    Lobster roll and fall salad
    Louise F.

Came here for a team lunch. So yeah I got a lobster roll. The salad was good - the ingredients were good. The lobster roll was fine, except i kept biting into shell particles, so actually it wasn't fine.

Been a few years, but this place is still as great as I remember! I still miss the hummus calamari but everything we had was amazing! We got the burger, spicy chicken sandwich, and calamari! All was delicious! Our waitress was super nice and patient with us! And the feel is really fun! Especially in the bar where you can see their massive whiskey selection!

05/23/2026 Came here for weekend brunch which started at 10am. We got there at 10:05am and were the first ones. More people started to arrive closer to 11am. They had an Astrology-themed cocktail menu that seemed intriguing, but we had a lot of plans that day and didn't drink. I loved their bar setup with a rolling ladder to reach the top shelf bottles. For food, I got the Woodblock Benedict with house-smoked pork belly. I asked for the hollandaise sauce on the side since I don't like when my food is drenched in it. Their hollandaise was different - it had a thinner consistency and a hint of lemon. Overall a delicious meal. My friend got the Mama's Plate with bacon and enjoyed it too. Service was good - since we were the only diners for a little while, we got all of the attention. The entire staff was very professional and polite. I would definitely dine here again and try their lunch and dinner items.

Had a work dinner here a few nights ago and had a good time. The place has all sorts of different seating whether it's at the bar or a big group. I wasn't feeling like a big entree but I put together a fun little meal out of their falafel bites and tomato soup- both were really good. I appreciated that the service folks made sure I got some extra toasted bread with my soup. A coworker got the buttermilk fried chicken and it was an impressive serving. Also loved the extensive selection of whiskey, cocktails, and non alcoholic cocktails. Non alcoholic options really allow anyone to relax with a drink. But not me I had woodinville rye whiskey because it's a local fav. OH! They sell hotdogs here and that's awesome cause it's hard to find a good hotdog place- and these hotdogs are made of freakin waygu beef.

Really unique grilled Caesar with salmon. Delish!

Taking my review down a notch. They need to have a few more choices on the menu. Every time we think about coming here, we think, no, not enough options to choose from. The cocktails are great though.

Came here on President's Day for lunch with two others (the restaurant was still open!, and there was plenty of free holiday street parking hehe). I ordered the grain bowl and it was pretty tasty. I think their menu wasn't as exciting to me overall (the brunch and dinner ones looked great) but the food was pretty fresh and tasty. The person waiting our table was very friendly and patient with us, given how long we took to pick drinks and food, and I appreciate that!

We had pre-Cirque du Soleil brunch reservations as they opened. It's a cute place right by the park. The staff was super friendly and even shared some handmade knit heart necklaces! We ordered salmon benedict, croque madame, beet salad with chicken, and two orders of the banana foster French toast. Drink service was expedient and cordial. We started with an order of the cauliflower which was very tasty. Food came out quickly. All of the dishes were excellent! Our server checked in appropriately and was very pleasant. We really enjoyed brunch at Woodblock and would recommend it.

Bfast tacos - 3.5/5 good but not special.

We walked over from Redmond town center and got a spot easily outside at 11ish on a Saturday. Service was prompt and so was the food. The scotch egg was a fun new thing to try and quite tasty. We split it and the bfast tacos, which was plenty of food for 2. A lovely brunch day!

Yum, yum is honestly all I can think about when I remember today's burger and salad. We stopped here on our way to Costco and I'm so glad we did. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. I was really in the mood for a burger (me being genetically anemic, my body definitely craves red meat), so both my husband and I ordered the aged burger--mine with a gluten free bun and his lettuce-wrapped. We added avocado and jalapeño, and on the side we shared the beet salad. Holy moly... everything was so good. Now I officially have a few favorite burger spots to choose from The restaurant has a super chill, stylish vibe, and I can already tell the outdoor seating in summer must be amazing. We'll definitely be back. Big thank-you to the sweet young lady who took care of us and the young gentleman who seated us and brought our water right away--great service all around!

    Woodblock Burger and Clam Chowder

Nice stop at Woodblock this afternoon after a late morning meeting. Perfect for one that wanted breakfast and one that wanted lunch. Parking was a little work, but that's Redmond's fault! Welcomed and moved to a table right away. Better-half had their namesake burger and cup of chowder, and I had the biscuits and gravy with links, and added a couple poached eggs. Great outer crisp on the biscuits - perfectly pillowy inside, and a really nice gravy. Nice jammy eggs! The burger was fantastic and we'd order again in a minute. Chowder had good flavor, but that 'everyone makes chowder on Fridays and reheats what doesn't sell on Saturday' look to it. (I'd still definitely try it again.) As always, super clean and no 'conversation-pollution', with great natural light. Nice to have? Maybe stash a cpl printed menus, since the WiFi and menu were not cooperating for folks! Another nice-to-have? Half the wall of a TREMENDOUS whiskey offering! !

Half eaten scotch egg, still as good as I remembered.

Woodblock continues to be a solid option in Redmond for brunch, happy hour and dinner. I took my parents and kids for brunch to celebrate a birthday and we were able to share a few plates. The brunch portions were decent and everything was tasty. The service was a little slow and I think it had to do with the fact that we sat outside, on the other side of the corralled area. I would avoid that spot, it feels like you are on the street. The table was a bit wobbly as well. Other than that, we had a good meal.

I thought the burrata was really good and the burger was very filling! The truffle fries were definitely worth it. I like how they gave a lot of sauces! Vibes were nice and the service was friendly.

