I had the absolute best experience at Wona Bridal! From the moment I walked in, everything felt so welcoming and special. Honestly, I had such a wonderful experience that I think everyone who comes here will feel just as taken care of. The first time I went with my mother in law, we fell in love with a dress immediately I didn't even go to any other stores because I just knew it was the one. I came back for a second try on and said YES! Alyssa was truly the best ever she made the entire process feel so easy, fun, and stress free. She really listened to what I wanted and helped me pick the most beautiful veil that matched my Star Wars theme. Plus, we had the best conversation about Marvel and Star Wars which made the experience even more fun and personal! One thing I loved is that unlike other places that require a deposit just to make an appointment, Wona Bridal doesn't require that. They just have a $50 cancellation fee if you cancel the same day or don't show, which made scheduling so much easier. I also loved that they had such great promotions when I went in during March I got $500 off my veil and 10% off my dress, and they even gave me a goodie bag for saying YES to the dress, which was so nice and thoughtful. When I shared my budget, I was bluntly told, in a very matter-of-fact, pretentious way, that it was "way less than anything they could offer." Our experience at WONA was wonderful. Alyssa was my daughter's stylist and she was warm, knowledgeable, and fun. The dresses are beautiful. We went to several salons in the LA area. Honestly, we did not book with WONA because of the bad reviews. I booked a last minute appointment with WONA and my daughter found her dream dress. SO many stunning dresses, exquisite construction, and unique designs. There is a smaller selection of gowns compared to other salons. However, the quality and fit of WONA gowns, for this price point, was unmatched in the LA area. The staff was friendly, welcomed us in, allowed us to browse. From the moment I arrived, the associate helping me seemed disinterested and inconvenienced by my presence. It felt like I had to push her just to do her job. I came in to see a specific dress. After trying it on, I realized it wasn't what I expected, so I asked to see other dresses in a similar style. Instead of being helpful or proactive, she treated it like a hassle. She only brought out one additional dress and made no effort to show me more options that matched my preferences. There was no attempt to guide me, suggest alternatives, or help me explore what I was actually looking for. The entire interaction felt like I was talking to a wall, no engagement, no warmth, no interest in helping me find something I loved. On top of that, I was told she would follow up with me about their loaning program. It has now been two weeks and I have received no communication whatsoever. I left feeling dismissed, rushed, and unsupported. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. read more

I found a dress that I utterly love & fell in love with immediately. The price was much less than other bridal stores almost $5K after taxes.. maybe a bit less. However, I want other brides to be aware that even though this is still expensive... it's low in the bridal store realm.. which means, the service you receive will not be like other more expensive stores. There is a stark difference between the customer care I got at other bridal shops ($8K+) compared to here. I found the energy always to be funky, weird, awkward and intimidating. They did let me pop in randomly to try on my outsourced veil I bought .. with the dress they had in store which was nice but -- I had to come in a couple different occasions & there was only one occasion where the person helping me seemed to be in a nice and bubbly mood. Other than that, the energy never felt good or right. I found myself being doubtful during the wait time between purchase vs receiving dresses.. I'd play back conversations in my head and would realize I didn't get full clarification on something, etc. At this bridal shop , you are the one that needs to remember every single question to ask.. or else, information isn't just handed to you. Which is very different than other places I've been that freely broke down every small detail upon try on sessions. The only good part about my experience here is this seamstress. She was an angle to work with.. and went above and beyond for me. After the dress came in -- I met with their seamstress that they bring to their shop (separate entity) and did my try on & she marked where alterations needed to be. Everything was lovely and she made me feel confident in everything. She's great! After the appt, I was informed that Zelle (and I think checks) were the only payment method accepted. No credit cards. This is no fault to the seamstress -- but the employees should pre warn brides about this in advance. I'm lucky I had nearly $2K saved for this... but it's only bc I asked a month prior to delivery what the approx range would be... (I should've asked way sooner but didn't think to). I was shocked that no one would let me know this sooner. Anyways. Made the payment, and turn around was two weeks. Came back & the dress was absolutely perfect and the seamstress was amazing per usual. However, she wanted to fix one more tiny thing... and so I'd have to come back again- which is completely fine.. but I requested to come on the weekend bc I've maxed out my PTO. The seamstress asked the front desk if it was okay for me to do so... I heard the entire conversation. She was told it's not possible. I think she may have even mentioned that seamstress appts are only week days. so instead, the seamstress was kind enough to meet up with me outside the bridal shop elsewhere. I was stunned that she was putting more effort than the actual bridal shop to help me. It's evident they care more about future sales, than helping & catering to the brides who already made a purchase. I did make a complaint after and was told the person she spoke to was under the impression I needed to try it on again. However, I heard the conversation and the seamstress specifically added that it would only be 5 minutes "even if I wanted to try it on." She also explained everything is 100% done, she just needed to change the color/material she added behind the corset. It was just a slab of material to hide skin under the corset string... it needed to be more ivory. Such a simple thing. In no moment did the employee ask me if I did or didn't need to try it on. Instead she just kept saying it wasn't possible and just watched me and the seamstress try to figure it out on our own while the seamstress asked if it was ok for her to give it to me outside work hours. Even if I tried it on, staying 5 -10 minutes after work hours isn't that hard. When I came in on a random day to try my veil on with a dress I was literally in and out in 7 minutes. If the seamstress is willing to meet me after hours at a non bridal shop location... why wouldn't they be able to make a small exception for me to try it on one last time (even though I didn't even need to try it on). I did make my complaints -- the responses stated "As outlined in the alterations agreement, once alterations begin, our role shifts to simply providing space within the store for fittings during times that work for our store to ensure brides have a fitting room for these appointments." The other things they said in their response was very nice... but in my opinion it's not a true representation of who they are in person... and the lack of efforts they provide in person. All in all, for all future brides, just be aware of these things before purchasing. I'm just glad that my dress is how I want it to be and the seamstress is the only reason my experience was as enjoyable as it was. read more

