I was looking for a new play place to take my 3 year old and I stumbled upon Wonder Kids. The unique thing here that I have not seen anywhere else is a trampoline area. There were two large trampolines. There is a large climbing area with slides, tunnels, ball pit, and swing. A slide I've never seen anywhere (except at Great Country Farms) is that plastic stick material with a tube to go down it. There is a lego area, a kitchen area, and a foam "house" with two slides. There are ride-on toys spread around; my son loved the Paw Patrol police car. Additionally, there was a foam block area with a few other toys for babies. I saw kids ranging from months old to 10-11. There is enough to keep everyone entertained for the two hour slot you receive. I believe it was around $14.95 for age 4 and up (with lower ages costing less) and the first adult is free. The bathrooms were clean on our visit. There are small snacks for purchase as well as drinks. This playground was around 30 minutes away and was not too crowded on Veteran's Day. I would return again and also bring my 7 month old so she could have fun too.- read more

I visited Wonder Kids last month with my two-year-old, who would probably give the place six stars out of five if she were writing the review. THE GOOD: For the most part, we had a very nice time on the Wednesday morning/early afternoon on which we visited. The place seemed clean and there were large varieties of toys to play with, blocks to build with, toy vehicles to ride in, and play areas to explore. I was impressed at the thought that seems to have gone into putting this place together. I noticed that other reviewers mentioned an overly aggressive owner strictly enforcing clean-up rules, but that was not our experience. In fact, the one employee who was present was polite, explained everything in a straightforward way, and then barely paid attention to us at all once we paid. THE NEUTRAL: The website insists that Wonder Kids is designed for kids up to age 10, but I don't think a kid who's older than about 6 would have a good time here. This place is really not geared towards older children. (Your toddler or preschool-aged kid will probably have a blast, though.) It will seem huge to a two-year-old, but small and claustrophobic to a nine-year-old. The music that was playing on the overhead speakers was a classical music radio station. I kind of enjoyed it, but I understand why some kids and parents might find that strange. We had the place entirely to ourselves for nearly our entire stay. From what I hear from my neighbors, that is typical and Wonder Kids is nearly always empty or near-empty, even on weekends. Some families might love that, but others might find it depressing. THE BAD: The facility is in a run-down strip mall, which makes it appear sketchy on the outside. There was a collection of baby and toddler toys available to play with, but all of the electronic toys were either broken or had batteries that needed replacing. My toddler didn't care, but I found this disappointing. If there was a changing table available, I couldn't find it, meaning I had to change my daughter's diaper in the middle of the floor of the storage area we had to pass through in order to reach the bathrooms. read more

Ok- so I like the concept of this place and the set up. Very creative play areas with a little lounge (very little) for parents to hang and have a snack purchased from the front desk area. The only thing is that the place feels a little stuffy and perhaps they don't do a deep clean at close or open of business. With all of the germy kids- this should be a #1 priority. The guy at the front just kinda sat there and looked like he was over it. (Which is understandable being around and listening to kids all day) He was nice enough. When we went there was no music playing so it made a little awkward but the kids had fun. Pay them a visit and see what you think. Wonder kids is a really fun indoor playground for probably between the ages of 1.5 to ~6 or 7. It has several slides that land in fun ball pits, a couple trampolines, and even some swings. It also has a decent sized climbing gym area for the older kids but it's not big enough that I would bring a kid older than ~7. There is a really well-stocked, large play kitchen as well which my almost 3 year-old loved. The large LEGO tables were fun in concept but it was hard to really build much with them. The place was surprisingly empty on a Sunday afternoon. It may be because the price is a bit high for what you get. I spent almost $30 for a 2 and 5 year-old to play for two hours, and the ice creams were $3 each. They had snacks and drinks for sale but those were overpriced as well. One major flaw is the security. There is a back room with a door to the outside which is fully accessible because it is where the bathrooms are located, so if you weren't watching closely (which hopefully you are) then your kid could run outside or get into things because the area isn't padded and safe like everything else. The front door is also easy to run right out of. The kids can run freely pretty much anywhere and my 2 year-old could open the front door and run right out. There was only one employee there and he was playing in the play area with his kid a lot so sometimes nobody was up there. Again, hopefully you're keeping a close eye on your kids but it's nice to have peace of mind when they are in a secure place where they can't escape and this one had two escape routes to the outside. read more

They have rubber slippers to wear to the bathroom since you have to wear socks. Lots of snacks and drinks available to purchase. My 4 yr old and 2 yr old had a blast. We tried WonderKids today and had a great experience! Super clean, and a lot of variety in activities. I came with my little girl who is 1 and a friend with her 3.5 year old. There are tables for building with Megablocks; a play kitchen area; a cool foam block castle with 2 slides; a smaller child trampoline, slide, ballpit area; and bigger kid areas for trampolines, tunnels, slide, ballpit area. There are several cars to ride around in, and there's a nice foam block area that littles can enjoy. The colors are bright, and the whole space is very cheerful and fun. There's an area where you can sit and have a snack (drinks and food sold too). We will definitely be back, loved trying a new indoor playground in the area. read more

