    Sauv blanc and rose

My friend and I popped in here and were about to leave when we realized it was a natural wine bar, but the bartender convinced us to just try a taste before we left. I can't believe it, but he managed to find me a natural wine I liked! The rose was my favorite. It didn't have that usual funky flavor that other natural wines have. I was sold! Service was good and the vibes were cool. We sat at the bar but they also had two patio options. Next time!

Nice little winery/brewery just a few blocks from the beach! They serve up their own beers and natural wines, and empanadas in partnership with el porteno. We came to cool off with a refreshing drink after a walk along the Great Highway. They had bar seating indoors, a parklet in the front, and then some bench seating around a fireplace in the back. We opted to sit in the back and enjoyed what felt like a small private backyard. I didn't know the wines were natural when I heard about this place, but based on their uniqueness and funk, you can definitely tell they're natural upon first sip. Not a bad thing, just don't expect your typical glass of wine here. I wasn't in a natural wine mood, so I ended up getting their hazy IPA and my boyfriend their retro pilsner. We both liked our beers and enjoyed hanging out outside. Honestly the highlight here was the empanadas. I'm not always a huge empanada girl, but these were so damn good. We got a mushroom and ham & cheese to share and both were fantastic. The mushroom one was juicy and full of flavor, and the ham & cheese was well balanced with the richness from the cheese and the saltiness from the ham, which to my surprise an delight was prosciutto (clearly I didn't read the menu well). Would come back here again for a post-walk bite and beer, and maybe a glass of wine if I were in the mood for something natural!

Lovely little spot serving seasonal drafts and Empanadas. Very friendly service. Clean and cozy with some indoor and some outdoor seating. I'd totally go back when in the area for a quick bite.

visited this place from a recommendation of a friend who lives in the area and said it was a great place for empanadas and drinks, and she did not disappoint they have super interesting beers and wines and absolutely delicious empanadas. I had spent a few moments trying to decide which empanada to get before the bartender let me know there was literally only one left (the champignon mushroom one), and after I ordered it the poor guys next to me got turned away when trying to order some as well we tried the local honey beer with our snack which was super interesting and fun, I would get it again for sure. the bar overall had a really nice chill relaxing vibe. if I lived in the area I could definitely see myself being a regular here grabbing an empanada and a drink!

Small wine and beer spot that has amazing empanadas (Our favorites are the ham and cheese or the mushroom!). Staff is super friendly and the place has a great ambiance. You can choose to sit inside, or outside in the parklet or the small patio with fire pit in back. Leased/well behaved dogs are allowed inside and outside.

Went on a hike with the pups and was looking for a place to grab some beer. Used Yelp and found this gem! Dogs allowed inside and the service was great. They answered all my questions and made great recommendations. I enjoyed every beer I tasted and can't wait to go back!

Cute little place. Out close to the beach. Nice open street sitting space and friendly bar area. To eat they offer hot empanadas, a few to choose from. Good interesting beer to choose from too. Clean bathroom as well! They also have an outback area. The have an outdoor fire pit, replete with garbage cans and random rubbish. Would be much nicer if it were a little more cleaned up. Maybe consider tossing the rusty shelfs and hiding the trash bins behind a bamboo curtain so they're out of sight and out of mind.

The bartender was GREAT and the rose was delicious but we went there because while the location is small they have outside sitting. The front heaters no longer had gas "because we are getting rid of them" but they still had their parklet set up. The back area (which is noted to have a fire pit?) wasn't open. I assume bc she was the only staff - but that wasn't told to me. We still had a nice book club meeting but probably wouldn't pick the location again.

There's also some outside patio seating in the front. - My wife and I split a flight of beer, which they provide in three 6 ounce pours. We especially liked their Hazy IPA, but the Oktoberfest was very good too. The bartender said their Kolsch is a bit of a classic, and we liked it too, but it wasn't a stand out to us. I later got a 10 ounce pour of their IPA and felt like that was the best of all. The best part is that you couldn't go wrong with any of the beers. - We got chips and guacamole from the taco truck guy located inside next to the bar...You pay by cash, and we got a big container of chips and a humongous couple of scoops of guac for $9. I know here is SF and this type of behavior is common now. But this place is counter-order only and they only got like 2 servers. So I have to walk over to the counter, wait in line, order my 14 oz beer and small burger with fries, then you charge me a random 5% because it was too hard integrate this to your regular prices. Also, as the usual sneakiness of all of these places, that 5% is added after the tax, which makes it effectively more than 5%. - And as for the cherry on top, they let dogs go and sit on chairs indoors. Having dogs indoors is already a CA health violation, but here is SF, so what you gonna do. But having dogs on chairs is just another level. - Finally, on the only nice note about this place, the kitchen staff looked very on point and clean. Burgers not so much though.

Remembering that he had been wanting to check out 21st Amendment for some years now, I suggested that we go here. DJ was immediately sold. After calling two to three times to no avail, we temporarily parked nearby, so that DJ could walk in to check if they were still open and serving dinner. Thankfully, they were open, but they didn't hear the phone ring. We reparked, then arrived shortly before 7:30 PM and were seated immediately. I had been at 21st Amendment before for a very enjoyable lunch with some colleagues back in November, 2019 and the place looked exactly how I remembered it. Venue: 4 stars. With concrete floors and walls with wooden tables and chairs & benches, the restaurant has a rustic and industrial air. Upon entry, patrons are greeted by the bar with seating and its attendants. They have an open kitchen from where the cooks can nod greetings to you. The entire space, including the women's restroom is kept clean & tidy. DJ's only complaint was that he did not enjoy some of the techno music that would play in between the salsa and reggaeton songs both of which I was totally digging. Food: 3 stars. In addition to the TALL HAT that DJ ordered and fully enjoyed, below-listed are the food items that we had. Soup of the Day, Gumbo ($7 cup) - I was given a couple of complimentary slices of toasted bread to accompany my New Orleans stew which were nice to dip in the broth and eat. I'm not quite sure what kind of meat was used, but there was no sausage. 21st Amendment's version of gumbo is more like a soup rather than a stew as the broth was not as thick as usual. The flavour was still good, but I did wish that there was okra. When I was at the bottom of the cup and asked how I liked the gumbo, I commented that I enjoyed it, but was surprised that it was completely absent of rice. Our server, Luis, went back to the kitchen to inquire, returned, informing me that the kitchen admitted to forgetting it, so with a new cup including rice in hand, he served the second serving to me and comped the cup from our bill. Wow, I was very impressed by how the matter was handled. Veggie Burger ($16) with Garlic Fries ($2) - DJ said that the sriracha flavour of the aioli was light/faint. He would have preferred a little more punch of spice from the condiment. The garlic fries were not bad. Baja Fish Tacos with mixed greens ($19) - The two tacos were very generous in portions and the fish were perfectly fried golden. I found the cod to be fishy in taste, so I gave my second taco to DJ. He did not notice any fishy flavour which is very interesting because he is a vegetarian and I expected him to notice it much more than I did. Weird. Meat Lover's PIZZA ($20) - We ordered two of these twelve inch pies for to-go for the boys. Both said that they were good. Service: 5 stars. As I mentioned before, Luis was our waiter and he delivered stellar service. As a former server, myself, I noticed immediately the excellent care we were given by him. The entire night, I kept commenting to DJ on every moment that Luis demonstrated his top-notch customer service. We will definitely need to come back...when Luis is working!