I was matched with a sales associate Alyssa and do your self a favor and special request her!!! She was kind, calming, confident, and so stinkin helpful! I went in not really knowing what I wanted and she helped me pick a few out and the very first one I tried on was the one! Thank you Alyssa for making the process so fun and enjoyable. The absolute worst experience ever. They have no clue how deposits work. We ordered a dress and the MATCHING skirt but received a much different color skirt. The employees that work there had absolutely no idea what to do. They contacted the owner and the store manager who don't even live in the United States for a resolution and the only resolution was too bad if you don't like the skirt you will lose your deposit and if you don't pay for the whole thing you cannot take your wedding dress home. Lose a $3500.00 deposit and no wedding dress 1 month from the wedding because they made the skirt in a different color!! Are you serious? This place and the owners are scam artists. I am absolutely mortified at their business practices and will file a lawsuit against them. It is illegal to take a deposit for promised goods and deliver a completely different product and expect the consumer to pay for the wrong product. A deposit and contract is a mutual agreement and both parties must deliver their side of the agreement. In addition ruining the brides most important day of her life. We will also sue for pain and suffering. Do not buy your dress from here. It is by far the worst customer service experience and illegal business practices that we have ever witnessed. We are now stuck a month before the wedding with no resolution, no dress, and out $3500. This review is not an exaggeration it is absolutely 100% what is happening and I do not want any other bride to be in tears over something like this. read more

If you are bigger than a size 2, do not bother making an appointment. The customer service was atrocious. The second we walked in the sales representative looked the bride up and down and immediately made back handed comments about her size. She is an average size 8-10 and was treated like she was a pig. It's 7 months away from the wedding and was going to be charged extra to expedite. I understand the dress has to be custom made to the measurements. They also charge an extra 10% for "plus size" women. A size 8-10 is not plus. To pay an extra 25% is absurd. The atrocious customer service and the penny-pinching by the sales woman made this awful. The bride was able to find the dress cheaper from a different store and will be doing that. In no way do we want to support this business and I do not recommend this store. read more

Terrible experience, unprofressional sales staff, insulting customer service. I came to the LA store the way from GA and actually found my dress. Upon picking up my dress months later, I unfortunately had a very different experience than my first go-around. As one of the sales staff was helping me into the dress, she carelessly broke the clasp on the back rather than requesting assistance from another staff member. My friend who was with me for my appointment needed to step in and assist, since no call for help was made. After finally putting the dress on and walking out to the floor, I came back to the room to remove the dress. That is when my friend noticed makeup stains on the back of my dress. Neither my friend nor myself came to the appointment with makeup on. The staff member helping me with my dress made no attempt to wash her hands or put on gloves prior to assisting me. Gross and careless. She insisted on taking it to the back to attempt to remove the stain with solution. If you think you're picking up your perfect, spotless gown from this shop after waiting months for its arrival...think again. You would think working in a bridal shop where everything is white would ensure you are more careful. Apparently not. After inspecting the dress further, I found purple paint markings at the bottom of my train. When I asked about it, I was told it was from "when I was walking the floor." A sad attempt for an excuse. The staff member went back to put solution on it again. I asked to speak with the manager at this point. I was told the manager was in New York and couldn't be reached except via text through the staff. After multiple back-and-forths and one hour later, she finally agreed to speak with me. I requested a discount to the dress because at this point, it was not full price material. This dress had been tide-pen'd multiple times - it had been tarnished and accompanied by the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I was told it was "out of policy" to discount a dress and was offered a complimentary accessory. I objected of course becuase why would I want to own anything additional from this brand? Then I was offered free dry cleaning. As if I was going to leave my gown with them AGAIN. I was going to take my dress back to Georgia myself. After spending 3.5 hours for a TRY ON appointment, I was forced to take the sales manager's offer of a complimentary veil and $100 cash...$100 off a $4,000 dress. Great customer service - "here's a 2.5% discount for the terrible expereince we gave you oh and you can only pick a veil from these 5 preselcted options that we present you." I requested the veil in a cathedral length with satin lining and just received it in the mail. IT IS A PLAIN WHITE VEIL WITH NOTHING ON IT. These people are hilariously incompentent. She is exceptional and helped me immensely in the process. Every gown fit me so well and the quality is stunning.
