Typically there are way too many people working here but that's the time to go, midday. After that, you'll likely get the guy with a man bun and terrible tattoos. He couldn't give less of a shit about your business yet he's always there watching terrible movies. Dogs behind the counter walk with their tails between their legs, so at least he mistreats all living things equally. Still worth checking out. read more

I'm always so impressed with this place, the manager who was there on 01-25-2023 was very nice and polite, did not get annoyed at all that I had a couple of questions or that I changed my mind on a tobacco pipe. Their herb shredders, water pipes, cigarette papers, tobacco pipes, ash trays and you name is all at very affordable prices and much better than other smoke shops in the Austin area. They are very chill and laid back cool cats (or should I say wizards) that run this store. I'm not sure why they only have a 4 star overall rating, the 3 times I've been in here has been nothing but positive. It's in walking distance from my house also, so very convenient! Went to 2 of the more well known shops in Austin, only to be disappointed with their lackluster selection (I know grav is local, but so plain!) and I miss my hometown Houston shop BC so much! Lo and behold, one of the staff members used to work at BC and they're trying to "fill that void"-you know the one for real artisan glass and not this mass produced, cheap, you can find it anywhere type glass. You guys definitely made this lady happy as hell with my new bubbler, and you've got a new loyal customer! Thank y'all for not being like all the other shops I visited today, or saw at reggae fest over the weekend.
