My wife and I had a few days off and decided to give this local attraction a try. This was a prize at a gala silent auction. Did not know really what to expect, but we were told that it was very hands on, and very interactive. Boy was it ever. There was arcade games, optical illusions, wind machines, rain machines, hurricane machines, earthquake in hurricane displays, laser tag, and lots of virtual reality games. It's definitely a family oriented experience like no other attraction in Orlando. Even us "old folks@ enjoyed it. Great place for kids, great place for parents, great place for the grandparents. Parking is not an issue since there is a parking garage located right behind the attraction. So if you got that science nerd in your family, I'm sure they would enjoy this. I was always intrigued by this place because let's face it... the outside is AWESOME! We do not have a Wonderworks where I live (NJ) so I had to check this place out, plus it was across the street from my hotel. I bought tickets ahead of time because I wasn't sure how busy it would be. It wasn't busy at all so I don't think it was necessary. I believe I paid $35 per person. This is definitely a kid-type of place but it is fun for adults as well. It has a lot of hands of experience and deal a lot of with weather, lights, sound, etc. I don't think it was worth $35 per person - at least not to me. It was fun but I expected more. I will say that I don't know about all of the things there, but for the roller coaster simulator, they did sanitize it between riders which was great to see. They did have hand sanitizer readily available there. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? Possibly. If you are in the area and it's raining, sure. read more

My friends and I came to this place and had a good time, however it is mediocre at best. We went to the 2nd floor and got on the astronaut experience. My friend asked the worker Noel, "Is this safe, am I going to fall out?" and he responded "No you wont, not like that kid at ICON park". "That kid" was someones son. His name was Tyre Sampson. He was only 14 years old. An adult making a "joke" about a child dying should not be working with children. I talked to the supervisor and he assured me that he would talk to Noel. The only thing that happened was he swapped shifts with him, following with a fist bump. My friends and I will not be returning to this place. The weather forecasters said there was an 80% chance of rain in Orlando. My wife, who like the Wicked Witch of the West, is scared of rain decided that we could not spend the day at Walt Disney World and face the chance of getting wet. As a result, I was forced to make alternate plans. I googled "What to do on a rainy in Orlando?" Google told me to go to WonderWorks. Wonderworks is located in an upside down builidng. Rumor has it that Dr. Wonder created a tornado. Something went wrong with the tornado that Dr. Wonder created and carried the laboratory here to Orlando. WonnderWorks is basically a science museum for children. They have all kinds of fun exhibits for the kids. After paying for our admission, everyone is forced to enter through the inversion tunnel. A tunnel with rotating walls that can get some people sick. The first stop for my daugther was the Earthquake machine. I don't know what my daughter was thinking. Someone forgot to tell her that we are from Southern California. We experienced a 5.1 earthquake without a machine. The earthquake machine may be cool for kids and for people that are not from California. Their photographers then stopped us so that he could take our photos and sell it to us as well left. We obliged and posed like he told us to. As we left, our photo were not ready yet. But, that was okay. We were able to watch the guy "photoshop" our pictures. "Photoshop" or whatever program they used was very cool! What would be better is if they turn this into an exhibit for kids and teach the children the art of "photoshop", instead of having a technician "fix" the photo to sell it to us. My daughter really wanted to go on the rope course. But, WonderWorks has a rule that you cannot wear a dress or skirt. My daughter did wear a skirt. It was a good rule to have. I loved their "artwork" walking up and down the stairs. They art was the kind I like, with optical illusions. They have lots of fun exhibits, all of which involve some kind of science. They had exhibits involving physical science and natural disasters, physical challenges, space, and others. Most of the exhibits were fun and educational. I wish that they carried on the theme of Dr. Wonder. But, they had enough interesting exhibits where they didn't have to. WonderWorks is a great place to go to when it rains. I wasn't planning to come here during our last visit to Orlando but my son insisted and I just couldn't resist. Brought back a lot of memories as I visited many times in my younger years. I feel like admission is overpriced, $54 after coupons for two adults is a bit much! No way I'm bringing the whole family here when all the kids have to pay. The place is fun and has unique things but again, a bit pricey for my taste given the fact that there really isn't much to do. 4D 5 min movie, laser tag (not included with regular admission), giant bubble area, bed of nails, "space/astronaut" area, simulator ride, indoor high ropes course, arcades (not included with regular admission, uses tokens), an earthquake simulator, hurricane simulator, and more activities for kids. Soooooooooo we wanted to give the neurodivergent kiddo a good time in Orlando & one place we stumbled on this place. Easy to get to, parking was cheap and the price was midrange considering the other attractions around. First up, there was a line which is a sin for our autistic guy but it moved and he was in full blown meltdown by the time we got to the front. The first entrance way is dark and had strobe lights and he wasn't for it. Then a Ms Tina at the desk told us of an alternate entrance and that