Wonder kids is absolutely fantastic. We were hesitant to go to an indoor play place during COVID, but they offered a private reservation so you and a couple of friends in your pod could have an indoor place all to yourself for two hours. A ton of thought has gone into the place, there is pretty much anything a kid could want: maze, balls, pretend kitchen, climbing castle, cars, rocking horses, foam blocks, swings, trampolines, you name it. It was super clean and the lay out is designed so you can see everything from almost anywhere. They offer snacks and beverages to buy, in the event you get hungry. Brought my 18 month old to Wonder Kids and she had a blast. Her favorite thing was certainly the slide that goes straight into the ball pit. The place was clean and I saw the owner/manager constantly vacuuming. Didn't see anything broken and most toys were in great condition. Avoid. Not as kid friendly as you would expect. I arrived on a Friday afternoon with my nephew who is 2, my newborn niece who's 1 month and my sister in law to a practically empty place with only one other child playing. Only the manager was working that day but right off the bat we felt tension as he spent so much time simply going over cleaning rules. The guy does not care if you get what you paid for. Newsflash sir, most kids are messy when they play which is why most places employ additional cleaning staff. I suggest you make that an investment for the future. He also made my sister in law pay simply for sitting in the waiting area. We explained that she would not be coming onto the gym floor as she had to sit down and watch my newborn niece but this guy was not having it and made us pay nonetheless.the lack of focus on customer service and the overall unfriendly attitude of this establishment is simply a turn off, I will never return here again or recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

I had my son's birthday party at Wonder Kids without much expectations but it turned out to be very good! The party room was just a perfect size for the private party and the birthday backdrop/wallpaper in the room was so cute! Most importantly the kids really enjoyed playing in different areas and my son loved jumping on the big trampoline and taking the tube slide. (I even tried it and it was so much fun!) This place is ridiculously clean! If you're constantly concerned about germs but want to take your kids somewhere, this is probably your best option. The owner has done a great job keeping everything as pristine as you can keep a kids gym. Yes you do need socks here but I don't know if any other kids gym that doesn't require socks so that's a normal requirement-- if you forget socks they do sell it here for a nominal cost or you can go to the dollar store next door to get some. The owner is friendly but does have a set of rules that he asks you follow-- just housekeeping stuff. As a mom of a little one, I appreciate that he enforces it because i don't want bigger kids mowing my baby down in the baby area.. the only way to ensure that is if the workers enforce the age rule. There's a ton to do if you have babies under 2 - mini slide, mini ball pit, foam blocks pit, soft climbing area, crawl through tunnel, cars and rody bouncers, rocking horses, and also a lot for kids over 2- multiple slides (even a sensory slide), trampoline areas, ball pits, tunnels and jungle gyms and even a mini air bounce house. If your child prefers other play such as kitchens or legos they have areas dedicated to that too-- and a mini rock wall to climb. Overall for the price, it's a great great place to take the kids- a bit smaller than scramble in Alexandria so you can monitor your kids at all times but way bigger and more to do than a busy bee or my gym. There is a 2 hr time limit to your admission but that's about the perfect time for most kids anyways. We had a group of four kids between the ages of 1-3 and most went down by the 1 hr mark. We will definitely be back for more visits. A super plus is they're open during most holidays so if you're at home and you want something to do with the kids on Christmas or Christmas Eve or any other holidays this may be th perfect place to expend someone of that little kid energy! read more

Really nice indoor activity area! Took my 9 month old son there and he had a great time! The place is very clean and is divided into different sections. They have a play area for 0-2 with plenty of activities for them. It's a nice open area so if you have older kids you can easily keep an eye on them from either the seating area or from the infant play area. read more

