Chicken Tikka Masala and Vegetable Samosas
    Charleen B.

We ordered them for delivery and the food traveled well. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the vegetable samosas. The chicken was so tender and the sauce was very flavorful. I finished the sauce with just rice lol. The samosas were good as well but very oily. The sauces they came with were good, I believe they were a tamarind sauce and a mint chutney. Will definitely return!

I'll admit the ambiance could use some help, but the food made up for that. Had the lunch buffet today and it was all good. The weakest item was the tandoori chicken. But everything else was surprisingly flavorful. The employees were friendly and helpful. We will be back.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!! We came back to India oven after our last experience six or seven years ago(?) We have been coming here for many years prior to that. The service started to go down as they got busier and more popular. The food quality started to go down significantly I have to think this was like 2016 or 2017. I started leaving the Yelp reviews for them because I updated good reviews down to fewer stars. It said as long as the service stayed the same and the food was as good, I was happy to share them getting more business. I updated and said things were lacking and detailed reasons, and then another three late years. I updated my review that they were indeed getting even worse and I wouldn't be back. Food quality, cleanliness, and service, not just price. We began going to another place just a half mile away south of the 60, it is smaller, but the food quality and cleanliness is so much better. We only came back to India oven yesterday because our other place (not allowed to name here) does not have a dinner buffet. And we were in a hurry. Almost every food choice was dried out and seemed to be left over from lunch even the rice I mean, who doesn't replenish rice? He brought out a small serving bowl of rice when a lady complained who came in after us. You could tell they did not want to replace anything that They didn't have to. It was 6 PM prime dinner hour. Thursday night I was shocked to see one table full only and said to my husband, this is not good. He decided let's try it anyway we each ate one plate and I was consistently worried about how I was gonna feel later. It was dirty inside and it makes you wonder if they don't clean the area the public can see what does the back room look like? I can stay with 100% certainty we will never ever be back. We will never ever recommend this place and we would be absolutely shocked if it's open for another year. We used to think that money must come from the catering and banquet side because the restaurant is absolutely unacceptable. Any of you that used to hope this place went back to what it used to be 10 years ago, don't bother. Thank goodness I did not get sick last night but boy oh boy it was a gamble. Here's a picture of the fan above our table, all of the pipes and everything in the ceiling above our table were an inch of dust must be years and years since anything has been cleaned thank God they did not turn the fan on. Gamble if you wish by coming here, we will not make that mistake again.

We didn't know this was buffet style, but it's our first time trying Indian food so that actually helped a lot. I expected it to be spicy, but nothing was too hot. We went around 8pm, so the food wasn't the freshest, but I know it would've been super tasty a couple hours prior. Very family-owned vibe here and the server was quick to help us. All in all, $20/person for all you can eat isn't bad. I tried everything they had and honestly enjoyed it all! The naan bread... to die for...

This was a pretty solid spot! I had been once or twice before but since it had been so long, I suggested this place. My boba sistah and I met up for lunch with her little one and I was ready for some Indian food. There were a few people there when we arrived around noon and more trickled in as the afternoon passed. It's a quick spot since you don't have to order and wait to be served. Basically, you choose your table and pick up a plate or two to fill up. We were given ice water and garlic naan, a great start. I was impressed with the variety and quantity of options available: quite a few vegetarian dishes as well. I really appreciated the mango lassi and chai, both of which were delicious. I enjoyed the food, especially the daal and the chicken tikka masala, a classic. I would probably pass on the chicken tandoori next time, too much work ;-). I'm usually pretty good at pacing myself and only getting what I know I can eat, but this time I overdid it. It might've been the spicy jalapeño and veggies that I grabbed to make my meal more "healthy", but know your limits folks. Didn't want to waste food. Overall, a good Indian buffet and worth the price of $18.99 ($20.99 for dinner). The gulab jamun was so tasty as well! Service was prompt and friendly.