made all the difference. We were great from there! Plenty of attractions inside & although it was a tad cramped and crowded at parts, it made everything even better. He got to play WITH other children, they had a good deal of sensory friendly portions where he got plenty of his sensory needs met. After he got his fill we went to the cafeteria and he had pizza that was actually pretty good and the prices weren't exorbitant in the slightest. Not only was the staff understanding and helpful but honestly the patience of Ms Tina made our day when we thought we wouldn't get past the meltdown at the entrance. WonderWorks on International Drive has been around forever. My grown children used to take regular school field trips here. It has evolved through the years making return visits enjoyable. If you purchase your tickets online you get two dollars off per ticket. In addition to the play area they also offer an audience participation dinner show nightly. The attraction is open every day of the year from 9am to midnight. I recently visited WonderWorks and buzzed through the over 100 hands on exhibits with my grandson. Its priced great at $33 for adults that includes all the exibits, a round of lasertag, a 3d show, and a round of the ropes course. What a bargain! Eacg exibit was so interesting our fav were the bubbles and the rides on the last floor before the laser tag. Unfortunately we didnt make it in time for the 4d shows but the laser tag was fun and the ropes course was awesome. This is a must do if youve never been before! They have a cafe if you get hungry which is mostly pizza and snacks. They close late at midnight on the sunday we went which is great. Came here for a work team building event and it had lots of fun things to do. Several of the games are better suited for the youth but there are things for adults such as the rope course and laser tag. Prepare to climb the three stories of the building to get to different items and exhibits to try. I didn't get to do any of the arcade games since you need to purchase tokens and I don't spend on that. Almost all my coworkers did the rope course and talked about the strap harness giving wedgies... fun in the hidden places lol. There is a roller coaster simulator which I could not do due to claustrophobia and the entire thing is enclosed so I wouldn't have been able to sit inside in any way. read more

Fun factor is great and there's lots to do. The entire line waiting and ticketing process to get inside is completely absurd and disorganized. The workers here seem to not care at all about helping anybody or labeling anything appropriately. Don't bother getting any of your tickets online because you have to wait in line to get physical paper copies to even get into wonderworks. This was a very fun experience. I love science and "fun facts", so this was right up my alley. I'm not a fan of tourist traps so I was a bit skeptical about coming. I was really afraid of having my experience ruined by overcrowding of people. I decided to go at night with my fiancé and the place was empty. No kids running around, just peace. We got to experience everything. It's not gimmicky like Ripley's and there's a lot of interactive exhibits. We got our tickets for $40 all together. We had fun yesterday and I'd recommend the experience. However, the staff seems utterly miserable. Not sure what that's about? We bought the Mini Melts ice cream (similar to Dippin Dots). It wasn't until we opened the container that we realized she gave us Cookies and Cream instead of the Cookie Dough flavor we had ordered. No biggie, but this is where it gets weird. I went up to the counter to trade it for the correct flavor and the employee is visibly flustered when she realizes both containers had been opened. I told her we didn't eat any, but we didn't realize we had the wrong flavor until we opened it. She begrudgingly brought us the correct flavors and with a real attitude said, "Now make sure these are correct before you open them because I'll have to pay for the ones you didn't eat." I was so taken aback by that comment. Why would the employee have to pay?! I told her no, in that case we would just eat the cookies and cream. She then grabbed the cookies and cream containers and threw them in the trash. It was such an uncomfortable and unfortunate situation. I truly hope she doesn't have to pay for the mistake. It's a simple mistake on her end, but also she may need some coaching on how to treat customers. She never once apologized and instead just made me feel bad about it like it was my fault. I've been to wonder works 3 times in my life, and this last visit has been the most underwhelming. The first floor is the best by far. Themed around natural disasters, with various activities and simulators, and a Tesla coil that played a song. The remaining levels unfortunately didn't match. The 2nd floor is largely comprised of free-to-play physical arcade games and various broken exhibits (bed of nails, projected sandbox, floor keyboard). The 3rd floor is home to the arcade and what used to be upcharge attractions, such as the ropes course, 4XD Theater, and Laser tag. Because these are now included without limits in the base ticket, the lines are longer and the equipment was much more worn. We played laser tag and the entire time my vest didn't update its score or make any noise. When I informed the attendant she told me it was because I wasn't in the high scorers for that game. It was only after explaining it again, that she actually looked at the vest. It seems that management is trying to put in as little money as possible, and run the location until it dies or becomes unprofitable. read more

