Sigh. Foodworx mask use has gotten worse. Not covering the nose, or even down around the chin, even in the food prep area. It's possible that the owners and employees think that the plexiglass barrier is enough (I've been told that in other stores), but that's definitely not right, and as Foodworx preps food, they have been informed on proper safety. I know for a fact that they've been called before for poor mask hygiene, and were aware of it. That they continue to be sloppy, kinda boggles the mind. I am trying new places because of the Coronavirus. Foodworx surpassed my expectations by far. We ordered through a third party app, and the food was prepared very quickly. It was also delivered even quicker. Great service all around! When we got our dinner it was hot! Another plus. The roast beef specialty hero was amazing. The cheese was nicely melted, the hero was toasted perfectly and the roast beef was heated through. Very big hero! I will be eating this for days. The chicken parmesean hero was excellent, with a large piece of chicken, hot melted cheese and mild but flavorful marinara sauce. Also a huge portion. They didn't have French fries or a great deal of sides, but for a Sunday night during the COVID-19 virus, a large can of Pringles was absolutely fine. They also have bags of chips and lots of bottled beverages. I hear that their breakfasts are amazing, so that's what we will try next. Great local deli and convenience store. They make delicious overstuffed sandwiches and wraps. Fairly priced. A great bang for your buck. Despite every customer wearing face coverings not one of the employees, including those preparing food, wore a mask. read more

You can get great tasting sandwiches at Foodworx. Jimmy and Nick run the show for the overnights. I always get my sandwich the way I order it and it always tastes great. I don't know if it's the way they toast their bread or the fresh ingredients but these hero's hit the spot for me. I have tried almost the entire list and my favorites are the turkey club, Italian and this off menu item I call Jimmy's vegetarian hero. If you like the spice and feel like passing on the meat, trust me you will love it. It has avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle Mayo, spicy peppers, hash brown, pickles, American cheese and chili powder. But you can ask for any ingredients really and they will take care of you. I frequent this store for convenience but have decided to stop because I consistently find the employees behind the food counter with their masks off, and they allow customers to come in and out of the store with no masks as well. I used to come to Foodworx when I was a kid in high school doing scavenger hunts and had to take a picture of myself paying for unmentionable items in coins for 50 points. To be honest I haven't been back since until recently when I was taking a late train into the city and needed to stop somewhere to get a bite to eat. I didn't want Little Vincents and so my options were limited. Someone at the bar I was at mentioned Foodworx and after reminiscing about my trips there in high school I decided to give it a shot. I was just looking for something quick. The place is definitely old, nothing fancy about it. They had a good selection of snacks and drinks, exactly what you can expect from a convenience store. However, they also had Boar's Head meats, Hello! I thought that was awesome. I got a Quest bar and only had credit cards and I didn't meet the minimum credit card limit. (I think that rule is bologna.) Anyways, I needed to add something to my purchase so I literally got some Boar's Head turkey, so random, but it was fantastic and fresh. Their breakfast sandwiches sounded amazing I would think about coming back to try one, ha maybe. read more

I go here often, order the same thing. It's super fast service but you never know what you will get nor will you know what you'll be charged. Either it's Dirty potato salad, sour macaroni salad, a stale roll, or you just will be denied service because of the $5 credit card minimum. I think I can finally say that I've had enough. read more

Everything is overpriced, even though it's a bodega and prices are expected to be a little high. They don't mark the prices for the beer, so I was amazed when I grabbed a six-pack of hoegaarden and it was rung up as $12.50. Granted it is premium beer, but I have never seen it priced over $9.99 anywhere. When I explained that I no longer wanted to purchase it because of the price, the cashier got all offended and tried persuading me that it is the going market rate, which is totally incorrect. While I was on Long Island, I wanted to pick up a sandwich for my trip back Upstate. At that point, I was looking for a deli and found Foodworx, as they were advertising deli sandwiches. Foodworx is a convenience store that also sell sandwiches. I ordered tuna on a sub (hero) roll, filled out a slip of paper with my selections for toppings (such as cheese and vegetables) and quickly received my order. The sandwich, while tasty and satisfying, was pretty much average. read more

Place deserves zero stars. EVERYTHING IS OVER PRICED. Food is sloppy, suspect you never know what your gonna get. The owners/managers don't care about loyal customers, just look as locals as cash cows. The employees are nice pricing is not there fault. They raised the price of mango juul pods to $30 bc its the most popular flavor. Thats $12 more than any other store around. Literally raised price just to rip of customers.
