I've always liked places where you can create your own dish and this place had a great choice of both proteins and veggies, plus you can make it any style. I chose barbeque pork, lo mein noodles, and a wide variety of vegetables with their house sauce. Excellent food! Very fresh and tasty! I'll definitely be ordering from them again! Being that this place is so close to the university, I didn't think much of it. I must say I was impressed with the food and would come back again. This is one of those places where you get to customize a meal based off the ingredients they offer. They have a lot to choose from, like rice, noodles, a variety of veggies, meats, and sauces. The young man working the counter was really patient with me and let me try the sauces to see which one I wanted. I ended up with a noodle bowl filled with veggies and a combo of two sauces (can't remember which but it was slightly spicy). The prices are decent too. Parking is extremely limited here, so I suggest you either take it to go, walk in, or have it delivered. Overall though, this is one of the better establishments for food near the university. A student dive. The concept is interesting. The execution (food preparation) was poor. My noodle tasted like it was smoked in kerosene--reminded of when someone barbecued food before the smoke had a chance to clear the grill. And, one of the staff was coughing behind the counter where the open ingredients were kept. The chef was also chopping incessantly in the back... Suffice to say, we won't be coming back. BTW, there is so much plastic waste created from a single meal. Plastic bowls. Plastic lids. Plastic (single-use) utensils. Plastic cups... Where are the recycling bins?!? Just tried this place for the first time and I was really impressed. There were super fresh ingredients and many options to appeal to all in your group. I got the thick noodles in a bowl with chicken, veggies and Mongolian sauce. Definitely hit the spot. I went with two friends - one got a coconut curry bowl with tofu and egg noodles and the other a sriracha tofu bowl with brown rice. Good customer service and the place was super busy, but moving people through quickly. *Update* I recently called to place an order for pickup - to Wok Fire Noodle Bowls that both had chicken. I place the order and start driving. I get a missed call and I call them back and the guy says "We are out of chicken, but I think we can make it work." Idk about you, but that seems questionable. I don't mess with chicken. How are you out of chicken but going to make it work for 2 large bowls that require chicken? I really enjoy going there for lunch. The staff is super awesome and always friendly. They make an effort to remember your name if you go there regularly. The food is always excellent, and the choices are endless with the buffet-like options for veggies. Always served hot and fresh, and the rewards program is super generous with valuable coupons coming out regularly. Good food but the most obnoxious marketing in the world. The amounts of random texts and emails you get is ridiculous, you'd think it's a political candidate on the other end. The most corny and confusing shit ever too- beyond the infinite emails (that's fine) and text messages to my number (somewhat intrusive imo), they even sent physical mail to my parents house purposely designed like an IRS notice, with the campaign being "Americans get billions in tax back every year, here's some money back from Wok too". Who comes up with this shit??? Normally it's not a big deal, until it becomes aggressively over the top and annoying. And when you actually try to redeem it, the app is so confusing that it's impossible anyways. My recommendation: eat the food as it's pretty good but for gods sake don't sign up for their rewards program. read more

My friend and I have lunch together fairly often and we've had our eyes on this place for a while now. We pass by pretty often since it is located fairly close to Eller. I looked at the menu online first, though and it seemed a little overwhelming for someone as indecisive as I am. But, it was an easy process. Build your own bowl in a Chipotle-style line! I love it. They have many options for bowls: noodles, rice, etc. They also have spring rolls and pho (yay!) that you can put whatever you would like into. The owners are both Chinese and Vietnamese so it is a fusion of both cuisines. It is also very affordable and we left feeling satisfied. Excellent service and excellent food! My only issue is parking since it is in such a small building. Otherwise, my friend and I have decided Wok Fire & Grill is our new favorite lunch spot! read more

I am usually so happy with the food I get from Wok Fire. Tonight, unfortunately, this was not the case. My crab puffs were way overcooked... too dark brown from being fried too long, and the cream cheese inside was dried up from overcooking. My sesame chicken wasn't at all sweet, and was instead super salty! So bad. Not to mention that I ordered two dinner combos for my husband and I, which both came with fried rice, and we seriously only received about 1/4 cup of the rice in each container! I get that it was 7:50pm when I ordered, but if you are nearly out of something, just 86 it for the night instead of selling super tiny, disappointing portions to your customers. I'm just sad. Got a menu in the mail for this place and instantly knew it was what we wanted for dinner. 1st time hearing of it and shame on me for not reading the reviews!! I liked that the delivery fee was low and they had an extensive menu. We ordered at 615pm and received our food at 740pm. The food was piping hot but the packaging was crushed and the food looked bland and sloppy. To our surprise the food was actually very flavorful! I had upgraded my meal to include 2 free egg rolls (it was even written on the container) but it was missing from our order. I ordered tofu spring rolls and they were HUGE...unfortunately the tofu tasted days old-it was dried out and put a slice down the roll so everything just fell out. The peanut sauce was more like water. We ordered a passion fruit milk tea..no tapioca...it of course had tapioca and tasted like mango. Again the flavors and temperature of the food are the only thing giving this place its 1 star...so dissatisfied..and pricey!! read more

This place is awesome! I have been here a couple times, and have never had a bad experience. The food is always great and the options are truly endless. Also, I love the location because it is so close to Eller and a walking distance from University. Each time I go there, I try to experiment with a new style and I have always been impressed. I've tried the fried rice, ramen, chow mein, and the low mein. It's basically a chipotle version of pei wei but its cooked to order like Mongolian BBQ. The ingredients are fresh and right in front of you, making it easy to choose the bowl of your dreams. Anything you can think of, they most likely have it. The only slight issue I have with the restaurant is that there is very minimal parking. You are allowed to park at the Circle K next door or the parking garage across the street, but it there isn't any advertised parking on the premise. Overall, this is a great place to get some unique and tasty food that's prepared right in front of you. Great options, and an even greater price. 5/5 read more

I ordered a chicken pho soup and a spring roll through GrubHub for home delivery. Never in my life have I ever been served a more wretched bowl of "chicken" pho. There was essentially no chicken in it, only lots chicken gristle, bits of half boiled skin like the chicken tail (ugh), and yellow lardy fat deposits. The spring roll also had the same disgusting quality of "chicken". To their credit, the restaurant refunded my money through GrubHub, but I'll never eat here again. Twice outstanding and once so-so. Great concept, if you're a student it's an ideal location but parking is a pain. Food is really good, just not consistent yet. My 5 stars drops to 4 for parking but really because service really is not so great. I recognize it's students trying to earn extra money and not fully invested into service but it can be so annoying to get attitude or forgetfulness when you're taking the extra time and expenses of parking. Also like many family restaurants that have the owners children in the house...your daughter needs to find a different place to hang out then at one of the 4 main tables. It's a tiny fast food place but it's not always ideal to sit outside in Tucson. Will definitely try it again if I'm in the area. read more
