This was an awesome casual restaurant with good food and a cozy cabin feel to it. There are over 20 tables in the main dining area. It is byo which is awesome. I came here for dinner with my wife and another couple. We sat at the high table on the right side of the restaurant. The server was very attentive. The restaurant was packed, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their experience. The menu is quite eclectic. They have wood-fired pizza, burgers and bar food, and had a specials menu for latin cuisine options. For appetizers, We ordered the wings which were cooked well and tasty. I ordered the wood fire pizza. Two of us ordered the burger, and the other ordered the Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian dish off of the Latin menu. Everything came out quickly. The service was really good. The wood fired pizza was pretty tasty, and probably the best thing we ordered. The crust and sauce were good. My wife didnt love the burger. She thought it lacked flavor. But I thought it was good. The Lomos Saltado was missing rice and a bit more seasoning, but it was OK. I would definitely come back for the pizza and wings though. The prices were great. We tried this place on a Saturday afternoon since it received such high ratings. In general , it was simply average to us . The service was good and atmosphere was fun being a quaint small cottage venue right of York Road The Restaurant seats about 20 patrons max. The weather was inclement so we didn't dine outside which can seat around 12 folks We didn't try the pizza but our company did and it looked very good. They loved it. I had the shrimp salad wrap and my wife had the wings. They were mediocre at best. French fries were average but the side salads were very fresh and well prepared. The fried pickles are great too. If you want a quick casual lunch or dinner and you are local, you may want to give it a try. read more

We sat outside and it was lovely. My husband and I shared the the fig/Brie/sausage pizza and the cranberry chicken salad. The salad came out already split on two plates, which was such a nice touch. It was loaded it toppings-cheese, bacon, grilled chicken-it was so so good. My kind of salad! My kids both loved their hotdogs as well. The fries were really good and not your run of the mill fries. Our first time and really impressed. Not a huge place but Tom runs a fantastic operation. Wait staff shares tips at end of night so service is exceptional with plenty of attentive and friendly servers. Started with the fried pickles which were delicious as was the sauce that came with them. Not the traditional chips but long spears deep friend to perfection. Had a Woodfire Burger (done perfectly medium rare) with hand cut fries. We wanted to try their pizza so we ordered the double pepperoni 'Tommy Boy'. Really good flavors and crust was thin and crispy. So glad we now live close to this place. Not a lot of options around here but thankfully there is Woodfire. read more

Great for kids! Nice menu for them and they include drinks and give options beyond fries for a side. Adult entrees were great too. Wood fired pizza was yummy and the bean burger was quite good. Would have given 5 stars if a) they didn't bring my kids fries when they ordered applesauce (which means they are there tempting everyone), the broccoli was just steamed and not spiced in butter, and they didn't charge $2 not to get something healthier than fries or $5+ to get protein with the salads. Loved the food and the customer service. Called to place my order and the lady on the phone was super nice. The restaurant is right off of 83 and I feel like it would be a nice date trip place. It has its own parking lot and it very close to several Vineyards in the area. Ordered burgers and they were delicious. I also ordered the Old Bay Wings - cooked perfectly and seasoned well. After previous visits when the owner was very welcoming, this time (he wasn't there) our experience was bad enough we won't ever go back. We were served a burnt appetizer - never should have left the kitchen. Not a disaster, but our waitress never came by. A different waitress collected the uneaten food and said item would be removed from bill. Fine. Primary waitress did not serve our main meal and never came by. When we finally paid, I said we wouldn't be back. As I turned my back to walk away, I heard the waitress snicker and say "whatever." So - if the waitstaff doesn't care about serving quality food and doing their best to create a positive customer experience, I will go elsewhere. What a shame - I bet the owner will never be the wiser. read more