We visited on Saturday night, for dinner, with a group of four adults and two kids and it was a very nice experience. We arrived early and they had the table ready in seconds. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders. We tried Fall Harvest and Lost in Tijuana, both were very tasty. We started with a couple appetizers; The Deviled Scotch Eggs and the Charcuterie Board (added sardines and mousse). Both were well prepared and fresh. Strangely the sardines were simply in an opened tin, they might have presented them a bit better. After that we went with entrees; Caesar Salad and Tomato Soup, Pear Salad with Salmon, Steak and Blue Linguini, Brisket Gnocchi, and kids meals. All were excellent. The service was outstanding. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and professional. She kept up with clearing plates and refills like a champ. Overall, and excellent place for dinner and drinks.

Is the Dinner Menu available for lunch?

Is brunch reservations only or are walk ins possible for the weekend?

You can definitely walk in. I suggest to go right at opening time if you want to be seated right away.

Hi! is your outdoor seating dog friendly?

    Yes! We love dogs.

Are you going to be open for takeout on Thanksgiving? I'd like to support y'all (and not cook!) that day.

We will be closed Thanksgiving so our staff family can rest and be with their households. Thanks for asking!

Are kids allowed? This is for brunch and not an evening or night out

Yes! They're welcome and they have a kids menu. The four cheese mac is a favorite with our five year old.

Is this only a bar? Can my awesome kid join me here?

They do have seating other than bar seating and outside seating so yes your child can join you

It did seem like it would be a fun place to watch a game with friends. I got the burger and fries off the Happy Hour menu for $14. We were warmly greeted at the door and invited in. While walking us to our table, the owner who was seating us offered us a $4 mimosa. How could we say no, so she presented us with a few non-standard options like watermelon (and I can't remember the other types, my bad!). It turns out that it's their new brunch special, so if you accept the mimosa on the way in, it's $4, where the regular price is $10 -- definitely good to keep in mind if you're visiting during weekend brunch! When it came down to the food, I ordered the fried bologna sandwich while my husband had the tom tom benedict (green and red tomatoes). Both were quite good -- I loved the twist on the ol' bologna sandwich, though I the tom tom bene was prob our fave. Anyhow, I was suprised at how much we liked the food from this tavern, and I'll definitely include it as an option from now on, when we're coming up with places to visit. Highly recommend this place. It's relatively new, it's quite sizable, and the owners are just lovely. I do hope that more people find out about this gem and visit!

This small building can be easily missed if you don't take the time to step inside and see what it's all about. Personally I don't drink much whiskey, but he gets excited by the selection and the helpful people behind the counter. They can help you find something in your price range. You can also get a flight. They have special Whiskey Talk nights and tasting events. You can get also get other drinks and even order food to eat inside. I usually get the Black Rabbit Red wine, but there are a couple beers on tap. Of course this is also a stop for a passport stamp. If it's cold and not too loud we do occasionally sit inside. It has a quaint, cramped vibe so you may get to know your neighbors. If the weather is good we often sit outside by one of the many fires. Sometimes there is live music playing in the courtyard and this makes for a great way to spend an evening. But if you don't know you can also get your drinks to go and walk around exploring the grounds, just be aware you are not supposed to cross the street with your drinks to the pool/Nui Nui bar.

Michelle and the Sammamish River Trail, and there is a lot to like here. Food & Drink: The food is very good across the board. The chicken sandwich is a standout, and they have some of the better wings in the area if you like a dry rub. The fish and chips have a solid crunch despite being light/airy, and both the beef and lamb burgers are well executed. The homemade black bean burger is an underrated vegan option. The Green Goddess salad is also pretty good, and gluten-free buns are available. They rotate in seasonal items as well, so there is usually something different on the menu. The bar leans more toward cocktails and whiskey than beer. The whiskey selection is great. Other spirits are less diverse, but there is enough to make most cocktails. They are solid at making the classics--I've had the Martini, Paper Plane, Gimlet, and Manhattan here, and all have been very good. The seasonal cocktail menu is also usually well done, with options built around a variety of spirits. This isn't a top-grade cocktail program, but it is pretty solid and fits the vibe of the place well. One of their quirks is the alcoholic milkshake. I haven't had one, but have heard good things. The beer menu is probably a little weak in terms of options for somewhere with "Tavern" in the name. They still have some local brews on tap, but beer clearly isn't the focus here. Ambiance & Service: Hollywood Tavern has a great location in Woodinville, near Chateau Ste. Michelle and the Sammamish River Trail. There is a decently sized parking lot that usually doesn't overflow. The outdoor seating area is solid, complete with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. Inside looks and feels like a tavern. There is some great wall art showing the building from when it was a gas station and Woodinville was still "out in the sticks." The interior is basically divided into two halves, with the bar on one side. There is a nice rustic wood-top bar with seating for maybe ten, plus additional high-top seating along the windows. There is also an indoor/outdoor-feeling section along the road. There is usually a good buzz in the room. It isn't a quiet or intimate spot, but it also isn't really a "socialize with the locals" type of tavern. It works particularly well for a casual date night or a guys' or girls' night out. Country music (Bluegrass/Americana) is usually what's playing (fairly quietly). It also works surprisingly well for families. Between the noise level and lack of formal dining, it is a good option for a "fancy" family dinner where everyone can still relax. The kids menu is fairly standard, but portions are solid and the value is good. Kids get crayons and coloring menus, and parents can actually enjoy the food and drinks without feeling like they brought their kids somewhere they shouldn't have. Service is above average. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the service fits the casual atmosphere well. Final Thoughts: Five stars. Think upscale tavern with more of a focus on cocktails than beer, but with country music and a rustic finish. Hollywood Tavern combines very good food, solid cocktails, a great whiskey selection, above-average service, and one of the better casual atmospheres in Woodinville. It works equally well for a casual date night, a night out with friends, or a nicer family dinner. Von's or The Shed, will get the press/publicity in the area, but for me, this place is an underrated gem. -AC

They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.