We went here expecting something to be upside down like the exterior of the building however it's just a money waster for the ppl who come here and money maker for the owners. Nothing is upside down except the inside entrance where the somewhat disgruntled teenager cashier sits taking money for WWAAAAYYYY over priced tickets, starts at $35 PER adult and $25 for kids. It's more like a $20 joint being that the set up is some illusion games and arcade and other things I've seen at the science center - the maker of those items must sell to every tourist center in the area. Ppl are packed in like sardines and the ventilation is terrible. It's feels stuffy and cramped inside. Positive thing is I've heard the magic show is great for the family and kids have a great time. I did not take my family there just heard from ppl. If you feel like burning some money and time you'll never get back then try this place just keep in mind the only thing upside down here is the exterior. I went to Orlando for work and had some free time by myself so I looked online and found a great deal for admission to both the Wonderworks science exhibits and the Comedy/Magic show after. The ticket cost $50 total and this turns out to be a great price. The Wonderworks exhibits themselves are definitely for children but as an adult going there alone, I still was interested in a few of them. I even went on the virtual reality ride which might not have been the best idea because I brought my inner kid out earlier and ate an entire bag of candy from the store. There was a lot of simulation stuff and learning opportunities at every corner. If I had kids, I would for sure take them here. Next was the comedy/magic show with get this: UNLIMITED PIZZA/SALAD BEER AND WINE. I considered going out to a nice place by myself to eat but I love comedy and magic and PIZZA AND BEER AND WINE, so I tried this out. The pizza was great, salad great, wine always full but the best part was the show. TC Tahoe was performing and I was cracking up the whole time. Not just for kids, he definitely entertains the whole family! He noticed I was awkwardly there alone and pulled me onstage for a magic trick. Such a cool experience! If I'm in Orlando again, I'll definitely return! I've kept in contact with TC Tahoe too and I will absolutely see any of his shows if he heads back to Hollywood! I gave it four stars bc I have to be transparent, it's totally for kids so if you're there alone, people will for sure look at you funny. For an afternoon of great fun, definitely check out Wonder Works. This is like a science center on steroids. The exhibits are educational and full of fun. They even have arcade games that are included in the price of your ticket. There is rope climbing, a basketball shootout game, hurricane room, bubble lab, laser tag, roller coaster simulators, and so much more. You only need about 3-4 hours to get through the whole place. A whole day will not be required. They close pretty late, so you can come around 4PM with time to spare. Let me tell you about their magic comedy show. They serve all you can eat pizza, salad, and drinks. For my gluten-free friends, they even have a pizza for us! I would leave a 5* review for the staff alone even if I didn't have such an amazing time here as a 26 year old child. I don't have kids. I went here as a grown person with my grown person friends. I came here on a whim during my vacation at 10pm. We were worried that most of it would be closed because it was so late but that is not the case at all. We were also lucky that the parking garage power was down when we got there. WOO FREE PARKING!! It's $30 with a two dollar off coupon for admission, one laser tag game, and a ropes course. When you walk in there's an awesome tunnel that may knock you on your butt if you're not careful. No spoilers! Everything, including the hurricane and earthquake experiences, bed of nails, and all of the spinny rides were fully functional. My favorite though was the bubble room, I spent like 20 solid minutes just in there. We definitely got our money's worth. The best part was that I never once felt rushed by any of the staff. I knew they were only staffed til midnight and I really appreciated them. Laser tag went for like 10+ minutes and it was a small room but always so competitive and so fun. The ropes course made me feel like I would die. I only had 15 minutes on there before they were closing but it was a lot of fun!! I definitely recommend this to anyone with nothing to do in the area, or looking for something a little different than the theme parks. If you have kids they will love it. My hubby and I have been trying to get out and try new places and Wonderworks looked like it would be a fun date night. When arriving you really can't miss the place because it's a big upside down bldg. The front entrance also shows the inside being upside down and quite fun to observe. As soon as we went thru the turnstile there was an optical illusion everyone has to walk thru and had me laughing hysterically because I couldn't walk straight while the tunnel was spinning. Once thru that you realize that there is a live video feed for people to watch on the other side. Lol! If anyone was watching while I tried to walk thru then I'm sure I made their night. There were numerous areas and stations showcasing different phenomena with explanations as to why they occurred. There was a bubble spot that we had a fun time playing in and trying to see how long we could make the huge bubbles. Definitely good photo ops with that interactive display. We then made sure to try out the bed of nails - actually quite comfortable. We also went to the level with the rope course. I really like that sort of thing, so I made sure climb across every "path" multiple times. I am glad we went on a weekday so that it wasn't very busy as I don't think it would be very enjoyable with 500 kids running around, there just aren't enough displays or space to accommodate a large crowd. I found that a few of the displays didn't work and some were in need of an update. They also don't validate parking, so be prepared to pay for that too. Wish they would use the arcade area (pay to play) for extra exhibits as that seemed like a waste of space. As an adult, don't go when it's busy if you want to enjoy yourself. read more
