The drinks at woods are always great. They have a back patio which is nice on warmer days if you can find seating (it's shared long tables). The vibe inside is elevated beer / wine bar but still casual. Was there on a Monday night and they had live jazz which was pretty cool. They recently changed to tacos (instead of the old Joyride pizza) and honestly was pretty disappointed in the new food. The chicken tostada had cold chicken and was basically a cheesy salad. The bartender did comp a chicken taco for me to make up for it but it was nothing special either sadly. The wine and vibes are great however if you eat before!

Woods was a nice surprise for our evening! We wanted some drinks and apps, and this was the perfect place. Even when the inside was full and it was ~45°, the patio was still cozy and warmed with heaters. It's order at the counter, the food we had was GREAT. Came out extremely fast and was awesome Mexican food. Would go back!

This place has both indoor seating an outdoor patio in the back. You order at the bar. There's light bites, wings, and pizza to nosh on while you enjoy their beers and wines. Love the vibes of this place, and it's a great spot to catch up with friends/coworkers.

Hate to be a hater, but the beer here is very underwhelming. For the price, $10 for an 11 ounce pour of a sour, I expected great things. I was sorely disappointed.

Have been here a handful of times now and have had a great time every visit. Great locations with fresh beer and wine, cozy environment with rotating art on display, delicious Detroit style pizza on site from Joyride, chill playlists, nice breezy plant covered patio and sometimes live jazz inside. Ive tried a few of their wines and a couple of their brews. Ive enjoyed all of them. The pizza is also pretty solid! You order at the bar and they give you your drinks directly from there and bring food out to you. I also saw they have a bottle shop too if you just want to get some beer/wine to go. Ive brought friends from out of town here as well snd they also enjoyed it. Check it out.

I came here after a happy hour event nearby, and let me just say this place hit the spot. I've been to Joyride in SoMa, but Woods raised the bar. I love how large the venue is and how they have a large selection of pizzas, wings, drinks, and desserts, so there's guaranteed to be something for everyone. Perfect spot to hit up for a night out!

Came in for a drink after wanting to check it out in the neighborhood. Great selection of beer and wine. Favorites were the chilled red, sour beer, and cider. It's cute inside and a small outdoor area as well. Bartender was great and friendly. They sell Joyride pizza which is delicious too. You can get a personal size or a full size pizza and have cut into however many slices you'd like. We ended up getting a half size/personal pizza and sharing it. I'd definitely come back and try more drinks/beer/wine

woods is such a cute brewery in lower haight! the beers are all amazing and super high quality. the blueberry boyfriend sour was my favorite. for the food (from joyride pizza), i'd recommend skipping the tater tots which were very regular. however, the veggie pizza was super delicious! the crust was amazing and baked with cheese. service was fine but the bartender wasn't the most friendly in my opinion. there was also only one person pouring and taking orders on a sunday afternoon. that's fine, but i'd expect a bit more hospitality and friendliness to be honest. overall, i would come back to woods and also go to their other locations!

I LOVE Woods! I have been to Woods quite a few times, but this is my first time leaving a review. My parents were visiting for the day so we decided to take them. We got a few beers and the green goddess pizza and sausage and mushroom pizza. Delicious!! SF blessed us with some beautiful weather so we could enjoy their cute back patio. I appreciate that they are dog friendly and I can always count on them for a quick drink or bite to eat

Really nice spot for dinner/drinks. They have a joyride kitchen on-site so the pizzas are freshly made to order and are delicious! For anyone who likes Detroit style pizza its a must try. I particularly like the sweet heat one with pineapples and jalapenos. The pizzas are pretty expensive - $27 for most of them and they're not too big, but they are filling and really yummy. One pizza should be enough for 1-2 people. Their drink menu has beer and natural wine (wine with no additives) with most wines around $15 per glass. There's tons of seating indoors, with tables for 2 and booths for larger groups of up to 6. The inside is dimly lit and makes for a nice intimate atmosphere. There's also an outdoor patio with 4-5 benches that can seat large groups. Service is all at the counter - you order there and the pizzas are brought over to your table. Will definitely be back!

The Woods Lowside has such a great vibe! I love coming here for some fresh beer and amazing pizza. The Woods has a nice outside patio in the back, which is amazing when it is sunny out, and a parklet in the front with heaters. In addition, there are big booths and seats at the bar inside. The Woods had beer and wine. I'm a beer drinker and love the rotating options. This time, I had Local Honey, which is a cult favorite. I have never had their wine, but I hear it is good. The Woods also serves Joyride Pizza. Joyride Pizza is Detroit-style, and the crust is thick, soft, and perfectly doughy with crispy cheese on the edges. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken. It has Buffalo sauce, mozzarella, chicken, green onions, and blue cheese. It is soooo good. Joyride also offers gluten-free, and its just as good as the regular pizza. Nothing is better than pizza and a pint!

Charging the $10 event fee on discretion before the posted event start time seems... shady? illegal? My two friends got in a few minutes before with no cover. I was dealing with a bike lock while they went in. We were not there for the event but rather as volunteers from the weekly cleanup refuse crew in the Mission. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

We stopped in over Labor Day weekend and I was actually surprised by how quiet it was, which made it a nice place to sit and enjoy a glass without feeling crowded or rushed. Where they lost me was the wine pricing. The by-the-glass prices are pretty steep, with most around $16-$20 and Champagne at $25. I'm completely fine paying more at a wine bar for the atmosphere, service, and experience, but knowing what some of these bottles actually retail for, the markup felt excessive for what was being poured. They do offer a full food menu and some of it sounds interesting, but I wasn't impressed enough with the wine experience or value to want to stay and try the food, so I can't speak to that. I'm glad I finally checked Frenchie out after seeing it online so much. It's a cute space and I can see the appeal, but for me the value just isn't there at these prices

Plus, the people watching was pretty entertaining, which definitely added to the experience. The three of us only tried two different wines. My friend ordered a glass of Masha, while my other friend and I both ordered the Los Chuchaquis. The verdict: Masha was really good. Good enough that a second glass was ordered! As for the Los Chuchaquis, I personally didn't love it. I found it a little too tannic and bitter for my taste. If you have a low tolerance for bitterness, this might not be the wine for you. That said, my friend, who ordered the same wine, absolutely loved it and thought it was delicious. So maybe I just ordered the wrong wine for my palate? ‍ Either way, the wine is only part of the experience. The energy here is fantastic, the bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the crowd was cheerful without being obnoxious, which I really appreciate.