    Mango lassi

I went for the lunch buffet and had a little bit of everything. It was soooooo good! The mango lassi is a MUST as always. But everything was delicious. Not too spicy but really good flavors. The Naan was thin, crispy and chewy and just the way I like it. And they didn't skimp out either! I hate having to ask for extra naan when a place only gives you one or two peices. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the rice had dried out and gotten hard. But I would definitely come back again

My mom loved this place years ago and suggested we try for dinner. They push the buffet, so we all did it. Several items were lukewarm or not warm at all, which can be common for a buffet. I do love that they have an array of vegetarian options, even if they were the freshest and warm. The service was friendly, but the decor did seem dated and cluttered. Overall, not a favorite but a decent option for a vegetarian meal.

Ask the Community - India Oven

Hi, is there a reason that online pickup orders are not allowed for dinner? I'm trying to avoid $20+ worth of delivery driver tips and other delivery-based fees on a $65 subtotal.

Is the buffet open every day and at what times?

The lunch buffet, is 11, to 2:30.

    How much is dinner buffet?

    $19

    Is there a full bar?

    It's pretty tiny

What is the price for the lunch buffet?

    $15.00

Are there any vegan (no meat, no egg, no dairy) options?

There are vegetarian choices. However most of Indian food is cooked in ghee which comes from butter. So even mixed vegetables wouldn't be strictly vegan. Paneer while vegetarian is made from cheese so also would not be vegan.

    Do you have buffett open?

    Yes it is open

    Is your buffet open?

Yes it is open. We went 2-3 months ago

Do india oven, serve indian fry bread?

No. They serve food from the country of India. It's not a Native American Indian restaurant.

I've ordered several dishes here, but the Chicken Tikka Masala (pictured) is my go-to. I usually order it at a medium spice level, but if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend starting at a level 2 or 3. It comes with flavorful rice, and I always add an order of the garlic naan, which is the perfect complement. The vegetable samosas are also delicious and come with two dipping sauces that pair perfectly. The two women who usually help me, whether they're answering the phone or assisting me when I pick up my order are always incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. Their excellent customer service makes every visit even better. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so there isn't a lot of indoor seating, but it's located in a shopping center with plenty of convenient parking. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food in Arizona, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I've been back multiple times, and it never disappoints.

Okay... the coconut curry wings?? OBSESSED…read more I love coconut curry in general, so having it as a wing flavor is honestly top tier for me. It's such a creative idea and actually executed WELL. The flavor is rich, warm, savory, slightly sweet, cozy, and seriously addictive without being overly heavy. You still get that classic wing satisfaction, but with a fun curry twist that stands out from the usual buffalo/lemon pepper/garlic parm lineup in the valley. The wings were flavorful, crispy, and coated in this glossy coconut curry sauce that I could honestly eat on anything Whoever came up with this flavor deserves credit because it's genuinely memorable. My one tiny critique: PLEASE give us more coconut curry sauce or make extra sauce available! I usually order later in the evening, so I haven't been able to successfully call and ask, but this flavor is so good that I always wish there was extra for dipping or extra coating. These wings deserve to be swimming in sauce Other than that? Easily my favorite wing flavor here and a reorder every time. If you love coconut curry or just want something different from traditional wing flavors, GET THESE.

While I was there, it started to fill up and there were quite a few food delivery service drivers picking up orders. That's a good sign. I imagine this food is well suited for takeout. The place is on the small side but clean and well-lit. I ordered a bowl with rice and naan at the counter and pulled a rose lassi from the case. I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... I will be back, even if just for some Shack Naan to snack on.

(Lots of take out tho!) Very clean (incl bathroom) and organized. Loved the music and the tv they had on with Bollywood. We were greeted right away and checked on frequently. He was very patient with us and answered our questions kindly The butter naan was so fresh and soft, the plain dosa was just as expected plus yummy sauces. The tandoori chicken was soooo flavorful and juicy! I loved the cabbage on bottom, but grab it quick because it will get burnt! (See video!) we got the kadai chicken medium spice and we overestimated ourselves haha tasty but too spicy for us (We have lower tolerances to spice) so we will go with mild next time, chicken still flavorful and tender. To help with the spice my bf got a mango lassi, worked like a charm, it was well balanced, tasted fresh, and not too sweet.
