Delicious food and family like service, very well portioned plates, and the medium spice was still spicy

Food - We ordered a Dahi Batata Puri, what we got was Papdi Chaat, and the mix had gone stale. The second item was Ragda chaat. In this one the yogurt was off and there was an aftertaste so we left that as well. The final item was Chloe Kulcha. The Kulcha was not fresh. It was reheated. As for the Chole, it was bland. We had some of it and ended up leaving that as well and going to Honest. Ambiance - I have seen better hole in the walls in India. To say that there was an attempt made would be generous. I'm not sure how to rate this. The food seems fresh and homemade, but the curry is not super hot temperature wise. It's a tad spicy-just right. The only drinks seem to be warm/room temp water. The soda machine is out of order. This place just opened and I've been dying to try it. It took the place of a taco shop. The samosas came out way later and are super hot! I'm concerned about the cleanliness, and I hope they can get it cleaned up a bit. There seems to be a steady stream of take out orders. I'll try this again in a month when they are more organized. The owner was nice and patient and able to give some great recommendations after having a hard time deciding what to get. My mom and I tried a few things. I liked the samosa chaat and vada pav. The tawa paneer burger was my least favorite. Wish I had room in my stomach to try more things haha! read more

Very limited menu, a big shout out to the pure vegetarian restaurant in Gilbert Very limited menu and I like it. We ordered bhel puri, a thali, naan and a gravy. Everything was so subtle, home made, not too much of butter or cream and unwantedly rich. Indian cuisine has changed a lot in the recent years coz People started using too much of cream and butter and food coloring unnecessarily just to enhance the taste and the visual treat. Well here is the truth- it has become the most unhealthiest of all. Well this place is not gonna be finger licking good ddddelicious Coz it's totally purely simple and homemade. A good meal and you won't feel burping and feeling bloated for the whole day after that meal in an Indian restaurant. If you want finger licking this ain't the place. Bhel puri had so much layers of flavors Bursting thru the mouth Thali, naan and Panner gravy was good Naan was really soft. I am big time chaat fan of the place called little India. Finally have a chat spot in this area and I was excited to try it. I ordered a Papdi chaat and a Sev batata puri. Both were to go and she made them as I got there so it didn't get soggy. The Papdi chaat was excellent, I just added some yogurt at home. Service was nicely done as they didn't prep is before to avoid it getting soggy. Normal Indian fast food spot ambiance. read more

As I think others have mentioned, this appears to be an old taco shop. You order at the counter and there are a few tables to sit at inside. The gentlemen at the counter was so fantastic, very kind and patient as we tried to decide on what to order. He was happy to explain the dishes we weren't familiar with and confirmed everything is vegetarian. We got the laccha paratha plates with paneer curry and chole curry, the pani puri, samosa chaat, and the vada pav. All of the dishes were delicious with good flavor and texture. The samosa chaat was my favorite. I appreciated the food was all served on compostable trays. While this is a bit far from where I live, I hope to make back here soon. read more

We had a chance to try this spot out the other night while we were in the area. We decided we wanted Indian and this was highly reviewed so we decided to try it out. The format is street Indian food and there were a lot of menu items that I was totally unfamiliar with so we let the Person who was serving us know and they recommended a sampler type platter which is what we ended up ordering. This is a very small restaurant, maybe four or five tables at the most family run very quaint and intimate. We took our food to go so we didn't dine in but It's definitely tight space that being said we found the service at the counter pretty good. Upon getting home and trying to food out, we had mixed results. While the food overall was. flavorful and spiced well, the portions were a bit on the small side and the biggest challenge was we weren't really sure exactly what we were eating. That can be good sometimes and bad depending on how you like to roll. This was probably more of a 3.5 review but we will lean in on this one. read more

It is a welcome sight to have an Indian/Chaat restaurant in the neighborhood, and the food did not disappoint. The menu is vegetarian and the walk in aromas were welcoming. I tried the Chana with Roti, and Roti...it was superb. They are new, and do consider going for the food..the decor and ambience will evolve. The food was great last time we ate but this time it was not good. There was a guy cooking last time. This time it was the woman cooking and it was very off. The pav bhaji seasoning was off and no salt. The paneer butter curry had no cream whatsoever. The aloo chaat was overly sweet. We just left this new spot, and our family was impressed with the fresh taste and prompt service. It's is hidden in a plaza, and it seems like it is a mom and pop place. Definitely enjoyed our meal. We will be back! read more

Food taste in this seems to be a far cry from a real authentic Indian taste. I went there to dine in for lunch. I was not very sure if I should. The inside needs to be cleaned up as all sorts of nonsense was scattered around the counter top and was dirty. I may give them another chance to see if they have got their act together. read more

Excellent service and food! Friendly staff. As an Indian vegetarian, it's so nice to have a place to go to that offers vegetarian Indian street food in the East Valley. The food tastes authentic and homemade! We ordered the veg thali, pav bhaji, and dabeli. They also offered a high chair for our baby. The prices are fair and offer good value for the portions.
