tip extremely well. Last night my boyfriend brought me here because we were celebrating my new job and I'd been wanting to come to the restaurant for months! We were seated quickly and the waitress came shortly after. Immediately her demeanor was that she didn't give a crap about being there. She didn't smile and acted annoyed that we existed. When we ordered drinks she stared at our ids for a really long time( we are both 28 and 33). When my boyfriend asked if they had Bullet for his Old Fashioned she said "no..." and so he asked what they do have and she huffed and walked away without saying anything. This was a general theme of the service. She came back with our drinks (never answering his question) and complained that she had to make them cause of something to do with the bartender. Half way through our meal she asked us if we wanted a box and we said maybe later. She came back shortly after asking if we wanted a box yet again so I told her "sure" cause I felt rushed. She quickly replied, " WELL! If you don't WANT it you don't HAVE to take it!" Then walked away. A couple moments go by and she dropped off the bill without saying anything. We still left a tip but my boyfriend was absolutely pissed because he was trying to take me somewhere nice to celebrate. We both left almost like it was a personal attack how she huffed and blew us off the entire time mumbling under her breath. She never smiled, asked us how we were doing, or wished us a good night. She didn't even say thank you. Other than that, the food was really nice and the drinks were really good. Stopped by for lunch! Portions are large, service was good and we left satisfied. A good choice over a chain restaurant and everyone's dishes looked delicious. Knocked off a star because the Chicken Alfredo's presentation could have been better with some fresh Parmesan cheese and the house salad would have been nicer with grape tomatoes, a little cheese and croutons. I've been here so many times for work... and to me... it just lacks that extra punch to make this place so much better than it actually is. The food is always.. 'good'. Not amazing... not jaw dropping... just... good. I've tried a handful of dishes trying to find a go-to... but they are all just.. 'good'. We've ordered from here several times for takeout. We go and pick up our food. Very fast service. Much appreciated. I always order the Michigan salad which I love. Very fresh. When I go to pick up our food I always enjoy their atmosphere. We will definitely have to eat there sometime as Eatin customers. The only thing that I would change is that I absolutely adore sweet potato fries. They offer sweet potato waffle fries which I have ordered on several occasions. They were perfect the first time but several times after that the oil they were cooked in was old. The first time they were way over cooked and I had to throw them away as they were making my stomach sick. The next time I did mention it and the staff was very friendly over the phone saying that they would be sure they weren't overcooked this time. I received the fries and they were slightly undercooked but still cooked in old boy well. I wouldn't recommend ordering these at this particular restaurant. However, we've enjoyed so much the other food that we ordered there, it's definitely not a breaking point for us. I'd say the prices are a little bit high for what they offer but you're a captive Market way out here and not many restaurants to choose from so it's to be expected. This was our first time coming to Wixom. We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming hosts. The restaurant has a really nice ambiance. We ordered different appetizers for the table and they all tasted amazing, I would definitely recommend the calamari, fried mushrooms, and fried pickles. For the main entree we got the Ny strip, burgers and Fettuccini Alfredo. The food was delicious and we were all happy with our choices. The service was also superb. I like this place. It's cute, though the decor is a little confusing. The train station themed accents and light fixtures are super cute. The animal carcasses on the wall, not so great. Were they hit by trains?? We've been numerous times now and have always left full and satisfied. The service has always been great, very pleasant and attentive waitstaff. They've been very tolerant of our one year old daughter as well. Hostess lacked personality on our last visit and seemed annoyed that she had to get us a highchair. Update on our last visit we had a very sweet and accommodating hostess. So far we've tried the fried pickles (strips are unusual but awesome), artichoke dip (not the best we've had but the house made tortilla is very good), fish and chips which is a huge portion and the best in the area in my opinion, lobster ravioli (super rich), spare ribs and onion rings, pesto pasta. Everything is very tasty, though pricey. I love that you get a bread basket, so few places do this anymore and it's such good bread, great accompaniment to the pasta dishes. The house salad that comes with the entrees is really nice also with fresh greens and crisp fresh veggies. The Caesar salad is very good as well. Recently tried the tortellini, chicken piccata and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were the stand out. We figure they lightly roast the mushrooms before battering them and the result is amazing. The mushrooms are juicy and so full of flavor while the batter remained crispy and not at all soggy. Overall the experience is a pleasant one. The food is very good, service is great and atmosphere is pleasant. The one thing keeping it from five stars from me is the price. It is pretty expensive for the area and therefore not a place we put into our regular rotation. Reserved for special occasions, it's a good choice for our family. read more