This is one of my favorite places to take my son in the area. It's very clean, unlike a lot of other indoor play areas, and there's a lot of things to keep my 16 month old occupied for hours. I see I am going against the grain here with my two-star rating given that this place has gotten stellar reviews. But I am still going to speak my truth :) If my preschool son were giving this review, Wonder Kids would get a 5 out of 5. There is a variety of awesome, kid-friendly features: from ball pits and trampolines to a climbing wall and slides. He had a blast. As a parent, however, I was put off by a number of things, namely: #1 - the policy of making babies 6 months-1 year old pay admission. Yes, I get there is a designated play area for the 3 and under set, but on principal I refuse to pay for a baby that can't even walk. At similar places I've visited, 1 year olds and under are free. #2 - the owner/manager was very friendly when I first arrived but he also explained that all balls that come out of the pit must be put back inside. Oookay, I thought. Having young kids I've been to similar places like this and usually they are jam packed with kids having fun like little maniacs. No one is thinking about clean up (though most people try to be courteous and put back toys that are obviously out of place). I soon learned the reason why Wonder Kids was spotless (nay, sterile): the owner is, uh, vigilant. He was walking around with a hand vac cleaning up perceived messes. And he eyed that ball pit like a starved lion looking at its next meal. He also chastised my son for accidentally walking into the play area with a bottled water. I saw my son make this innocent mistake--he's 4--and was in the process of telling him to take the water back when the owner loudly chimed in. Um, thanks but as the parent: I. Got. This. The owner also freaked out when my son started, gasp, adding to a lego-like castle structure that is part of the play area. You don't know me or my kids. But my son is really like the most gentle kid you'll ever meet. He's super shy, polite to a fault and while he's not perfect, he's a good kid. And he was just being a kid at Wonder Kids. But it was discouraging how fastidious management was. It doesn't feel like Wonder Kids is a place you go to let your kids be free and enjoy themselves (within reason, obviously). At least not in my experience. Maybe that is why on a cold, winter day--on a weekend no less--the place had hardly any patrons. read more

I love this place! I brought my baby to here for 3 times already and she had a blast every visit. Just a little concern for this place is unsupervised children. For every visit, I had to deal with unsupervised children (parents were hanging out by the rest area and chatting with other parents) for myself running aggressively and throwing objects. I just had an incident where one preschool boy grabbed my baby's arm aggressively to stop her from climing up to the bouncer. Please please take care of your children and supervise them. They are still little people and need our supervision all time. read more

We had previously recommend wonder kids to our friends and family, but this is no longer the case. We had bought the 5 membership pass when it first opened, and used it with friends and family as the owner assured us that can be done. There were no issues at first. With my friend there, I asked the owner when does the pass expires and he told me he leaves it blank for us and so no expiration date. So I go ahead and purchase another pass. Fast forward to when we wanted to use it this week, the same owner who promised there was no expiration date on the pass says it expired. And no you can't use it for friends and family. Ok, but at time of purchase when you took my money, he the owner himself had verbally said that it has no expiration date, not just in front of me but in front of my friend too. If we had known that, we wouldn't have purchase it. Sorry that was our last visit, we can no longer support a business that doesn't honor its own word and policy. read more

We had my daughters 4th birthday party here yesterday and I cannot speak highly enough of Wonderkids! From the day I booked all the way through the end of the party yesterday, the owner handled everything perfectly! We chose the premium party, my daughter got her choice of themes (she chose dinosaurs!) and choice of what kind of cake and basically that is all I had to do! I walked in 10 minutes before the party yesterday with nothing but my kids and a fruit tray and everything was all set! The party room looked AWESOME! For the two hours of the party, he took care of everything-all my friends and family were SO impressed! The kids went crazy playing for an hour n a half, then he had hot pizza at the time we chose, then he brought out a amazingly cool dinosaur cake....I didn't even have to cut or serve the pizza or cake! As a mom, I was SO appreciative of not really having to lift a finger and got to enjoy the entire party with my kids! When we left, my friends and i were talking about how he was seriously a one man show handling everything! I had debated whether I wanted to spend the money on this party or just have it at my house like usual, but I clearly made the right decision! We used to come to Wonder Kids almost weekly, but since our last trip a few days ago, I don't think we will be going back. My main issue is that the manager is incredibly anal about keeping the play area very clean, he practically follows the kids around to either clean up after them(even if they are still playing), or to tell them to clean up(especially the balls). He wouldn't even let my son and daughter build with the big foam LEGO's. I'd be okay with his policy of cleanliness if the bathrooms weren't absolutely disgusting. How can someone be so concerned about the play area being clean, but not give one damn about the bathrooms? The changing table pad is incredibly gross(should be changed at least a few times a year in a place like this), the sink looks like it's never seen a sponge or cleaning spray, and behind the toilet is literally vomit inducing. My three year old hasn't mastered the art of hovering, like I'm sure most young kids haven't, and I shouldn't have to be worried about what kind of disgusting germs she's sitting on to use the toilet. Either hire someone to clean the bathrooms or do it yourself, manager. It's a 15 minute job if done twice weekly as it should be at a place like this. read more

This place is cute, fun and clean. My review has nothing to do with that. My review has to do with the huge legal liability the owner has taken on. On the website more than once it clearly states it's a nut free facility. To my terror we walked in to see being sold nutter butters, peanut butter crackers, Nutella and nut topped ice cream. As a parent of a child with a contact allergy this was literally my worst nightmare. This is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen if a reaction occurs. read more