We love this place. We hit it at least once each time we go to PA for xmas. Missing it this year. pizzas are woodfired and yummy. Burgers are made with local beef. Delicious Homemade ice creams. I got to sub the grilled chicken for the blackened tuna for a slight up charge, but it was well worth it!! I couldn't imagine it without it. Soo good. Really enjoyed it. Crab dip appetizer was really good too. I must say it's best I've had in a long time. Hubby got the Woodfire Burger which is made with local Rosetta beef, which we've also come to not be able to live without so great choice sharing local business. The fries tasted great also. Today, 7/22/18, was my first visit to Woodfire Kitchen. I went to high school about a half mile up the road and we certainly had nothing like this restaurant 35 years ago. I'm happy to see a decent local restaurant take root. My mother, wife and I arrived around noon and were told by the hostess to sit anywhere we liked. The dining area has a nice ambiance, though it can get a little noisy. Our server came to get our drink order after about 5 minutes - 2 unsweetened iced teas and a water. She took our orders - all three of us ordered the smoked brisket sandwich with fries. You can substitute a side salad or a vegetable for the fries. My wife and I also ordered a cup of the cream of crab soup. We were asked if we wanted the soup as an appetizer, and we told here we did. After 20 or so minutes, our sandwiches were delivered by another server. We had to tell her that we didn't get our soup. She left before I could ask for more iced tea - my glass was empty for 15 minutes. Our soup arrived, but I really didn't want it at this point. What I wanted was another iced tea! Our server NEVER checked back to see if we needed anything. Fortunately, one of the owners saw that I was looking around and came to our aid. He got us more drinks and a "to go" container for the soup. I did give the soup a try and it tasted really good. I think $7 for a cup is a typical going rate for cream of crab. Overall, the food was really good. The brisket was juicy and tender, but maybe a little overpriced at $15. The service sucked. But I'm not giving a restaurant owner a crappy review because of a clueless employee. He was doing his best to make sure we were taken care of after we told him how bad the server was screwing up. We'll be back, in spite of the service, to try one of the wood-fired pizzas. They look awesome! read more

We come here a few times per season. The owner is fantastic and really makes my children feel welcome. We have eaten most of the menu. The roseda burger is great. I think the seasoning is very good. I usually add bacon and try a different cheese every now and again. My burger is cooked to my liking. The fries are crispy. I think they are hand cut and are very good- but crispy. My kids love the hot dog and the pizza. My daughter likes pizza without sauce (probably not pizza but...) she really enjoys it the crust is cooked in the brick oven and adds that smoky flavor. The hot dog is a solid dog. It is on a good bun and isn't a cheap dog. The chicken sandwich is great. Add bacon and cheddar cheese and you have a pretty solid sandwich. I like it as the GOAT but the GOAT is great as chicken or a burger. The pizzas are really good. They are not huge but you can tell the ingredients are not canned or cheap. The sausage fig and Brie is fantastic. I love the gunpowder as well. My family enjoys the marguerita pizza. But my favorite is the GOAT pizza. I guess I just enjoy the balsamic and fig on anything. The staff is pretty young but responsive. The tables can be close together if it is busy. I do love the atmosphere and am thrilled to have such a nice place in the neighborhood! read more

Sweet locally owned place. I stopped in at 4 PM on a Saturday, really an off-hours time of the day. There were two attractions- gumbo & fried pickles. The gumbo is no longer on the menu, and the fried pickles were dill pickle spears, not the bread and butter pickle chips I had hoped for and learn to love traveling in the south. Nevertheless, the wait staff was friendly and prompt, my pulled pork sandwich was tasty and came with very good french fries. The barbecue sauce is not mixed with the pork, but apply to the bun, and you can probably ask for it to be served on the side. One caveat. Do not salt your food before tasting it. I did not find my food excessively salty, but there was certainly no need for me to add any at the table. read more

Stopped at Woodfire based on the reviews. We were extremely dissatisfied. We ordered chicken breast sandwiches and they were awful and rubbery. We took the so called dinners on the road. My chicken breast was inedible so I threw it out. The fries were over salted, greasy and stale, We will never go back and I STRONGLY urge your to ignore the possibility fake reviews and to go elsewhere. My daughter and I stopped here on a very busy Saturday afternoon, Nov. 11, 2023. There was a huge high school event nearby and a lacrosse tournament nearby. We were doing both and had some time to grab a quick bite. We googled "restaurants near me" and arrived at Woodfire Kitchen. When we walked in every table was filled but the staff was friendly and we were able to get a table quickly. The food came quickly, was delicious and the staff was amazing. I tried the sausage, fig, and Brie pizza and it was SO good! Definitely recommend. My family ordered takeout on our way back from a trip, and weren't able to eat right away--so of course we needed to reheat the food. Many decent pizza places serve food that becomes really mediocre when it's reheated, so in a COVID environment takeout has been a hit or miss. But everything from here was still really delicious! I also love their practices with local ingredients, it feels nice to support a restaurant that supports the community. Would 100% return on the next trip! read more
