You still get that classic wing satisfaction, but with a fun curry twist that stands out from the usual buffalo/lemon pepper/garlic parm lineup in the valley. The wings were flavorful, crispy, and coated in this glossy coconut curry sauce that I could honestly eat on anything Whoever came up with this flavor deserves credit because it's genuinely memorable. My one tiny critique: PLEASE give us more coconut curry sauce or make extra sauce available! The place is on the small side but clean and well-lit. I ordered a bowl with rice and naan at the counter and pulled a rose lassi from the case. I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... The space was small, but very clean, and I loved the cute patio area for outdoor seating. In the area with my husband while the kids played pickleball nearby, we happened upon Tikka Shack on a recent Monday evening... As others have shared, the space is inviting, colorful and clean. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's a fast casual concept, so we went up to the counter and grabbed a menu to peruse before ordering. We went with a chicken tikka masala bowl and a chicken biryani bowl as well as some naan to share. This was plenty for the two of us. For just $11.95 each, I got not one but TWO different curries (original and southern, because I'm not here to play) and a drink. That's not a meal, that's a full-on edible celebration. The original curry was smooth, rich, a little smoky. The southern curry was spicier, tangier, like it came to crash the party and ended up being the life of it. Together? Dynamic duo status. Batman and Batman. Get the Vegetable cutlets. Three handmade, seasoned, golden, crispy potato patties made with paneer, green peas, carrots, and cilantro; served with tamarind and mint chutney for $6.75. Perfect crunch. 10/10 would betray a salad for them. Then came the Tikka pizza ($9.85), and listen, if India and Italy had a baby raised on spice and good vibes, this would be it. While not the most cheesy or saucy, it was good. I can admit that I won't be reordering this though. I feel like there's some other places around town that makes a better Tikka pizza. I will recommend that you dip this pizza in your curry for some more flavor and sauce. Verdict: Come hungry. Come brave. And definitely come on a Tuesday. read more

I had two tacos and both came like they were bombed with cabbage nukes. Why am I eating purple cabbage on Indian food anyway? The taco base is meant to be naan but it's a lot more like a thick overcooked bland and tough pita. The flavor is fine- it's not gross. But it doesn't hit like real Indian food. Coming from the Bay Area with years of Indian food experience across Northern California and the East Valley, I can genuinely appreciate what they're doing here -- and they're doing a lot right. The one thing holding them back from a five star rating is inconsistency. Some dishes can come out a little watery, and the texture of the food isn't always on point from visit to visit. For the price point -- which runs a little high for what it is -- you'd hope for more consistency across the board. Tikka Shack has a few locations throughout the valley and delivers solid Indian food. The menu has so many choices like I said but I just wanted to with the standard Indian food dishes. I went with the Southern curry which sounded interesting to have a little extra spice and a little more coconutty flavor to it. It definitely was a bit Spicer than I thought but was great with shrimp and the rice. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but it still filling and delicious. I did get a Samosa which was perfectly crispy on the outside and the delicious veggies on the inside. A great fast casual Indian spot! My husband and I stopped in hoping for a quick dinner during a busy week and it hit the spot! We ordered the chicken 65, 2 piece samosas, garlic naan, and butter masala with chicken. My husband ordered his curry hot and mine was "house" spicy but there wasn't a noticeable difference between the spice level. The flavors of the chicken 65 and butter masala were not quite as similar as other Indian restaurants but were still tasty. The butter masala definitely had some coconut milk which I personally don't prefer the flavor of in my Indian curries. The garlic naan and samosas were more classic and also very good. They are pretty quick on bringing out your food. Place is clean with some seatings inside and outside. I've tried a couple of things on their menu but my go too is always the chicken kebab plate and chicken Marsala! Portions are good but I do wish they can add just a bit more chicken in the chicken Marsala. They give you so much rice I never finish all the rice and always have plenty to take home. Ordered a samosa appetizer and kabob bowl served with rice and mango salad. You get two skewers of a protein and I opted for a lamb and spicy chicken kabob. Noticed a bit of confusion with server but just went with the flow. Note to self...two skewers means two skewers of the same protein. Ended up with two lamb kabobs, two spicy chicken kabobs on rice. Given the lower price point, I suppose it might be to be expected. I've eaten at the Tikka Shack in Desert Ridge and thought it might have been a bit better. My butter masala came out room temp at best, so that was a bit off putting for me. Then went to open the aluminum foil to get my Garlic naan out but I didn't see any garlic anywhere. I went up to ask the cashier if I got the wrong order and he said well did you look at the second bottom one, yes . But didn't see garlic still , so he comes over to the table and has me lift up the bottom one and flipped it over and tah day, there was garlic. I felt dumb lol but at the same time why was it at the bottom, facing the aluminum and no garlic anywhere else. User error on my part I guess. Came here on Friday 01/03/25. We ordered Biryani chicken and chicken curry. We also came at 09:15 Pm and they close at 10 pm based on their sign. The cashier that night was this mean younger girl. As soon as we were ordering, she says, we're closing in half an hour basically telling us that we can't sit there and eat. We had second thoughts eating there because of that comment so my husband went back to ask if we could do take out and she gives us this dirty stare. Food is not good at all and would say it's not edible. Bland, spices are not cooked all the way through. A boiled egg was placed on top of the biryani and it was cold. So strange.
