I found this place through Barstool Pizza Review, so I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I'd give it a solid 4.5-5 stars. I've been trying different pizza spots all day, and I wouldn't say this was the best one I had, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. It was just a good, solid pizza. Next time I'll ask for no Parmesan, and I think that could easily make it a 5-star experience for me. Service was okay. It seemed like they were mostly set up for dine-in, and since there really wasn't anywhere for us to sit, we felt a little rushed. The lady who helped us was very nice, and the gentleman who handed us the pizza was nice as well. The place has a cool neighborhood feel and looks like they may be doing some construction or improvements right now. The first thing I realized was that this isn't an official Harry Potter establishment - some intellectual property barriers force them to post generic pictures of wizards and people who sort of look like HP characters, a bunch of floating candles and flying dragons on the huge LED ceiling screen, although they do make a reference to the Ministry of Magic in the washrooms. Anyways, the food is the clear star of the show.... Mandrake Flower Pot Hummus Butternut squash, chick peas, paprika with veggie crudite - enough to whet the appetite of four muggles. There's plenty of hummus in a long coffee cup container. Deviled Dragon Eggs Four half-eggs, with different color dyes... a little like a high school project, but not bad either. The yolk is green because they've made it guacamole, with pickled jalapeno (they probably need more), and cilantro. Golden Arancini A play on the golden snitch - cirspy, parmesan dusted rice balls with house tomato sauce. Sorta like mac n cheese balls, except with rice - well crisped on the outer shell... quite yummy! Sorcerer's Salad Little gem, cabbage, mint, cilantro, furikake, avocado, and sesame dressing. Like the Arancini, it's mouthwatering, and a guiltless treat... easy to share and well portioned.. Great Hall Feast Hand cut ribeye, chargrilled broccolini, duchess potatoes. A little reminiscient of those rennaisance fair events, but delicious - they actually prepared it medium rare. Broccolini okay and mashed potatoes meh. Fireside Pot Pie Impressive presentation with the domed baked top, but the inside was more like a chicken chowder - very watery, and difficult to share. Flavors are there, however. Shepherd's Pie Ground beef, pork blend, farm vegetables, whipped potatoes, baked then topeed with crisped curled potatoes and garlic. Mouthwatering! It's served in a wide bowl, so it was a few minutes before we realized what it was. This one was my favorite! We also had the Creme Incendio and Florean's Ice Cream Sandwich - both excellent! This is a definite must stop again - because I need to try the Pretzel Wands and then Kapfoot's Fish and Chips. And finally, oh, what imaginative cocktails.... That's all...

Their beer is excellent, and I've heard nothing but great things about the place and people. We visited on a Sunday and met friends, who said it took a while to get a big table for us; it was surprisingly packed! It's a large industrial brewery, with the equipment chained off at the back. They make great use of the rest of the building with large tables, small tables, bar seating/standing room, plus an arcade area, outside seating area, and a few cozy living room style areas with stuffed furniture at the back. To the right on entry is the canned beer for takeout, to the left is their large bar and impressive tap list. We mostly get IPAs, so it was fun to try their other styles like rice lagers and a barleywine, everything was excellent. Their flights are huge, basically half size goblet pours in a six rack. Prices are reasonable for the well developed beer. They also had a food vendor outside, which we loved (see separate review). It's great to see a place equally rock great beer and a fun experience, I definitely look forward to returning sometime soon.

I stopped by here again last week with a friend who came up from San Jose, grabbed a few beers as the service is usually super quick even on busy days, got my usual IPA, and grabbed a seat outside as it was pretty hot. Great place to hangout, they have a mini-arcade for kids if you've got little ones, and of course a to go fridge if you want to grab some cans to go! This is definitely a fun place to be, and if you're watching sports, they've got Tv's as well!

Frankly, the guy was so awful and idiotic (a certain R word comes to mind but I can't use it to describe someone) that I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Some of the employees are on some lame power kick and while they could ALL make more money if they were civil, they are more intent on bullying new customers than on providing good service. I cannot imagine why the owner thinks this is a good business plan unless they have brain damage. About the worst customer service I've had in my entire 53 years.
